17:20 Tramore Maiden Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Provided the ground doesn't get any softer, the Ross O'Sullivan-trained CEANNDANA can open his account over fences. A dual winning hurdler last season, the seven-year-old has run well on two of his three starts since switching to chasing. The obvious concern is that that one poor effort came under testing conditions at Killarney. With no further rain forecast, the gelding looks to have a leading chance. Coillte Aris had been running consistently over hurdles before gaining a first success when stepped up to this trip last time. The chasing debutant has previous point-to-point experience, which should be an asset. Lightly-raced Tipperary winner Farrokh also enters calculations for trainer Barry Connell.

CEANNDANA shaped well on her return when second at Downpatrick last week and can put her chasing experience to good use up against progressive hurdlers/chasing newcomers Coillte Aris and Farrokh.

ROCK ON PEDRO may do better than his chase debut latest with that run under his belt and he ran to a fair level over hurdles previously

17:50 Tramore Handicap Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Philip Rothwell-trained CHEERFUL CHAP catches the eye now he reverts to fences off what appears an attractive mark. A course winner over hurdles here a couple of seasons back, the seven-year-old received a chase rating prior to winning his two latest runs over flights. Off a 16lb lower mark, the gelding looks well treated. Dundaniel had a nice confidence booster back over hurdles last time, having failed to complete on his two previous chase starts. The nine-year-old is a strong traveller who should be well suited to this track, provided he is back on song. Four-time winning hurdler Calico takes a significant drop in class, with Carl Millar further easing her burden. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare should be very competitive.

CHEERFUL CHAP has much improved over hurdles of late and is potentially well handicapped back over fences, so is fancied to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Calico and Freddie Robdal.

Although lacking experience, the claims of in-form hurdler CHEERFUL CHAP (nap) are hard to ignore off a 16lb lower chase mark

18:20 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Despite being an 11-race maiden, the Gordon Elliott-trained MORDOR looks the one to beat. A gelded son of Roaring Lion, the four-year-old shaped well in much stronger company over the winter months. Even the bare form of his recent third at Down Royal would be good enough in the context of this race. As a dual winner on the Flat, Trustyourinstinct has to concede weight to all but two of his rivals. Joseph O'Brien's gelding was a 102-rated performer on the level but has taken time adapting to hurdling. He did, however, show a bit more when runner-up at Cork last time. Eastmore reached the frame on all three starts on the Flat last year but has shown little since switching codes. He is certainly one who will appreciate the likely better ground.

TRUSTYOURINSTINCT hasn't looked entirely straightforward over hurdles but this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account in this sphere. Mordor is next best ahead of Edge of Darkness.

This looks like a good opportunity for TRUSTYOURINSTINCT who has looked progressive in 3 hurdle starts and there should be more to come

18:50 Tramore Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Tony Mullins-trained OAKLEY can recover losses having been a beaten favourite at Tipperary earlier this month. A bad mistake at the penultimate flight ended supporters hopes, as everything had looked to be going to plan up to that point. A dual winner on the Flat, boasting a rating of 67, he could be very well treated off just 95 over jumps. Compensation awaits those who remain loyal to the former German-trained six-year-old. Mister Wilson has been chasing of late but Gavin Cromwell's gelding is of definite interest reverting to hurdles off a lower mark. He shaped well on his latest start when second at Ballinrobe. Redwood Queen is another to note, although the mare may require more of a gap between her races.

OAKLEY is well handicapped on his Flat form and having shaped better than the result at Tipperary, he can confirm that point here. Redwood Queen and Run For Harry look to be the pick of the opposition.

Very competitive but it's worth taking a chance on the still unexposed OAKLEY who blundered away his chance last time

19:20 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SCAR BRIDGE won a point-to-point on debut in March and shaped well on her first start over hurdles when third at Clonmel earlier this month. That was over two miles and Tony Mullins' charge will appreciate this longer trip. Wudya was sent off a huge price for her hurdling debut at Killarney, but acquitted herself very well when runner-up to a well-supported winner. A slicker round of jumping will see her go close. Jumping Susie has plenty of experience and ran well first time out last year, while Hashtag Be Kind struggled on testing ground at Fairyhouse in November but could be a different proposition on this surface.

WUDYA belied long odds when finishing a promising second on her respective hurdles debut at Killarney 18 days ago,, and with improvement on the cards, she looks to hold solid claims of going one place better. Hashtag Be Kind, back from another break, could yet do better in this sphere and is feared. Jumping Susie and Scar Bridge can also make the frame.

It may be worth taking a flyer on SCAR BRIDGE who should relish a step up in trip after her promising debut at two miles

19:50 Tramore Handicap Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Fifth over C&D in her first two outings in handicap company, QUEEN KULINA ran her best race so far when runner-up at Punchestown last week. Peter Croke's daughter of Court Cave is just 2lb higher and can go one place better. The booking of Michael O'Sullivan looks significant for How Decc, who struggled on heavy ground in his last two runs but had decent form last summer, including when beaten less than two lengths over this trip at Downpatrick. Elegant Dan has won twice at this venue and the veteran should be fitter for last month's first outing since October.

QUEEN KULINA confirmed the promise of her belated reappearance effort when finishing a good second at Punchestown (20f) 10 days ago, suggesting she has a race of this nature within her grasp and she looks one of the more solid options where most have something to prove. How Decc and The Border Boy are others to consider. Toor Moon would also be worth a look if getting a run.

The well handicapped ELEGANT DAN will have needed his return and he's down to a dangerous mark back at his preferred venue

20:20 Tramore NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A sister to her yard's top-class chaser El Fabiolo, SI SE PUEDE is the obvious starting point in this winnable contest and the daughter of Spanish Moon is hard to oppose. Willie Mullins won this with an odds-on chance in 2021, although his runners in the last two renewals have been turned over when sent off short-priced favourites. The locally-trained Ardera Gun, fitted with a tongue-tie for debut, is closely related to a bumper winner and could go well, while Fillusin is a half-sister to six winners, including bumper and Flat winner Miles To Memphis. Doyen Lady has twice run poorly since showing promise on debut at Navan.

SI SE PUEDE and Fillusin are well-bred mares from top yards and they're firmly expected to dominate this, with the first-name, a half-sister to the classy El Fabiolo appearing as the likeliest to prevail. Lady Bee Great makes most appeal of the others.

All eyes here will be on El Fabiolo's full-sister SI SE PUEDE who is expected to make a winning debut

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
