Many of these would need to improve on what they've shown so far, and that could pave the way for WALK OF THE ROSES to make a successful return. The Fontwell bumper winner was far from disgraced when second under a penalty at Uttoxeter in June, but she can improve now sent hurdling. Cindysox finished a creditable third at Huntingdon on her hurdles bow last month and she is the main danger, while Hurst Hill completes the shortlist.
A weak mares' novice that can go the way of WALK OF THE ROSES, who made a promising start to her career in a couple of bumpers 12 months ago and can make the perfect start in this sphere provided she's ready to roll. Cindysox looks the most obvious danger following her recent third at Huntingdon on hurdling debut, with sole 4-y-o My Mate Polly rounding off the shortlist.
Preference is for CINDYSOX after her third at Huntingdon. She's by Kayf Tara and out of a Listed-winning hurdler.

JUNIPER finished a decent third at Cheltenham when attempting to complete a hat-trick last month. The forecast slower ground should be in her favour here, as is the drop in class, and with cheekpieces applied for the first-time, she could find a bit more. Champagne Court has been knocking on the door in recent starts and must enter the reckoning, along with the largely consistent Investment Manager.
JUNIPER might be 10 but she's better than ever of late, again impressing with her jumping despite being unable to complete the hat-trick at Cheltenham last month. Cheekpieces go on and she's just about the most persuasive option, ahead of Champagne Court and Investment Manager.
Perhaps the safest play is INVESTMENT MANAGER (nap) who could run around here with his eyes shut.

Coconut Twist was a commanding winner of a Larkhill point-to-point in January and he merits respect on his first start for the Daisy Hitchins team, but a chance is taken on HOLD YOUR FORT. A multiple winner between the flags, he shaped as if in need of the outing when fifth over hurdles on the back of an absence 22 days ago. Chasing ought to be more his bag and it would be no surprise were he to step forward. I Shut That D'or is also noted.
COCONUT TWIST was running well in defeat last season, bumping into an improving type at Southwell when last seen under Rules, and having won a point since he is taken to make a winning chase debut. Hold Your Fort is also a winning pointer and is feared most as he goes chasing, ahead of I Shut That d'Or.
A chance is taken on BELGARUM after wind surgery. His mark is very tempting on the pick of his hurdle form.

With precious little recent winning form on offer, it may pay to side with MONJULES with Megan Bevan claiming a valuable 7lb. With four wins over hurdles and a good Plumpton second last November to his name, the six-year-old failed to see out the trip last time out and has been found a more suitable contest. Trump Lady in entitled to improve for her first run in over two years when eighth at Warwick and could follow the selection home, leaving Silver Shade as next best.
None of these arrive in any sort of form, but MONJULES possesses the most encouraging overall profile and could be the way to go over Caspers Court.
All of these have questions to answer but MONJULES did at least have an excuse last time and he nearly won three starts back.

No Getaway won this contest last year by nearly eight lengths and he arrives here after a third last time out at Kempton, leaving him with more to do. He meets runner-up Duc De Bourbon on the same terms, while YCCS PORTOCERVO won that Kempton event comfortably after a fine display of jumping and looks set to confirm the form.
PHOENIX WAY was still capable of useful form at the beginning of 2023 and is taken to make a winning start to his hunter career. Yccs Portocervo can confirm recent Kempton superiority over Duc de Bourbon and No Getaway, who won this 12 months ago, and give the selection most to think about.
This largely revolves around whether former smart handicapper PHOENIX WAY still fancies the challenge after his period out of action.

Another 6lb from the handicapper may not stop him from securing a hat-trick. Hillsin is an obvious danger if he improves on his second start after wind-surgery but top-weight looks an anchor, while Timeforarum could surprise a few on his handicap debut over what may prove to be his ideal trip.
OUR DYLAN is in a resurgent mood and remains well handicapped, so he's fancied to land the hat-trick for all that this looks quite competitive for the grade. Mr Zee and Culligran arrive on the back of improved efforts and both merit plenty of respect.
