17:25 Taunton (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A respectable fourth on his handicap debut at Newbury last time out, course winner JACKPOT DES BORDES should appreciate a return to novice company and he can strike on ground that is likely to suit. Handlethekettle has undergone wind surgery since a disappointing effort in the Persian War back in October and better can be expected of Jamie Snowden's charge. Bara Tara can pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair falter.

Maiden hurdle winner HANDLETHEKETTLE had a tough task in a Grade 2 latest and has leading claims back in calmer waters on his return.

18:00 Taunton (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JACKSBAR was given a bit too much to do behind an in-form front-runner at Southwell last week, but she rallied well for second and must hold every chance on this occasion off the same mark. A surprise winner here over shorter on her first start for this stable back in November, Chabadatika is a key player. Breccia bounced back to form in a seller at Exeter, but has more on her plate now.

Dan Skelton's JACKSBAR was a close second on her step up to 3m at Southwell last week and she gets the vote ahead of Chabadatika.

18:30 Taunton (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LARA KALEO showed decent improvement from her first to her second start when runner-up at Sedgefield and going up in trip may be just what is needed on her handicap bow. A mark of 95 looks manageable and she is preferred to Newton Abbott second Sevenofus and Bruce Gobbler, who caught the eye when staying on for fifth over shorter here last month. Others to note include Bobby's Fortune, Jukebox Annie and Karakoy.

The vote goes to the very lightly raced LARA KALEO, who looks interesting upped in trip on her handicap debut.

19:00 Taunton (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TARITINO beat Galactic Glow comfortably by more than three lengths over track and trip earlier in the month and is expected to confirm that form. The five-year-old is just 4lb higher and it would be no surprise to see him complete a double. Fine Point went in at Kempton on his latest outing and may have more to offer on only his third handicap start. Record Art isn't out of it either.

Preference is for TARITINO (nap), who justified favouritism over C&D two weeks ago and a 4lb rise for that success looks fair.

19:30 Taunton (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Man Of The Sea occupied the runner-up berth in this sphere at Plumpton in October and proved his well-being when scoring on the Flat at Bath on his return to action earlier in the month. He ought to go close, but the vote is instead handed to HIM MALAYA. Paul Nicholls' six-year-old finished a respectable third over C&D last month and can capitalise on an unchanged mark. El Gavilan is another to keep an eye on.

Several have possibilities but the vote goes to HIM MALAYA, who has had a win and creditable third over C&D in his last two starts.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BOB BISHOP showed ability when finishing third on his debut over track and trip and could take a big step forward with that experience under his belt. This looks a winnable contest and it would be no surprise to see him score. Top Tier Gossip is a big player if building on her second at Stratford, which came prior to her finding a warmer contest too much of an ask at Ascot. Any market confidence behind Colour Clash would be interesting.

Preference is for Joe Tizzard's BOB BISHOP, who made a promising start when third behind a 1-2 shot over C&D last month.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
