13:10 Wexford Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KAZAKH D'ARTHEL was only beaten half a length into second on his debut at Listowel which makes him a leading candidate. He missed a subsequent engagement at Limerick as he bolted on the way to the start, so a hood is deployed to enable him to settle. The returning Balko D'ange is dangerous. He finished runner-up over hurdles on debut at Navan and was then fourth in a Listed bumper at Limerick. He has been off since finishing unplaced at the Punchestown Festival. Mount Mandela just failed to land a gamble in second at Tramore, while there is surely more to come from Love Me. Miss Maxfort is another that cannot be ruled out of contention.

French import KAZAKH D'ARTHEL made a promising start over hurdles when going close at Listowel and, with improvement on the cards, he is taken to go one better here. Balko d'Ange has failed to reproduce the form of his hurdles debut second at Navan in a couple of bumpers since but will be a big threat if able to get back on track returned to this sphere, Lightup Lightup has improved with each of his three starts in bumpers and makes each-way appeal, along with Mount Mandela.

A hood should help KAZAKH D'ARTHEL, who bolted to post last time, and there was little wrong with his hurdling debut second at Listowel

13:40 Wexford Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TONAGHNEAVE WELL had to overcome some adversity at Gowran Park and he showed his resolution when getting up to win by a short head. Grann's Boy actually beat Tonaghneave Well into second in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan in July. He has been racing on the Flat since then, but has to be respected on this return to hurdling. Ol Man Dingle has to give weight away in a tight race, but the way he shed his maiden status at Clonmel gives him prospects. A big run from Kazakh D'arthel in the first race would bode well for Kingdom Calling who beat him at Listowel when sent off a whopping 250/1.

GRANN'S BOY pulled well clear of the rest with subsequent winner Tonaghneave Well (renews rivalry on 6 lb worse terms here) at Kilbeggan in July and while he hasn't troubled the judged on the Flat since, it would be no surprise to see this 4-y-o get back on track returned to this sphere. Vaureal's stamina was seemingly stretched upped to 3m in Roscommon handicap and he is open to improvement now back down in trip. The unexposed Has Me Dreaming and progressive Ol Man Dingle also merit respect.

Cian Collins is a trainer on the rise and can strike here with HAS ME DREAMING who might ideally prefer further but is given the nod

14:10 Wexford Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BALTINGLASS HILL didn't run badly at all in fourth in a much higher grade at Kilbeggan last month. Prior to that, he was a solid second over a similar trip at this track. Thisistheway won a bumper at Wexford last year and was last seen winning her first race over flights at Cork just over a fortnight ago. She is a contender on her handicap debut. Verbal Sparring has been largely consistent this year and ought to be in the mix. Realtin Lonrach showed marked improvement when third at this track in May and could build upon that if fully wound up on her reappearance.

It could be worth siding with ABOY JOEY, who looked in need of the run back from a four-month break at Listowel and he merits serious respect on account of his improved efforts in April when going close in his firts two starts switched to handicap company. Verbal Sparring lost little caste in defeat when third at Sligo on his latest start in August and he is second choice ahead of Inchiquin Star and Dream Once More.

Hard enough to pick one but VERBAL SPARRING came back from a similar break to win at Sligo in June and was a fair third there in August

14:45 Wexford Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DEPALMA might be the answer in a weak race. Colm Murphy's charge has finished fourth on her last couple of races at Kilbeggan and Galway which reads well in the context of this race. She wasn't beaten overly far at Kilbeggan and faced a tough task at Ballybrit. Stoneyford Lady is the horse that could be the big improver. She is a well-bred filly who is half-sister to a Grade 1 Queen Mother Champion Chase winner. She disappointed on her last couple of runs and has been off since May, but is in good hands. One Big Boum has put together a sequence of fourth places and his mark of 107 sets the standard.

With the promise of better to come from DEPALMA, he may well find the necessary improvement to get the better of One Big Boum and Stoneyford Lady in this maiden. Colm Murphy's charge wasn't knocked about on his recent spin following a break at Galway and is entitled to come on for that.

Fitter for his fair run in a Galway handicap, DEPALMA (nap) can take this ordinary contest; One Big Boum has the rating to go close

15:20 Wexford Conditions Chase 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CORBETTS CROSS is a talented stayer who showed that he belonged at the highest level last season. It is hard to forget how he routed the field by 17 lengths in the Grade 2 National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. He then signed off with a creditable third in a Grade 1 at Aintree. Heart Wood is another horse coming off a big campaign and he is certainly weighted to make a race of it with Corbetts Cross. Favori De Champdou has a bit to find but was last seen winning a Grade 3 at Limerick in April, while Buddy One is race fit after a decisive victory on chasing debut at Galway.

CORBETTS CROSS made up into a high-class chaser last term and can return in style here before tackling much stronger company once more. Henry de Bromhead's Heart Wood has the form to have a say and rates the chief threat ahead of Buddy One and Favori de Champdou.

A possible match, with CORBETTS CROSS taken to concede weight to Heart Wood.

15:55 Wexford Maiden Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

INTHEPOCKET should have a bright future over fences. He is a former Grade 1 winner over hurdles who found a classy sort just too good for him on his chasing debut at Navan last year. He's been absent with a muscular issue, but he remains of considerable interest over fences. Farren Glory also won at Grade 1 level over flights and is a fascinating contender as he tackles racecourse fences for the first time on his return to action. Champagne Mahler was a never nearer third on chasing bow at Tipperary in April and that form has been franked, while Anyway showed up well in second at Galway and will be eyeing prize money.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and Henry de Bromhead's highly promising INTHEPOCKET is fancied to make light of his long absence and gain a first win over fences. Gordon Elliott's chasing newcomer Farren Glory also returns from a lengthy lay-off but could emerge as the main danger ahead of Anyway and Champagne Mahler.

A pair of Grade One-winning novice hurdlers in opposition, with INTHEPOCKET preferred to Farren Glory

16:30 Wexford NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

OLYMPY DE CERISY has the benefit of two runner-up efforts in bumpers. His last outing saw him run well for a long way in sixth in a maiden hurdle at Galway. Net Boy began with a fourth place at Navan and Barry Connell's Robin Du Nord gelding is highly likely to improve on this better ground with that experience under his belt. Patrick Mullins is an eye-catching booking for newcomer Hunsaker who is related to a host of winners, so Peter Fahey's charge is well worth a market check.

OLYMPY DE CERISY should be spot on for this after a run over hurdles last month and achieved enough when placed 3 times in bumpers last season to think he can win a race like this. Net Boy rates a danger after his promising debut effort at Navan in the spring, while a market move for well-bred newcomer Hunsaker would also bring him into the reckoning.

Both of the likely major players OLYMPIC DE CERISY and Net Boy probably want softer ground but the former gets the nod
