|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() Hasten Slowly |
10/1(-233%) | (3) Hasten Slowly 10/1, Ground probably too testing down the field in a handicap over 9f at Gowran Park most recent; up in trip; progressive in Ireland last autumn; minor chance Ground too soft on the Flat last week; good chance if bringing her best form. |

300/1(-20%) | (4) Just Winging It 300/1, Did not get a clear run well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Newcastle latest; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; all to do Unlikely to be good enough, no matter what effect the cheekpieces have. |

|PU| (10) ![]() Tommy's Promise |
80/1(-21%) | (10) Tommy's Promise 80/1, No worthwhile form in either code; not proven trip; all to do Tailed off in three novices on the Flat (7f-1m) and was pulled up on switch to hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) ![]() Split Stone |
300/1(-275%) | (7) Split Stone 300/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Musselburgh latest; off a short-break; difficult to fancy Low-level form in a bumper and three hurdles; highly likely to be outclassed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SPADESTEP, who was snapped up for 50,000 pounds after winning his sole point-to-point start, looks a bright prospect for the Lucinda Russell yard after a close second-placed finish to a highly progressive rival on his Rules/hurdles debut in a similar race at Carlisle last month. As a half-brother to multiple jumps winner Tommy's Oscar, there could be an awful lot more to come from this unexposed six-year-old. Junker D'allier, Hasten Slowly and Byron Hill are the likeliest candidates to fill the frame behind the selection.
Junker d'Allier might well bounce back with his sights lowered but conceding 12lb to the promising SPADESTEP will be challenging.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (12) ![]() Clonguile Way |
150/1(-50%) | (12) Clonguile Way 150/1, Fell in a handicap chase over 4m at Hexham latest; regressive prior bit to find Regressive veteran and 125-1 when departing early at Hexham last time; opposable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
JACKS PARROT made a successful trip to Perth on the corresponding card 12 months ago and the versatile six-year-old could make a triumphant return if building on his notable third in the Devon National at Exeter most recently. With the potential to improve over marathon distances, the versatile six-year-old has strong credentials off just 1lb higher. Last-time-out winner Mt Fugi Park represents a yard that does well with stayers and is another must for consideration, while the hat-trick seeking Fairlawn Flyer can give a good account from the foot of the handicap.
Loads with chances but the back-to-form FAIRLAWN FLYER won't lie down easily with Sean Bowen doing the driving.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|PU| (2) ![]() President Scottie |
9/2(+0%) | (2) President Scottie 9/2, Looked unenthusiastic 5 1/2l third in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Carlisle most recent run; consistent if a touch frustrating; major player back down in trip Placed on all four starts over fences this season, latest at Carlisle; each-way chance. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Peter Bowen, Lucinda Russell and Nicky Richards have all trained recent winners of this race and the likes of Olivers Travels, Wal Buck's and President Scottie all command respect on the basis of the correct groundwork having been completed. However, Nigel Twiston-Davies could scupper those plans if a wind operation is a source of improvement for the still low-mileage HIGH TREASON. The lightly-raced six-year-old has won over hurdles from this rating and can provide a bit of value, with his rider's 5lb claim a notable asset in what appears to be a wide-open renewal.
Although below par last time HEARD THAT had previously been a good second at Market Rasen and can win his third chase of the season.

1st (7) ![]() Coco Mademoiselle |
6/5(+52%) | (7) Coco Mademoiselle 6/5, Unseated in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Cheltenham latest when looked huge threat; well treated if turned out quickly; can make amends Going well when unseating three out at Cheltenham last week; may well make amends. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Statuario |
17/2(+47%) | (4) Statuario 17/2, Below par 11l third in a handicap chase at Huntingdon most recent run; should come on for that; loves it here; usually held up; threat off reduced mark Below best lately but won two in a row over C&D last May/June; could be worth second look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Annsam |
16/1(-33%) | (3) Annsam 16/1, Made too much use of 10l third in a handicap chase at Ludlow most recent run; has dropped to attractive mark; of interest if rain arrives Edging down the weights and some fair form this year; but needs something extra today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) ![]() Cerendipity |
4/1(+33%) | (6) Cerendipity 4/1, Well backed when scored by 3/4l off 122 over 2m7f at Newcastle penultimate start; third beaten 12l off 123 last time; up in trip; stamina concerns 2m7f win at Newcastle two starts ago and might not be far away now back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) ![]() Whistle Stop Tour |
8/1(-220%) | (2) Whistle Stop Tour 8/1, Pulled up in Ultima Handicap Chase over 3m1f at Cheltenham latest when well fancied; progressive prior; probably bit to come down in grade Has had excuses the last twice; could be on a good mark if things click again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) ![]() Ganapathi |
7/1(-8%) | (8) Ganapathi 7/1, Looked unenthusiastic beaten a head off 115 over 2m7f at Kelso last time; significant jockey booking; thrown in on old form; chance but stamina and enthusiasm concerns Has run really well when second on last three starts; every chance he'll be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) ![]() Anglers Crag |
12/1(-50%) | (5) Anglers Crag 12/1, Pulled up in Midlands Grand National over 4m2f at Uttoxeter latest; usually held up; down in trip; wants easier ground Has had a patchy campaign but he's not ruled out now back down in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) ![]() Gold Cup Bailly |
28/1(-56%) | (1) Gold Cup Bailly 28/1, Probably outclassed comfortably held in Albert Bartlett Prestige Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Haydock last time; visor first time; bit to find and wants easier ground Showed spark as recently as January but best form has come on soft/heavy going. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
WHISTLE STOP TOUR failed to fire in the Ultima at Cheltenham last time but it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form in this company and Lucinda Russell's seven-year-old is very hard to oppose. Ganapathi has been running well in defeat of late and he could make the frame once again, while similar comments apply to Annsam.
The novice WHISTLE STOP TOUR (nap) could have plenty more to offer as a staying prospect. Coco Mademoiselle is a big danger.

18/1(+28%) | (7) Theme Tune 18/1, Below par beaten 9l in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Kelso last time where distance looked too sharp; up in trip; well treated on old form; very interesting Fair fifth at Kelso in February on his second start back from a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) ![]() North Parade |
18/1(-64%) | (8) North Parade 18/1, Did not get a clear run fourth beaten 4l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wetherby latest; up in trip; off a short-break; has dropped a long way in weights; could run well Good final run over 2m3f last time and this far could eke out further improvement. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) ![]() Flower Of Scotland |
40/1(-43%) | (11) Flower Of Scotland 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Carlisle latest; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; regressive Out of form last season and no sign of turning things around this campaign. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
FELICIE DU MAQUIS arrives here on the back of two wins and a 7lb penalty for the most recent of those victories may not be enough to stop her from making it a hat-trick. Guard The Moon was out of his depth in the Pertemps Final last time but could go well in a race of this nature, while Kilbarry Hill edges out Jem In Em to be best of the rest.
This is open but GUARD THE MOON could be very interesting if rediscovering his early-season form.

80/1(+0%) | (11) Foreva Alfie 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Doncaster latest; cheekpieces first time; trainer in form; not proven trip; off a short-break; bit to find 7yo with only five races behind him but was pulled up at 33-1 on handicap debut in January. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
TRAMUNTANA took a big step forward on his handicap bow to score at Huntingdon in February and may have lots more to offer over this distance. Olly Murphy's six-year-old only has a 5lb higher rating to contend with and is aided by the services of Sean Bowen this time around. Scorsese justified favouritism in ready fashion at Sedgefield last month and holds an obvious chance, despite being 10lb higher. Of the remainder, Aire Spray makes the most appeal.
Strong in the market when winning with plenty to spare at Sedgefield, the ex-Irish SCORSESE is taken to defy a 10lb rise.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Tree Top Tyson finished second between the flags in March last year before changing hands for 30,000 pounds and the booking of Brian Hughes catches the eye on his first start under Rules. Even so, WILSTAR looks the way to go. The five-year-old was an expensive purchase and showed lots of promise when finishing third on his first bumper outing at Warwick. He may only need to find minimal improvement to get off the mark. Sanilam completes the shortlist.
250,000euros purchase WILSTAR is a half-brother to Douvan and Jonbon and is open to improvement on his second start.
Ths is the racecard key.
