13/8(+68%) | (1) Champagne Mahler 13/8, Has offered something to work on both completed starts over hurdles and remains with some potential. Looked in need of further when a moderate fifth at Limerick, could go well in a weak race. |

Worth another chance with that under his belt. Prominent run until weakening from the last on Irish debut at Tramore, improvement likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

200/1(-100%) | (10) Doyen Flyer 200/1, Of little account in bumpers so easily passed over on hurdle debut. Had one moderate run for Willie Mullins and has shown nothing so far for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

15/2(-275%) | (8) Three In A Row 15/2, Showed more than previously when sixth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Galway (16.4f, heavy) 20 days ago, not knocked about. Likely to improve further. Open to improvement and may be good enough to feature in a race of this standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (5/1 +23%) Half Off Six Pence |
5/1(+23%) | (11) Half Off Six Pence 5/1, Thrice-raced maiden who took a step forward when fifth of 14 in maiden hurdle at Tramore (20.3f, heavy) 36 days ago. Down in trip. Player. Some ability evident in each of her three maiden hurdle runs, needs to find a bit extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

22/1(+0%) | (12) Mystic Sage 22/1, Little impact in a trio of maiden hurdles, including in a first-time tongue strap last time. Well-related mare, has struggled in three outings, Rachael Blackmore aboard stablemate. |

22/1(+0%) | (3) Due Course 22/1, Mid-division at best in maiden hurdles. Tongue strap on for 1st time and improvement required. Two Ballinrobe runs in August were respectable, no encouragement from Listowel display. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (80/1 -142%) Coppercoast Paudie |
80/1(-142%) | (2) Coppercoast Paudie 80/1, Poor maiden over hurdles who faces a stiff task on these terms. Low-rated gelding, has run 17 times without reaching the first four, getting on in years. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (20/1 +39%) Make No Plans |
20/1(+39%) | (7) Make No Plans 20/1, Little show in maiden/handicap hurdles. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Modest form in maidens, pulled up at Gowran when making his handicap debut, up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (22/1 +0%) Aghmorough Bridge |
22/1(+0%) | (9) Aghmorough Bridge 22/1, Well held sole outing in bumpers and let down by jumping in a pair of hunter chases. Experience mare, three wins in points, 2m may be a bit sharp for her but respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
CHAMPAGNE MAHLER looks the one to beat in a race for horses who have not finished in the first three under Rules. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding was reappearing after a summer break when fifth behind Answer To Kayf over this trip at Limerick and the third gave the form some substance when running well at Gowran last Saturday. It's best to put a line through his previous run when pulled up early after being badly hampered. Ivar The Boneless was a close up fourth in a chase on his penultimate start in France and was absent for nearly two years before reappearing for current connections at Tramore, while Three In A Row shaped reasonably well in the context of this race when sixth to Waterford Whispers, also owned by JP McManus, in a Galway maiden last month. Aghmorough Bridge has won three times in points while Half Off Six Pence was far from disgraced at Tramore last time.
IVAR THE BONELESS failed to meet expectations back from nearly 2 years off on his Irish debut at Tramore last month, but is well worth another chance with that outing under his belt in a decidedly ordinary affair. Half Off Six Pence took a step forward on her most recent outing and is a player back down in trip, while there's a strong chance Three In Row has more to offer still.
The trip could be on the short side but it may be worth taking a chance with AGHMOROUGH BRIDGE, an experienced three-time points winner

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/2 +25%) Iceberg Theory |
5/2(+25%) | (4) Iceberg Theory 5/2, Promising sort. Third of 14 in novice hurdle at Cork (20.4f, good to soft, 12/1) on hurdles bow 33 days ago. Strong claims. Needs to jump more fluently than at Cork but has winning potential at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (11/1 -38%) Cobra Queen |
11/1(-38%) | (11) Cobra Queen 11/1, €26,000 3-y-o, £75,000 4-y-o, Milan filly. Half-sister to modest hurdler Ange Endormi. Dam winning pointer, half-sister to useful chaser (stayed 23f) Conrad Hastings. Successful on second of 2 starts in points in the spring and joined a leading yard. Notable Rules newcomer. Point winner, now the yard's only runner with the well-regarded Mossy Fen Park a defector. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (66/1 -32%) Balally Park |
66/1(-32%) | (2) Balally Park 66/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. Tenth of 18 in novice hurdle at Cork (16f, soft, 50/1) 12 days ago. Up in trip. Weakening when unseating at the last at Listowel, down the field at Cork 12 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

8/1(-14%) | (5) Jack Du Large 8/1, €95,000 3-y-o, Kapgarde gelding. Half-brother to fair French hurdler/chaser Goldchop. Interesting newcomer from top stable. Dam is a half-sister to talented hurdler/chaser Gwanako, stable in terrific form. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (150/1 -127%) A La Carte |
150/1(-127%) | (10) A La Carte 150/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 150/1, twelfth of 15 in novice hurdle at Gowran (16f, heavy) 6 days ago. Up in trip. Has shown next to nothing in four races, early days but impossible to make a case for her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (6/5 +4%) Intense Approach |
6/5(+4%) | (1) Intense Approach 6/5, Dual winner in bumpers who makes plenty of appeal switched to hurdling up in trip. Expensive purchase after point win, two bumper wins have underlined his potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (250/1 -25%) Grizzley Adams |
250/1(-25%) | (3) Grizzley Adams 250/1, Once-raced maiden. 80/1, eleventh of 13 in novice hurdle at Sligo (20f, soft) on NH debut 21 days ago. Big price when finishing towards the rear on debut at Sligo, did not look an easy ride. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (25/1 -39%) Tramps Like Us |
25/1(-39%) | (9) Tramps Like Us 25/1, Promising individual. 25/1, third of 17 in novice hurdle at Limerick (21f, heavy) on hurdles bow 27 days ago. Should improve. Stayed on from off the pace in a 2m5f maiden hurdle at Limerick, this is a stronger race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (200/1 -150%) Tuscaloosa Anna |
200/1(-150%) | (13) Tuscaloosa Anna 200/1, Parish Hall filly. Dam, little show in bumper/over hurdles, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stays 3m) Bennys King. Dam half-sister to smart 2m3f-3m hurdle/chase winner Bennys King. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
INTENSE APPROACH won on his only point-to-point start this spring and has done well since in bumpers scoring twice. The John McConnell-trained gelding looks a nice recruit to hurdles having readily won at Bellewstown and followed up at the Listowel Festival. Henry de Bromhead is represented by Cobra Queen, who won on her second start between the flags and she commands a fair amount of respect. Iceberg Theory made a pleasing start over hurdles when third to Black Bamboo over this trip at Cork last month, while Tramps Like Us, Sportinthepark and Balally Park are others to consider.
MOSSEY FEN PARK was an impressive winner of a point and has picked up for a good fee by top connections, so he's fancied to make a winning Rules debut at the likely expense of Intense Approach, who was well above average in bumpers. Iceberg Theory also makes plenty of appeal in what could prove to be a strong race.
Preference is for dual bumper winner INTENSE APPROACH who showed a good attitude to beat a Willie Mullins-trained favourite at Listowel

1st (2) (12/1 +14%) Double Pink |
12/1(+14%) | (2) Double Pink 12/1, Fair hurdler. Winner in hurdle at Tramore in April. 16/1, very good second of 12 in handicap hurdle at Tipperary (16.2f, soft) 47 days ago. Up in trip. Bit to find on these terms. Good effort in a handicap last time but she is not suited by the race conditions here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (28/1 -40%) Good As Hell |
28/1(-40%) | (3) Good As Hell 28/1, Fairly useful chaser. C&D winner. 3 wins from 10 runs this season. 28/1, last of 10 in handicap chase at Cork (17.6f, good to soft) 33 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Much-improved mare over fences, needs to surpass her 106 hurdles mark considerably. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/3 -21%) Belle The Lioness |
10/3(-21%) | (1) Belle The Lioness 10/3, Lightly-raced winner under NH rules. 40/1, 39½ lengths nineteenth of 21 to You Wear It Well in Dawn Run Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham (16.8f, soft). Off 8 months. Tongue strap on 1st time. Should go well in these calmer waters. Second in a mares' Listed event last season, rated 11lb inferior to Whatcoudlhavebeen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (9/4 +18%) Whatcouldhavebeen |
9/4(+18%) | (5) Whatcouldhavebeen 9/4, Fairly useful hurdler. 4/1, bit below form tenth of 20 in handicap at the Curragh (14f, heavy) 17 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Respected back hurdling. Sets a high standard by virtue of second in a mares' Grade 1 novice event, fit from Flat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (5/4 -25%) Mollys Mango |
5/4(-25%) | (4) Mollys Mango 5/4, Bumper winner who made a successful start to her hurdle career in 15-runner 2m maiden at Thurles 15 days ago. Did that easily and there's more to come now stepping up in trip. Bumper winner, jumped well and won readily on recent hurdling debut at Thurles. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WHATCOULDHAVEBEEN won a 20-runner Fairyhouse maiden back in January and subsequently kept very good company including when second to Ashroe Diamond in a Grade 1 at the same venue. Jarlath Fahey's charge should be nearing peak fitness following a couple of recent outings on the Flat. Belle The Lioness is Listed placed over hurdles and also won a maiden last winter, while Mollys Mango is another for the shortlist after comfortably landing the odds at Thurles earlier this month. Good As Hell has gained all bar one of her five wins over fences, while Tramore maiden winner Double Pink made a bold bid to make all on her reappearance at Tipperary last month.
MOLLYS MANGO won in the style of a useful novice at Thurles and can follow up with the step up to 2½m promising to suit. The reappearing Belle The Lioness should find this a bit easier than the mares' novice at the Cheltenham Festival and is second choice ahead of Whatcouldhavebeen.
Given that her fitness is not in doubt after two Flat runs WHATCOULDHAVEBEEN (nap) should be able to exploit this opportunity

1st (4) (4/1 +27%) Minella Crooner |
4/1(+27%) | (4) Minella Crooner 4/1, Useful hurdler. Pulled up in National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham (29.9f, good to soft, 13/2) when last seen in March. Could pick up some place money here if on-song. Beat subsequent Irish Grand National winner I Am Maximus last December, off since March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (7/2 +50%) Joyeux Machin |
7/2(+50%) | (5) Joyeux Machin 7/2, Useful hurdler. 2 wins from 4 runs this season. Career best when winning 6-runner novice chase at this course (19.6f, soft, 7/2) 77 days ago. Dual course winner but faces a tough task against more established rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (25/1 +50%) Time To Rocco |
25/1(+50%) | (6) Time To Rocco 25/1, Fairly useful chaser. Eighth of 12 in handicap hurdle (7/2) at Cork (16f, soft) 12 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. Significantly back up in trip. Held by Joyeux Machin on running here in September, moderate run over hurdles on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (8/15 +36%) Bronn |
8/15(+36%) | (2) Bronn 8/15, Very smart chaser. 7/2, creditable 10¾ lengths third of 6 to Gerri Colombe in Mildmay Novices' Chase at Aintree (25f, good to soft). Off 7 months. The one to beat. Novice chase form linked to the top-class Gerri Colombe, gets 5lb from Churchstonewarrior. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BRONN and Churchstonewarrior were closely matched over hurdles when fighting out the finish of a 2m4f Grade 2 novice at Fairyhouse and both progressed well over fences last season. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding gave odds-on backers a fright before making most to score over 2m5f again at Fairyhouse and was subsequently third in Grade 1 events at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festival meetings. He receives a valuable 5lb from Churchstonewarrior, who has not been seen since gaining a deserved win in a Navan Grade 2 over three miles in February. The lightly-raced Idas Boy is another talented chaser but may need this after a year's absence, while Minella Crooner also stays well and can boast a victory over I Am Maximus at Fairyhouse last term.
If he resumes at the top of his game, BRONN will be hard to beat. He quickly made up into a very smart novice last season, finishing third in Grade 1s at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals during the spring, and this 6-y-o well have more to offer in this sphere. It's best to overlook Idas Boy's run at Punchestown when last seen 12 months ago and he will be a threat if fully tuned-up. Churchstonewarrior has done little wrong since switched to fences and he merits respect, too.
His links to the form of the top-class Gerri Colombe underline the chance held by BRONN in a likely duel with Churchstonewarrior

15/2(+0%) | (11) Mighty Mo Missouri 15/2, Fairly useful hurdler. 33/1, creditable ninth of 19 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (23f, good) 38 days ago. Makes chase debut. Significantly back down in trip. Kilbeggan maiden hurdle winner in August, well beaten in a handicaps on last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (17/2 -70%) Malton Groove |
17/2(-70%) | (4) Malton Groove 17/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 6/1, running creditably when fell 2 out in novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (20.4f, soft). Off 9 months. Makes chase debut. Down in trip. Stable in good form. Considered. One good run over hurdles, doubts raised by failure to complete in two subsequent races. |

66/1(-164%) | (10) Strange Notions 66/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time in this code, ninth of 19 in handicap at Navan (13f, soft, 20/1). Off 6 months. Makes chase debut. Winning hurdler, had a run on the Flat in May, latecomer to chasing, make little appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (8/1 -78%) Charming Fortune |
8/1(-78%) | (2) Charming Fortune 8/1, 1 win from 3 runs this season. Fair winner at 20f over hurdles. Won 13-runner novice hurdle at Sligo (20f, soft, 9/2) 21 days ago, pushed out. Makes chase debut. In the mix. Won a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Sligo three weeks ago, finished second in a point-to-point. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HENN SEE gets a tentative vote. The French import made a winning start for the champion trainer in a Limerick maiden hurdle nearly two years ago, but his jumping gave cause for concern on both outings since over fences last winter. He led when falling at the penultimate fence over this trip at Clonmel and his jumping deteriorated in the closing stages last time at Fairyhouse. Hopefully his technique has improved in the interim. Gavin Cromwell saddles an interesting trio including recent Sligo maiden hurdle winner Charming Fortune and The King Of Prs, who won a Listowel handicap hurdle last time. Neveradullmoment won a handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival and made an encouraging start over fences at the same venue.
Willie Mullins' HENN SEE holds the edge on form and is fancied to make a winning return for his in-form yard at the chief expense of fencing-newcomer Malton Groove. Charming Fortune is another having his first go over fences who needs a second look.
The Mullins camp has had plenty of time to work on the jumping issues that HENN SEE suffered from last season. He gets a hopeful vote

9/2(+18%) | (1) Jeriko De Baune 9/2, 10/1, good fifth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Galway (24f, heavy) 20 days ago. Looks competitive on form eased 1 lb in search of his first success. Drop back in trip could suit and likely 4yo has more scope for improvement than most. |

BANADA BRIDGE appears to have found a good opportunity to open her account. The selection twice filled the runner-up spot over this distance last season including behind Gaoth Chuil at Leopardstown in March and that form received a timely boost at Naas last Sunday. The six-year-old mare has been consistent over shorter trips in recent months and is preferred to Mythical Times, who indicated a modest handicap could be within his compass when fifth to Getabelle (won again since) over a similar trip at Cork last month. Top-weight Jeriko De Baune was also far from disgraced over three miles at Galway last time, while Collo Meo boasts the best piece of form on his second to the odds-on Castle Town House in an 18-runner Limerick maiden, but was off the course for well over two years before soundly beaten at the same venue last month.
JERIKO DE BAUNE can race off a 1 lb lower mark than when a good recent Galway fifth so gets the vote in an open handicap. Banada Bridge is weighted to have a big say so rates next best ahead of the lightly-raced Mythical Times.
Modest fare in which it could pay to side with top-weight JERIKO DE BAUNE, who should appreciate this drop in trip and is less expos

BROWNSTONE moved yards from Mick Winters this autumn and opened his account on soft ground at Fairyhouse last month. The Yeats gelding, who was previously placed on testing ground over this trip at Perth, again shaped well at Thurles last time and connections believe he could be better suited by going left-handed. We'llgowats won over this distance at Cork last year and struck again on her penultimate start in deep ground at Gowran, while the lightly-raced Kiln Time has been tried over a variety of trips and beat all bar Duffys Getaway on his handicap debut over three miles at Fairyhouse last week. Tastyee and Huit Reflets are others to consider.
BROWNSTONE looks the way to go on the back of his good Thurles fourth with this return to a longer trip also a likely plus. Kiln Time is next on the list on the back of his good Fairyhouse second, with Tastyee another who need considering now going into handicaps.
KILN TIME showed plenty on his return at Fairyhouse recently and could take the beating here even though he ideally
