1st (10) (12/1 +40%) Fools Rush In |
12/1(+40%) | (10) Fools Rush In 12/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in September. 13/2, bit below form when sixth of 12 in handicap at this course (1mf) 9 days ago. Maybe the drop in trip will help him settle but it's a while since he ran over this short. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (9/4 +70%) Wilde And Dandy |
9/4(+70%) | (8) Wilde And Dandy 9/4, Two wins this autumn/winter, including C&D. Respectable third of 12 in handicap at this course (1m) 9 days ago, not ideally placed. Can give a good account. Pulled hard on his first crack at 1m here latest; be happier back down in trip; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (16/1 +36%) Rich Rhythm |
16/1(+36%) | (12) Rich Rhythm 16/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (7f, 25/1) on reappearance 25 days ago. Entitled to come on for the run. Entitled to have needed his comeback from a year off this month; can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (16/1 -100%) Noisy Music |
16/1(-100%) | (4) Noisy Music 16/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in September. 11/2, good second of 9 in handicap at Kempton (1m) 24 days ago, suited by emphasis on speed. Cheekpieces on first time. Respected. Has enjoyed a consistent spell; holds claims again if the first-time headgear helps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (15/2 -100%) Monopolise |
15/2(-100%) | (3) Monopolise 15/2, Latest win at Kempton in November. 11/2, creditable second of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 25 days ago, nearest finish. Considered. Three solid efforts since the tongue-tie went on; looked a touch unlucky last time; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (9/2 +10%) Ormolulu |
9/2(+10%) | (9) Ormolulu 9/2, 13/2, won 12-runner handicap at this course (6f) 15 days ago. Shortlist material with her 3 lb rise offset by Sean Dylan Bowen's claim. Three solid runs here (6f) since joining this yard; a 3lb rise seems fair; needs to settle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (17/2 +39%) Cliffcake |
17/2(+39%) | (7) Cliffcake 17/2, Four-time course winner. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at this course (6f, 11/2) 72 days ago. Currently 4-10 here and is on a handy mark again; quite capable of bouncing back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (22/1 +12%) Shaw Park |
22/1(+12%) | (5) Shaw Park 22/1, Three wins from 22 runs this year. 16/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 7 days ago. Others are preferred. Patchy since returned to Tapeta this autumn and is some way down the pecking order. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (33/1 +18%) Surprise Picture |
33/1(+18%) | (6) Surprise Picture 33/1, 22/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 25 days ago. Back to only 1 lb above the mark he defied at Wolverhampton in September but needs to leave recent efforts behind. Likes Wolverhampton and hasn't been in much form since winning there in early autumn. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (9/1 +0%) Straight A |
9/1(+0%) | (2) Straight A 9/1, Won twice in November, latterly over C&D. Seventh of 10 in handicap (9/2) at Newcastle (7f) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Only 1lb higher than when winning over C&D last month but not run to the same level since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (22/1 +12%) Yorkstone |
22/1(+12%) | (11) Yorkstone 22/1, Course winner. 10¼ lengths last of 12 to Ormolulu in handicap (14/1) at this course (6f) 15 days ago. Others are more persuasive. Back on his last winning mark but he's rather struggled in four runs back from a layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (12/1 -33%) Law Supreme |
12/1(-33%) | (1) Law Supreme 12/1, Won over 1m at Bath in April. Creditable third over 7f at Newmarket in early November. Well-held fifth on hurdle debut since. This trip is now a bare minimum back on the Flat; has run well on Tapeta though. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
NOISY MUSIC emerged with credit when finishing a staying-on second over a mile at Kempton earlier this month and, nudged up 1lb with cheekpieces applied, she gets the vote to atone for that near-miss. Monopolise finished runner-up over this trip at Newcastle latest and another bold bid is anticipated nudged up 2lb. Wilde And Dandy is also noteworthy in the opener.
ORMOLULU has her 3 lb rise for her recent 6f course success offset by her rider's claim and is taken to follow up. Monopolise, Wilde And Dandy and Noisy Music head the dangers in this opener.
Having look a bit unlucky not to make it 2-3 in the tongue-tie last time, MONOPOLISE is preferred to Wilde And Dandy.

1st (7) (5/2 +38%) Dance Time |
5/2(+38%) | (7) Dance Time 5/2, Course winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. Creditable third of 11 in handicap (15/2) at Wolverhampton (2m) 14 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Shortlist material. Course winner at 1m4f; improved since upped to 2m at Wolverhampton; more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (12/1 +45%) C'mon Kenny |
12/1(+45%) | (5) C'mon Kenny 12/1, 7/2, ninth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (2m) 25 days ago. Others are preferred. Handles Tapeta; AW win on Polytrack (2m); close 2nd in October; latest run was a washout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/1 -43%) Rogue Tornado |
5/1(-43%) | (3) Rogue Tornado 5/1, 5/1, creditable third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (12.5f) 19 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Both wins at 1m4f on turf but he acts on Tapeta; stays 1m6f and worth a go at 2m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (15/2 -67%) Sun Dancer Girl |
15/2(-67%) | (6) Sun Dancer Girl 15/2, Course winner. Four wins from 12 runs this year. Latest win at Lingfield in November. Creditable third of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (2m) 25 days ago. Respected. Won 3 of her last 6 races on AW, including 1m6f here; seemed to stay 2m latest; bang there. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (9/4 +68%) Little Peter |
9/4(+68%) | (4) Little Peter 9/4, Winner at Newcastle in October. Fifth of 7 over C&D (13/8) 8 days ago. 2m winner at Newcastle; tough next time; pulled hard and faded since; good pace helpful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (7/1 -40%) Caustic |
7/1(-40%) | (1) Caustic 7/1, Below form when fourth of 8 in handicap (11/4) at Wolverhampton (2m) 40 days ago. Runner-up here prior to that. Won 1m4f novice on Lingfield AW in February; mixed since and well held over 2m latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 -17%) Alright Sunshine |
14/1(-17%) | (2) Alright Sunshine 14/1, Unreliable individual. Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. 10/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton 8 days ago. Six turf wins; 0-11 on AW but fair 2nd over 2m this month; finished lame on Friday. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
DANCE TIME finished with a wet sail after not enjoying the smoothest of passages when a close-up third in a similar contest over this trip at Wolverhampton recently. Off an unchanged mark, she may prove tough to stop here. Little Peter (second) got the better of Caustic (fourth) when the pair met over an extended 2m at Dunstall Park last month, and the former can confirm his superiority over that rival.
DANCE TIME leaves the impression she has more to offer over 2m and is taken to resume winning way, perhaps at the expense of fellow filly Sun Dancer Girl, who is also unexposed as a stayer. Rogue Tornado looks best of the rest for James Owen.
An open race but course winner DANCE TIME has more to come at this trip and she is preferred to Sun Dancer Girl.

1st (2) (11/1 -38%) Brosay |
11/1(-38%) | (2) Brosay 11/1, Winner at Goodwood in May but well held last 2 starts, nineteenth of 21 in sales race at Naas (5.9f, good to soft, 40/1) in August. Cheekpieces applied as he goes handicapping on first run for yard after leaving Diego Dias. Little to suggest he was well handicapped; new yard quick to fit headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (4/1 +43%) Winchurch |
4/1(+43%) | (5) Winchurch 4/1, C&D winner on debut. Doubled his tally in nursery at Musselburgh in August but hasn't progressed from that effort since, 1½ lengths fifth of 6 to Yes I'm Mali at Newcastle (5f, 17/2) 35 days ago. Needs to find more. C&D winner; closely matched with Yes I'm Mali on latest run; should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/10 +33%) Yes I'm Mali |
11/10(+33%) | (1) Yes I'm Mali 11/10, Back down in trip/grade, showed improved form when recording a third success in 6-runner nursery at Newcastle (5f, 11/2) 35 days ago, travelling well before produced to lead over 1f out. Major player. Won 3 of his 8 starts, including AW debut at Newcastle latest; strong claims up just 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (17/2 +23%) Roysdelight |
17/2(+23%) | (6) Roysdelight 17/2, Remains a maiden but not discredited when fourth of 10 in nursery at Lingfield (5f, AW, 10/3) 25 days ago. Makes tapeta debut with visor back on. Can give his running once more. 11-race maiden; has the speed to give them a fright but needs a career best up in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (5/2 +17%) Rock N Roll Rocket |
5/2(+17%) | (4) Rock N Roll Rocket 5/2, After 11 weeks off (gelded), bounced back to form when winning 12-runner nursery (18/1) at this course (6.1f) a fortnight ago. Could still have more to offer as he makes only second start on all-weather. Won a 6f nursery here two weeks ago; 3lb rise and shorter trip both need overcoming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (25/1 -108%) I Got Soul |
25/1(-108%) | (3) I Got Soul 25/1, Winner at Hamilton in June but has struggled for form since, 7½ lengths last of 6 to Yes I'm Mali on nursery debut (14/1) at Newcastle (5f) 35 days ago. Others preferred. Struggled since maiden win in June, including when last of six behind Yes I'm Mali latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
YES I'M MALI appeared to appreciate the drop back to 5f when scoring narrowly at Newcastle last month and the suspicion is that a 2lb rise may well underestimate him. Recent 6f scorer Rock N Roll Rocket also commands respect, although the drop back to 5f coupled with a 3lb rise poses a question of him, while Brosay is respected most of the remainder sporting cheekpieces on his stable/nursery debut.
YES I'M MALI capitalised on the drop in grade when holding off the odds-on favourite at Newcastle last month and a 2 lb rise in the weights might not be enough to prevent him from following up. The biggest threat could come from Rock N Roll Rocket, who got back on track when making a winning all-weather debut, with Roysdelight also in the mix.
A 2lb rise for his latest win may not prevent YES I'M MALI from taking his AW record to 2-2. Winchurch can chase him home.

1st (3) (11/2 +15%) Alpine Oasis |
11/2(+15%) | (3) Alpine Oasis 11/2, Improved on debut form when winning 5-runner Newcastle novice (1m) in February. Good fourth on handicap debut at Chelmsford (10f) next time but she does need to shrug off a lesser effort when ninth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 19 days ago. Up in trip. Bit to prove after poor run last time but is lightly raced and may have untapped potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (10/1 -25%) Fleeting Moment |
10/1(-25%) | (5) Fleeting Moment 10/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 125/1, seventh of 11 in maiden at this C&D 51 days ago. Will hold more chance now handicapping and the betting ought to prove a useful guide. Midfield in maidens; bred to be useful and open to progress now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (11/2 -120%) Caramay |
11/2(-120%) | (4) Caramay 11/2, Gained a fourth win of the year at Wolverhampton (12.2f) at the start of the month and again ran well when runner-up at that venue 19 days ago. Definite claims nudged up 2 lb. A revelation since switched back to the AW, winning three times; shortlisted again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/4 +61%) Turner Girl |
11/4(+61%) | (2) Turner Girl 11/4, Resumed winning ways at Doncaster (10.2f) in April and largely consistent since, creditable third of 9 in handicap at this course (14.1f, 7/1) 9 days ago. Likely to give it her best shot again. Placed on her last five outings and three of those runs have been here; in the mix again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (9/4 +55%) Aiming High |
9/4(+55%) | (1) Aiming High 9/4, Course winner. Latest win at Kempton in June. Below best when sixth of 7 in handicap back at that venue (12f) in September. Absent since but she has gone well after a short break previously and claims from this sort of mark. 1-1 here and that win came after a break; quite interesting after four months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (15/2 -67%) Countess Candy |
15/2(-67%) | (6) Countess Candy 15/2, Winner at Newcastle (10.2f) in September. 33/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 24 days ago. Up in trip now and she's not out of things. 1-5; never dangerous at Lingfield last time; probably needs personal best over longer trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
CARAMAY has been in top form in recent months and appears to be the safest pick in a wide-open event, despite a 2lb rise for her second at Wolverhampton last time. Turner Girl is not a prolific all-weather winner but is more than capable of going well in a race of this nature, while Countess Candy is the pick of the remainder.
Already a 4-time winner this year, CARAMAY ran another fine race when runner-up behind a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago and she looks a big player once again on the back of a 2 lb rise. Aiming High, back from a break, and Turner Girl can also feature.
A chance is taken on FLEETING MOMENT who has a useful middle-distance pedigree and could progress now tackling a handicap.

1st (4) (4/7 +48%) King Chaos |
4/7(+48%) | (4) King Chaos 4/7, Thrice-raced maiden. First run since leaving K. R. Burke when third of 12 in novice at Newcastle (10.2f, 13/2) 16 days ago, left with lot to do but staying on strongly. Step back up in trip here in his favour and he's a definite player. Shown up well in stronger company than this; promising yard debut; plenty to recommend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (9/2 -13%) Nala The Lioness |
9/2(-13%) | (6) Nala The Lioness 9/2, Runner-up on 3 of her 4 starts in bumpers at around 2m and not gone without promise in pair of AW novice/maidens in recent weeks. Certainly not without a shout for all she appeals as being another who will be better served by handicaps/longer trips. Runner-up in 3 bumpers; has shown promise at 1m4f on AW this month; can progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (12/1 +45%) Another Lifetime |
12/1(+45%) | (3) Another Lifetime 12/1, Kendargent gelding. Looked in need of the experience when thirteenth of 18 in maiden at the Curragh (10f) on debut in September. Since joined new yard for 3,000 gns in October and he'll need to take a step forward to feature here. Excellent family; some ability over 1m2f on debut; sold 3,000gns; should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (10/3 +33%) Universal Story |
10/3(+33%) | (7) Universal Story 10/3, 40,000 gns 3-y-o, Sea The Stars filly. Promising start amidst greenness when fourth of 14 in novice at Chelmsford City (10f) on debut 23 days ago, keeping on without being knocked about. Better to come upped in trip. Well-connected filly; tough task on debut but not disgraced in 4th; can improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (150/1 -127%) Vitruvian Dawn |
150/1(-127%) | (8) Vitruvian Dawn 150/1, Study Of Man filly who was equipped with a hood for debut and showed only greenness when thirteenth of 14 in novice (200/1) at Chelmsford City (10f) 23 days ago. 200-1 for 1m2f debut at Chelmsford when a long way from the finished article. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (100/1 -52%) Come On Big Boy |
100/1(-52%) | (1) Come On Big Boy 100/1, Pulled up only start in bumpers and fared no better starting out for new yard/after 11 months off when eighth of 10 in novice (80/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) on debut in this sphere 19 days ago. Passed over stepping up significantly in trip. Pulled up on bumper debut; finished remote over 7f for new yard this month; trip query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (150/1 -88%) Invincible Heir |
150/1(-88%) | (2) Invincible Heir 150/1, Offered little both starts in 2022 and similar story back from over 2 years off when last of 14 in novice (200/1) at Chelmsford City (10f) 23 days ago. Moderate form in AW novice events at 7f, 1m and 1m2f, the latter after missing 2023. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
KING CHAOS has filled third place on all three previous starts and the son of Kingman has been found an ideal opportunity to get off the mark here. On the pick of his form, Trojan Storm would be the main danger but he has some questions to answer right now, so Nala The Lioness may give the selection the most to think about.
KING CHAOS ran up to his best starting out for the Rebecca Menzies yard when staying on strongly for third at Newcastle 16 days ago and with the return to further in his favour, he looks to hold sound claims. Universal Story, following a promising debut run at Chelmsford, and Nala The Lioness can emerge as the chief threats.
This should be a good opportunity for KING CHAOS who has held his own in better company than this.

13/8(-164%) | (6) Always Waving 13/8, Encouraging second in novice at Kempton (8f) on debut in November 2023. Off 14 months, 11/2 and hooded for 1st time, seventh of 12 in maiden at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 12 days ago, possibly needing the run. Good chance if building on that. Promising 1m debut as 2yo; reappeared with moderate 1m4f run this month; not aiming high. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 +50%) Pocket Too |
4/1(+50%) | (1) Pocket Too 4/1, Fair in bumpers for Victor Dartnall, shaped as if retaining ability making Flat debut on the back of a 31 month absence when seventh of 14 in novice at Chelmsford City (10f) 23 days ago. Could build on that now. Some bumper promise for previous yard; never showed on recent return from over 2 years off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (40/1 +20%) Misaura |
40/1(+20%) | (5) Misaura 40/1, Made frame on last of 3 starts in bumpers. Ninth of 12 in maiden (200/1) at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 12 days ago. Modest form in bumpers in in two AW events at about 1m4f; big outsider for now.. |

4th (3) (7/1 +50%) Yes Sir |
7/1(+50%) | (3) Yes Sir 7/1, €230,000 2-y-o, Sioux Nation colt. Dam 5f-7f winner out of winning half-sister to Juddmonte International Stakes winner Terimon. 14/1, tenth of 12 in novice at Newcastle (10.2f) on debut 16 days ago, very green. Never showed with a chance when remote 10th on recent debut over 1m2f; lots to find. |

6th (7) (66/1 -32%) Haafapenny |
66/1(-32%) | (7) Haafapenny 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. 300/1, tenth of 12 in novice at Newcastle (12.4f) 25 days ago. Triple-figure prices and never in contention in two starts, at 1m2f and 1m4f; unlikely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (40/1 +20%) Winding Road |
40/1(+20%) | (8) Winding Road 40/1, Once-raced maiden. Thirteenth of 14 in novice (80/1) at this course (12.1f) on debut. Off 116 days. Bred to stay well but expectations were low on 1m4f debut here and was soon struggling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (100/1 -100%) Lindas Lady |
100/1(-100%) | (4) Lindas Lady 100/1, Once-raced maiden. 125/1, last of 10 in novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f) on debut 35 days ago. Up in trip. 125-1 for debut over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton and she didn't outrun her odds. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
In a moderate event, a chance can be taken on ALWAYS WAVING, who was disappointing on her return to action at Wolverhampton 12 days ago. That said, she was second on her debut in November 2023 and that form is clearly the best on offer here. Courageous Gold wouldn't have to be a superstar to go well on his belated racecourse bow, while Pocket Too is next best.
A low-grade novice that can go to ALWAYS WAVING if she can come on for her first run for 14 months at Wolverhampton. Her second at Kempton on debut in November 2023 reads well and she won't find many easier opportunities. Newcomer Courageous Gold might be the danger, ahead of Pocket Too.
Always Waving and newcomer COURAGEOUS GOLD are the two of most interest and the latter gets a tentative vote.

150/1(-200%) | (9) Riviera Song 150/1, Once-raced maiden. 150/1 and blinkered, ninth of 12 in maiden at Wolverhampton (8.6f) on debut 37 days ago. 150-1 and blinkered when ninth of 12 at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) last month; headgear off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ONLY ONE BLUE boasts a smart pedigree being out of Group 3 winner Missunited and her progeny includes the likes of Eagles By Day, who also scored at Group 3 level, and the Japanese Group 1-placed Wholeness. The form standard doesn't appear to be particularly high and Richard Hannon's filly gets the vote to make a winning debut. Suzette Defoye is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Simca Mille and she makes plenty of appeal on paper. Timeless Spirit finished second at 50/1 here on debut and the return to this venue might see her in a better light.
AZANIYA hit the line with more to give when recording a promising debut at Kempton earlier in the month and, with a good chunk of improvement anticipated, she could have enough to open her account. Simon Crisford-trained newcomers Suzette Defoye and Harpsichord both make plenty of appeal on pedigree.
Easily preferred among those who've run, AZANIYA gets the vote. Suzette Defoye, Harpsichord and Only One Blue need a check.

9/1(+25%) | (4) Soames Forsyte 9/1, C&D winner. Seventh of 9 in handicap (9/2) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 35 days ago. Likely to find a few too good. Below market expectations behind King Of Speed last time; has it to prove now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (7/2 +65%) City Cyclone |
7/2(+65%) | (2) City Cyclone 7/2, 10/3, respectable sixth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 14 days ago. 5 lb below his last winning mark and should make his presence felt. Excuses with one thing and another since returned to the AW and should fare better. |

5th (9) (11/4 +8%) Harry The Haggler |
11/4(+8%) | (9) Harry The Haggler 11/4, 2/1, first run since leaving Stuart Williams when creditable second of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 7 days ago, no match for winner. Has to be taken seriously turned out again off the same mark. Solid debut for his new yard last weekend; holds leading claims on that off the same mark. |

16/1(-100%) | (3) King Of Speed 16/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. Creditable third of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 7/1) 35 days ago. Not without each-way hope off the same mark. Pulled hard in a messy affair at Wolverhampton five weeks ago and holds each-way claims. |

7th (6) (33/1 -230%) Saved Lizzie |
33/1(-230%) | (6) Saved Lizzie 33/1, Respectable fourth of 13 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 15/2) 16 days ago. This drop back in trip looks a good move and she's another with an each-way chance. Competitive since handicapping; didn't look to see out 1m2f latest and is one to consider. |

8th (11) (66/1 -89%) Sky Lagoon |
66/1(-89%) | (11) Sky Lagoon 66/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 66/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 51 days ago. Blinkers and eyeshields on for the first time here. Readily passed over. Would want to see some support in first-time headgear before considering her. |

9th (12) (10/1 +17%) King Of York |
10/1(+17%) | (12) King Of York 10/1, Course winner. 10/3, eighth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 8 days ago. Won't be far away off this reduced mark. provided that he puts his best foot forward. Patchy since returning from a summer break, latterly when behind Profitman last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (6/1 +50%) Ring Of Gold |
6/1(+50%) | (8) Ring Of Gold 6/1, Twenty-one runs since last win in 2022. 7/1, bit below form fifth of 10 in handicap at this course (7.1f) 46 days ago. Eased 2 lb since and he enters calculations. Frequently run well here without winning and is undeniably well treated; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (22/1 -57%) Mr Jetman |
22/1(-57%) | (5) Mr Jetman 22/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time cheekpieces on for 1st time, first run since leaving Grant Tuer when creditable sixth of 12 in handicap (11/1) at Newcastle (8f) 25 days ago. A few of these table more compelling claims. Pulled hard for his new yard latest and that wasn't a bad effort in the circumstances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (33/1 +0%) Heretic |
33/1(+0%) | (1) Heretic 33/1, 28/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at this course (7.1f) 18 days ago, slowly away. Others make more appeal. Step back up to 1m may help but hasn't shown enough in three runs back to be recommended. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (7) (17/2 +23%) Profitman |
17/2(+23%) | (7) Profitman 17/2, Three wins from 15 runs this year, the latest at Chelmsford in December. 14/1, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 8 days ago, running on. Possibilities off the same mark. Three wins came over 7f; hasn't looked to see it out in a handful of attempts over further. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SAVED LIZZIE didn't appear to see out 1m2f when tried over that distance for the first time at Chelmsford earlier in the month, and the drop back to a mile may see her get off the mark. King Of Speed beat the selection at Wolverhampton last month but is now 2lb worse off for a length success, while the consistent Harry The Haggler appeals most of the remainder.
HARRY THE HAGGLER was strong in the betting on debut for this yard at Wolverhampton last week and he put in a good shift in that 10-runner handicap. He is appealing off the same mark here, with Ring of Gold and King of York taken to fill the places in that order of preference.
There are pluses with City Cyclone, but RING OF GOLD boasts a decent record at this time of year and is well treated now.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (9/1 -13%) Heartrate |
9/1(-13%) | (11) Heartrate 9/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. Creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at Kempton (6f, 13/2) 24 days ago. Down in the weights and recent efforts have been more encouraging; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (10) (50/1 0%) Barney's Bay |
50/1(0%) | (10) Barney's Bay 50/1, C&D winner. Last of 10 in handicap at this C&D (100/1). Off 124 days. Beaten just two rivals home in five starts for current yard; plenty to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
PORTORO backed up a string of consistent efforts when scoring at Kempton last time and a 2lb rise could underestimate the authority of that performance. Just Ten High can be forgiven his latest run at Lingfield with a switch to blinkers for the first time potentially aiding his cause. Heartrate and Supernova Steps are others capable of being in the mix.
A tight affair with SUPERNOVA STEPS shading the vote in first-time headgear. Katie G and Portoro head the dangers.
King Of The Jungle is respected but PORTORO (nap) can take the drop in trip in his stride and follow up his recent Kempton win.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
