LTO Selection:

18:25 Nottingham Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Ivy Avenue appeared to face interference when leaving the stalls at Leicester last month and she can make her presence felt if getting away on level terms here. However, NINE ELMS retains the same mark following a fair third over a mile at Wetherby last month and is taken to make a winning start for Kevin Frost now stepping up in trip. Longuerue looks the pick of the remainder following some mixed efforts in France.

Mick Appleby got back among the winners the other day so it might be worth siding with IVY AVENUE, who is well handicapped if a return to firmer ground helps her recapture anything like the pick of her Irish form. Course-specialist Nine Elms is the obvious threat.

The safest option looks to be four-time course winner NINE ELMS and he can make a winning start for his new yard.

(4) Twilight Jazz 50/1, Modest filly. Remains a maiden after 8 Flat runs. 11/2, sixth of 7 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) in January, losing place 2f out. Absent since and she's hard to fancy on these terms back in maiden company.
Runner-up twice in low-grade AW events in January; hard to recommend at this level.
LTO Selection:

18:55 Nottingham Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ARDAD'S GREAT was only denied by three-quarters of a length over this trip at Windsor last time out and the three-year-old sets the standard in an otherwise weak contest. She was placed at Listed level in Ireland last summer and rates the one to beat based on that. Havana Pusey kept on for second over an extended 5f at Brighton earlier this month and is feared most, while Catwalk Model completes the shortlist.

ARDAD'S GREAT produced a promising comeback run when runner-up on yard debut at Windsor and a repeat could well be enough to see her get off the mark here. Havana Pusey, who offered plenty to work on when second on debut at Brighton recently may emerge as the chief threat. Newcomers Minack and Mother Mary demand a check in the betting for positive vibes.

Ardad's Great sets a useful standard but MINACK is bred to be useful and could be worth chancing on debut.

LTO Selection:

19:25 Nottingham Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

This represents a considerable drop in class for MERESIDE DIVA, who finished a very creditable fourth at Hamilton on her latest outing earlier this month. She retains the mark from that run and merits respect with that in mind, but the unexposed Al Muzn makes both his handicap and turf bow and remains of interest for powerful connections. Recent all-weather winner Protest Rally adds further spice to the race.

Despite not looking the finished article, PROTEST RALLY improved on his exploits in novice/maiden company to make a winning handicap debut at Southwell 3 weeks ago and, with further progress on the cards, he gets the vote to defy a 4 lb higher mark back on turf. Roger Varian's handicap debutant Al Muzn and Mereside Diva eased in grade head up the dangers.

Protest Rally brings recent winning form but MERESIDE DIVA has been threatening and this is weaker than last time.

LTO Selection:

19:55 Nottingham Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BERT KIBBLER is competitively weighted in comparison to his all-weather rating and is given a chance to atone for a tepid display at Wetherby a fortnight ago. It's noteworthy that the gelding was well supported in the betting that day and the relatively quick reappearance does suggest all is well. He's 2lb lower than his last wining mark and is dangerous to underestimate getting weight from the rest. Laheg looks the best of the rest, with Blind Beggar also respected.

MAJESKI MAN was better than ever when an all-the-way winner at Beverley a fortnight ago and might be able to defy a small rise. Laheg didn't fare too badly down at 5f for the first time in a Hamilton Class 3 recently and might be the one to give the selection most to think about if reacting positively to first-time blinkers.

All five runners have claims but there was a lot to like about MAJESKI MAN (nap)'s finishing effort last time and he can follow up.

LTO Selection:

20:25 Nottingham Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Vitralite (third) and BOBBY DASSLER (fourth) are closely-matched judged on their encounter at Bath earlier this month and they look the duo to concentrate on. The first-named has thrived since he returned to these shores to race for Sean Woods and again looks set for another bold showing. However, Bobby Dassler was short of room at a crucial stage in that contest and, now 4lb better off with that rival, he can reverse the form. Marayel and Eleven Eleven also make the shortlist.

VITRALITE can continue his run of good form since joining Sean Woods and gain a third win in his last 4 starts. Bobby Dassler wasn't too far behind the selection at Bath last time and is second choice ahead of Silver Screen, who might have had her stamina stretched over 1¼m on her reappearance and went close off this mark last autumn.

Bobby Dassler and Vitralite are respected but BACK FROM DUBAI may be able to make a winning stable debut.

LTO Selection:

21:00 Nottingham Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

All of these have questions to answer, not least Pound Off You, who hasn't seen action under either code for 594 days, while Flat-race maidens Lechro and Manyana make limited appeal and are hard to recommend. With all of this in mind, it could pay to side with SUGAR CANDIE, who is open to improvement at the trip and could be set alight by the first-time cheekpieces. Sicario rates the chief threat, while the selection's stablemate, Affair, makes some appeal at the weights.

A poor staying handicap that can go to SUGAR CANDIE if she can build on her Salisbury reappearance now fitted with cheekpieces. An effort at Brighton this time last year suggests she has a race in her if all is well. Sicario could be the danger.

There are risks attached with LECHRO but she's on a dangerous mark and the addition of headgear could revive her fortunes.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
