1st (8) (1.5/1 +25%) Robusto |
1.5/1(+25%) | (8) Robusto 1.5/1, 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Lingfield in July. 9/2, creditable third of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (12f, AW) 21 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Player, Only 2l away over this far at Lingfield last time and likely to be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (20/1 -186%) Mrs Meader |
20/1(-186%) | (5) Mrs Meader 20/1, Fifth of 6 in handicap (9/4) at Newbury (10f, good to soft) 46 days ago. Back up in trip. Had been in good order prior to latest effort, so every chance she can bounce back. Won three last year; has never defied this high a mark and 0-7 on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (14/1 +30%) Khilwafy |
14/1(+30%) | (2) Khilwafy 14/1, Course winner. 40/1, last of 10 in handicap at this course (10.2f) 44 days ago, inadequate test. Up in trip. Has fallen to a workable mark. Has been very quiet in two runs on either side of an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (10/1 +29%) Gastronomy |
10/1(+29%) | (3) Gastronomy 10/1, 20/1, last of 9 in handicap at York (11.8f, good) 44 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Needs to bounce back after a short break. Hadn't been running badly prior to struggling in a Class 4 at York. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (5.5/1 +0%) Golden Delite |
5.5/1(+0%) | (4) Golden Delite 5.5/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 4/1, first run since leaving Jane Chapple-Hyam when fourth of 6 in maiden at Ffos Las (10f, soft) 17 days ago. Up in trip. Tongue strap on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. One good run; still early days and tongue-tie fitted for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (66/1 -100%) Tigerten |
66/1(-100%) | (9) Tigerten 66/1, Twelfth of 14 in handicap (100/1) at Southwell (12.1f) 14 days ago, missing break. Doesn't make much appeal. Defied a higher mark for former stable but doesn't look in much form at the minute. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (20/1 -43%) Sense Of Worth |
20/1(-43%) | (1) Sense Of Worth 20/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2021. 40/1, first run since leaving Lee Carter when last of 10 in handicap at Beverley (8.4f, soft) 15 days ago. Something to prove but return to AW should help. Joined current connections for only 2,200gns and at 40-1 he was last at Beverley. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (1.88/1 +32%) Krona |
1.88/1(+32%) | (6) Krona 1.88/1, 2 wins from 5 runs this year. Creditable fourth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f, 3/1) 9 days ago. One to consider. Dual winner and Wolverhampton last week never went to plan. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
GOLDEN DELITE didn't make the impact expected on his first start for Mick Appleby at Ffos Las having been purchased for 130,000gns at Tattersalls July after his second at Newmarket. A repeat of that effort on the July Course would make him a tough nut to crack on his handicap debut here, though. Robusto produced a solid effort to finish third at Lingfield and is respected along with Krona.
ROBUSTO has been in good order and this doesn't look as competitive as the race he finished third in at Lingfield last time, so he's worth chancing on tapeta debut. Fellow 3yo Krona looks the main threat and Mrs Meader is expected to be back on her game.
Dual winner KRONA had a wide trip throughout before staying on too late in the day at Wolverhampton last week.

1st (7) (5.5/1 +15%) Spirit Of Ash |
5.5/1(+15%) | (7) Spirit Of Ash 5.5/1, Unreliable type. C&D winner. 15/2, again looked hard ride when fourth of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (12.1f, good to soft) 28 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Capable of going well but comes with risks attached. Sole attempt at Newcastle resulted in June success; remains unexposed on this surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6.5/1 +13%) Balqaa |
6.5/1(+13%) | (2) Balqaa 6.5/1, C&D winner. 10/1, creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, good) 11 days ago, not ideally placed. Significantly back up in trip. Chance if able to scale a further revival. Both wins at Newcastle, the latest off this mark last September; interesting back here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (14/1 +30%) Chinese Whisperer |
14/1(+30%) | (8) Chinese Whisperer 14/1, Little show in 2 outings this year after returning from near 2-year absence. Can't be fancied. Has achieved little in two runs since returning from lengthy absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (33/1 -230%) Dome Of Stars |
33/1(-230%) | (10) Dome Of Stars 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 33/1, last of 3 in minor event at Yarmouth (10.1f, good to firm) 26 days ago. With leading yard, so could do better on handicap debut, for all there's been no promise so far. Holds weak claims on form but may do better now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (11/1 +31%) Two Rivers |
11/1(+31%) | (11) Two Rivers 11/1, Unreliable individual. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, sixth of 8 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good to firm, 6/1) 25 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Difficult ask. 3yo maiden who has possibilities if this switch to AW prompts improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (5/1 +33%) Ana Emaraaty |
5/1(+33%) | (13) Ana Emaraaty 5/1, Step back in right direction when sixth of 14 in handicap at this C&D 27 days ago but others are more persuasive in balance. 3yo maiden; ran respectably in two C&D events last month; still unexposed on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 +12%) Casa Luna |
22/1(+12%) | (5) Casa Luna 22/1, Remains a maiden after 11 Flat runs. 16/1 seventh of 8 in handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Others more persuasive. Still a maiden but sole start under Hollie Doyle resulted in peak RPR; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (5.5/1 +0%) Ice Shadow |
5.5/1(+0%) | (1) Ice Shadow 5.5/1, Winner at Nottingham in July. 11/2, went off too hard when fifth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (9.9f, soft) 15 days ago. Worth treating as if still in form and isn't ruled out. Front-runner of late; chance would improve granted an easy lead and suitable fractions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (22/1 -38%) Coconut Bay |
22/1(-38%) | (6) Coconut Bay 22/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Last of 13 in handicap (12/1) at Ripon (9.8f, good) 14 days ago, going off too hard. Hood back on. Place claims if able to get back to best. 0-9 for current stable; chance partly depends on whether the reapplied hood works. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (20/1 -300%) Irv |
20/1(-300%) | (3) Irv 20/1, Close second at Nottingham in July. 9/2, below form sixth of 8 in handicap at Ripon (9.8f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Player if able to bounce back from career-low mark. Rarely wins (just one success since 2019) and was below par here on last AW attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (12/1 -71%) Zakram |
12/1(-71%) | (12) Zakram 12/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. Shaped as if back in form when seventh of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f, 7/1) 10 days ago, left poorly placed. Not taken lightly. Well treated on 2yo form; current mark reflects his lesser achievements in 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (3.5/1 +71%) Calcutta Dream |
3.5/1(+71%) | (4) Calcutta Dream 3.5/1, C&D winner. Best effort this season when second at Yarmouth in July. Below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Ripon (9.8f, good, 22/1) 14 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Combination of new headgear and return to Newcastle may prompt a good run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (9) (50/1 -150%) Tarnhelm |
50/1(-150%) | (9) Tarnhelm 50/1, Three wins from 79 Flat runs. 33/1, ninth of 11 in handicap at Musselburgh (8f, good to firm) 12 days ago, very slowly away. Back up in trip. Plenty to find on form. Far from consistent in recent times and losing spell goes back over three years. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (40/1 -21%) Stelios |
40/1(-21%) | (14) Stelios 40/1, Placed at Beverley in June but has shown little in 4 outings since. Makes limited appeal. Maiden who needs a big revival back on AW. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SPIRIT OF ASH's only career victory to date came over C&D in June and the drop back in trip following her recent effort at Hamilton, combined with the tongue-tie being reapplied, may help her bounce back to form. Ice Shadow is better than his latest performance at Beverley suggests and the four-year-old is capable of a decent showing, while Calcutta Dream and Irv appeal most of the remainder.
Top-weight ICE SHADOW was given an overly aggressive ride at Beverley last month but had been in good form prior, including when scoring at Nottingham, so Alan Brown's gelding makes most appeal. Irv appeals as being potentially well treated and also merits respect, with the lightly-weighted Zakram another to consider.
Preference is for SPIRIT OF ASH, who won a similar event here on her sole Tapeta start. Balqaa is second choice.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (4/1 +20%) Speed Court |
4/1(+20%) | (6) Speed Court 4/1, Thrice-raced colt. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, third of 11 in minor event at Yarmouth (7f, good, 125/1) 15 days ago. Improved 15 days ago at Yarmouth when 5l behind the highly progressive Lambert. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

18/1(+64%) | (3) Pearl Sands 18/1, Twice-raced gelding. 50/1, sixth of 8 in maiden at Musselburgh (7.2f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Beaten just over 10l in his two starts to date and looks one for handicaps. |

Dam 8.3f winner who stayed 1½m. 12,000gns yearling and a half-sister to classy dual-purpose performer Stratum. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MIASWELL ran with a fair amount of promise when filling the runner-up spot at Thirsk and the son of Gleneagles has been found a suitable opportunity to go one better. Chiefman was no match for a potentially smart type at Ffos Las and the step up in trip is likely to aid his cause, while Speed Court and newcomer Amasar can fight it out for the minor honours.
MIASWELL shaped nicely on debut and should have enough progress in him to account for this opposition. That said, Speed Court is quite closely matched with the selection in form terms and Placeholder looks a notable newcomer for a shrewd yard, so it's by no means a formality.
Experience may count here. SPEED COURT, Miaswell and Chiefman were all beaten by good prospects on their latest starts.

12/1(-118%) | (6) Hooray For Hazel 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 12/1, promised more than she delivered when sixth of 11 in nursery at Catterick (6f, good) 3 weeks ago. Makes tapeta debut. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Has to be shortlisted. First-time headgear and switch to AW are possible sources of improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (12/1 +40%) Balmanzor |
12/1(+40%) | (10) Balmanzor 12/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 8 in minor event at Leicester (7f, good to firm, 300/1) 29 days ago. Makes handicap debut and has been gelded since last seen. Combination of gelding operation and switch to nursery level may help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(-75%) | (4) My Lady Samantha 14/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 250/1, ridden with an eye on the future when twelfth of 16 in maiden at Newbury (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Makes handicap debut. Likely has a more realistic task on nursery debut; may well improve. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (18/1 -13%) Miss Rainstorm |
18/1(-13%) | (11) Miss Rainstorm 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Showed little again when eighth of 10 in nursery (18/1) at Doncaster (6f, heavy) 37 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Not entirely disgraced on penultimate run; the rest of her form is unconvincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (3/1 +54%) Desert Raider |
3/1(+54%) | (3) Desert Raider 3/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, sixth of 7 in minor event at Chester (6.1f, soft) 59 days ago. Makes handicap debut and certainly worth a second look in the betting. Bred to do better; may start to progress now qualified for a mark; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (7.5/1 +6%) Tees Warrior |
7.5/1(+6%) | (5) Tees Warrior 7.5/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, sixth of 13 in maiden at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) 26 days ago. May do better now handicapping. Open to improvement now handicapping and back down in trip; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (12/1 +25%) Wichahpi |
12/1(+25%) | (9) Wichahpi 12/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, sixth of 7 in minor event at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) 9 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Related to several winners for her stable; may improve markedly on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
LADY OF THE GARR has shown a bit of promise since joining the Tracy Waggott team and she must hold every chance if building upon decent efforts over C&D and at Catterick. The daughter of Mehmas remains open to improvement and she gets the vote ahead of Hooray For Hazel and Polly The Rocket, who could be dangerous for an in-form yard.
The market will no doubt prove informative with the majority making their handicap bow, but the tentative vote goes to HOORAY FOR HAZEL, who promised more than she delivered on her first start in a nursery at Catterick 3 weeks ago but now has first-time cheekpieces applied for her all-weather debut. Polly The Rocket, My Lady Samantha and Havana Prince are just a handful of others worth considering.
In a tricky nursery, the suggestion is POLLY THE ROCKET ahead of Tees Warrior.

2nd (4) (4/1 +11%) Hidden Code |
4/1(+11%) | (4) Hidden Code 4/1, 9/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Musselburgh (9f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Needs this return to maiden company to spark a revival. Exposed sort but has a fighting chance granted a return to his best form. |

3rd (3) (0.5/1 +50%) Dream Final |
0.5/1(+50%) | (3) Dream Final 0.5/1, Thrice-raced gelding. 40/1, showed improved form when third of 7 in minor event at this course (7.1f), well positioned. Off 8 months. Blinkers on 1st time. Lots to like for an in-form yard. Solid third at this course when last seen; leading contender on return from absence. |

4th (1) (18/1 +64%) Muddagent |
18/1(+64%) | (1) Muddagent 18/1, 100/1 and hooded, showed nothing when seventh of 8 in minor event at Redcar (8f, good to soft) on debut 11 months ago, slowly away. Will need to leave that effort miles behind. Absent since an unpromising debut 11 months ago. |

5th (5) (12/1 -200%) Aurora Glory |
12/1(-200%) | (5) Aurora Glory 12/1, Ran poorly after a 7-week break when eleventh of 12 in handicap (28/1) at Catterick (6f, good) 12 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Not dismissed if back somewhere near her Redcar third in June. Comparatively exposed but the new trip may have positive effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 -100%) Jamie's Choice |
28/1(-100%) | (6) Jamie's Choice 28/1, Peace Envoy filly. Half-sister to winner abroad by Footstepsinthesand. Dam, 1m winner, sister to useful 9.4f-1½m winner Curly out of unraced dam of National Stakes/Phoenix Stakes winner Danehill Dancer. Market check advised. Starts off at an ordinary level but her yard isn't associated with winning newcomers. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The step up in trip can work the oracle for DREAM FINAL as he tries to improve upon a pair of creditable efforts here over shorter. The form of his stable is another plus and, in first-time blinkers, he might have too much for Aurora Glory, who may be a maiden after 11 starts but surely has a race in her. Hidden Code has the form to get involved in proceedings as well.
In a contest that is unlikely to take much winning, DREAM FINAL gets the verdict to make a winning return after 8 months off with first-time blinkers applied for his in-form yard. Aurora Glory and Hidden Code can chase the selection home in that order.
Hidden Code and Aurora Glory are two of the main form contenders but the much less exposed DREAM FINAL is more appealing.

7.5/1(-50%) | (9) Blackcurrent 7.5/1, Five-time course winner. Again ran creditably when second of 13 in handicap (11/2) at Southwell (6.1f) 14 days ago. Sound place claims again. Placed twice at Southwell since returning from break; 5-15 at Newcastle; solid chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (3.5/1 +53%) Mumcat |
3.5/1(+53%) | (5) Mumcat 3.5/1, One win from 32 Flat runs. Twenty seven runs since last win in 2022. 3/1, bit below form fifth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Running reasonably prior to last effort, so isn't discounted. Record at this course (24225) suggests she'll pick up prize-money. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +43%) Magic Gem |
4/1(+43%) | (4) Magic Gem 4/1, Failed to complete hat-trick when eighth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 9/2) 48 days ago. First run for yard after leaving David C. Griffiths. 50/1(-150%) | (6) Frank The Spark 50/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fifth of 8 in minor event at Ripon (5f, good to soft, 80/1) 35 days ago. More required on handicap debut. Brother to a four-time winner for his connections; interesting on handicap debut. |

7.5/1(-67%) | (1) Show Compassion 7.5/1, Winner at Wolverhampton in July. 5/1, returned to form when third of 10 in handicap at that course (6.1f) 24 days ago. Enters calculations. Likely player provided she transfers her Wolverhampton form back to Newcastle. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (3.5/1 +0%) Laertes |
3.5/1(+0%) | (8) Laertes 3.5/1, Well backed on first run since leaving Michael & David Easterby when fifth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (5f) 11 days ago, finishing well having been left poorly placed. Has good chance on pick of form and yard does well with new recruits. Interesting off a reduced mark on second run for new yard; step back up to 6f is a plus. |

125/1(-150%) | (12) Henery Hawk 125/1, Modest performer for David & Nicola Barron but has shown nothing for current yard. Maiden; form for current yard is far from compelling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (40/1 -150%) Fircombe Hall |
40/1(-150%) | (3) Fircombe Hall 40/1, Three-time C&D winner but hasn't been seen since July 2022 and market check advised on return from lengthy absence. Three-time C&D scorer off this sort of mark; absent for 14 months. |

10th (10) (66/1 -100%) Mutabaahy |
66/1(-100%) | (10) Mutabaahy 66/1, Course winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in May but hasn't made much impact in 3 outings since, so others make more appeal. Easily his best strike-rate is at Wolverhampton; only 1-26 here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (10/1 +17%) Dresden Green |
10/1(+17%) | (14) Dresden Green 10/1, Best effort this season when sixth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) 14 days ago but likely needs a couple of these to falter if he's to build on that. Maiden; record suggests he's not certain to back up latest effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (7.5/1 -7%) Mai Alward |
7.5/1(-7%) | (7) Mai Alward 7.5/1, Looked hesistant when third here on penultimate outing and raced too freely when sixth of 9 in handicap at Musselburgh (7.2f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Ran well over 7f here two starts ago; sole win came at 6f; shortlisted. |

13th (13) (80/1 -60%) Holly Blackmore |
80/1(-60%) | (13) Holly Blackmore 80/1, First run since leaving David O'Meara when sixteenth of 18 in handicap at Redcar (6f, good to firm, 125/1) 16 days ago, slowly away. Hard to fancy. Made the frame in first two handicap attempts; not in same form since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
LAERTES showed enough on his stable debut at Chelmsford to suggest that he has slipped to a reasonable mark, and going back up in distance could be the key to him breaking his maiden at the 12th attempt. A winner at Wolverhampton in July, Show Compassion is a key player, along with Blackcurrent, who has placed at Southwell on his last two starts. Others to note include Magic Gem and Mumcat.
LAERTES had little go right when well backed on his stable debut last time and Mick Appleby's gelding is very much worth another chance, now 8 lb lower than when second at Chelmsford in the spring. Show Compassion chased home a prominently-ridden pair at Wolverhampton on her latest outing and rates as the main danger, with Blackcurrent and Mumcat others to consider.
Off a reduced mark back over 6f, LAERTES may be able to open his account. Mai Alward is second choice.

9th (2) (20/1 +20%) Churchill Bay |
20/1(+20%) | (2) Churchill Bay 20/1, Remains a maiden after 20 Flat runs. Form has gone the wrong way this year, tenth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (18/1) 39 days ago. Has enough to prove at present. Close third over C&D in March when fully 16lb higher; however, he's struggled since. |

12th (14) (100/1 -100%) The White Elephant |
100/1(-100%) | (14) The White Elephant 100/1, Little solid form, eleventh of 13 in minor event at Doncaster (7f, heavy) when last seen in April. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
NAZCA is two out of two since returning to the all-weather, with the latest of those victories coming at Wolverhampton by a neck, for which he has been raised 4lb. The four-year-old could continue his recent progression to record a treble. The main threat might be Noble Captain, who made the frame at Southwell and looks sure to go well once more off 1lb lower. Of the remainder, Eyes makes the most appeal after her fifth at Yarmouth.
LUPSET FLOSSY POP produced her best effort of the season when third at Southwell a fortnight ago and, having won off an 11 lb higher mark at this C&D last year, she could be ready to return to winning ways. Nazca arrives bidding for a hat-trick and isn't taken lightly, with Deputise completing the shortlist.
The drop to sprinting has worked a treat for NAZCA (nap), who can make it 3-3 over 6f. Zegos Surprise is second choice.

20/1(-100%) | (11) Phoenix Star 20/1, C&D winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2022. After 4 months off, never involved when eleventh of 12 in handicap (33/1) at Southwell (6.1f) 2 weeks ago. Can be thereabouts once more. Return to AW poses a question but major player if transferring good recent turf form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(+33%) | (3) Lady Celia 4/1, Course winner who scored on second outing for current connections at Nottingham in July. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (6/1 +33%) Urban Dandy |
6/1(+33%) | (6) Urban Dandy 6/1, Two wins from 5 runs this year, latest success at this C&D in March. After 5 months off, tenth of 11 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good, 40/1) 15 days ago. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (16/1 +60%) Fai Fai |
16/1(+60%) | (9) Fai Fai 16/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2021. Again finished down the field when eleventh of 14 in handicap (50/1) at this course (6f) 39 days ago. Fair run over C&D in May and he's now 10lb lower, but he has a regressive profile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (40/1 -186%) Jailhouse Rock |
40/1(-186%) | (10) Jailhouse Rock 40/1, Never a threat in 3 starts so far, last of 6 in maiden at Ripon (6f, good, 50/1) 82 days ago. Much more required as he makes handicap debut. Has shown some ability and he's one to watch in the betting off lowly mark on h'cap debut. |

25/1(+24%) | (4) So Sleepy 25/1, With blinkers and tongue strap on for 1st time, fared no better than of late when last of 8 in handicap at Bath (5f, good to firm, 33/1) 19 days ago. Has failed to beat a rival since her debut success. Lightly raced 3yo who won on debut in August 2022 but has achieved very little since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
This looks like an open contest and a tentative vote goes to LATIN FIVE, who ran well from an awkward draw for fourth at Beverley. If the son of Camacho can transfer that level of form to the all-weather, he should have a big shout. Glorious Rio (second) had Aconcagua Mountain (third) just behind on his penultimate start at Ayr and he is fancied to confirm those placings, even on 1lb worse terms.
GLORIOUS RIO has been heading back in the right direction of late and he can build on his recent placed efforts to land a fourth C&D success. He is taken to get the better of the consistent Latin Five, while Lady Celia has been in good heart for her current yard and is another to consider.
The return to Tapeta is a likely positive for URBAN DANDY and he earns the vote ahead of the in-form Glorious Rio.
Ths is the racecard key.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
