SALVATOR MUNDI was one of the big talking horses ahead of the Cheltenham Festival due to his sole run in France when chasing home the talented Sir Gino in April 2023. Connections rolled the dice to run in the Triumph where he eventually finished sixth and that experience is unlikely to be lost on Willie Mullins' gelding. Park That shaped with promise on his debut when third at Cork, while Love Me completes the shortlist following her Limerick fourth last month.

It's impossible to ignore the claims of SALVATOR MUNDI, who shaped promisingly when sixth in the Triumph at the Cheltenham Festival on only his second start (and first for Willie Mullins) and sets the bar very high with his sights lowered considerably. Park That produced a promising first effort when third at Cork at the end of March and can edge out Love Me for the forecast spot.

Having been a talking horse all winter before finishing sixth in the Triumph, this should be a formality for SALVATOR MUNDI

LADY ROSE HACKETT boasts an excellent pedigree, being out of the classy Amaretto Rose, and she is taken to leave behind her Rules debut when fifth in a Thurles bumper in February. Lucy Wang's second at Leopardstown over Christmas worked out to be a decent piece of form and she has had excuses in both subsequent runs, slipping up at Naas before finding Listed company too much at Punchestown. Pampar Lady and Rockstown Girl head the remainder.

Gavin Cromwell has his team in good form and PAMPAR LADY might be able to provide him with another winner on the back of her promising second at Tramore last month. Lucy Wang could pose the chief threat if recapturing the level of her Leopardstown second over Christmas. Lady Rose Hackett was only fifth on her bumper debut but there was strength behind her in the betting on that occasion and this point winner retains potential now hurdling.

The application of cheekpieces made the difference to get MOREPOWERTOYA back to winning ways over C&D last month and an 8lb rise might not be enough to stop him from going in again. The Niffler has to be of interest despite the fact he may be better suited by running over a little bit further, while others to note include Red Glory and Wee Charlie.

RED GLORY is taken to build on his Naas handicap hurdle debut third and strike for the Henry de Bromhead/Rachael Blackmore combination. The Niffler arrives at the top of his game and is feared most ahead of last month's C&D scorer Morepowertoya.

The one to beat is last month's convincing C&D winner MOREPOWERTOYA(nap) despite his 8lb higher mark

A tentative vote goes to HELICON, who travelled well before being outpaced and keeping on for fifth in a Tramore maiden last time. The second came out and won easily at Killarney on Sunday and a mark of 97 looks manageable on his handicap debut, so the son of Ocovango is preferred to the unexposed Oakley and Smallcraftwarning, who has strong claims on his success at Thurles two starts ago. Contrapposto, Fairytale New York and Shopping Around complete the shortlist.

Both OAKLEY and Fairytale New York represent shred yards and a much-improved showing now handicapping could easily be on the cards. Marginal preference is for the former before market cluesgiven there's substance to his Flat form. Garcon Doux is more established and is expected to figure.

Thrown in at the deep end on his hurdles bow at Punchestown in Grade 1 company, BACKMERSACKME shaped well for a long way before a mistake two out put paid to his chances. This represents a significant drop in grade for the point-to-point winner and he should have too much for the returning Pray Tell, who has not been in action since a strong runner-up effort at Cork over 3m1f last May. Cadoudal Saint looks like one who will improve for going up in trip, while the consistent Driscolls Hill is capable of being in the shake-up again.

Having won a bumper on Rules debut, BACKMERSACKME shaped well pitched into a Grade 1 at Punchestown on hurdles debut and he'll take some stopping eased markedly in class. Cadoudal Saint has more to offer and is feared most, ahead of Pray Tell.

It would be a surprise if Cork bumper winner BACKMERSACKME could not win this after contesting a Grade 1 at Punchestown last time

KING KALI took a big step forward when a narrow second over 2m3f at Naas last time and the unexposed eight-year-old could be hard to beat off a 3lb higher mark here. Miss Vivacious also hit the crossbar on her most recent outing and may prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of My Friend The Wind and Solly Attwell.

This is competitive but SOLLY ATTWELL was really strong at the line when third over 23f at Downpatrick 3 weeks ago and totally unexposed as a stayer, he makes as much appeal as of these. King Kali may also have more to offer at 3m and is second choice, with Miss Vivacious likely to give it another good go.

Second over 2m3f at Naas when backed into favouritism, KING KALI is clearly well handicapped and is chosen in the hope that he stays

BALLYGUNNER CASTLE confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when winning easily at Limerick a month ago and Willie Mullins' gelding is very hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Angelo Dundee was well held at Punchestown last time but is a player based on his win at the same venue last year, while Red Hugh and Big Dispute also merit places on the shortlist.

BALLYGUNNER readily opened his account at Limerick last time and a penalty probably won't be enough to stop him going in again. Red Hugh is worth a chance to improve given how short he was sent off on Rules debut and Angelo Dundee is a player if back to the form he showed first time out.

Preference is for ANGELO DUNDEE, a fine winner at Punchestown last year and likely to be much more forward after his run there last time
