18:03 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Biniorella Bay and WATHBAH have met before, with Tom Clover's youngster faring best when runner-up at Lingfield. While there are undoubtedly races in her, the suspicion is that her Archie Watson-trained rival has the more scope for improvement because she also ran green when fifth on that introduction and might derive a little bit extra benefit from it. Bintabuha is one of the first progeny of Ghaiyyath to hit the track and this 140,000gns yearling commands attention on debut.

A tricky opener to solve despite the small field but the vote goes to BINIORELLA BAY, who found just one too strong on debut at Lingfield recently and is entitled to build on that initial effort. Wathbah was a few places behind the selection that day and she may emerge as the main danger ahead of Theatrically, who has experience on her side and could improve for this step up in trip.

Both Biniorella Bay and WATHBAH needed the experience on debut and preference for the Watson filly is only marginal.

18:35 Newmarket Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GLOBAL ASSET was fancied to build on a narrow handicap-debut defeat at Windsor, only to spread a plate at the start at Newbury last week. Rerouted here, he can confirm that comeback promise, although Berkshire Nugget won't make it easy for him, for all that he has been a bit costly to follow. Great Chieftain got closest to a subsequent winner at Nottingham, while Marmaduke Lemon and Sheila's Paradise are interesting newcomers to handicaps.

GLOBAL ASSET resumed with an excellent Windsor second and can go one better now and open his account at the chief expense of Great Chieftain, who also arrives on the back of a good runner-up finish at Nottingham. Berkshire Nugget and Sheila's Paradise also need factoring in.

The progressive GLOBAL ASSET (nap) can defy a 3lb rise at the expense of Great Chieftain. Sheila's Paradise can go well too.

Should be happier round here given a second try over this longer trip; expect better.

19:10 Newmarket Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MIDNIGHT GUN took a big step forward when upped to an extended mile for his turf debut at Nottingham, staying on strongly to break his duck. The runner-up has since gone one better, while the four-length third made the frame off a mark of 87 at the Derby meeting, so an initial figure of 88 may be a lenient one for Ed Walker's colt. Mythical Guest has won two out of three this campaign, although this distance is on the short side. Borgi is well treated compared to his all-weather rating so is worth a look.

MIDNIGHT GUN boasts a smashing pedigree and took a step forward switched to turf when a cosy winner of a Nottingham novice 6 weeks ago. The type to go on progressing in handicaps, he makes plenty of appeal on just his fourth start. Mythical Guest, who is 2-3 this campaign, is next best down in trip, ahead of Speeding Bullet and Makeen.

Impressive on his turf debut last month, MIDNIGHT GUN remains open to further improvement. Speeding Bullet is second choice.

19:45 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Penalised runners are likely to come to the fore here, and it is RHETORICAL that shades preference. William Haggas' colt defeated a subsequent winner in comfortable fashion on his debut over this trip at Newbury and natural improvement might suffice with that in mind. More Thunder had excuses at Windsor, but he made no mistake at Nottingham next time and it is hard to see him being out of the picture today, under similar conditions. Burrito is related to a host of smart types, most notably stablemate Epictetus, and he is worth a market check.

RHETORICAL looked a smart prospect when easily seeing off a subsequent winner on debut at Newbury 5 weeks ago and can make it 2-2 before having his sights raised. This has the look of a good contest for the grade though, with fellow last-time-out winners Specialisation, More Thunder and Ciro di Marzio all likely to improve also.

The well-related Burrito is interesting but he'll need to be above-average if he's to see off impressive Newbury winner RHETORICAL.

20:20 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Runner-up on the Rowley Mile last month, REBAATT was able to record a bloodless success at Chester one week ago and appears the one to beat under a 6lb penalty. That said, Chaturanga proved well suited by the step up to 10 furlongs when winning at Newcastle last time out and he should have more to offer. Southwell maiden winner Big Zou does not look overburdened by an opening mark of 78 and he is worth a second look following a 168-day absence.

REBAATT well and truly confirmed previous promise when running out an emphatic winner at Chester 7 days ago and he should prove very tough to beat under a penalty. Big Zou and Chaturanga are the lead threats.

This is all about REBAATT, who looks fast on the upgrade and is 8lb well-in under the penalty. The unexposed Big Zou is next best.

20:55 Newmarket Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WONDER KID is officially 5lb well in under his penalty, having bolted up at Newbury eight days ago. The unexposed Belardo gelding can continue his ascendency today, while the main threat could come from Sir Galahad. Both efforts since switching to handicaps would suggest he can be competitive once again and similar comments apply to Maritime Lady, though a bit more will be required for win purposes.

WONDER KID proved an all-round improved model as he made a winning return/handicap debut over this trip at Newbury 8 days ago without looking the finished article and he looks the one to side with under a penalty with the prospect of more to come. Sir Galahad and Livinthelife are others fancied to be in the mix.

5lb well-in under the penalty, WONDER KID is clearly the one to beat. Normandy Vista may prove the main danger.
