The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
This looks to rest between the two Flat winners, Dark Note and Shajak. The former won a Ballinrobe claimer for Joseph O'Brien last summer and was runner-up in a Bellewstown handicap off 72 for present connections. Gradually progressive in four starts over hurdles, his Wexford second was a decent effort, with the winner having shown up well in a couple of strong winter maidens. SHAJAK, though, is rated the best part of 20lb better on the level and was a useful middle-distance performer for Johnny Murtagh last term. He beat smart hurdler My Mate Mozzie in a Tipperary maiden and was third in a Listed race at Leopardstown. Fifth on hurdles debut at Killarney, Jack Kennedy's mount should have learned enough from that to score here. Say It So, not beaten that far on hurdling debut at Roscommon, has a chance of minor honours.
There's seemingly little depth to this maiden and it would appear to represent an ideal opportunity for useful Flat performer SHAJAK to build on his quite encouraging opening hurdle run at Killarney in May. Dark Note is the obvious one to follow him home. Newcomer Suile Ban has quite a good pedigree and is one to monitor in the betting.
The Gordon Elliott-trained SHAJAK was a Flat winner and Listed placed and should improve enough from his Killarney debut to land this

1st (1) (2/1 -23%) Bukhill |
2/1(-23%) | (1) Bukhill 2/1, Promising individual. First run since leaving Willie Mullins when fourth of 17 in maiden at Punchestown (16.2f, good) on hurdles bow 29 days ago. Potential for better. Leading claims. Good fourth under this rider in a Punchestown maiden hurdle last month; should come on. |

125/1(-25%) | (5) Knockwilliambridge 125/1, 50/1, twelfth of 14 in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (16f, good) on hurdles bow 20 days ago, going in snatches. Soundly beaten on his hurdles bow at Kilbeggan last month; others more likely here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (66/1 -32%) Kalsman |
66/1(-32%) | (4) Kalsman 66/1, Modest hurdler. 200/1, seventh of 17 in novice hurdle at Punchestown (16.2f, good) 29 days ago. Improvement in a Punchestown maiden hurdle last month and can get involved with a repeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (80/1 +36%) Ozark Thunder |
80/1(+36%) | (8) Ozark Thunder 80/1, 80/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Thurles (21f, heavy) 118 days ago, pulled up before 2 out. Poor level of form on the track and certainly not flattered by a mark of 85; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (25/1 -25%) Watergrangedreamer |
25/1(-25%) | (13) Watergrangedreamer 25/1, Respectable sixth of 11 in bumper at Listowel (20f, good, 100/1) 34 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Failed to trouble the judge in no less than nine bumpers; probably safe to look elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (7/1 +72%) Get It Right |
7/1(+72%) | (2) Get It Right 7/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 14 in bumper at Ballinrobe (16.6f, good to soft, 16/1) 68 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Showed ability in bumpers; hurdles debut here and could get involved. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BUKHILL may be able to provide his young rider with a first winner. The half-brother to useful hurdler Mount Windsor was a beaten favourite in two bumper starts for Willie Mullins but ran to a fair level in the context of this race, and there was plenty of encouragement to be derived from his hurdling debut fourth at Punchestown on his first start for Peter Fahey. The Mass Path, fitted with headgear and dropping back in trip, has run reasonably well in a trio of stronger maidens. His mark of 102 makes him one of the main contenders. Mac's Xpress is rated just 2lb lower and was running a decent race when coming down at the last in a Tipperary handicap. He disappointed a few days later at Punchestown but has a chance in a maiden of this standard. The selection's stablemate Artemis Angel was a beaten favourite at this track last time but has place claims on overall form and is now tried in cheekpieces.
BUKHILL made a sound start to his hurdle career for new trainer Peter Fahey at Punchestown last month and looks the way to go here with improvement on the cards. Jessica Harrington's Mac's Xpress has been given a short break since a lesser run in May and can bounce back and provide the chief threat ahead of the selection's stablemate Artemis Angel.
Preference is for the Peter Fahey-trained BUKHILL who ran well for this rider at Punchestown last time and can come on for that

1st (6) (3/1 +14%) Red Ball Of Fire |
3/1(+14%) | (6) Red Ball Of Fire 3/1, C&D winner. Blinkered for 1st time, ran well when second of 11 in handicap hurdle at Listowel (16f, good, 8/1) 34 days ago, faring best of those held up. Merits consideration. Blinkers left on here after a good run at Listowel last month; the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/1 +67%) Delante |
11/1(+67%) | (3) Delante 11/1, Well held sent chasing with tongue tie back on after 3 months off at Killarney (20f, good to soft, 40/1) 8 weeks ago. Switches from chase to hurdles with work to do. Well held in handicap hurdles and same story over fences at Killarney last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (14/1 -320%) We Got This |
14/1(-320%) | (2) We Got This 14/1, 100/1, won 14-runner maiden hurdle at Navan (16f, good to soft) on debut just over 4 months ago, leading run-in and all out to hold on. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Navan debut winner; tough ask in her first handicap but clearly a very interesting runner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (3.5/1 +46%) Nodoubtaboutthat |
3.5/1(+46%) | (5) Nodoubtaboutthat 3.5/1, Confirmed promise of reappearance when third of 14 in handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (18.8f, good, 12/1) 3 weeks ago. She's one to look out for from this sort of mark so shortlisted. Drops back in trip here but progressing and every chance of getting involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (2.5/1 +72%) Angelsworknovrtime |
2.5/1(+72%) | (9) Angelsworknovrtime 2.5/1, Bit below form third of 10 in maiden hurdle (10/3) at Downpatrick (18.8f, good to soft) 22 days ago. Back in a handicap and will have more chance. Two solid efforts in maiden hurdles at Limerick and Downpatrick; each-way chance here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (14/1 -211%) Eve Moneypenny |
14/1(-211%) | (1) Eve Moneypenny 14/1, Hooded, won 20-runner maiden hurdle (50/1) at Punchestown (19.8f, good) on Rules debut 29 days ago. Open to improvement sent handicapping so one to consider. Drops back in trip but she could be more than good enough to haul this weight successfully. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (5/1 -25%) Purse Price |
5/1(-25%) | (7) Purse Price 5/1, 2/1, proved to be a disappointment when fourth of 5 in novice hurdle at Leopardstown (16f, good to soft) 4 months ago, headed home turn having made most. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Handicap debut and looks fairly treated so could well go close if she doesn't need the run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (22/1 -38%) Nelly's Money |
22/1(-38%) | (4) Nelly's Money 22/1, One win from 3 runs last season. Below form seventh of 17 in handicap hurdle at Tipperary (20f, good to soft, 11/1). Off 12 months. First run for yard after leaving Robert Tyner. Debuts for John Ryan after more than a year off the track; likely to come on for the run. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WE GOT THIS recorded a 100/1 shock on debut in a mares maiden hurdle at Navan in March and the form looks quite solid with the first four pulling clear. The runner-up Broomfield Bijou has won both outings since including a handicap at the Punchestown Festival off a mark of 118 so this initial rating seems fair with the prospect of further improvement to come. The locally-trained Red Ball Of Fire won twice over C&D in 2021 and made a promising return when finishing strongly here on the Flat in May. She was fitted with blinkers for the first time when runner-up at Listowel last time and the booking of Michael O'Sullivan is significant. Nodoubtaboutthat has been lightly raced since winning at the Galway Festival in 2021 and gave some encouragement in two outings last month. Purse Price and Angelsworknovrtime have both been frustrating to follow.
Plenty in with a squeak but NODOUBTABOUTTHAT confirmed the promise of her reappearance when third at Downpatrick 3 weeks ago and having eased a shade further in the weights, Shane Crawley's 8-y-o gets the nod to notch career victory number 3. Eve Moneypenny caused a 50/1 shock when making a successful start to life under Rules at Punchestown recently, so she's put forward as the main danger, ahead of Red Ball of Fire and We Got This.
Preference is for RED BALL OF FIRE(nap) who always runs well here and comes here on the back of a good second at Listowel last month

50/1(-52%) | (9) Woodstream Lad 50/1, 8/1, fourteenth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Thurles (15.7f, good to soft). Off 8 months. Blinkers on 1st time. Difficult ask. Modest maiden and handicap form; 5lb out of the handicap and looks up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (5.5/1 -83%) Pont Audemer |
5.5/1(-83%) | (4) Pont Audemer 5.5/1, Winner in hurdle at Limerick in January. 8/1, creditable third of 9 in handicap at Ballinrobe (9.6f, good) on IRE flat debut 13 days ago. Has to be taken seriously. Very consistent; keeps going up the handicap though and faces another difficult task here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (2.25/1 +36%) Staging Post |
2.25/1(+36%) | (8) Staging Post 2.25/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2021. 11/4, good second of 14 in handicap hurdle at this course (17.6f, good to soft) 26 days ago. Makes plenty of appeal. Good second here last month; top rider booked and has to have a solid chance here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(-100%) | (3) Willyouwalkwithme 14/1, Course winner. Two wins from 6 runs last season. Respectable fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (17.3f, good, 7/2) 21 days ago. Not discounted. Downpatrick specialist; this track has its similarities and he won here last year; player. |

7th (2) (7/1 +18%) Bigz Belief |
7/1(+18%) | (2) Bigz Belief 7/1, Fourteenth of 16 in handicap (4/1) at Limerick (11.3f, good) 16 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Fairly useful hurdler, improved to win on last hurdle outing. Should benefit from a return to this sphere. Won a claiming hurdle over 2m2f here last month; very poor on the Flat at Limerick since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (22/1 +33%) Alhaajeb |
22/1(+33%) | (6) Alhaajeb 22/1, Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles. Fair winner at 11f on Flat. Eighth of 10 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Kilbeggan (16f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Others make more appeal. Soundly beaten in three maiden hurdles and a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (7/1 +42%) Garcon Doux |
7/1(+42%) | (5) Garcon Doux 7/1, 8/1, below form eleventh of 18 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft) 64 days ago. Others more persuasive. Any rain that falls will help but others look more likely to run their race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (66/1 +34%) So Easy Way |
66/1(+34%) | (10) So Easy Way 66/1, 150/1, tenth of 12 in maiden at Ballinrobe (9.6f, good) on flat debut 13 days ago. Pulled up on last hurdle outing. Easy to look elsewhere. Well beaten last twice and makes no appeal from 8lb out of the handicap. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WARM IN GOREY has been in good form this year and opened his account in a lady riders handicap at Punchestown last time. A 5lb rise for that success seems fair enough and the Philip Rothwell-trained gelding appears quite versatile ground wise. Staging Post won a bumper here and, having won a Wexford maiden hurdle, has dropped down to a competitive mark. He filled the runner-up spot in a similar event here last month and is a threat with Michael O'Sullivan taking the ride. The Big Chap has progressed well over the past 14 months scoring twice but ran too bad to be true at Roscommon last month, while Bigz Belief won a claiming hurdle at this venue last month but has since disappointed on the Flat at Limerick.
WARM IN GOREY upped his game to run out a cosy winner at Punchestown last time and he's worth a chance to follow up at the possible expense of Staging Post, who arrives on the back of a good second. Pont Audemer is another one to consider.
A good afternoon for Mark McNiff could be continued by STAGING POST after a good run here last time and with a top claimer booked

Seemed to improve on last hurdling efforts but uncertain to back it up. Ran well from out of the handicap at Ballinrobe; a repeat of that would put her in the mix. |

Tongue strap on 1st time. Others more persuasive. Ran a cracker at Limerick but possibly in season when pulled-up at Roscommon; needs best. |

10th (7) (14/1 +58%) Mosaaheb |
14/1(+58%) | (7) Mosaaheb 14/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Pulled up in handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe (22.1f, good, 25/1) 40 days ago. Some encouragement on previous outing, so not a forlorn hope. Engaged 7.30 Bellewstown Saturday. Decent run at Clonmel in May but made mistakes when pulled-up at Ballinrobe since. |

16/1(+20%) | (14) Inagh's Gift 16/1, Remains a maiden after 22 NH runs. Respectable ninth of 15 in handicap hurdle (18/1) at Roscommon (16.2f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Back up in trip. Others make more appeal. Beaten 21l on Roscommon return and has to improve plenty on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (13) (5/1 -166%) Bidentime |
5/1(-166%) | (13) Bidentime 5/1, 5/2, first run since leaving Liam P. Cusack when very good fourth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, good to soft) 47 days ago. Likely to build on that, so makes plenty of appeal. Only beaten 9.5l at Punchestown; if improving from that then should go close. |

|PU| (18) (66/1 +34%) Midnight Fortune |
66/1(+34%) | (18) Midnight Fortune 66/1, Eleventh of 16 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, good to soft, 125/1) 47 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. RESERVE. Well beaten off this basement mark lately and is difficult to make a case for; reserve. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MACS LADY was worryingly pulled up recently but had previously run well in a useful May handicap. Other than her Limerick run, her profile is poor but the winner of that race was well handicapped, the third and sixth won subsequently, while the fourth, fifth and seventh were each placed next time out. Corkbeg himself disappointed in that Limerick race but won previously and is suited by this distance. Leish Oscars Son was an April point-to-point winner and has place claims, while Bidentime is a 14-race maiden but suffered some interference at the start at Punchestown recently and wasn't beaten too far. In-form Natural Breeze has won just once from 19 runs.
This race lacks depth and BIDENTIME made a positive start for his new yard when fourth at Punchestown, so he gets the nod over Natural Breeze, who arrives on the back of a solid effort at Downpatrick. Attitash is another one to consider.
Having run a creditable race on return at Downpatrick last time, NATURAL BREEZE should have improved enough to score.

Has work to do. Poor over fences latest; would have a shout on the pick of his hurdles form of early 2022. |

11/1(+21%) | (13) Townhill Penny 11/1, 4/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (24f, good to soft) 39 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Got struck into when disappointing at Wexford last time; can bounce back and run well. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
IRIDESCENT won a handicap on his fencing debut last month and reverts to hurdles. He has won just twice from 21 hurdle runs but relishes staying distances, competes over his longest trip to date here, and his timber rating is now 8lb below his chase mark. Mister Twist has been running well in handicaps and while 4lb higher than on his last handicap appearance, won a recent maiden hurdle and likes staying distances. Six-time winner Gotthenod is suited by good ground and staying distances but while she was a recent Wexford winner, has yet to win or be placed from today's revised rating. Another recent winner Ballyglass Beauty also stays well but competes from a career-high rating, while Goodnightngodbless hasn't run over hurdles since August 2021. Spring Street was beaten 75 lengths on his latest run but had previously run well in April and steps up in trip in a first-time tongue-tie.
GOODNIGHTNGODBLESS has been in good nick over fences and switches to hurdles on a tempting mark so edges the vote in a highly competitive handicap. Dinoland also figures on a handy-looking weight and rates a big threat, with Menindee another who can have a say back in this sphere.
This is competitive but IRIDESCENT is on a steep upward curve, with chase and hurdle wins on last two starts, so can score again.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (14/1 +36%) Mont Beuvray |
14/1(+36%) | (8) Mont Beuvray 14/1, Twice-raced maiden under NH rules. 25/1, third of 6 in bumper at the Curragh (16f, good) on bumper debut 32 days ago, needing stiffer test. In the mix. Beaten 6.25l in a Curragh bumper last time; with improvement he can be closely involved. |

Has shown a glimpse of ability in four point' starts; this looks more suitable a trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GIVAGO runs in a tongue-tie on July debut aged five but represents Willie Mullins and is by a sire who the trainer has a good record with and includes State Man and Sharjah. The selection was withdrawn from a French foal sale in 2018, is out of a Grade 2-winning hurdler whose half-brother is smart hunter chaser Vaucelet, and debuts for a leading owner. Arabian Diamond has proven form and while narrowly beaten in Kilbeggan by a Mullins-trained hotpot who had finished fourth at the Punchestown Festival, remains vulnerable to smart newcomers. Mont Beuvray ran well in a useful Curragh winners' bumper last month but might also find a smart type too strong, while Lake Winnipesaukee had bumper form last autumn but needs to improve.
Gordon Elliott's ARABIAN DIAMOND has improved with each of his three runs and is taken to build on his excellent Kilbeggan second and fend off Willie Mullins's newcomer Givago, who rates a big threat. Mont Beuvray appeals as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.
The way Willie Mullins is moppng up in bumpers lately makes it difficult to oppose the well-bred GIVAGO.
Ths is the racecard key.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
