13:45 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having recorded a double at Chelmsford this month, Amaysmont is sure to prove popular in his hat-trick bid. However, the combination of a 4lb penalty and switch to the turf could prove his undoing, with ASADJUMEIRAH edging the vote. The six-year-old's mark continues to tumble and his latest fifth at Doncaster suggests he may be ready to strike off this 2lb lower mark. Odd Socks Havana and Sunny Orange are also noted.

In-form pair AMAYSMONT and Odd Socks Havana probably haven't been done any favours by the draw but are hard to get away from, with Kevin Frost's charge taken to get the hat-trick up. The unexposed Brazen Rascal is interesting on his return.

Rebecca Menzies' course scorer ODD SOCKS HAVANA is taken to quickly resume winning ways on the back of his excellent Newcastle second.

14:15 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JUNGLE LAND lost little in defeat when finding only a smart newcomer too strong in a class 3 maiden at Newcastle last time out. A return to these calmer waters can only help the gelded son of Kodiac and compensation could await. Tourist and Rainwater make the shortlist on all known form, while Cash In showed enough on his debut to suggest that he has a future.

A big field but only a handful of these make any serious appeal, JUNGLE LAND selected to go one better than on both previous outings with better still to come. Rainwater and Tourist could be the dangers.

Karl Burke's son of Kodiac JUNGLE LAND has gone with promise to finish second on both his recent starts and he can go one better now.

14:50 Redcar Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Judged by his fine second in a competitive 21-runner sprint at York recently, veteran DAKOTA GOLD clearly still retains plenty of ability. A 2lb rise in the ratings looks more than fair for that performance and a return to winning ways likely beckons. C&D winner Secret Guest is feared most after a close-up third at Thirsk earlier this month, while Bay Breeze is entitled to build on his fourth-placed seasonal bow at Ripon.

A small field but there's plenty of intrigue, SECRET GUEST selected to notch a fifth career success having ran a cracker when third at Thirsk on return just 9 days ago. Clearly still an interesting sprint handicapper, he can get the better of Dakota Gold, who showed there's still plenty of life left in his 10-y-o legs when finishing runner-up at York earlier this month.

Bryan Smart's SECRET GUEST is able to race off the same mark as when an excellent 3rd at Thirsk and is taken to resume winning ways

15:25 Redcar Maiden (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An encouraging fifth on his debut at Thirsk earlier in the month, JM JHINGREE should come on plenty for that effort and he is narrowly preferred with Jason Hart taking over in the saddle. A half-brother to Group 3 winner Thikriyaat, Hickton is a newcomer worth noting for the Kevin Ryan stable, while similar comments apply to Mrbluesky, who hails from a yard which knows how to ready one.

This could go to a newcomer, with FLY LIBERTY FLY preferred to Hickton and Educating Rita before betting clues. Jm Jhingree is the pick of those with experience with the form of his Thirsk debut run working out.

This can go to JM JHINGREE whose promising fifth of 13 on his Thirsk debut has received a couple of boosts in the meantime.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Now that the penny has finally dropped for LOCHABER after a taking success in a seller at Beverley recently, Karl Burke's charge may be able to follow up back in handicap company. Northerner has shown plenty of ability on both starts this season and she is of interest on her handicap debut, likewise Glory Hyde, was wasn't beaten far over C&D last time out.

LOCHABER has reacted well to cheekpieces and positive tactics the last twice and, having landed a seller at Beverley last time, he's worth a chance to make a successful return to handicaps at the possible expense of Glory Hyde, who arrives in good order. Ticktyboo is another one to consider.

Marginal preference is for SOUTH PARADE who looked to be progressing until fluffing her lines at Wolverhampton and can return in style

16:35 Redcar Handicap (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The Johnston yard has won this three times in the last eight years suggesting Qitaal could go well. Beaten a neck by MAGHLAAK at Goodwood, he is 1lb better off now but the winner was having his first start after a long lay-off and may come on for the run, making him the one to beat. Machete is an interesting French import and one to watch on his first start for David O'Meara.

BYSTANDER hasn't finished improving and shaped well at Newmarket last time, so he's the one to side with returning to a trip that suits. Maghlaak is an obvious threat following his Goodwood success and Qitaal isn't without hope.

Alpha Crucis can go well but MAGHLAAK (nap) should come on for his recent Goodwood win and is still improving.

17:10 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A tricky race to solve but one that may head the way of GOING UNDERGROUND, who is yet to win on the turf but was beaten less than a length at Wetherby off 1lb higher when last seen in June last year. His stable are in among the winners and he could surprise if he is ready to roll after his absence. Irv is an obvious danger after his Wolverhampton victory, while Sameem drops in class and could go close.

It's worth taking a chance on the fitness of SAMEEM, who hasn't made a winning seasonal reappearance subsequent to the 2019 campaign but, unlike several of these, there will be no question marks surrounding him if the ground is on the slow side, as seems likely. The 8-y-o signed off last season on a winning note at Catterick and while that was over 1¾m, he's effective at this trip, too. Irv did the job well at Wolverhampton last month and he is feared most ahead of Life On The Rocks.

Not many of these can be fancied but IRV can win again after taking advantage of a low mark last time. \Eva Rosie\p is second best.
