(5) Rock On Tommy 2.5/1, Back to winning ways when taking 8-runner handicap hurdle over C&D (heavy) 8 days ago, readily. Carries 7 lb penalty for that success but another bold bid is on the cards.

Capable Flat handicapper; still early days over hurdles and now in a new yard.

LTO Selection:

15:10 Uttoxeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Manimole was compensated for her previous efforts in defeat when romping home by nine lengths at Worcester last month and merits respect in a similar contest. Nevertheless, Nigel Twiston-Davies' inmate may prove vulnerable in conceding 7lb to POLICE ACADEMY. The daughter of Arctic Cosmos makes her first appearance for new connections and is fancied to gain a breakthrough success under Rules on this return to hurdling. The selection's stablemate Mays Hill could fare best of the remainder.

The reliable MANIMOLE looks very much the way to go on the back of her impressive Worcester success with question marks over most of her rivals. Police Academy has the form to play a part if the switch to Fergal O'Brien's yard sparks improvement and she is next on the list while Time For Joy shouldn't be written off yet and could emerge best in the quest for minor honours.

If back on song and in receipt of 7lb from likely danger Manimole, this could be a good opportunity for POLICE ACADEMY.

15:40 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NO GETAWAY recorded a first success of the season in a hunter chase at Newton Abbot in May and appears to be fairly treated now returned to handicap company. The rest of his rivals have questions to answer at present and this looks a suitable opportunity for Robbie Llewellyn's charge to record a double. Judge Earle landed two of last season's five victories at this venue and is dangerous to discount, while Pawpaw could be freshened up by a change of scenery.

NO GETAWAY looked rejuvenated when winning a hunter at Newton Abbot and this represents a good opportunity for him to follow up back in a handicap. Pawpaw is a clear next best.

It was only a three-runner hunter chase that NO GETAWAY won last time but the RPR he recorded bodes well.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This could go the way of the hat-trick seeking SECRET TRIX, who arrives in this following a comfortable victory over an extended 3m on his most recent outing at Southwell. A 6lb raised mark looks unlikely to stop his progression there and he looks the one to beat in deeper waters. Recent C&D runner-up Mr Yeats is feared most having been eased in class, while Kazontherazz is another to consider reverting to timber.

SECRET TRIX didn't look all out when going in again at Southwell recently and can defy the handicapper again and complete a hat-trick. Mr Yeats was second off the same mark here last time and is second choice ahead of Jersey Wonder, who should be sharper for his recent reappearance.

Secret Trix is 2-2 in cheekpieces and might well go in again, but the consistent MR YEATS can give him something to think about.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An emphatic winner over 3m2f last month, JUNIOR MASSINI recorded his third win from four chase starts at Newton Abbot most recently and Sheila Lewis' inmate can add to that winning tally off a 5lb higher mark. A drop in trip may not be enough to faze him, given he scored over this distance at Bangor on his penultimate outing. Miss Antipova has been knocking on the door of late and looks the selection's biggest danger, while Deadly Missile completes the shortlist.

JUNIOR MASSINI has thrived since going chasing and the manner of his latest success at Newton Abbot strongly suggested that this 5 lb higher mark would be well within reach. He is taken to complete the four-timer, perhaps at the chief expense of Miss Antipova, who has yet to taste success but she hit the crossbar on each of her last 4 starts and should remain competitive. Carlo du Berlais is third choice ahead of Deadly Missile.

There has been plenty to like about how JUNIOR MASSINI (nap) has been winning his races and he's taken to complete the four-timer.

INCHESTER D'AMSYL failed to get into contention on his handicap debut in April, but a first-time tongue-tie, combined with a 4lb lower mark, could see Jonjo O'Neill's charge get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. Connections of Blazing Court enlist cheekpieces for their gelding in an attempt to spark additional enthusiasm into him and he shades the danger vote from Sir Canford.

INCHESTER D'AMSYL underperformed on his Southwell handicap debut back in April, but it remains very early days and he's worth another chance having shown clear promise in his qualifying runs prior to that. Blazing Court may progress again now venturing into handicaps over a longer trip, while One Man Party is another who could have a say if building on his latest effort.

Sir Canford can no doubt improve on his latest fourth here but it could pay to chance ONE MAN PARTY.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
