1st (8) ![]() Victoria Harbour |
22/1(-38%) | (8) Victoria Harbour 22/1, Third beaten 7l in a novice over 9f at Wolverhampton debut where very green; up in trip; hard to recommend 6-4 for novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) last month but went down by 7l in third of five. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) ![]() Quamby |
20/1(-67%) | (5) Quamby 20/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 3l in a novice over 8f at Kempton last time; up in trip; lot to find and likely one for handicaps Fifth of 12 at Kempton (1m, AW; 100-1) in October, shaping as if 1m2f will suit her well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Orionis |
7/2(+65%) | (4) Orionis 7/2, Beaten 4l in a maiden over 9f at Wolverhampton on debut; trainer in form; up in trip; well bred; more to come but needs it 12-1, never-dangerous sixth of 12 at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) in November but kept on well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Camzara |
5/1(-25%) | (2) Camzara 5/1, Had benefited for debut experience 2l third in a maiden over 8f at Newcastle most recent run; met trouble that day; up in trip; each way claims Two 1m maidens on Newcastle AW, improved when well-backed third of eight 17 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) ![]() Clermont Ferrand |
7/4(+0%) | (1) Clermont Ferrand 7/4, Runner-up beaten 1/2l in a novice at Yarmouth only start; that form franked in hot contest last week; tough to beat 50-1 at Yarmouth (1m2f, good) but bustled up the winner, Regal Agenda 5l back in fourth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Regal Agenda |
5/1(-25%) | (6) Regal Agenda 5/1, Well backed fourth beaten 5 1/2l in a novice at Yarmouth latest; consistent; threat though could probably do with some rain 2nd at Yarmouth (1m, soft) in October but Clermont Ferrand beat her 5l there (1m2f, good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) ![]() Lady Kameko |
13/2(-8%) | (3) Lady Kameko 13/2, Had benefited for debut experience fourth beaten 2l in a novice over 8f at Goodwood latest; that form franked at Group level; up in trip; not dismissed Others have better form but she's a late foal who should stay 1m2f+ and progress again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) ![]() Time For Dessert |
300/1(-200%) | (7) Time For Dessert 300/1, Slowly away comfortably held in a novice over 8f at Beverley last time; up in trip; all to do Always behind when big prices at Southwell (1m) in January and Beverley (8.4f) 11 days ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The four-year-old CLERMONT FERRAND outran odds of 50/1 when she was a good second to a smart prospect on her belated debut at Yarmouth earlier this month. The daughter of Kodiac had plenty in hand over the reopposing Regal Agenda (fourth) in that race and can cement her authority. Camzara could be the biggest danger now she steps up from a mile on just her third career start.
Regal Agenda's second last October is comparable form but CLERMONT FERRAND beat her by 5l over this trip three weeks ago.

1st (6) ![]() Bintabuha |
11/1(-57%) | (6) Bintabuha 11/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap over 11f at Southwell last time; should come on for the run; not proven trip; place claims if stamina holds up Placed at Newmarket on first two starts but has not fared so well in her three races since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) ![]() Rock Camelot |
4/1(+33%) | (8) Rock Camelot 4/1, Weak in the market beaten 4 1/2l in a novice over 12f at Southwell last time; usually consistent; each way claims off light weight on handicap debut Front-runner; handicap debut should offer much better prospects of the breakthrough win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Princess Niyla |
10/1(+55%) | (4) Princess Niyla 10/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a handicap over 12f at Newcastle last time; down in trip; form in and out; bit to find Competitive judged on plenty of 2024 evidence but needed first two runs in that campaign. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Beatrice Shilling |
9/2(+31%) | (2) Beatrice Shilling 9/2, Ideally suited by trip beaten 2l off 73 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; trainer in form; can get involved in open race 0-9; has threatened a win and she was second of five at Wolverhampton (AW) one month ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

25/1(-14%) | (5) Shifter 25/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at Doncaster most recent; usually held up; form going the wrong way Reappears on a good mark but she was well held first time out in the last two seasons. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) ![]() Coma Cluster |
11/4(-83%) | (9) Coma Cluster 11/4, Ran to form beaten 1/2l off 69 over 8f at Nottingham last time; should come on for the run; not proven trip; chance if stamina holds up Close second on handicap debut at Nottingham (1m, good); it looks like she will stay 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) ![]() Cymbidium |
5/1(+17%) | (7) Cymbidium 5/1, Ran to form beaten 1 1/2l off 73 over 8f at Pontefract last time; top course trainer; up in trip; generally consistent; contender 1m winner and there's plenty of hope for 1m2f; improvement is needed but possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) ![]() Anjo Bonita |
40/1(+0%) | (3) Anjo Bonita 40/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap at Redcar most recent; generally out of form; needs to prove ability remains after lay off Disappointing 2024; same owners but change of stable since she was last seen in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) ![]() Questionable |
8/1(-23%) | (1) Questionable 8/1, Ran to form 4 1/2l third in a handicap at Leicester most recent run; significant jockey booking; on the premises All turf runs on good or softer; reached the frame in all her seven handicaps, winning one. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Coma Cluster is highly notable after finishing a close second on her handicap debut at Nottingham. Turned out relatively quickly, another bold showing is expected off just 2lb higher but QUESTIONABLE could be too wily at this stage. The Kublers' filly is versatile regarding ground preference and shades the vote given she is already a winner over 1m2f. Bintabuha also has a big chance.
With a good run under her belt and today's step up in trip, the well-related COMA CLUSTER may well get off the mark.

11/8(+54%) | (4) Arabian Force 11/8, Well beaten in a maiden at Kempton only start where missed the break; likely improver for top yard; not ruled out Classy pedigree and he could be a big improver after looking very green at Kempton (1m). |

2nd (7) ![]() Hymnbook |
11/2(-38%) | (7) Hymnbook 11/2, Well backed 2l third in a maiden over 7f at Wolverhampton most recent run; up in trip; could figure on turf debut 2l third of 11 at Wolverhampton (again 7f on AW; 4-1) on second start; place claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(-20%) | (5) Gloriously Sassy 4/1, Well backed 3 1/4l third in a novice over 7f at Catterick most recent run; debut form boosted; up in trip; may contend In frame twice at 7f; looks sure to be in the money again, with 1m+ highly likely to help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Flag Of Love |
14/1(-100%) | (2) Flag Of Love 14/1, Ground probably too testing fourth beaten 10l in a maiden at Ffos Las latest; previous form sets standard; big chance if fit after absence Easily best run when Haydock 2nd (1m, good) in July; good chance on that; left H Charlton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) ![]() Sir Wootton |
14/1(+22%) | (9) Sir Wootton 14/1, Wootton Bassett gelding; half-brother to Dark Crusader, high-class at 14f; yard's horses tend to need more time; best watched By Wootton Bassett; late foal on debut but pedigree means he needs a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ![]() Andersen |
11/1(-144%) | (3) Andersen 11/1, 4l fourth in a maiden over 10f at Chelmsford first-time out; back in trip; off a short-break; good jockey booked; threat 16-1 and hooded, green when 4l fourth of eight in maiden at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW) in March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) ![]() Wicklow Way |
66/1(-65%) | (10) Wicklow Way 66/1, 8,000 euros The Irish Rover gelding; full-brother to Ateenosix, useful at 7f; probably best watched 8,000euros yearling by The Irish Rover; on debut, he's perhaps best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/1(+0%) | (8) Komodo Island 7/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 4 1/4l in a novice over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; trainer in form; down in trip; squeak but probably one for handicaps after this By Frankel out of 1,000 Guineas winner; set for improvement this term, so he's in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) ![]() Mazza |
80/1(-142%) | (1) Mazza 80/1, 18,000gns Massaat gelding; half-brother to Charlie D, smart at 14f; yard without a winner this year; best watched Massaat half-brother to four winners; on his debut, others seem more likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) ![]() Hidden Hero |
300/1(-200%) | (6) Hidden Hero 300/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; up in trip; all to do Behind in Brocklesby at Doncaster last March and the same at Ripon (6f, good) ten days ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ANDERSEN has an appealing pedigree and although he was unsold at 80,000 euros as a breeze-up juvenile, he showed promise when introduced over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month. The son of Kameko ran green and got tired as that race unfolded, but can improve greatly over this shorter trip. Gloriously Sassy and Arabian Force represent high-profile yards and are respected as such. Hymnbook completes the shortlist.
A tricky choice. The extra 1f looks sure to benefit GLORIOUSLY SASSY, who gets the vote ahead of Arabian Force.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) ![]() Cosmos Raj |
15/2(-15%) | (7) Cosmos Raj 15/2, Ran to form beaten 2 1/2l off 69 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; top course trainer; down in trip; has won on turf off this mark; contender Not seen on turf for some time, but has won six times on grass including over C&D. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Paris Lights |
9/1(-100%) | (6) Paris Lights 9/1, Ran to form beaten 3/4l off 69 at Pontefract last time; generally consistent; each way player Beaten under a length into second at Pontefract last time; shortlisted if repeating that. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) ![]() Power Of Gold |
5/1(-11%) | (3) Power Of Gold 5/1, Probably needed race beaten 3/4l off 70 at Pontefract last time; had dropped a long way in weights before that; in the mix 1-19, but beaten less than a length into third on return from six months off at Pontefract. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) ![]() Jesmond Dawn |
17/2(+23%) | (8) Jesmond Dawn 17/2, Probably needed race beaten 4l off 67 at Musselburgh last time; needs to come down a few more lbs Should be suited by the conditions; ran well for a long way on recent Musselburgh return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) ![]() Jazz Scene |
7/1(+36%) | (9) Jazz Scene 7/1, Ran to form fourth beaten 5l in a handicap at Chepstow latest; consistent; returning from long layoff; probably bit to come but may just need this after wind op 1-6 for Sir Mark Prescott last year; market useful on stable debut after nine months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A promising third on his return over 7f at Redcar, STRATOCRACY should appreciate the step up back up to a mile, having won over the trip twice last season. He is preferred to Paris Lights, who had the reopposing Power Of Gold (third) narrowly behind when runner-up at Pontefract recently. Placed on his last two starts at Wolverhampton, Cosmos Raj is expected to be thereabouts as well.
The vote goes to STRATOCRACY (nap) who travelled well for a long way at Redcar and may have just needed it after five months off.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) ![]() Manila Thriller |
5/2(+29%) | (11) Manila Thriller 5/2, Well backed when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 70 over 8f at Nottingham last time; down in trip; has experience edge; could follow up Winning return at Nottingham (about 1m); up 3lb; should give it good shot from rail draw. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) ![]() Actin Like A Diva |
50/1(-79%) | (7) Actin Like A Diva 50/1, Slowly away down the field in an auction race at Naas most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; needs to improve to defy stiff looking mark on stable debut Won 6f maiden at Navan; highly tried after; makes handicap/yard debut after a break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
NEVER LET GO improved from her first to her second start when running out a determined winner at Wolverhampton just before Christmas, and a mark of 76 on her handicap debut could prove lenient for Ed Walker's filly. Successful on her comeback at Nottingham earlier in the month, Manila Thriller is a key player on the drop in trip, as are Kempton scorer Bowerchalke and top-weight Mereside Diva.
Manila Thriller was value for a 3lb rise after her recent win but NEVER LET GO can take another step forward now handicapping.

11/2(+31%) | (9) Hail Sezer 11/2, Ran to form beaten 3l off 64 at Newcastle last time; down in trip; returning from a break; should show some improvement but unreliable On a good mark, effective over C&D and has a good record fresh; plenty to like. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) ![]() First Company |
8/1(-140%) | (10) First Company 8/1, Raced freely beaten 1/2l off 64 at Kempton last time; enjoys making it; down in trip; consistent; just 2lb above last winning mark; major player Infrequent turf winner but ran well when last seen and has a good record for B Loughnane. |

15/2(-25%) | (4) Dark Kestrel 15/2, Below par fourth beaten 5l in a handicap over 5f at Nottingham latest ending consistent run; up in trip; each way claims but strike rate a worry Needs everything to fall right but on a lowly mark on turf and this trip could be ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

10th (8) ![]() Cuban Storm |
12/1(+0%) | (8) Cuban Storm 12/1, Probably needed race beaten 4l off 66 over 5f at Newcastle last time; up in trip; top jockey back on board; drying ground a plus; place claims Ties in with Glory Hyde on 2024 form but likely best watched back from 227 days off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A taking winner over C&D last June in the midst of an excellent winning sequence, YAZAMAN returned to action with a respectable effort over slightly shorter at Leicester, which should have him primed for this assignment. First Company could be well suited by the trip, having shown plenty of pace over further on the all-weather. Northcliff is another to note in the first-time visor.
A case can be argued for most of these but his record fresh, allied to a lowly handicap mark, tips the scales in favour of HAIL SEZER.

CUDA BEEN A ROWLEX's stamina just held out when he landed the spoils over 1m2f at Redcar earlier this month. Roger Fell's gelding makes plenty of appeal reverting to 1m and a 2lb nudge up the ratings is more than workable. The biggest threat may emerge from the unexposed Pretty Spirited, who so nearly sprung a big surprise on her handicap bow at Southwell, while Tuesday's Yarmouth runner-up Zappata has a very similar profile.
This can go to ZAPPATA who took a big step forward when a close second on handicap/turf debut at Yarmouth on Tuesday.

A switch to patient tactics worked the oracle for Northbound when he coasted home at Wolverhampton last week. However, he is effectively 11lb higher without Cian Horgan's 3lb claim so MISS WILLOWS shades the vote. Simon Whitaker's mare has a 10lb hike of her own to overcome, but she looked one to follow when making all on her seasonal bow at Catterick. The down-in-grade Naval Academy is worth a second look off a career-low mark.
Queens Road Revue and NAVAL ACADEMY are both weighted to go well, with marginal preference for the latter.
Ths is the racecard key.
