SPANISH TENOR stands out here on his return to claiming grade. The Ado McGuinness-trained veteran won a similar race at this track for previous connections almost three years ago before subsequently being claimed. A revelation since then, the now 10-year-old who continues in fine fettle, should make all under Cian MacRedmond. El Bello has to be a serious threat now that he reverts to his optimum trip. The grey found a mile stretching his stamina last time but had been running well over this distance previously. Roderick may find this an inadequate test but first-time blinkers could enable the eight-year-old to travel better in the early stages. If doing so, few will be finishing stronger than the Denis Hogan-trained gelding.

SPANISH TENOR is now into the veteran stage but he wasn't disgraced having gone off hard when fifth in a Naas handicap over 1m 9 days ago and, eased in class, he could be ready to strike down in trip. Come On The Lads, Roderick and El Bello head up the dangers.

These are trappy races but COME ON THE LADS hasn't been running badly in maiden/handicap company.

The Johnny Murtagh-trained GLEN PRINCESS will be hard to beat if taking a step forward from her recent promising debut. Fourth in a Dundalk maiden first time up, that particular race has subsequently been boosted by both the third and fifth placed fillies. With an ease in the ground unlikely to be of any concern, the daughter of Calyx can gain a first career success. Straya, who ran well in a competitive fillies handicap at the Curragh recently, should make her presence felt. The Jack Davison-trained three-year-old has plenty experience which could be crucial in a race such as this. Tokenomics has been running well enough in similar contests to suggest he will eventually get his turn.

GLEN PRINCESS offered plenty to work on first time up when fourth in a Dundalk maiden over this trip 45 days ago and, open to improvement, she's selected to take a step forward and make it second time lucky. Next Trick, Tokenomics and Straya are others to consider.

ROCK N ROLL ROCKET, one of only two previous winners in the race, can maintain his unbeaten record. A winner at Cork on his debut earlier this month, the form of that race was boosted when the runner-up won his maiden next time out. Well treated by these race conditions, the Jessica Harrington-trained colt holds leading claims. Alfred Tennyson has to concede weight all round on his racecourse debut but the Aidan O'Brien-trained newcomer could well be capable of doing so. Goodwood maiden winner Brosay has progressed in each of his three runs to date. While he may well need to take another step forward here, the Diego Dias-trained representative has further scope for improvement.

Preference is for ROCK N ROLL ROCKET, who got off the mark at the first time of asking at Cork earlier this month and is entitled to build on that. Powerful Lady acquitted herself well in the same contest and could be dangerous, whilst Evening Saigon and Alfred Tennyson are newcomers to note.

It could pay to chance EVENING SAIGON whose yard won this three years ago with the smart Twilight Jet.

The well-bred Adrian Murray-trained VARNER could be capable of making a winning debut. Related to some very smart speedy types, the daughter of Elzaam is in the right hands to be forward enough to be competitive first-time up. Recent Cork third Shamrock Breeze has to rate a live threat for trainer Ado McGuinness. Having shown plenty of early speed on that occasion, the filly only weakened late on. Over this fast 5f, she could be difficult to peg back if getting away quickly. Truly Enchanting has to command respect for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore. Although the daughter of No Nay Never may find this trip on the sharp side, it is never wise to dismiss debutants from this yard.

This can go to FLASH THE CASH, who was well supported when making a pleasing racecourse bow at Cork last week. Shamrock Breeze also acquitted herself well in the same contest and looks sure to go well, whilst Truly Enchanting may be the pick of the newcomers.

The beautifully-bred TRULY ENCHANTING(nap) is taken to make a winning debut and confidence would be bolstered by market strength.

Despite being a 10-race maiden, the Diego Dias-trained GAENARI looks to hold solid claims under Gavin Ryan. Just touched off at Hamilton last time, the filly had previously run a big race when third at Dundalk. Listed placed as a juvenile last season, the daughter of Inns Of Court may finally get her day. The locally-trained Staysound Susie is another that has run well on multiple occasions without managing to get her head in front. Similar to the Dias filly, she has enough ability to open her account at some point. David Marnane's Movento showed enough when staying on in seventh last time to suggest he, too, has races in him. He may just need another run or two.

GAENARI is working her way back to her best and this looks an excellent opportunity for her to open her account. Staysound Susie and Red Hugh O'Donnell can follow the selection home.

STAYSOUND SUSIE has run well several times and wasn't far behind a subsequently Listed-placed horse at Cork last time, so gets the nod.

Dropping into handicap company for the first time, the Aidan O'Brien-trained SWEETEST could be the answer. Winner of a Dundalk maiden in November, the Blue Point filly has been highly tried in three subsequent starts. Now back racing at what may well be her optimum distance, the three-year-old can beat her elders. Sevensees ran his best race to date when third over this minimum trip at Navan on his penultimate start. The Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding may not have appreciated stepping back up a furlong in trip last time. It would come as no surprise to see a big run here. Never Shout Never showed a little more last time so is another that can get involved.

SPORTING HERO pulled too hard returned to 6f at Naas last time so is worth another chance to build on his promising run at the Curragh. Mount Ruapehu and Sweetest head the dangers.

SEVENSEES was previously a fine third on good at Navan and can get off the mark back to this trip as long as the going doesn't soften.

C&D winner ALOYSIUS LILIUS shaped well enough at Navan last time to suggest his turn is near. Now rated 3lb lower than when successful here last August, it must also be highly significant that Colin Keane resumes the partnership. Cuban Grey, who finished a couple of places in front of Aloysius Lilius last time, must also enter calculations. One obvious concern for supporters is the fact that he will almost certainly be taken on for the lead. Sligo claiming winner Eruption could be suited to how the race is likely to pan out, as she can track the furious pace before her proven stamina comes into effect late on.

MARBLE ANGEL's opening mark looks a fair one on the pick of her maiden form with the drop to 5f another positive. Havana Notion was a close third on his return to turf at Navan 3 weeks ago and is next best ahead of Cuban Grey.

MY GIRL SIOUX has been running with credit recently and could turn around Navan form with Cuban Grey and Havana Notion.
