![]() Feet On The Ground |
(2) 6/5(+0%) | (2) Feet On The Ground 6/5, All 3 qualifying runs over 2m at Uttoxeter, shaping well when third the last twice. Appeals as a likely improver in handicaps and high on the list. Third on last two outings and more may be possible on this handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sweet Caryline |
(1) 7/4(+0%) | (1) Sweet Caryline 7/4, Made a winning handicap debut at Fontwell (19f, good) in November. Creditable fourth of 11 here (2½m) in December and ran well again when second to an improver at Kempton (2m, soft) 19 days ago. Considered. Won at Fontwell (2m3f) in November and has run creditably on both starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Coco Brave |
(3) 7/1(+0%) | (3) Coco Brave 7/1, Shaped as if needing the run when third in 20.5f Southwell handicap on reappearance but finishing weakly over the same trip at Leicester with a tongue tie added (retained) 8 weeks later. Now back at around 2m. Still early days. Below form on last three starts but this step back down in trip may well help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Prairie Queen |
(6) 10/1(+0%) | (6) Prairie Queen 10/1, Poor form at best in bumpers and over hurdles, looking a hard ride (hung badly right) when fifth of 10 in 19.5f Bangor handicap 19 days ago. A return to a right-handed track may help but it's still hard to be positive. Kept hanging right latest but she does have some ability; goes right-handed this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Janespriceless |
(5) 20/1(+0%) | (5) Janespriceless 20/1, Failed to complete both starts in points and no promise in 3 hurdles with a tongue tie fitted. Handicap debut. 30l sixth of 11 in Taunton novice (2m1f, soft; 200-1); basement mark for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Inion Tiogair |
(4) 25/1(+0%) | (4) Inion Tiogair 25/1, Bumper winner but has yet to reach that level over hurdles, including well beaten in all 5 handicap starts. Has plenty to prove. No sign of her initial form, including in five handicaps in the mud. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Sweet Caryline won over 2m3f at Fontwell in November and has not been disgraced on either subsequent start. However, marginal preference is for FEET ON THE GROUND, who has improved with each outing in novice/maiden company and her latest third at Uttoxeter suggests that an opening mark of 99 should be workable. Coco Brave also remains unexposed and is next best.
FEET ON THE GROUND has been shaping up well in her qualifying runs and can make a successful handicap debut for the Fergal O'Brien stable. Sweet Caryline has made a positive start to her handicap career and is an obvious threat.
This small field for her handicap debut may offer the right opportunity for FEET ON THE GROUND, who's improved over 2m on soft ground.

![]() Saladins Son |
(2) 4/5(+0%) | (2) Saladins Son 4/5, Successful in a maiden hurdle (25f, soft) on return/stable debut in November and quickly dispelled his chase debut non-completion when running out a good winner of a C&D handicap 11 days ago, making most and just kept up to his work late on. Appeals as a young stayer to keep on side. 6l C&D win (soft; made most) 11 days ago in his second chase; up 5lb but clear potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Caeruleum |
(4) 7/2(+13%) | (4) Caeruleum 7/2, Much improved when opening his account over further here in December and made light of an 8 lb rise when readily following up at Taunton (26.2f) later that month. Latest weight rise seemed enough to anchor him when sixth at Bangor (29.6f) 19 days ago but not ruled out back down in trip. Sharp improvement over about 3m2f was followed by a disappointing show over 3m6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() No Hubs No Hoobs |
(1) 4/1(+0%) | (1) No Hubs No Hoobs 4/1, Ended last season with a hat-trick of staying handicap chase wins (twice over C&D) in the mud. Mark rose considerably as a result and failed to come on for his reappearance when pulled up in the Welsh National in December. This rates more suitable at least. Not totally disgraced on reappearance but found the Welsh National (14-1) much too tough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Enjoy Your Life |
(3) 7/1(+0%) | (3) Enjoy Your Life 7/1, Won a pair of handicap chases around 3m last winter and reappeared from 8 months off with an encouraging second at Chepstow (19.5f) in November. Ran poorly when pulled up at Exeter next time though, and he was well held despite finishing third behind Saladins Son over C&D 11 days ago. Below form on last two outings, 7l adrift of Saladins Son over C&D on latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SALADINS SON appeared to have plenty in hand when winning over C&D 11 days ago and the seven-year-old is hard to oppose off just a 5lb higher mark. Caeruleum failed to fire when a beaten favourite at Bangor last time but is a player based on his two previous victories. No Hubs No Hoobs has struggled in much stronger races so far this season but could bounce back with his sights lowered.
SALADINS SON looked a young stayer to keep on side when opening his chase account in good style over C&D 11 days ago and, in the hope this doesn't come too soon, he's expected to make a bold bid to follow up from a 5 lb higher mark. Caeruleum is narrowly preferred to No Hubs No Hoobs for the forecast.
Having dominated a C&D handicap on soft 11 days ago in just his second chase, SALADINS SON (nap) is surely open to further improvement.

![]() Gentleman Jacques |
(3) 5/2(+0%) | (3) Gentleman Jacques 5/2, Made a low-key start for current connections but back in a better heart equipped with a visor/tongue tie, building on his Exeter second when a facile winner of 15-runner handicap here (19.8f, heavy) 4 weeks ago. In the mix again back up in trip. 12l win from the front here (2m4f, heavy) saw him off the mark at 14th go over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Almuhit |
(9) 10/3(+0%) | (9) Almuhit 10/3, Had wind surgery prior to shedding maiden tag over hurdles in 11-runner novices' handicap at Southwell (20.4f) 9 days ago, keeping on well. Looks a live player with a repeat under a penalty. Has often looked tricky customer but had wind surgery before recent hurdles breakthrough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Klic Boum |
(7) 9/2(+0%) | (7) Klic Boum 9/2, Caught the eye in maiden/novice hurdles and similar story in handicaps, noted finishing with running left when third in 10-runner contest at Hereford (19.7f) 2 weeks ago. Further increase in trip looks firmly in his favour here and he's one to be interested in. Best form on last three starts, including on heavy; some improvement is needed, though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() The Blueberry One |
(6) 6/1(+0%) | (6) The Blueberry One 6/1, Promise on second of 3 starts in novice company and much improved after 10 months off when second of 11 on handicap debut at Ffos Las (20f, heavy) 46 days ago, well suited by the increase in trip. In good hands and he's one to consider now stamina is tested further. Handicap debut when second of 11 at Ffos Las (2m4f, soft) last time; type to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cast's Tasha |
(4) 13/2(+59%) | (4) Cast's Tasha 13/2, Smooth traveller who returned better than ever when scoring at Ffos Las (21.9f, heavy) in November. Shaped better than distance beaten suggests when fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Lingfield (19.5f) 26 days ago and another entitled to respect. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Did well in the mud before a lesser show at Lingfield; cheekpieces go on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mohawk Chief |
(2) 7/1(+13%) | (2) Mohawk Chief 7/1, Fair 7f winner on Flat for Aidan O'Brien and similar form on 2 of his 3 starts in maiden hurdles for present stable, albeit making hard work of things when third on qualifying run at Fakenham (20f) 38 days ago. Further increase in trip can help now handicapping with cheekpieces reached for. Rallied to make up late ground last twice; first-time cheekpieces on this handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Shan't Wait |
(8) 14/1(0%) | (8) Shan't Wait 14/1, Has hinted at promise all 3 starts at around 2m over hurdles, fourth of 13 in novice hurdle (150/1) at Newbury (16.3f, good to soft) 42 days ago. Rates the type to benefit from this step up in trip now handicapping and yard amongst the winners. Best form last time at 150-1; no shock if this longer trip suits on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() D'jo Dela Barriere |
(1) 22/1(+12%) | (1) D'jo Dela Barriere 22/1, Got off the mark in novice hurdle at Hereford (16.2f) in November. Failed to take to chasing but stepped up on recent run returned to this sphere when fourth in 8-runner handicap hurdle at Ludlow (21.2f) 7 days ago. Not dismissed with a repeat. Yard also saddle Klic Boum. Good, never-nearer 4th of eight at Ludlow (2m5f) last Wednesday; more to prove in the mud. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Iris Des Issards |
(5) 25/1(+24%) | (5) Iris Des Issards 25/1, Ex-pointer who is yet to taste success under Rules but again made the frame when fourth at Exeter (21.6f) in December. In trouble some way out when well-beaten tenth in handicap at this course (19.8f) 6 weeks ago and he needs to bounce back. Minor honours in three handicaps (2m3f, 2m and extended 2m5f) before a modest show here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
GENTLEMAN JACQUES made every yard of the running to score in ready fashion over 2m4f here last month and was given an 11lb rise for that success. Emma Lavelle's team are in good form at present and it would be no surprise to see him complete the double, with Cameron Johnstone-Baker taking a valuable 10lb off his back. The Blueberry One was only beaten two lengths into second on his handicap debut at Ffos Las last month and is likely to be thereabouts again, while Klic Boum looks the pick of the remainder.
KLIC BOUM not for the first time caught the eye when third at Hereford (19.7f) 2 weeks ago and he could be worth siding with given he remains the type to do better still upped in trip. This is competitive though, with last-time-out winners Almuhit and Gentleman Jacques heading the dangers. The Blueberry One isn't dismissed lightly either.
Interest almost throughout. Gentleman Jacques and Almuhit impressed last time but THE BLUEBERRY ONE looks promising.

![]() Joe Cotton |
(1) 15/8(+0%) | (1) Joe Cotton 15/8, Unreliable type but he posted a good second of 11 in handicap chase (7/1) at Lingfield (20f, soft) 26 days ago. Needs to back it up. Runner-up in four chase runs since October; latest conqueror was well treated; big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Smart Casual |
(3) 2/1(+0%) | (3) Smart Casual 2/1, In good form without winning until a well-held third of 6 in handicap chase at Plumpton (17f, soft) 30 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for first time and he's the sort to bounce back off a handy-looking mark. Expensive to follow over hurdles/fences but still a strong contender tried in cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Rangatira Jack |
(2) 9/2(+0%) | (2) Rangatira Jack 9/2, Maiden hurdler/chaser who recorded his best effort in this sphere when fourth of 5 in handicap chase (7/1) at Exeter (19.2f, heavy) 56 days ago. Needs to build on it. 11-race maiden but he's shown some promise and conditions should be fine; place claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() I Love You Sivola |
(5) 7/1(-17%) | (5) I Love You Sivola 7/1, It's now 20 runs since his last win in 2022 and he was pulled up in handicap chase at Exeter (17.5f, heavy) 44 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Just one win from 36 starts; able to race off his proper mark today but others look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ceejaybe |
(4) 7/1(+0%) | (4) Ceejaybe 7/1, Not disgraced after 6 months off when fourth of 9 in handicap chase at Leicester (20.1f, soft, 28/1) on debut over fences 87 days ago. Has since had a wind op so needs considering in his bid for a maiden victory. 14-race maiden; bits of promise but a third wind op needs to have a positive effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bellamy's Grey |
(6) 40/1(+20%) | (6) Bellamy's Grey 40/1, Unreliable type who was pulled up in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (23.6f, heavy) 17 days ago. Switches back to fences with work to do. Veteran with a poor strike-rate; conditions fine but two recent runs were uninspiring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fox Wallace |
(7) 66/1(-32%) | (7) Fox Wallace 66/1, No sign of ability to date and she's very hard to warm to from 9 lb out of the handicap. Poor form in her completed runs under rules; 9lb out of the weights; hard to fancy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
JOE COTTON has filled the runner-up spot on each of his last four starts, most recently in heavy conditions at Lingfield. With Chad Bament claiming a handy 7lb this time around, he may prove tough to beat. Smart Casual failed to justify favouritism when only third over 2m1f at Plumpton last time but this step up in trip could unlock some improvement. Rangatira Jack takes a drop in grade and is another to watch out for.
SMART CASUAL saw his run of good form come to an end when third at Plumpton last time but he's worth another chance to confirm himself well handicapped with cheekpieces now added. Ceejaybe could emerge as the chief threat on the back of breathing surgery ahead of Rangatira Jack and Joe Cotton.
Neither Smart Casual nor JOE COTTON have been punter friendly over fences but they look the pair with the strongest claims.

![]() Yccs Portocervo |
(4) 7/4(+7%) | (4) Yccs Portocervo 7/4, Useful chaser who scored at Newton Abbot and Market Rasen in the summer. Off since coming in fourteenth in Summer Plate at Market Rasen 7 months ago but has won off a break and a big player in these calmer waters. Hat-trick before heavy defeat in valuable handicap in July; fine chance on best 2024 form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Go Sacre Go |
(6) 5/2(+9%) | (6) Go Sacre Go 5/2, A fair maiden hurdler for Nicky Henderson. Point winner but off almost 2 years before an excellent second of 6 in hunter chase here (25.1f, heavy, 40/1) on his debut over fences 27 days ago. In the mix. Second of six at 40-1 in hunter chase here (3m1f, heavy) was up with his best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Solomon Grey |
(8) 4/1(+0%) | (8) Solomon Grey 4/1, Back-to-back hunter winner in April 2022 but hasn't tasted success since and this 13-y-o is opposable after 9 months off the track. No win since April 2022 and he's slipped down the pecking order. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fix At All |
(1) 8/1(+0%) | (1) Fix At All 8/1, Landed a hunter chase at Hereford last May but below par since for Neil Mulholland and pulled up back hurdling at Worcester in September. Needs to hit the ground running for his new handler. Unproven on soft/heavy in Britain; big player if judged on best efforts; left N Mulholland. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Upton Road |
(9) 12/1(+0%) | (9) Upton Road 12/1, Point winner off nearly 2 years and running below form when falling 3 out in hunter chase here (25.1f, heavy) 27 days ago. Could build on that but more is required. Brighter prospects over this trip; still has work to do but he is very lightly raced. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() One True King |
(2) 12/1(+14%) | (2) One True King 12/1, Fairly useful hurdler/chaser for Nigel Twiston-Davies. Arrives largely in decent nick from the pointing field so one to consider. Pretty useful for N Twiston-Davies; placed in two points in December before a heavy defeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Windance |
(3) 25/1(+0%) | (3) Windance 25/1, Course winner for Anthony Honeyball but pulled up in a point before falling 6th in hunter chase at Taunton (23f, good to soft) 8 days ago. Needs to get back on track. Unseated when about to complete hat-trick (3m1f-3m2f); backward steps since are a worry. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() King Orry |
(7) 25/1(+11%) | (7) King Orry 25/1, Maiden chaser who wasn't disgraced for his new yard when fourth of 6 in hunter chase here (25.1f, heavy) 27 days ago. Needs to build on it. 41l behind Go Sacre Go here (28-1) four weeks ago; an outsider on all other form as well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Funky Sensation |
(5) 100/1(+0%) | (5) Funky Sensation 100/1, Modest hurdler/chaser. 33/1, creditable fourth of 8 in hunter chase at Cheltenham (16.3f, heavy) 9 months. Since been pointing and pulled up on his last three runs. Has it to prove. Mostly modest form under rules and pulled up this winter in his last three points. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Although he was unable to dictate the pace when weakening into 14th in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen last July, YCCS PORTOCERVO holds outstanding claims reverting to a hunter chase. The veteran arrives here with a justified rating of 133 and he's likely to take all the beating if returning near his best. Fix At All finished a couple of places ahead of the selection at Market Rasen and he's feared most, ahead of Go Sacre Go, who boasts a recent run.
YCCS PORTOCERVO saw his successful run come to an end in Market Rasen's Summer Plate but Dr Richard Newland's useful chaser goes well fresh and is fancied to quickly resume winning ways in this less exacting company. Go Sacre Go appeals as the one to chase him home on the back of his excellent recent second here, with One True King and Windance in the mix for minor honours.
Three wins last April-June suggest that YCCS PORTOCERVO is very much the one to beat. Go Sacre Go looks the chief danger.

![]() Arfursgal |
(3) 11/10(+0%) | (3) Arfursgal 11/10, Comes from a Flat family but is by a jumps sire and made a promising start tongue tied when second in Newbury bumper in December. Entitled to improve and obvious claims. Outstayed when 2nd of eight at Newbury ten weeks ago; can do better & holds strong claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ace Artist |
(1) 5/2(+0%) | (1) Ace Artist 5/2, Jack Hobbs filly. Half-sister to dual bumper winners Urban Artist and Our Jester out of a bumper winner, also 1¼m-1½m winner who stayed 1¾m on Flat. Ticks plenty of boxes on paper. Half-sister to two useful bumper winners out of a smart mare; lots to like on breeding. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() And She Was |
(2) 11/4(+0%) | (2) And She Was 11/4, Linda's Lad filly. Half-sister to numerous winners, including useful hurdler/smart chaser Warriors Tale and bumper winner/fairly useful 21f hurdle winner Samarquand. Makes lots of appeal. Half-sister to six winners out of a French Flat winner; more appealing than many. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Royale Blue |
(6) 25/1(+0%) | (6) Royale Blue 25/1, Jack Hobbs filly. Dam 2½m hurdle/chase winner. Bred to have a future but the stable is just 1-44 in bumpers in the last 5 seasons. First foal of useful 2m4f hurdle/chase winner; missed a run last week on account of heavy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Lady Dapple Rose |
(4) 33/1(+0%) | (4) Lady Dapple Rose 33/1, €8,000 3-y-o, Kingston Hill filly. Half-sister to once-raced bumper winner Meadowsweet. Half-sister to bumper winner Meadowsweet; dam a 2m hurdle winner; yard 0-21 in bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Opale De Maine |
(5) 33/1(+18%) | (5) Opale De Maine 33/1, No Risk At All filly from the family of fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser in France (stayed 23f) Polidam. 11/1, folded tamely when well held in C&D bumper on debut 83 days ago. Beaten 33l when last of ten over C&D in December; not easily recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ARFURSGAL offered plenty of encouragement when finishing runner-up on her debut over an extended 2m at Newbury in December. Anthony Honeyball's filly travelled with verve before faltering late on and this ease in trip could prove fruitful. Newcomer And She Was, a half-sister to the smart Warriors Tale, is a potential fly in the ointment and any market support for her must be noted. Fellow debutant Ace Artist possesses enough speed in her pedigree to suggest that she could play a leading role too.
ACE ARTIST makes plenty of appeal on paper and is selected to make a successful return at the expense of fellow newcomer And She Was and Newbury second Arfursgal.
Ace Artist is bred to have a bright future but ARFURSGAL has an experience edge and can go one better than on her Newbury debut.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
