1st (1) (15/8 -70%) Patrol |
15/8(-70%) | (1) Patrol 15/8, Shaped well on second start for current yard when third of 11 in nursery at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 8 days ago, caught further back than ideal. Remains of interest. Two good runs in AW nurseries since 17,000gns buy in September and should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/1 -83%) Crest Of Light |
11/1(-83%) | (2) Crest Of Light 11/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 125/1, eighth of 10 in novice at Chelmsford City (6f) 31 days ago. Open to improvement now stepping up in trip for handicap debut. Three ordinary AW runs over 6f/7f; improvement likely up to 1m on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (20/1 -43%) Squires Treaty |
20/1(-43%) | (3) Squires Treaty 20/1, Showed more than previously when sixth of 11 in novice at this course (7.1f, 200/1) 27 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Best run when 4l sixth in a course novice last time (7f); interesting at 1m on h'cap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (66/1 -230%) Kimeko Glory |
66/1(-230%) | (4) Kimeko Glory 66/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Last of 10 in novice (22/1) at this course (7.1f) 40 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Third at Wolverhampton on second start; never travelled last time; h'cap debut; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (4/6 +67%) Mr Ubiquitous |
4/6(+67%) | (7) Mr Ubiquitous 4/6, Left previous efforts behind switched to a handicap when winning 9-runner nursery at Kempton (8f, 5/4) 55 days ago, well on top finish. Makes tapeta debut. Open to further improvement. Improved form to win on h'cap debut at Kempton last time; up 5lb; should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (66/1 -164%) Realise The Dream |
66/1(-164%) | (6) Realise The Dream 66/1, 28/1, eleventh of 12 in nursery at this course (7.1f) 28 days ago. Needs to bounce back. Best run when 6l third in Kempton nursery two runs back; poor run latest; others stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (28/1 -100%) The Kamikaze King |
28/1(-100%) | (5) The Kamikaze King 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 40/1, tenth of 11 in maiden at Chelmsford City (6f) 40 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Significantly back up in trip for handicap debut and worth a market check. Well beaten in 3 maidens, two on the AW; may improve but looks stable's second string. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
MR UBIQUITOUS justified strong market support when making a successful nursery debut at Kempton in October. The step up to a mile for the first time seemed to make a big difference for Harry Eustace's gelding and a 5lb rise doesn't appear likely to stop him from progressing further. Patrol boasts plenty of experience and is capable of being in the mix, while a repeat of Kimeko Glory's third at Wolverhampton on her second start would bring her into contention.
MR UBIQUITOUS proved a different proposition when making a successful nursery debut in smooth fashion at Kempton in October and is fancied to follow up with further improvement on the cards. Patrol is an interesting rival having shaped well on his second start for his current yard at Wolverhampton last week, while Crest of Light can't be taken lightly stepping up to a trip that promises to suit on his handicap debut.
It could be worth giving another chance to PATROL, who did well when a close third in a race that wasn't run to suit him last time.

1st (1) (9/4 +44%) Moonspirit |
9/4(+44%) | (1) Moonspirit 9/4, Two wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Hamilton in July. 14/1, pitched into a better race and ran no sort of race when last of 12 in handicap at Goodwood (8f, good to firm), slowly away. Off 133 days and this is much easier. May just need the run after four months off; stable won this race last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 +11%) Enola Grey |
4/1(+11%) | (2) Enola Grey 4/1, C&D winner who shaped as though still in form when seventh of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f, 8/1) 17 days ago, left poorly placed given how the race unfolded. One to take very seriously back up in trip and on her last winning mark. Has nothing to prove under the conditions including a win over C&D off this mark in March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (2/1 -33%) Ghaihaban |
2/1(-33%) | (3) Ghaihaban 2/1, Career best when winning 9-runner novice (5/1) at Redcar (7f, good) 76 days ago, running on. Makes tapeta/handicap debut for leading yard and she should be a major factor again. Off the mark at the eighth attempt last time; needs to progress again on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (50/1 -150%) Ashtanga |
50/1(-150%) | (6) Ashtanga 50/1, Made second start for this yard a winning one (80/1) at Wolverhampton in October. 28/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 36 days ago, weakening out of it. Won at Wolverhampton in October but well beaten either side; not quite sure what to expect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (66/1 -136%) Signora Bellissima |
66/1(-136%) | (4) Signora Bellissima 66/1, 40/1, last of 5 in handicap at this C&D, unsuited by emphasis on speed. Off 8 months. Has work to do kept to 1m. Looks held by stablemate Enola Grey on C&D running in March; off eight months. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (5) (3/1 +25%) Triumph Of Peace |
3/1(+25%) | (5) Triumph Of Peace 3/1, Winner at Salisbury in August. Creditable third of 9 in handicap at this course (7.1f, 14/1) 27 days ago, running on. In top hands and looks worth a crack at 1m. Closely matched with Enola Grey on last month's course running; likely to be thereabouts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
TRIUMPH OF PEACE remains on the same mark as when dead-heating for third here over 7f last month and the manner of that performance suggested an extra furlong might see the daughter of No Nay Never in a better light. Enola Grey filled the runner-up spot twice in November and is likely to enter calculations along with Moonspirit, who returns from a break.
ENOLA GREY won a C&D handicap from this mark in March and having caught the eye over 7f at Newcastle 17 days ago, she looks poised to strike. Ghaihaban has had plenty of experience for a handicap debutante and she's a major threat, with Triumph of Peace another to note tackling 1m for the first time.
The vote goes to ENOLA GREY who is still off the same mark as when winning over C&D back in March.

1st (10) (22/1 -83%) Kalikapour |
22/1(-83%) | (10) Kalikapour 22/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 7/2, ninth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 36 days ago. Back up in trip. Can give a good account if shrugging off latest effort. Losing run up to 12; bit to prove after a modest effort at Wolverhampton last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/2 +31%) Charlie's Choice |
9/2(+31%) | (4) Charlie's Choice 9/2, Creditable third of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW, 4/1) 21 days ago. Back up in trip. Not taken lightly. Twice placed last month; up 1lb and this trip might just stretch him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (1/1 +47%) Fast Fred |
1/1(+47%) | (3) Fast Fred 1/1, Improving sort who landed his hat-trick in 12-runner handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 18 days ago. Up another 5 lb but this C&D winner rates a big player once more. In fine form lately and should make a bold bid for the four-timer from another 5lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (80/1 -220%) Yurinov |
80/1(-220%) | (7) Yurinov 80/1, 4/1, last of 6 in handicap at Ayr (15f, good) 70 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. First run for yard after leaving David O'Meara. Dangerous if scaling a revival. 0-6; makes his stable/AW debut after ten weeks off; only of interest if backed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (18/1 +10%) Dr Rio |
18/1(+10%) | (8) Dr Rio 18/1, Latest win at Beverley in September. 12/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at this course (8.1f) 43 days ago, slowly away. Significantly back up in trip. Dual turf winner this year, but just 1-17 on the AW; others look more likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (10/1 +70%) Percy Willis |
10/1(+70%) | (2) Percy Willis 10/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. Tenth of 11 in handicap (18/1) at Newcastle (10.2f) 7 days ago. Others more persuasive. Six AW wins have come over 1m4f on Tapeta, but he needs to bounce back from a heavy defeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (14/1 -155%) Night Bear |
14/1(-155%) | (6) Night Bear 14/1, C&D winner who bagged 6-runner handicap at Brighton (11.9f, good) 6 months ago. Still merits consideration. Off six months, but has run well fresh and has won over C&D; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (22/1 -83%) Tasmanian Legend |
22/1(-83%) | (9) Tasmanian Legend 22/1, 3 wins from 13 runs this year and not seen to best effect when fourth of 7 in handicap (14/1) at Kempton (11f) 34 days ago. One to consider. Held since winning three times at the start of the year; still has stamina to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (5/1 +23%) Have You A Minute |
5/1(+23%) | (11) Have You A Minute 5/1, Course winner. Latest win here in August. 10/3, very good second of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 25 days ago, clear of rest. Up in trip. Well in the mix. Has proved consistent on the AW over the past year (31142); should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (16/1 +20%) Sid's Annie |
16/1(+20%) | (1) Sid's Annie 16/1, Unreliable type. Course winner. Seventh of 8 in handicap at Kempton (11f, 66/1) 20 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere. 5lb lower than when second in this race last year; would have needed last month's return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
FAST FRED continues to progress nicely having landed a hat-trick of victories at Newcastle and the handicapper may not have caught up with the four-year-old yet, despite going up 5lb for that latest success. Charlie's Choice is a consistent performer who may benefit from going up in trip, while others for the shortlist include Brighton winner Night Bear and Dr Rio.
A few with chances but it's hard to ignore the claims of upwardly-mobile FAST FRED who is fancied to overcome a career-high mark and rattle off his four-timer. Have You A Minute is feared most on the back of his very good Wolverhampton second, with Tasmanian Legend and Charlie's Choice also in the picture.
The progressive FAST FRED is taken to complete the four-timer with his latest success suggesting he hasn't reached his ceiling yet.

1st (1) (10/3 +33%) Equilateral |
10/3(+33%) | (1) Equilateral 10/3, Respectable 3¼ lengths sixth of 10 to Kylian in handicap at Newcastle (5f, 9/1) 18 days ago, forced to switch. Eased 2 lb and this a slightly easier assignment. Finished over 3l behind Kylian at Newcastle last month, but is now 9lb better off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (2/1 +0%) Kylian |
2/1(+0%) | (2) Kylian 2/1, 13/2, career best when winning 10-runner handicap at Newcastle (5f) 18 days ago. That maintained his unbeaten AW record and he remains of serious interest despite 7 lb rise. 2-2 on the AW with both wins coming at Newcastle; won with a bit to spare last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (40/1 -233%) Airman |
40/1(-233%) | (6) Airman 40/1, Lightly-raced winner. 9/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good). Off 160 days. Makes tapeta debut returned to 5f and may well have a bigger effort in him. Makes AW debut after 160 days off having been gelded; this looks a warm race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (8/1 -23%) Bedford Flyer |
8/1(-23%) | (4) Bedford Flyer 8/1, C&D winner. 7/1, bit below form fifth of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (5f, AW) 87 days ago. Still 4 lb above last winning mark. C&D winner; has missed the break lately but has dropped to a handy mark; off three months. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (66/1 -65%) The Fixer |
66/1(-65%) | (8) The Fixer 66/1, First run since leaving Francis-Henri Graffard when fourteenth of 17 in handicap at York (5f, soft, 80/1) 60 days ago. Lots to prove. Needs the gelding operation and switch to the AW to make a difference. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/2 +45%) Hiya Maite |
11/2(+45%) | (3) Hiya Maite 11/2, C&D winner. 4/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at this course (6.1f) 38 days ago. Way he shaped on that occasion strongly suggests return to 5f will suit. Dual C&D winner but inconsistent this year and likely to be taken on for the lead. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (33/1 -313%) Night On Earth |
33/1(-313%) | (9) Night On Earth 33/1, Four wins from 21 runs this year. Latest win at Catterick in August. 15/2, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 17 days ago. Has good chance on pick of form with that run under his belt. Established trailblazer, but whether he can hold off this field remains to be seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (20/1 +9%) Nazron |
20/1(+9%) | (5) Nazron 20/1, 16/1, first run since leaving Roger Varian when last of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 17 days ago. Back over a far more suitable trip this time and a tongue tie goes on for the first time. Return to 5f should suit and tongue-tie given a go, but too much to prove for comfort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (7/2 +46%) Mon Na Slieve |
7/2(+46%) | (7) Mon Na Slieve 7/2, 10/3, sixth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (5f) 24 days ago, no extra only close home. This is a better race, though. Has faced some stiff tasks since his successful 2yo debut, but hasn't really fired. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
KYLIAN had Equilateral (sixth) in behind when scoring at Newcastle last month and has a 7lb higher mark to contend with. Archie Watson's three-year-old was a Listed winner as a juvenile and could take this before moving onto better things. Bedford Flyer was far from disgraced in fifth at Lingfield in September and is a previous track and trip scorer to take seriously, while Mon Na Slieve might grab a place.
Classy veteran EQUILATERAL would have finished closer to Kylian with a clear passage at Newcastle recently and at the revised weights, he looks a sporting bet to turn the tables. Of the rest, Airman is an unexposed 3-y-o with the potential for better, while Night On Earth should run closer to form this time.
The vote goes to KYLIAN who did it well when making it 2-2 on the AW at Newcastle last month. He suggested there was more to come.

3/1(+33%) | (7) Swinging London 3/1, 9/2, good second of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f) 8 days ago. Leading claims. 1-38 but second off this mark in his last three starts; sure to be bang there once again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 +0%) Turner Girl |
13/2(+0%) | (4) Turner Girl 13/2, Respectable third of 6 in handicap (7/2) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 27 days ago. Has won over this far on turf, but shorter trips may suit her better on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (6/1 -71%) Arc Zoosve |
6/1(-71%) | (10) Arc Zoosve 6/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/8, good second of 6 in handicap at this course (16.5f) 27 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Worth another chance. Runner-up in both handicaps here, looking better over this trip first time; likely player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/1 +25%) Bulldog Spirit |
9/1(+25%) | (2) Bulldog Spirit 9/1, Latest win at Haydock in August. Bit below form fifth of 9 in handicap (6/1) at Newcastle (16.2f) 43 days ago. 2lb higher than when winning in good style at Haydock in August; capable of playing a part. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (12/1 -33%) Weddell Sea |
12/1(-33%) | (3) Weddell Sea 12/1, Still a maiden on the Flat but runner-up again in handicap at Newcastle (16.2f) 43 days ago. One to consider. Twice runner-up over 2m at Newcastle during the autumn; one for the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 +0%) Gastronomy |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Gastronomy 12/1, Latest win at Redcar in July. 25/1, creditable third of 7 in handicap at Redcar (14f, soft) 35 days ago. Won over this trip at Redcar in July; running with credit lately; each-way claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (18/5 +35%) Western Stars |
18/5(+35%) | (1) Western Stars 18/5, Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. Below form sixth of 11 in handicap (5/1) at Lingfield (15.8f, AW) 7 days ago. Won at Wolverhampton last month, but modest at Lingfield a week ago; needs to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (6/1 +40%) Fram Castle |
6/1(+40%) | (9) Fram Castle 6/1, 10/3, eighth of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (13f, AW) 21 days ago. 0-10; third here in September, but quiet in both starts since; needs to get back on track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (25/1 -25%) Sun Tracker |
25/1(-25%) | (6) Sun Tracker 25/1, 9/1, 11 lengths fourth of 5 to Western Stars in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f) 25 days ago. Hasn't gone on from a promising stable debut just over a year ago; opposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (66/1 -230%) Red Derek |
66/1(-230%) | (8) Red Derek 66/1, Two wins from 46 Flat runs. Fifth of 7 in handicap at Redcar (14f, soft, 11/2) 35 days ago. 2-46; hasn't built on a promising return at Leicester in October. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ARC ZOOSVE has occupied the runner-up berth on each of his two handicap starts to date, including over track and trip on his penultimate start. The son of Time Test goes off the same mark as his most recent second at this venue and he looks the one to be on. Turner Girl's rating continues to drop after finishing third at Lingfield last month and the step back up in trip might aid her cause. Swinging London is another to consider.
SWINGING LONDON is enjoying a good spell and this winning hurdler could finally open his account on the level. Arc Zoosve is lightly raced and probably has races in him. Weddell Sea is another to consider.
This may be the day SWINGING LONDON records a belated second success having run so well in defeat in his latest outings.

2/1(+50%) | (6) Tremolo 2/1, Third of 11 in novice (16/1) at this C&D 50 days ago. That race has thrown up winners and he can do better. Leading claims. Close up here in October despite starting slowly and finding some trouble; chance. |

2nd (3) (25/1 -79%) Jamaican Storm |
25/1(-79%) | (3) Jamaican Storm 25/1, Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 12 in novice (4/1) at Newcastle (7.1f) 18 days ago. Debut effort was more promising. Disappointing at Newcastle 18 days ago but his first run entitles him to respect. |

3rd (8) (7/1 -56%) Mystery Of Love |
7/1(-56%) | (8) Mystery Of Love 7/1, €72,000 foal, Ten Sovereigns filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 1¼m Swan Bay and 2-y-o 6f-1m winner All Things Nice. Eighth of 15 in deep maiden (18/1) at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) on debut 60 days ago. Likely to improve. Inexperience evident when third of the five in her group on debut at Newmarket. |

4th (4) (3/1 -20%) Joseph |
3/1(-20%) | (4) Joseph 3/1, Once-raced maiden who cost 70,000 gns as a yearling. 40/1, second of 12 in novice at Newcastle (7.1f) on debut 18 days ago, no match for impressive winner. Showed plenty there and won't need to improve much to go one better. Went off 40-1 at Newcastle (7f) but ran well behind a well-touted newcomer. |

5th (7) (28/1 -180%) War Supremo |
28/1(-180%) | (7) War Supremo 28/1, Twice-raced maiden. Fifth of 8 in novice at Kempton (6f, 7/2) 20 days ago, inadequate test. Should improve. Produced some good late work after starting slowly at Kempton the final time (6f). |

16/1(+0%) | (5) Thurso 16/1, Seventh of 10 in novice at Lingfield (7f, AW, 16/1) on debut 19 days ago, not much room. Has had a breathing operation since. Should have more to offer. Had wind surgery since enduring a troubled passage on Lingfield debut. |

8th (1) (13/2 +70%) Baloo's Blues |
13/2(+70%) | (1) Baloo's Blues 13/2, £50,000 yearling, Havana Grey colt. Half-brother to 7f winner Nammos and useful winner up to 7f Diligent Resdev. 25/1, tenth of 15 in novice at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) on debut 39 days ago. This is easier. 25-1 chance when never seriously involved at Newmarket a month ago (7f, good). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
JOSEPH outran his big odds to take the silver medal home on his debut at Newcastle last month and is likely to have plenty of improvement in him. John Butler's juvenile is related to plenty of winners and may prove tough to beat. Tremolo improved on his debut fourth to make the frame over C&D in October and it would be no surprise to see him get involved, while any market support behind newcomer Boundless Poet would be interesting.
JOSEPH showed plenty first time up at Newcastle, chasing home a promising winner, and he can go one better with improvement likely. Tremolo and Mystery of Love are a couple of dangers.
There was a lot to like about JOSEPH's debut at Newcastle. That run just about sets the standard and he can improve.

HIDDEN SECRET posted a better effort when fourth at Newmarket on his first start since being gelded. The son of Dubawi should prove competitive at this level and feature in the finish. War Hawk disappointed at Chelmsford last time, though is not easily dismissed having finished a respectable third on the Tapeta at Newcastle on debut, while the newcomer Damysus cost a hefty 460,000gns as a yearling and should be noted representing powerful connections.
DAMYSUS looks the part on paper and the hint should be taken if the market speaks in his favour. Indeed, the Frankel colt would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut and it augurs well that his leading yard has struck with it's three 2-y-o runners (all newcomers) since the turn of the month. War Hawk should be more street-wise following his Chelmsford debut and he is feared most ahead of Godolphin's Hidden Secret and Rogue Dynasty.
460,000gns yearling DAMYSUS can get off to a winning start for the Gosdens. Hidden Secret is next best.

5/1(+9%) | (6) Wilde And Dandy 5/1, Latest win at Chelmsford City in October. 13/2, creditable third of 9 in handicap at this C&D 33 days ago. Enters calculations. Won at Chelmsford in October and a close third over C&D last time; shortlisted. |

2nd (4) (4/1 +33%) Charlie Mason |
4/1(+33%) | (4) Charlie Mason 4/1, Creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW, 17/2) 27 days ago, finding test too much. Cheekpieces on 1st time and expected to be bang there back at 7f. Should appreciate the return to 7f and 1lb below last winning mark; cheekpieces on. |

3rd (8) (20/1 +9%) Mark's Choice |
20/1(+9%) | (8) Mark's Choice 20/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. 28/1, seventh of 10 in handicap at this C&D 28 days ago. 18/1(-29%) | (2) Capuchinero 18/1, Latest win at Brighton in July. 18/1, respectable sixth of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 19 days ago. Solid each-way chance. Unfortunate not to finish closer at Lingfield last time; hard to dismiss back in a Class 6. |

5th (3) (40/1 -122%) Embarked |
40/1(-122%) | (3) Embarked 40/1, C&D winner off 1 lb lower mark in September. 16/1, last of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 8 days ago. Appears to have gone off the boil and probably best watched for now. Form has rather regressed since making all over C&D in September; needs a resurgence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (9/1 +36%) Spartan Fighter |
9/1(+36%) | (12) Spartan Fighter 9/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Newcastle in October. Creditable third of 11 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f, 28/1) 5 days ago. Place possibilities. Nine wins on Tapeta including over C&D; return to the surface can only be to his advantage. |

7th (1) (2/1 +20%) Izzari |
2/1(+20%) | (1) Izzari 2/1, 10/1, career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 7 days ago, well on top finish. Very much a player under a penalty here. Suddenly improved when winning at Newcastle a week ago; serious player under the penalty. |

8th (9) (28/1 -75%) King Of War |
28/1(-75%) | (9) King Of War 28/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Sixth of 9 in handicap at this C&D (18/1) 33 days ago. Now tried in blinkers and wouldn't be without an each-way chance if he puts his best foot forward. 0-11 since joining this yard and has a bit to find with Wilde And Dandy; blinkers on. |

9th (11) (80/1 -142%) Beautiful Dawn |
80/1(-142%) | (11) Beautiful Dawn 80/1, 80/1, sixth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 19 days ago, nearest finish. Looks up against it. Showed a bit more at Wolverhampton last time, but is still hard to warm to. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (28/1 -75%) Heretic |
28/1(-75%) | (7) Heretic 28/1, 25/1, seventh of 9 in handicap at this C&D 33 days ago and he needs to get back on track. Two efforts over C&D since returning from a mammoth absence in October need improving upon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (14/1 +13%) Create |
14/1(+13%) | (10) Create 14/1, Course winner. Latest success at Doncaster in July. 16/1, bit below form sixth of 12 in handicap at this course (8.1f). Off 102 days and she will be in with a shout if on-song. Back off the same mark as when winning narrowly at Doncaster in July; can't be dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (11/2 +21%) Turbo Command |
11/2(+21%) | (5) Turbo Command 11/2, Three-time C&D winner. 10/1, ninth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 29 days ago. Did too much too soon with cheekpieces enlisted that day but goes without the headgear this time and he's one to consider. Tame effort at Newcastle last time, but 3-7 over this C&D; may perform better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
IZZARI opened his account when scoring with plenty left in the tank at Newcastle last week. Iain Jardine's charge remains unexposed and it could be no surprise to see him defy today's 6b penalty in this lower grade. A winner at Chelmsford in October, Wilde And Dandy placed over course and distance on his latest start and can feature once again, while Capuchinero appeals most of the remainder.
WILDE AND DANDY has returned to form the last twice, striking at Chelmsford prior to putting in a good shift when third in a slightly higher-grade handicap over this C&D. He is taken to get his head back in front, perhaps at the chief expense of Charlie Mason, who was again on the premises when fourth at Lingfield last month and the fitting of cheekpieces may help eke out a bit more. Izzari did the job well at Newcastle last week and also has claims, along with Turbo Command.
The choice is IZZARI who suddenly took off when winning a better race at Newcastle a week ago. He may still have more to offer.

2nd (12) (3/1 -20%) Kats Bob |
3/1(-20%) | (12) Kats Bob 3/1, C&D winner. Very good second of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 22/1) 7 days ago. Collared only late there so he has to be taken seriously off an unchanged mark. 5lb lower than when winning over C&D in January; gradually returning to form lately. |

5/1(+72%) | (10) Bellagio Man 5/1, C&D winner. 9/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 7 days ago, merely closing up late. Eighteen runs since last win in 2023. Little impact last time, but twice ran well before that and could make an impact. |

10/1(+50%) | (4) Arc Shadowfax 10/1, Possibly still needed the run when a fading fifth of 10 in handicap (22/1) at this C&D 22 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Possibilities. Fifth on second start for this yard over C&D last time; probably needs more; visor on. |

6th (3) (9/1 +55%) Phoenix Beach |
9/1(+55%) | (3) Phoenix Beach 9/1, C&D winner. 14/1, took a step back in the right direction when fifth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 7 days ago, never nearer. Enters calculations. C&D winner who has been placed a few times off similar marks on Tapeta during the autumn. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (14/1 +0%) El Hibri |
14/1(+0%) | (7) El Hibri 14/1, C&D winner. 3 wins from 14 runs this year. Below-form fourth of 6 in handicap at this course (5f, 12/1) 36 days ago, slowly away. Back up in trip with more required. Two of his four wins have come over C&D; may have needed the run last month; respected. |

9th (11) (17/2 -55%) Mccauley's Tavern |
17/2(-55%) | (11) Mccauley's Tavern 17/2, 11/2, first run since leaving Mark Loughnane when creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Nottingham (6.1f, heavy) 47 days ago. Merits consideration. Ran well on stable debut at Nottingham in October; still has something to prove on Tapeta. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (5) (14/1 -56%) Inanna |
14/1(-56%) | (5) Inanna 14/1, Latest win at Hamilton in September. 7/1, creditable third of 12 in handicap at Musselburgh (7.1f, good to soft) 34 days ago. Ought to be in the shake-up. Dual turf winner in September; needs to better previous AW form but that's not impossible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (10/1 +50%) Masterclass |
10/1(+50%) | (9) Masterclass 10/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2023. Off 4 months before coming in eighth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (5f, 22/1) 17 days ago. Can build on it with cheekpieces back on. Only one piece of worthwhile form in six starts for this yard; others hold stronger claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (11/1 +45%) Zaman Jemil |
11/1(+45%) | (2) Zaman Jemil 11/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. 20/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, good to soft). Off 127 days. Losing run up to 14 despite a plummeting mark; plenty to prove after four months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
KATS BOB won here back in January off a 5lb higher mark and gave notice a return to winning ways was imminent when going close at Newcastle. He may prove the one to side with, given Crocodile Power has to compete off a career-high mark having won again at Catterick last time. The latter could still land a blow, while Bellagio Man is also fancied to go well with an apprentice's allowance helping his cause.
This is wide open but KATS BOB can race off the same mark as when a very good Newcastle second last week so looks the way to go. Mccauley's Tavern made an encouraging start for Mick Appleby when fourth at Nottingham and heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can also be made for Phoenix Beach, Inanna and Crocodile Power.
The vote goes to KATS BOB (nap) who is 5lb lower than when winning over C&D in January and has been gradually returning to form lately.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
