1st (1) (0.57/1 +54%) Arctic Fly |
0.57/1(+54%) | (1) Arctic Fly 0.57/1, Fair bumper winner who proved too free when midfield in 13-runner mares' event here (16.3f) on latest start in April. However, in excellent hands and no surprise to see her figure on hurdles bow.

|F| (8) (9/1 -29%) Stay Local |
9/1(-29%) | (8) Stay Local 9/1, Fair maiden on the Flat who offered something to work on sent hurdling when sixth in 11-runner Ballinrobe maiden (16.6f) back in August. Creditable third back on Flat at Naas (1m) in April and likely she has more to offer in this sphere.
|U| (4) (80/1 -186%) Just Chelsea |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Out of a sister to County Hurdle winner Arctic Fire, ARCTIC FLY made a winning start in a Leopardstown bumper in March. That has worked out to be relatively ordinary form and she was unable to cut the mustard in Listed/Grade 3 company afterwards but is still a leading contender now switched to hurdles with her yard continuing to send out winners with relentless regularity. Point-to-point winner Bobbisilver caught the eye of the stewards on hurdling debut and then ran well at a big price when fourth in a fairly competitive maiden at Ballinrobe. Bumper winner Stormalong has a mark of 101 in this sphere and was a creditable sixth to a Mullins-trained winner at Limerick. Summertime Romance won over 1m4f and was rated in the high 70s for Marco Botti while Stay Local has been placed in her last three Flat outings and makes her second start over hurdles.
A fair winner on the first of her 3 starts in bumpers, ARTCTIC FLY proved too free on her latest start in that sphere in April. However, she remains the type to do better now switched to timber and in a race lacking depth, it would come as no surprise to see her play a lead role. The Grey Dove and Stay Local can also hit the frame, whilst Tideways Hero and Summertime Romance need monitoring in the betting for clues.
Good bumper mare ARCTIC FLY sets a standard here that her rivals cannot match

1st (6) (0.62/1 +7%) Salvador Ziggy |
0.62/1(+7%) | (6) Salvador Ziggy 0.62/1, Smart hurdler who ran a cracker under top weight when runner-up in Pertemps at Cheltenham (3m) in March. Seemingly not 100% when pulled up in Grade 1 on final start here in April but he's well worth a look now attentions switch to chasing on back of 46 days off. Very interesting recruit to chasing and the one to beat if his jumping holds up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (2.75/1 -38%) Hubrisko |
2.75/1(-38%) | (4) Hubrisko 2.75/1, Useful winner at 17f over hurdles. Third of 7 in novice chase (15/8) at Tipperary (23.8f, soft) on debut over fences 38 days ago, held when mistake last. Forecast quicker conditions here may well help and he's open to improvement in this sphere. Jumped poorly at Tipperary; sure to improve plenty for that and looks the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (4.5/1 +36%) Caesar Rock |
4.5/1(+36%) | (2) Caesar Rock 4.5/1, Fairly useful chaser. 10/1, creditable fifth of 11 in novice chase at Limerick (22.7f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Had plenty of chances in this sphere already but expected to be thereabouts returned to 3m. Two reasonable efforts on his return last month; needs more here but sure to run his race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (28/1 -56%) Riggs |
28/1(-56%) | (5) Riggs 28/1, Fairly useful hurdler. First run since leaving John McConnell when seventh of 9 in minor event hurdle at this course (19.8f, good to soft, 125/1) 46 days ago. Makes chase debut. Back up in trip. Chasing debut here and needs to find improvement but worth watching. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (80/1 -60%) Dukehill |
80/1(-60%) | (3) Dukehill 80/1, Winner in points who offered something to work on when fourth in 12-runner hunter chase at Limerick (22.5f) back in 2021. Arrives here fit from spell between the flags, pulled up last time (Apr 29). One win from 11 point-to-points; makes little appeal in this company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (150/1 -50%) Asatisfiedmind |
150/1(-50%) | (1) Asatisfiedmind 150/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 200/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, seventh of 15 in novice hurdle at Ballinrobe (21.1f, good to soft) 40 days ago. Makes chase debut. Unproven over the trip and up against it on his chase debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SALVADOR ZIGGY initiated a summer hurdling four-timer when landing a maiden at this venue just over a year ago and his standout effort over the smaller obstacles was when chasing home Good Time Jonny in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham. He disappointed in a Grade 1 at the Festival meeting here in April but gets the vote to make a winning start over fences. Hubrisko is rated nearly a stone inferior to the selection over hurdles. He made mistakes when third at Tipperary last month but should have learned plenty from that chasing debut. Caesar Rock was second to the smart Panda Boy over C&D last year and has run two sound races since returning from a winter break. This will be his ninth chase start and he's likely to be ridden forward to try and put that experience to good use.
SALVADOR ZIGGY needs to shrug off a lesser effort over hurdles on his latest outing in April, yet his profile over hurdles prior to that was an upwardly mobile one and he could well be up to playing a lead role now chasing for his powerful yard. Hubrisko should build on his chase debut effort and is feared, as is Caesar Rock, who should appreciate this return to 3m.
The hurdles form of Pertemps Final runner-up SALVADOR ZIGGY sets the standard and he will take beating if he jumps well

1st (7) (7/1 +30%) Arrycan |
7/1(+30%) | (7) Arrycan 7/1, 6/1, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap chase at Kilbeggan (19.4f, good to soft) 7 days ago, going in snatches. Difficult ask here, though. Came home well when fifth in a 2m3f handicap chase at Kilbeggan a week ago; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (3.33/1 +17%) Birchdale |
3.33/1(+17%) | (4) Birchdale 3.33/1, Running well when fell 2 out in handicap chase at Killarney (26f, good to soft, 11/1) 28 days ago, looking sure to be placed. Needs to back it up now. Every chance when falling two out in the Killarney National; should be on the premises. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (6/1 +20%) Pat Coyne |
6/1(+20%) | (5) Pat Coyne 6/1, Three wins from 8 runs last season. 14/1, possibly amiss when pulled up in handicap chase at Killarney (26f, good to soft) 28 days ago. Bounce back is required. Disapointing latest; still has it to prove off this mark and others look more likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (3.33/1 +58%) Clounts Pride |
3.33/1(+58%) | (8) Clounts Pride 3.33/1, 25/1, career best when winning 14-runner novice chase at Limerick (19.7f, good to soft) 17 days ago. The one to beat with very few miles on the clock Very lightly raced for his years and unexposed; could go well despite being 3lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 -17%) Take All |
14/1(-17%) | (2) Take All 14/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2021. Pulled up in handicap chase (14/1) at Kilbeggan (19.1f, good to soft) 30 days ago. Weighted to go well if getting back on track. Touched off in a Limerick handicap in March but well held twice since; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (4/1 +11%) Archies Charm |
4/1(+11%) | (6) Archies Charm 4/1, 4/1, failed to last home when fifth of 13 in handicap chase at Downpatrick (28.6f, heavy) 70 days ago. Back down in trip and needs considering. Well below form at Downpatrick two months ago when Ulster National favourite. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (5/1 +0%) Irascible |
5/1(+0%) | (3) Irascible 5/1, Useful winner at 17f over hurdles. Running well when fell last in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (24.6f, soft, 10/1) 62 days ago. Considered. This trip should suit and has a chance off this mark if he handles the better ground. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
This trip might be a bare minimum for ARCHIES CHARM but, by contrast, 3m4f was too far when he failed to justify favouritism in the Ulster National at his local track of Downpatrick. He's had time to recover from those exertions and his previous two runs against subsequent Cheltenham festival winners were very creditable. Ben Bromley has enjoyed plenty of success across the water and his claim leaves the selection on a lovely racing weight. Birchdale was bang in contention when coming down two out at Killarney. That was over a longer distance but he won a valuable handicap over this trip at Leopardstown last year and is only 1lb higher here. Pat Coyne was pulled up in that Killarney contest but had won over hurdles prior to that and was a dual handicap chase winner on good ground last summer. Take All needs to bounce back from recent efforts but went close at Limerick in March and was a fine second over a bit further here in November.
CLOUNTS PRIDE rates the pick of the weights on the form of his Limerick success and can follow up with very few miles still on the clock. Archies Charm should find this return to a shorter trip in his favour and is next on the list ahead of Irascible, who can bounce back from his late Fairyhouse fall.
The one to beat is BIRCHDALE (nap) who ran well in a big handicap chase over this trip and had every chance when falling at Killarney

16/1(+43%) | (16) Brehon Star 16/1, 18/1, bit below form seventh of 17 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (19f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time over jumps. Worth a market check. Only 1-24 but Limerick last time may have been needed after a break. |

11th (6) (7.5/1 +6%) Maggie Walsh |
7.5/1(+6%) | (6) Maggie Walsh 7.5/1, Improved to win 14-runner handicap hurdle at Tramore (16.8f, good, 6/1) 8 days ago. Quick turnaround isn't ideal but still makes plenty of appeal. Didn't win doing handsprings at Tramore and has gone up 6lb, but at least in form. |

11/1(-57%) | (14) Doyen For A Drink 11/1, Promising individual. 16/1, fourth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (17f, good to soft) 22 days ago, closing all way to line. Likely improver who could be worth chancing. Left maiden form behind to finish a 5l fourth in a 2m1f handicap at Wexford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (8) (25/1 -14%) Attitash |
25/1(-14%) | (8) Attitash 25/1, 40/1, fourth of 13 in handicap hurdle at Down Royal (20.4f, good) 9 days ago. Could get competitive again despite the quick turnaround. Off a reduced mark he ran better at Down Royal (2m4f, good) when just behind Serpolette. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The Sean Doyle-trained IURKASH was an eye-catcher when a never nearer third to Maggie Walsh at Tramore last weekend, and over this longer trip he might be able to reverse the form. While Doyle mostly trains point-to-pointers, he has had plenty of track success in recent years, with Lucky Max and Monbeg Park his flagbearers. Danny Gilligan is a significant jockey booking aboard the selection and he claims a valuable 7lb. A case can be made for many others in this very competitive heat. The aforementioned Maggie Walsh went up just 6lb for her recent win and she could well follow up with Aidan Kelly again on board. Crafty Gael, Serpolette, Emily In Paris and Nasee will all be bidding to go a place better than last time, while top-weight Leish Oscar Son is an interesting contender on his debut for Gavin Cromwell. Brehon Star, Attitash and Depeche Mo are others for the shortlist.
DOYEN FOR A DRINK finished to good effect when fourth at Wexford on handicap debut and, with the longer trip likely to draw further improvement out of her, she gets the vote in a competitive affair. Maggie Walsh and Iurkash are two of several rivals who arrive in good order.
It was little wonder that NASEE couldn't keep tabs on the winner here last time given what Reflectionist then did at Limerick.

Below form sixteenth of 25 in handicap hurdle at this course (19.8f, good to soft, 40/1) 46 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Should come on for his run here at the festival after six months off; others preferred. |

11/1(+8%) | (4) Halsafari 11/1, Thirty five runs since last win in 2019. 18/1, thirteenth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft) 36 days ago. Touched off in handicap hurdle here in November from 7lb higher; would prefer it softer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Beaten by just half a length into second over the course and distance last month, FANCY A COSMO might be able to go a place better now. Placed four times in a row back in 2021, the six-year-old has obviously had setbacks and ran just once throughout last year. With two track wins to her name, Emily Cody takes the ride on the selection for her uncle Ray and she claims a valuable 7lb. Jody Townend is a significant jockey booking on Doctor Churchill, with this Cormac Farrell-trained bay given second preference. He ran a fine race to finish seventh of 25 on his debut for Farrell at the Punchestown Festival, but since failed to make an impact at Cork. Rathnaleen Kal has been in fine form of late and is sure to have plenty of supporters with Maxine O'Sullivan aboard, while recent Wexford runner-up Warm In Gorey and top-weight Mica Malpica are others that warrant respect.
RATHNALEEN KAL arrives on the up and still on a handy mark so looks the way to go in an open handicap. Mica Malpic can have a say if ready to roll after an absence and is next on the list with Wexford runner-up Warm In Gorey also in the mix.
Her recent Clonmel win and Limerick third gives RATHNALEEN KAL an excellent chance and she is likely to take some beating

|PU| (13) (22/1 -38%) Croi Corcra |
22/1(-38%) | (13) Croi Corcra 22/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, pulled up in novice hurdle (25/1) at Tramore (21f, good), weakening between 3 out and 2 out. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
This looks a good opportunity for EASY FELLA to finally get off the mark. The son of Yeats has been a bit frustrating to follow but ran arguably his best race to date when second to What Path at Tipperary, with that one since giving the form a boost by following up at Kilbeggan. Rated 112, the selection will be ridden by capable claimer Niall Moore who takes a valuable 7lb off. The Willie Mullins-trained Naruto is given second preference. He won what looked an ordinary bumper at Killarney on his most recent outing and starts off over flights now. Getaway Charlie has some strong pieces of form to his name and had two subsequent winners in behind when second to Corbetts Cross in a bumper at Cork in October. While disappointing on his most recent starts, the Tim Doyle trained seven-year-old might be able to make an impact in a contest of this quality. Ebenezer Scrooge, Champagnesocialist and point-to-point winner Croi Corcra are others for the shortlist.
Not so competitive as the numbers suggest. NARUTO looked a decent prospect when landing a Killarney bumper last month and can make a winning start in this sphere for his top yard. Easy Fella remains a maiden after seven attempts but still has the form to play a part along with Champagnesocialist who also is firmly in the mix if back to her best.
Naruto is of obvious interest as a bumper winner for his top stable but EASY FELLA has the benefit of hurdling experience.

40/1(-21%) | (11) Ounce Of Gold 40/1, Fifth of 13 in novice hurdle at Tipperary (24f, good, 200/1) 24 days ago, would have benefited from stronger handling. Makes handicap hurdle debut and interesting what the market makes of him here. The signs were a little more encouraging in a 3m maiden at Tipperary last time. |

3rd (7) (18/1 +18%) Country Queen |
18/1(+18%) | (7) Country Queen 18/1, Latest win in hurdle at Kilbeggan in September. Twelfth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (20f, good, 25/1) 98 days ago. Stable in good form. Won a bumper and Kilbeggan maiden hurdle on good ground last summer; possible improver. |

5th (10) (1.5/1 +50%) Hanoi Jane |
1.5/1(+50%) | (10) Hanoi Jane 1.5/1, Promising individual. 15/8, confirmed promise of her reappearance when landing 16-runner handicap hurdle at this course (19.4f, good to soft) 19 days ago, readily. Up in trip. Has to be taken seriously. Up 8lb but looks progressive and there's stamina in her pedigree. |

6th (4) (22/1 -38%) Slige Dala |
22/1(-38%) | (4) Slige Dala 22/1, 12/1, first run since leaving Gordon Elliott when fourth of 13 in claiming hurdle at this course (19.4f, good to soft) 19 days ago, faring best of those held up. Back up in trip. Didn't last long with Gordon Elliott and was well beaten in a claimer last time. |

7th (9) (7/1 -27%) Say It Ain't So |
7/1(-27%) | (9) Say It Ain't So 7/1, Fairly useful winner at 20f in chases. Career best when winning 9-runner handicap chase (18/1) at Ballinrobe (17f, good to soft) 40 days ago, just holding on. Not ruled out in this groove from lower hurdles mark. Unproven over this far but lightly raced as a hurdler and well handicapped. |

8th (6) (12/1 +57%) Barbary Master |
12/1(+57%) | (6) Barbary Master 12/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2020. Blinkered for 1st time, fell in novice hurdle at Downpatrick (18.8f, good to soft, 12/1) 23 days ago, behind when falling last. Needs to bounce back. Bumper winner; placed over hurdles but recent form is not so encouraging. |

9th (5) (14/1 +0%) Wa Wa |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Wa Wa 14/1, Latest win in hurdle at Leopardstown in March. 18/1, fourteenth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Haydock (24.3f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Others more persuasive. 14lb higher than for the last of his wins and has form has just dropped off. |

|PU| (1) (12/1 +45%) Macgiloney |
12/1(+45%) | (1) Macgiloney 12/1, Resumed winning ways at Listowel (3m) in September. Lightly raced since and caught the eye to a degree when sixth in 16-runner handicap at Kilbeggan (24.2f) 4 weeks ago. One to keep an eye now operating from last winning mark. Multiple winner who should be on a fair mark and returning to good ground will benefit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
It might be worth taking a chance on COUNTRY QUEEN. Twice successful last year, her recent efforts have been disappointing. However, she should be suited by this step up in trip, with a return to quick ground also likely to aid her cause. Gordon Elliott trains the selection and is also represented by Jumping Jet, who is sure to have plenty of supporters on what will be her handicap debut. The hat-trick seeking Miss Tempo is the one to beat on form. She impressively made all on her return from a lengthy absence at Naas in March and she followed up in style at Tipperary, when stepping up in trip. Hanoi Jane and Say It Ain't So are other recent winners in the line-up, with the former of definite interest. Rated 97 and with Shane O'Callaghan claiming 7lb, she will carry a featherweight of nine stone eight. Another at the bottom of the handicap is Ounce Of Gold. He caught the eye when making late gains at Tipperary and it'll be interesting to see how he fares now.
HANOI JANE marked herself down as one to keep firmly onside when impressively opening her account over shorter here 3 weeks ago and she looks a player back up in trip with the prospect of more to come. Miss Tempo is another mare on the up and she's feared most, ahead of Jumping Jet.
Ted Walsh's HANOI JANE has perked up for the fitting of a tongue-tie and won comfortably here last time.

The Willie Mullins-trained FOUR CLEAN ACES should prove hard to beat, as she bids to follow up on her narrow debut success at Tipperary. The form of that race has since been boosted by runner-up World Of Fortunes and fifth place finisher Mousey Brown. They both claimed Wexford bumpers last month, with the former particularly impressive in what looked a decent contest. The selection is out of a seven-time winning sister to Royal Alphabet, who was successful eight times for Mullins, with his biggest triumph coming in Grade 2 company over flights. Dark Image and Final Decision are the other winners in the line-up, with the Derek O'Connor ridden latter given second preference. Newcomers Avakate and Cladagh Pearl warrant respect coming from the yards of Andy Slattery and Sam Curling.
FOUR CLEAN ACES showed a good attitude when making a winning start at Tipperary 54 days ago and is firmly expected to go in again. Fellow winner Final Decision is the main danger and Dark Image should compete for a place.
She made her backers sweat at Tipperary but FOUR CLEAN ACES at least showed a good attitude to get the job done
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
