18:00 Ripon Maiden (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COEUR JAUNE showed good early speed before fading into third on her debut at Nottingham a fortnight ago and she appeals as the most likely winner. That said, both Charmster and She Went Whoosh make appeal on paper and market support should be noted ahead of their respective debuts. Bacor has produced a similar level of form across both of her starts but will need a bit more to come out on top.

A €140,000 purchase from the breeze-ups, COEUR JAUNE produced a promising first effort when third in a Nottingham maiden 2 weeks ago and, with improvement anticipated, she looks to hold sound claims of building on that and coming out on top. There are a number of interesting newcomers in opposition, headed up by She Went Whoosh and Lady Roxby before the benefit of market clues.

The choice is COEUR JAUNE who showed more than enough on her Nottingham debut to suggest a race like this should be within her grasp.

18:35 Ripon Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Oligopoly sets the standard with an official rating of 80 and is an obvious candidate ahead of his stable debut. He hasn't been seen for almost a year though, and so preference is for REBEL EMPIRE. Richard Hannon's gelding hit the frame in handicap company at Windsor last time out and a similar level of performance might suffice. Newcomer Ice Pop is also noted.

OLIGOPOLY proved very disappointing when trailing in last of 11 in a Curragh nursery on his final start for Joseph O'Brien in July. Gelded/changed hands for 11,000 gns thereafter, his previous efforts would be enough to see him very competitive in a race of this nature, so he gets the narrow vote to hit the ground running back from 11 months off. Rebel Empire can give him most to think about, whilst Ice Pop, Flowstate and Canon's House are a trio of newcomers to note.

It may be worth siding with OLIGOPOLY. The form of his first two starts for Joseph O'Brien reads well in the context of this race.

19:05 Ripon Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

In what is likely to be a tactical affair, KARDIA might be allowed an easy time of things on the lead and, given that this C&D holds no fears for Ed Bethell's four-year-old, she may prove tough to peg back. Strawman holds solid claims from his current mark and looks the most likely danger, while handicap debutant Yurinov can follow the pair home.

KARDIA left her reappearance effort in her wake with her usual hood refitted when finishing runner-up at Doncaster 3 weeks ago and Ed Bethell's low-mileage 4-y-o looks a big player with a repeat back at the scene of her sole previous victory. Yurinov rates a likely improver now handicapping and looks the lead threat.

This can go to KARDIA who has won over C&D and who may enjoy the run of the race out in front.

19:35 Ripon Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ZIGGY'S QUEEN put in a bold display to hit the frame when dropped to this level at Hamilton earlier in the month and the handicapper may have been kind to leave her mark unchanged. Richard Fahey's filly may only need to reproduce that performance in order to get back to winning ways. The main threat may possibly be Cash In, who filled the runner-up spot over C&D last time and could have a say on his handicap now. Moyola is another to consider after his triumph at Hamilton last Wednesday.

MOYOLA found some improvement and ultimately ran out a pretty taking winner over this trip at Hamilton 7 days ago and he's very much of interest turned out quickly under a penalty. Ziggy's Queen and Cash In have wins in them this term and are feared, along with Ticktyboo.

The vote goes to CASH IN who was only just beaten in a C&D novice a fortnight ago. His opening mark of 72 looks workable on that form.

20:05 Ripon Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Organic is aiming to complete a hat-trick in the space of a week for the in-form George Boughey stable after accounting for her nearest rival by over four lengths at Bath last time. However, she may be found out by VOLCANOLOGY in this contest. The daughter of Phoenix Of Spain ran too bad to be true on her nursery debut at Wolverhampton in October and she is worth another chance on her return to turf up in trip, while Dandy's Angel looks the best of the remainder.

ORGANIC has been much improved in handicaps this year and can complete the hat-trick under a double penalty. Love Yours and Do I Dream can follow her home.

Given that she won by over 4l last time a double-penalty may not be enough to stop ORGANIC from completing a quick hat-trick.

20:35 Ripon Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PROTEST RALLY bounced back to form when victorious by over a length in this grade at Musselburgh on his latest outing and turns out under a 5lb penalty. The four-year-old brings the best recent form to this event and may prove hard to beat. The main threat might be Prospect, who wasn't disgraced in fourth at this level at Thirsk earlier in the month and he has to be considered off 2lb lower. Sassy Soprano completes the shortlist.

PROTEST RALLY was well on top come the finish at Musselburgh last week and he remains unexposed at the minimum trip. He can defy a penalty at the main expense of Prospect and Sassy Soprano.

This looks best left to PROTEST RALLY (nap) who won with a bit more in hand than the margin would suggest at Musselburgh six days ago.
