LTO Selection:

13:55 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ROYAL MER shaped well for most of the race on his first run back since having a wind operation when second at Hereford last month and looks sure to make his presence felt in what looks an open contest on paper. Gary Moore runners always merit plenty of respect here and he is double handed with Abingworth and San Pedro De Senam. The latter has run with credit on both outings this year and may pose the biggest threat to the selection.

WATCHOUTITSCOOKIE is now going the right way from his basement mark and there should be more races to be won with him. Gary Moore can boast a tremendous record here and his pair Abingworth and San Pedro de Senam are feared most.

The unexposed BELGARUM can gain a first win on just his sixth career start.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HECTOR JAGUEN arrives here on the back of a comprehensive victory at Fontwell on Tuesday. The six-year-old has a 7lb penalty for that success and is likely to take all the beating, providing the quick turnaround doesn't inconvenience him. Extraordinary Man is having his first run back since wind surgery and could be fairly handicapped if that aids his cause. Mordred bounced back to form when third at Southwell last time and is respected.

With a return to a left-handed track likely to suit it might be worth chancing AGENT SAONOIS to make a winning return from a break for the Neil Mulholland team. Last week's Fontwell scorer Hector Jaguen rates an obvious threat, while Mordred also merits respect on the back of his Southwell third.

With this track likely to suit, AGENT SAONOIS is taken to gain a first chasing success.

LTO Selection:

15:05 Plumpton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HIGHLAND FROLIC was thrown into a very competitive event at Musselburgh just over a fortnight ago and, despite finishing seventh on that occasion, he looks to have been found the ideal opportunity to open his account over hurdles. The Tom Lacey-trained Tune In A Box was strong in the market when fourth on debut in a bumper at Taunton and improvement is likely, while another worth consideration is Iskar D'airy, who was a creditable fourth here in February.

Having made the frame 3 times over hurdles, HIGHLAND FROLIC sets the standard in this line-up and he can open his account now in maiden company. Iskar d'Airy could be the main danger back down in trip, ahead of Happy Boy who showed promise at this C&D on his latest start.

This might be the chance for HIGHLAND FROLIC to gain an overdue win.

LTO Selection:

15:40 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A convincing winner at Huntingdon last time out, course winner NORTHERN POET looks just the type to improve for stepping up in trip. A 3lb rise for that success looks manageable and he may have too much for the likes of Pawpaw, who won decisively at Hereford last month, and Hiway One O Three. The latter has done well since going over fences and is another that has potential over further.

HIWAY ONE O THREE came good at the third time of asking over fences at Market Rasen in February, and having lacked a bit of zip under a penalty at Leicester a week later, he's fancied to regain the winning thread stepped significantly up in distance. The main danger could be Northern Poet, who ultimately justified support but was never travelling well when scoring at Huntingdon last time. Pawpaw can fill out third spot.

In the expectation that the longer trip will suit, HIWAY ONE O THREE is selected.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

AUCUNRISQUE may have won this contest last year off 14lb lower, but there is every reason to suggest he can do so again if bouncing back to the form that saw him make all to claim success in the Betfair Hurdle. Chris Gordon's charge has a terrific strike rate over the smaller obstacles, and he is narrowly preferred to recent Ascot winner Blueking D'oroux, who has a 7lb penalty to shoulder, and the capable Teddy Blue.

AUCUNRISQUE gives more than a stone away to all but one of his rivals but he holds a significant class edge in this field and the nature of this tight Plumpton track should see him to good effect from the front. Blueking d'Oroux belatedly proved why he held a good reputation at Ascot last week and he's highly respected under a penalty, whilst Luttrell Lad was an eye-catcher in the County Hurdle and should win races for the Lacey yard.

After a storming run at Cheltenham, LUTTRELL LAD (nap) can win this good prize.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

LOVE IS GOLDEN has taken to hurdling well and was unchallenged when making all to score by an impressive 39 lengths over an extended 2m at Newbury last month. The five-year-old must be of significant interest switching to handicapping for the first time in this sphere. He does have to shoulder top-weight, though, so El Muchacho can give him plenty to think about dropping in class from his latest run. Tightenourbelts is another to bear in mind on his handicap debut.

LOVE IS GOLDEN has taken well to hurdling and, having doubled his tally in ready fashion at Newbury last time, he looks potentially well treated off an opening mark of 125. Tightenourbelts is open to improvement and Bold Reaction also looks the type to do better now handicapping.

There's no shortage of interest in this field but topweight LOVE IS GOLDEN could be the one to side with in his first handicap hurdle.

(5) Ramore Will 6.5/1, Four-time course winner who recorded back-to-back chase victories at Lingfield this winter. Showed nothing back from 12 weeks off here last month but could be closer to form back down in trip now.

(4) Dindin 7.5/1, Has had a busy season and resumed winning ways in a race that panned out well for him at Wincanton (20f) 5 weeks ago. 3 lb rise fair (won off 100 in September) but this is tougher.

(3) Doyannie 1.62/1, Ridden with a bit more patience when off the mark in 17f handicap here in February from The Cathal Don, but absolutely chucked it away in her follow-up bid at Taunton, going like the best horse at the weights but idling markedly as soon as she hit the front. Blinkers the new headgear of choice now.

(1) The Cathal Don 1.75/1, Winner of a Tipperary maiden chase for Henry de Bromhead in July 2021. Little show for Seamus Mullins last season but subject of market support and showed a lot more starting out for new yard when 2¾ lengths second to Doyannie here (17f) 6 weeks ago. Big player if building on that up in trip.

(6) Conceal 8/1, Sent off 50/1 when scoring over fences for new yard in October. Backed that up with a creditable third at Uttoxeter next time but finished well held at Huntingdon (19.9f, soft) on Boxing Day. Freshened up since.
LTO Selection:

17:25 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A case can be made for several of these, but the vote goes to DOYANNIE, who was only narrowly denied over 2m at Taunton last month. Ben Godfrey negates all of the mare's 3lb rise for that run, with his claim being the same amount, and she must command respect in first-time blinkers, having scored here on her penultimate start. The Cathal Don, who was runner-up to the selection when last seen, and Dindin rate her most serious dangers.

THE CATHAL DON is very well handicapped on his best Irish form and could be capable of reversing placings with Doyannie after a promising return behind her here 6 weeks ago. He should stay this longer trip and makes a lot more appeal than his old rival who threw away her chance since at Taunton. Ramore Will can never be dismissed around here.

Blinkers could see DOYANNIE repeat her course win from February.
