17:10 Sligo Claimer 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

REDSHORE CITY flopped when favourite over C&D earlier in the month and is far from advantaged by these weights, but has an each-way chance. He had a wide draw and just couldn't get into that Sligo sprint, but goes to work from stall four. He is better judged on his penultimate effort when beating a big field at the Curragh. Eruption has to be respected as she finished ahead of Redshore City in third in that aforementioned race and, as that was her first run for more than six months, improvement should be forthcoming. Sadiqaa was in front of Eruption in second and ran a cracker to be pipped by a head, but has a much tougher draw now.

ONE FOR MUM disappointed on her latest outing in a big field Curragh handicap 24 days ago but the pick of her 3-y-o form gives her sound claims in a race lacking depth and the application of first-time blinkers could well put an extra edge on her here. Lockdown and the returning Nearly A Gonna are others to consider. Sadiqaa arrives on the back of a good effort which could also count for plenty here.

It could pay to side with SADIQAA, who appeared an unlucky loser of a C&D handicap 10 days ago

17:45 Sligo Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

With rain expected in Sligo, VICTOR'S CHOICE is taken to add to her Gowran Park victory. She sluiced up by five and a half lengths last week and reappears under the 7lb penalty. That victory came over further and previous efforts over sprint trips have been unconvincing, but she loves cut in the ground. Layoftheland has been much better in her two races this season, when putting in good late work, and should be involved. Sophia Klimt stayed on for fifth in Navan and could get closer, while Dark Enigma would be a player if she handles the slower ground.

Though dropping back to 6f probably won't be entirely ideal, VICTOR'S CHOICE is still much the most likely winner on the back of her clear-cut Gowran success last week. Indeed, she will surely prove hard to beat under a penalty. Layoftheland and Dark Enigma can fill the places.

The penalised Victor's Choice has a big chance in theory. However, LAYOFTHELAND, a slow starter at Navan, may take her measure

18:15 Sligo Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Dermot Weld's BROSNA TOWN has to be of interest in this weak maiden as he was only 5/1 for his debut at Thurles in October when he finished eighth. He is a half-brother to a Listed winner and Weld's stable has really got going in the last three weeks. Imarajan showed improvement to finish fifth over a similar trip in Cork and is race-fit. A half-brother of this colt was good enough to win a heavy-ground maiden in Cork on his way to a mark of 90. Plenty of headgear is reached for on Celestial Reign, but he is a brother to a Group 3 winner and a potential improver on his second start.

CASTLEHEATH showed plenty when mid-field it what is traditionally a reasonable maiden at Navan 3 weeks ago and that sets the clear standard with the promise of more to come. Imarajan is capable of better after just two starts and is feared most.

A maiden which shouldn't take much winning and a good opportunity for IMARAJAN, whose recent Cork run could well be good enough

18:45 Sligo Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BUTTER FINGERS kept on steadily when sixth over a mile on handicap debut at Gowran last week. Stepping up in trip will suit this May foal, who is likely to progress as the year goes on as was the case with his brother Rough And Tough, a dual winner for the Mulvany yard last October. Miami Sunshine, almost six lengths ahead of the selection when third in that Gowran contest, has an obvious chance but the outcome may be different over this longer trip. Four of these enter handicap company for the first time and Newfire, whose sister Lamprog did well for Ray Cody in similar contests a couple of years ago, is of interest despite a nine month layoff.

The vote goes to MIAMI SUNSHINE, who put in a good shift when runner-up on her seasonal reappearance at Gowran last week and this stiffer test could be just the ticket. Copie Conforme makes her handicap debut at a realistic level and she is the clear main danger. Rogerwaswrong is best of the rest.

An eyecatcher at Gowran a week ago, this longer trip and better ground could be just what MIAMI SUNSHINE (nap) needs

19:15 Sligo Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CARLO BIANCONI, a beaten favourite in all three maiden outings, may have a class edge against these rivals on handicap debut. His first two runs resulted in creditable silver medal finishes and 1m4f may have been too far last time. Back to a more suitable trip with headgear fitted, the Galway gelding can get off the mark. Fiver Friday, trained in Co Antrim, has made regular and profitable visits to Scotland since last summer and is up 6lb for last month's win at Ayr. Red Ball Of Fire, whose three hurdle wins have come here, is always one to note at her local track. Third in this race last year, she has a run under her belt this time around.

PINBALL WIZARD did well under the circumstances when third over a mile at Cork last time and, with this step back up in trip a good move, he looks the way to go. If on-song Gunsight would have a serious chance and handicap debutant Carlo Bianconi is also shortlisted.

The very experienced PINBALL WIZARD met trouble in running at Cork and may now gain compensation. Carlo Bianconi is a big danger.

19:45 Sligo Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

You'll never go too far wrong if following Andy Oliver's runners at Sligo and the Tyrone handler can strike here with WISDOMOFHINDSIGHT. The gelded son of Bobby's Kitten was appearing for only the second time when placed in a big field at the Curragh and a couple of those in behind have won since. The four-year-old should come on for that seasonal debut over a mile and will appreciate this longer trip. Intellotto, a smart juvenile hurdler and twice runner-up on the level, is rated 87 and will certainly take plenty of beating. Firebrand, another that has been hurdling lately, didn't see out 1m4f when fourth at Gowran and this drop in trip looks a good move.

This looks ripe for INTELLOTTO, who hasn't been seen out in this sphere since finishing second in a Cork maiden last spring but he has subsequently won two of his four starts over hurdles. Joseph O'Brien's charge is likely to prove a class apart here. Wisdomofhindsight finished a creditable third at the Curragh last time and he is third choice ahead of likely improver Marirah.

Smart juvenile hurdler INTELLOTTO sets a good standard with his two hurdling wins and two Flat seconds.

20:15 Sligo Maiden 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Joseph O'Brien runs two and ALONZO is preferred after an encouraging return to action over 1m4f at Cork. Well backed when fourth on that occasion, the Frankel colt finished half a length behind third home Highbury, who bolted up at Leopardstown on Sunday. It looks strong form in the context of a very winnable maiden. Stablemate Bladon, trained by Kevin Coleman when beaten five lengths in a decent contest at Killarney last summer, is fitted with headgear and takes a big step up in trip on seasonal debut. Man Of Worth, a son of Sea The Stars from a classy and stout Moyglare family, didn't show much in a back-end maiden at Gowran but should be capable of better.

BLADON shaped with encouragement at a big price on debut 10 months ago and, while not seen since, he's joined a top stable since and has the potential for much better, so he's marginally preferred to stablemate Alonzo, who sets the standard on what's been achieved to this point. Evans Secret should typically give his running but may come up short for ability.

Joseph O'Brien's team has suffered recent reverses but ALONZO will be hard to beat if building on his recent fourth at Cork.
