|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

2/1(+64%) | (2) Match Play 2/1, Raced freely beaten 7l in a handicap over 6f at Newcastle last time; generally out of form; down in trip, a big plus; faltered over 6f recently but better expected back at minimum, player Headstrong; has been suited by this trip on quick ground; could bounce back to form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Northerner |
16/1(-60%) | (6) Northerner 16/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; in good form prior; bit to prove off a layoff 0-9; runner-up three times and these conditions should be fine, but unappealing on return. |

6th (7) ![]() Dash Gordon |
16/1(-113%) | (7) Dash Gordon 16/1, Yard won this last year; raced freely down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; top course trainer; lost way a bit recently, switch to turf probably not the answer Disappointing latest but could be competitive from lowly mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) ![]() Bama Lama |
25/1(-213%) | (4) Bama Lama 25/1, Weak in the market beaten 3l off 59 at Bath last time; contender if fit for return Seven-time winner; goes on all sorts of ground but conceding race-fitness to most of these. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Back to form with a promising runner-up effort at Southwell last time out, BETWEENTHESTICKS could be primed to strike off a mark 17lb lower than his career high in what looks like a winnable contest. Placed on each of his last four outings, Sergeant Mayer is likely to be thereabouts again, along with Bama Lama, who has strong claims on her success at Windsor back in October.
A small-field, low-level sprint handicap but a few to consider, with a chance taken on MATCH PLAY.

15/2(-50%) | (2) Nightbird 15/2, Well backed beaten 3 1/4l off 75 at Kempton last time; trainer in form; may need the run but form threat Fair ability on AW/turf last year without progressing; potentially still has more to give. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Now that the penny has dropped for STAR ZIA after a comfortable success at Wolverhampton in February, she is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and the daughter of Havana Grey can follow up on her handicap debut off what appears a workable mark. Narrowly denied on each of his last two starts at Newcastle, Frankies Dream is a key player, as is Mr Cool, who wasn't beaten far at Wolverhampton.
There's no standout in this but maybe MR COOL can come good, preferred to the reappearing Nightbird, who still has some potential.

9/4(-29%) | (5) Toby Tops 9/4, Ideally suited by trip when landed handicap by 1 1/2l off 53 at Southwell last time; significant jockey booking; 2m ideal; serious threat if replicating AW fom on turf Strong late run to win at Southwell last time; big chance if handling different surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Fashionelle |
4/1(+38%) | (4) Fashionelle 4/1, Looked to want further fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap over 1m6f at Wolverhampton latest; not proven trip, likely to be a stretch; contender if seeing out trip Finished a place behind Incan Empire when fourth latest start; makes turf debut on Flat. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() Incan Empire |
9/4(+25%) | (3) Incan Empire 9/4, Ran to form beaten 3l off 61 over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last time; up in trip, has to prove suitability; decent prospects if staying the trip Lightly raced 4yo; creditable third at Wolverhampton latest start; chance. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
TOBY TOPS was well on top at the finish when breaking through at Southwell and a 3lb rise for that victory may not be enough to prevent him from going in again, with Billy Loughnane a positive booking in the saddle. Incan Empire continues to improve as he goes up in trip and is a big danger on his first go at 2m. Captain Potter remains nicely treated compared to his hurdles mark.
The surface is a slight concern but otherwise TOBY TOPS has plenty in his favour and can follow up his recent Southwell success.

1st (3) ![]() Secret Theory |
5/4(+29%) | (3) Secret Theory 5/4, Head winner in a juvenile maiden over 7f at Newmarket on debut; hood first time; travelled strongly and should suit the step up in trip as a 3yo; looks the pick from powerful yard Has high-class pedigree; won useful 7f Newmarket maiden on debut in October. |

15/8(+6%) | (4) Archivist 15/8, Ran to form second beaten 2 1/2l by a subsequent Listed winner in a maiden here last season; second three times as a 2yo but no question about attitude, quicker ground a slight concern Useful form in finishing runner-up on final three starts last year, including C&D maiden. |

18/1(+10%) | (5) Mister Winston 18/1, Beaten 6l in a valuable maiden at Doncaster on debut last season; highly tried on that start and not beaten far, acts on the ground, outside chance Finished down the field in 1m Doncaster maiden on sole start last year (50-1). |

4th (1) ![]() Hornsea Bay |
5/1(+17%) | (1) Hornsea Bay 5/1, Odds-on second beaten a neck in a novice at Ayr on second start last season; won on debut so goes well fresh, acts on the ground, suits trip, contender Useful form in two 1m Ayr novices last year including a win; should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) ![]() Run With It |
14/1(-133%) | (2) Run With It 14/1, Had benefited for debut experience when won a Southwell maiden by a head last time; trainer in form; squeak up in class Just fair form in winning 1m AW Southwell maiden on second start, but can improve. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
Hornsea Bay made a good impression when scoring on debut at Ayr and then arguably bettered that performance under a penalty when touched off at the same venue. He appears to have a bright future, but it may pay to side with SECRET THEORY. Charlie Appleby's colt is a half-brother to the stable's Grade 1 winner Mysterious Night and struck at the first time of asking at Newmarket in the autumn. Archivist isn't out of it on his first appearance for William Haggas.
A good, interesting novice in which Derby entry ARCHIVIST might be tough to beat, getting weight, even facing some good prospects.

Time Tells All signed off his campaign with a fair third at Chester in June last year and it will be interesting to see how he fares on his return to the fray. However, RISEN AGAIN has match fitness on his side and looks the way to go. The four-year-old appreciated the application of first-time blinkers when hitting the woodwork at Lingfield and can go one better. Covert Legend may also have a say.
Time Tells All holds claims but BOBACIOUS (nap) is taken to step forward from his recent stable debut and gain a third win.

3rd (6) ![]() Whizz By |
10/3(+17%) | (6) Whizz By 10/3, Raced freely beaten a length off 68 over 7f at Kempton last time; up in trip; showed improvement since on AW but handles turf; sets a fair standard on recent form Progressive in modest handicaps on the AW up to this trip including three wins. |

4th (3) ![]() Graduated |
6/1(+50%) | (3) Graduated 6/1, Ran to form beaten 2 1/4l off 71 over 7f at Kempton last time; up in trip; may need the run but fair claims if ready Didn't progress after winning 7f Epsom fillies' maiden last summer; off since October. |

5th (2) ![]() Sands Of Indi |
16/1(-33%) | (2) Sands Of Indi 16/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a nursery at Newcastle last time; not proven trip; early maiden form offers hope but bit to prove Didn't progress after finishing runner-up on first two starts last year, but may do better. |

6th (7) ![]() Hot Like Me |

7th (1) ![]() The New Bay Pearl |
4/1(-33%) | (1) The New Bay Pearl 4/1, Ran to form second beaten 3/4l in a novice over 7f at Southwell latest; up in trip; off a short-break; on fair opening mark; contender if taking to turf Three 7f AW starts, finishing second in maiden/novices on last two goes; still potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) ![]() Hock Eye The Noo |
6/1(-71%) | (8) Hock Eye The Noo 6/1, Ideally suited by trip when scored by 2l off 57 over 9f at Wolverhampton penultimate start; second beaten a head off 63 last time; sole turf outing (on soft) poor but a threat on AW form Has a win and a second from two starts in Class 6 AW handicaps around this trip this year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
THE NEW BAY PEARL has acquitted herself with credit when runner-up on her last couple of outings and an opening mark of 72 looks workable. Roger Varian's filly is a potential improver now tackling further than 7f for the first time and a breakthrough victory could be in the offing. Hock Eye The Noo arrives on the back of a close-up second at Newcastle and she's feared most, ahead of the consistent Whizz By.
A few to consider and HOT LIKE ME, who faced some talented rivals last year, may be worth chancing on this drop in class/rise in trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Having posted a good second in a 21-runner affair at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting, MR JETMAN makes plenty of appeal. That was the five-year-old's second outing under the tutelage of Seb Spencer and his turn looks imminent. Fifty Sent justified favouritism at Southwell and a 2lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Venus Slipper is also in form after so nearly completing a Lingfield brace.
A chance is taken on EDVARD GRIEG who was runner-up off 12lb higher over C&D last August. Mr Jetman can follow him home.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
