![]() Spirit Of Murray |
(5) 50/1(-52%) | (5) Spirit Of Murray 50/1, Well held in minor events at York and Pontefract last year. Has been gelded. Two heavy defeats as a 2yo; gelded since; bred to do much better at some point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (6) ![]() Warrant Holder |
11/10(+41%) | (6) Warrant Holder 11/10, Frankel colt. Brother to 1½m winner High Order and half-brother to 1¼m winner Portfolio and winner up to 1¼m Educator. Showed plenty to work on when second of 7 in maiden at this course (1m) 6 weeks ago, leaving the impression he'd have benefit from a stronger gallop. Up in trip and should improve. Promising second (markedly green) over 1m here six weeks ago; should stay well; big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) ![]() Rahiebb |
8/11(-36%) | (1) Rahiebb 8/11, Frankel colt who overcame considerable greenness to make a winning debut in 1m novice at this course (1m) 15 days ago, forging clear. Sure to be suited by 1¼m+ and type to make major progress. 13-2 for debut here 15 days ago where he overcame evident inexperience to win easily. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() City Landscape |
50/1(-213%) | (3) City Landscape 50/1, Went backwards from debut upped in trip when seventh of 10 in novice at Southwell (11.1f) 22 days ago. Failed to build on debut promise here (1m) when upped to 1m3f at Southwell last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Big Take |
150/1(-355%) | (2) Big Take 150/1, Failed to progress from debut when seventh of 11 in maiden at Kempton (12f, 14/1) 17 days ago. Modest form in two AW runs in recent weeks (9.5f/1m4f); improvement required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) ![]() Jedhi Knight |
250/1(-150%) | (4) Jedhi Knight 250/1, Bred to stay well and went with little immediate encouragement in Southwell novice (11.1f) on debut 22 days ago. 125-1 and finished well held on last month's Southwell debut (1m3f); hard to fancy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
WARRANT HOLDER warmed to the task nicely when introduced over a mile here last month and, although he was beaten a head on the day, this longer trip could help the son of Frankel put the experience to good use. The similarly-bred Rahiebb accounted for the winner of that race when scoring here 15 days ago, but may be vulnerable under a penalty with an additional two furlongs to travel. The rest appear a modest bunch, although Spirit Of Murray, who cost 250,000gns as a yearling, is at least a potential improver.
RAHIEBB and Warrant Holder easily stand out in this field following promising debuts. The former did well to overcome considerable greenness here just over a fortnight ago and is taken to defy a penalty with major progress on the cards, not least with the step up to 1¼m sure to suit.
Rahiebb did well to win so decisively on debut but he has to concede 7lb to another promising son of Frankel in WARRANT HOLDER.

1st (5) ![]() Cusack |
9/2(+55%) | (5) Cusack 9/2, 7-time course winner. Latest win here in January. Fifth of 7 in handicap at this course (8f, 9/1) 21 days ago, unable to sustain effort. 7-time course winner, the latest in January (1m) off 1lb lower; more needed to take this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Pallas Lord |
10/3(+39%) | (4) Pallas Lord 10/3, 4-time C&D winner. Five wins from 16 runs last year. Latest win here in March. 2/1, good head second of 6 to Broken Spear in handicap at this C&D 10 days ago, rallying. Can make presence felt again. Just held by Broken Spear over C&D ten days ago when bidding for a hat-trick; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) ![]() Broken Spear |
4/1(+33%) | (8) Broken Spear 4/1, 11/4, won 6-runner handicap at this C&D 10 days ago by head from Pallas Lord, just holding on. Has good chance on form. In good form after a break this month, beating Pallas Lord over C&D latest; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) ![]() Too Much |
9/2(-29%) | (1) Too Much 9/2, 4/1, improved on recent efforts to win 7-runner handicap at this C&D 10 days ago. Scored in good style that day so needs considering up 5 lb. Came from well back to win a C&D handicap in good style ten days ago; this tougher up 5lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) ![]() Bellagio Man |
11/1(+39%) | (9) Bellagio Man 11/1, Course winner. Sixth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f, 11/1) 18 days ago, never nearer. All wins for this yard at 6f but was a 7f winner in Ireland; in fair form; not dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Trais Fluors |
7/1(+42%) | (6) Trais Fluors 7/1, 4-time course winner. Respectable third of 7 in handicap (6/1) at this course (8f) 10 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Three course wins last year; the harder they go early the better for this veteran. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) ![]() Code Purple |
17/2(-6%) | (3) Code Purple 17/2, C&D winner. Pulled up in novice hurdle (66/1) at Sedgefield (16.8f, soft) 55 days ago. Fair on the Flat, good on last Flat outing. Others more persuasive. Several good efforts on turf last season; recent hurdle runs modest but this more suitable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) ![]() Wait And Hope |
40/1(-82%) | (7) Wait And Hope 40/1, Fair at best but well held all 3 starts for this yard. Off 6 months. 1m winner for Karl Burke; well held in three runs for this yard last year; risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The three horses drawn nearest to the stands-side rail could be the ones to focus on, with CODE PURPLE narrowly preferred over course specialists Cusack and Pallas Lord. As a previous C&D winner, the selection reverts to the Flat over an ideal trip and rekindles the partnership with Paul Mulrennan from a still-workable mark at this level. The aforementioned Cusack is feared most with the drop back in trip a potential source of improvement.
TOO MUCH ran out an authoritative winner over C&D 10 days ago so can defy a 5 lb rise at the main expense of in-form veterans Broken Spear and Pallas Lord, who were first and second on the same card.
A competitive handicap in which TEA SEA can gain compensation for an unlucky run at Kempton 17 days ago. Code Purple is next best.

(3) 22/1(+33%) | (3) Another Bungle 22/1, Twice-raced gelding. Seventh of 10 in novice at Southwell (5f, 66/1). Off 149 days. Up in trip. Hint of promise on turf debut but well held at Southwell when last seen; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (5) ![]() Lorna B |
28/1(+44%) | (5) Lorna B 28/1, Shaman filly. Half-sister to useful 6f-1m winner Archduke Ferdinand. Twelfth of 16 in maiden at Doncaster (7f, soft, 66/1) on debut, merely passing beaten rivals. Off 148 days. Never dangerous when 66-1 for turf debut in October; half-brother has done well for yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Inns Of Fear |
8/13(+15%) | (2) Inns Of Fear 8/13, Twice-raced colt. Second of 11 in maiden (10/3) at Dundalk (8f). Off 106 days. Back down in trip. First run for yard after leaving Mark Fahey. Tongue strap on 1st time. Form choice. Two promising runs in Ireland last year; sold for 40,000gns in January; now tongue tied. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Double Parked |
15/2(+85%) | (1) Double Parked 15/2, Twice-raced gelding. Eighth of 9 in novice (33/1) at Pontefract (6f, good to firm). Off 6 months. Modest form in two 6f turf runs last September; handicaps more suitable after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) ![]() Rift Valley |
7/2(+22%) | (6) Rift Valley 7/2, Left debut form well behind when third of 9 in a 6f novice at Chelmsford. Unsuited by drop in trip next time. Off 6 months. Can make presence felt. Ran well for 3rd in her one AW run as a 2yo; 5f too sharp when last seen; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) ![]() Sharon Curly |
11/1(-175%) | (8) Sharon Curly 11/1, Clear signs of ability both starts, still green when third of 5 in maiden over C&D 21 days ago, slowly away. Open to improvement. Two encouraging efforts over C&D this year; should continue to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) ![]() Highfield Artist |
40/1(-21%) | (4) Highfield Artist 40/1, €21,000 yearling, €38,000 2-y-o, Sands of Mali filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 2-y-o 5f-6.5f winner Andhesontherun and 6f winner Prince of Bel Lir. Seventh of 9 in novice (22/1) at this C&D on debut 58 days ago. Dropped right away over C&D on debut in January; bred to do better at some point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) ![]() Queen Dinah |
33/1(-230%) | (7) Queen Dinah 33/1, Thrice-raced filly. 7/1, last of 4 in novice at this course (7.1f) 35 days ago. BHA-rated just 58 after her three runs thus far; improvement a must to win a maiden. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
INNS OF FEAR, who sports a first-time tongue-tie, showed promise in two starts in Ireland last year and could be worth chancing from a handy drawn as he bids to make a winning start for new connections. From the other side of the starting stalls, Sharon Curly is a potential improver who can figure if gaining some cover, while Rift Valley has a similar profile to the selection in that she is open to progression and cannot be ruled out on her Tapeta debut.
INNS OF FEAR showed plenty when placed in 2 maidens in Ireland and can make a winning start for connections. Sharon Curly was clearly still in need of the experience when third over C&D 3 weeks ago and is feared most ahead of Rift Valley, who found 5f too sharp for her last time.
George Boughey looks to have found a golden opportunity for INNS OF FEAR to make a winning stable debut. Sharon Curly is next best.

Makes handicap debut and will need to raise her game if she's to take a hand in the finish. Rank outsider for all 3 starts, hinting at ability over C&D; this is her best chance yet. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (6) ![]() Miakoda |
6/1(-33%) | (6) Miakoda 6/1, 17/2 and tongue strap on for 1st time, respectable third of 9 in handicap at this course (8f) 12 days ago, slowly away. One to consider. Maiden; best form at sprint trips; vulnerable for this yard and similar story here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(+57%) | (11) I Can Boogy 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Eighth of 10 in handicap at this C&D (25/1) 18 days ago, badly hampered. Readily passed over. No impact on handicap debut in August; beaten when hampered on return over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Flamborough Head |
6/1(+57%) | (1) Flamborough Head 6/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 18 days ago. Improvement needed. Race didn't go his way on handicap debut over C&D; capable of better in easier race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) ![]() Precious Spartan |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (12) ![]() Ziva's Star |
40/1(0%) | (12) Ziva's Star 40/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, last of 11 in maiden at Southwell (6.1f). Off 168 days ahead of this handicap/yard debut. Others preferred. Beaten 13l+ over 6f and 7f as 2yo; handicap debut; others more likely this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) ![]() Falaise Blanc |
10/1(-25%) | (5) Falaise Blanc 10/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap at this C&D (7/1) 18 days ago and it's probably best to look elsewhere. Four defeats in AW handicaps but had excuses last twice; involved with a clear run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) ![]() Triple Wishes |
14/1(-133%) | (2) Triple Wishes 14/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 5 in maiden (66/1) at this course (6f) 21 days ago, slowly away. Visor on 1st time for this handicap debut and she could be about to take a step forward. Easy to back for all 3 runs, keeping on over 6f here latest; can improve now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) ![]() Nave Force |
17/2(+58%) | (10) Nave Force 17/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 22/1, fifth of 8 in handicap at this C&D 36 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Hooded for 1st time and needs to raise his game. Well held on handicap debut over C&D; fitting a hood needs to be a big help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) ![]() Sandinyourshoes |
4/1(-60%) | (9) Sandinyourshoes 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 22/1, second of 10 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) 22 days ago, running on. Solid claims. Improved form when close 2nd on handicap debut (6f); well worth a go at 7f; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) ![]() Crimson Lad |
13/2(+80%) | (7) Crimson Lad 13/2, Thrice-raced maiden. Twelfth of 14 in novice (200/1) at Thirsk (6f, good). Off 8 months ahead of this handicap debut and he looks up against it. Step up to 7f could suit on handicap debut now switched to AW but first run since July. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) ![]() Hardlass |
12/1(-50%) | (4) Hardlass 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f, 8/1) 14 days ago. Significantly up in trip and wouldn't be without an each-way chance if seeing it out. Promising 5f run here in January; bred to stay the new trip; has possibilities. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SANDINYOURSHOES took a big step forwards when a head second on her handicap debut over 6f at Southwell last month. A 1lb rise for that effort appears to be fair and this step up in trip may bring about further improvement. Miakoda is more than capable of making the frame in a race of this nature, while similar comments apply to Hardlass and Triple Wishes.
The switch to handicap company brought immediate improvement in SANDINYOURSHOES, who went close over 6f at Southwell at the end of last month and he is taken to go one better with this step back up in trip no bad thing. Miakoda is respected on the back of a decent effort here 12 days ago and he is second choice ahead of Triple Wishes, who appeals as the type to do better now making her way into handicap company.
It may be worth persevering with FLAMBOROUGH HEAD who should find this easier than last time when things never really went his way.

9/2(+36%) | (4) Lord Abama 9/2, Three wins from 12 runs last year, latest in 10-runner handicap at this C&D. Off 137 days but he ought to be in the shake-up. Last seen winning a C&D handicap in November; could progress further this year. |

3rd (11) ![]() Mayo County |
15/8(+46%) | (11) Mayo County 15/8, Took her form up a notch when readily getting off the mark in 9-runner handicap at this C&D (5/1) 12 days ago. Hiked up 7 lb but she merits serious consideration. Easy C&D win 12 days ago (second run after a wind op); up 7lb; big chance for red-hot yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) ![]() Court Drive |
6/1(+25%) | (1) Court Drive 6/1, Latest win at Kempton in January. Only sixth of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Southwell (6.1f) 50 days ago so needs a couple of these to falter. Impressed at Kempton in January but held under a penalty 11 days later; now 1lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) ![]() Match Play |
17/2(+66%) | (7) Match Play 17/2, 20/1, last of 10 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) 11 days ago. Hood on 1st time. Can give a good account at these weights if back on his A-game. Ran poorly 11 days ago; now tried in a hood; dangerous mark but not solid at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) ![]() Danzart |
40/1(-186%) | (10) Danzart 40/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. 7/2, eleventh of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f). Off 7 months with work to do. Several good runs last year but failed to fire when last seen and has an absence to defy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) ![]() Mighty Power |
25/1(-25%) | (9) Mighty Power 25/1, 3-time C&D winner. First run since leaving Stella Barclay when ninth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 40/1) 11 days ago. It's now 12 runs since his last win in 2024. Low-key stable debut 11 days ago; down in the weights but others look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) ![]() Nazca |
22/1(-38%) | (6) Nazca 22/1, 3-time C&D winner. Last of 6 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 46 days ago so needs to get back on track. Back to his last winning mark but doesn't look in good enough form to take advantage. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) ![]() Run This Way |
28/1(-250%) | (5) Run This Way 28/1, Three wins from 11 runs last year. 9/2, below form seventh of 13 in handicap at Redcar (6f, soft). Off 155 days with more required. Completed turf hat-trick last summer; good mark but may need this first run since October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) ![]() Little Muddy |
28/1(-40%) | (12) Little Muddy 28/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. 28/1, eleventh of 15 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good). Off 178 days. Difficult ask. Run well fresh in the last two years but out of form when last seen; bit to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The consistent Rebecca's Girl has to be of interest once again but she may be a touch high in the ratings right now. As a result, preference is for LORD ABAMA, who won over C&D when last seen in November and a 3lb rise should be workable on his return to action. The shortlist is completed by Oriental Prince and Mayo County.
Jim Goldie's ORIENTAL PRINCE got back on the up when scoring at Southwell a week ago and can defy a 4 lb weight rise here to bag a fourth victory of 2025. Stylish C&D winner Mayo County rates a big threat though despite being hit with a 7 lb hike by the official assessor. In-form duo Lord Abama and Rebecca's Girl are also in the picture.
Rebecca's Girl has been running with credit but MAYO COUNTY (nap) won easily here last time and can defy her 7lb rise.

9th (11) ![]() Two B Tanned |
14/1(-17%) | (11) Two B Tanned 14/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Failed to build on earlier promise when last of 13 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) in November on her final run for George Scott. Hood back on and weighted to go close if yard switch sparks a resurgence. Beaten 20l+ in two 1m2f handicaps for G Scott; down in trip/grade on stable debut; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) ![]() Dandy Lichious |
13/2(+35%) | (4) Dandy Lichious 13/2, Eleven runs since his last win in 2024. Seventh of 10 in minor event (11/4) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 32 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Slow start caused issues last time & better judged on earlier placed efforts in January. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) ![]() Bella Puledra |
80/1(-100%) | (2) Bella Puledra 80/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 250/1, last of 9 in novice at this course (8f) 71 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Poor form claims but this is her first realistic opportunity and she has headgear fitted. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
URBAN DANDY travelled strongly into contention before coming clear late on to record a comfortable victory over track and trip recently. He sneaks into this with a mark of 51 now that he has been reassessed, and he won't get a better opportunity than this to repeat the dose. Tantomile has been in solid form at handicap level, though, and she could be a real threat to the selection. Martin's Brig is another to consider.
Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and URBAN DANDY, who resumed winning ways in style here last week, looks the way to go. Julie Camacho's new recruit Two B Tanned is weighted to have a big say though, while in-form pair Tantomile and Martin's Brig also need factoring into this classified event.
Tantomile can go well back up in trip but URBAN DANDY may be able to follow up his recent 1m win here.

7/1(-8%) | (4) Frank The Spark 7/1, Three wins from 8 runs last year. 12/1, creditable ¾-length second of 6 to Ganesha in handicap at this C&D 15 days ago. Place possibilities. Progressive in 2024; made a promising reappearance behind Ganesha two weeks ago; contender. |

5th (2) ![]() Filly One |
17/2(+39%) | (2) Filly One 17/2, Lightly-raced course winner. 18/1, last of 12 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) 57 days ago. Needs to get back on track. 2-2 at Newcastle (both 6f); down in trip/class and this unexposed filly could go well. |

6th (11) ![]() Golden Rainbow |
10/1(-67%) | (11) Golden Rainbow 10/1, Four-time C&D winner. Six wins from 20 runs last year. Creditable third of 10 in handicap at this C&D (50/1) 23 days ago. Visor back on and he's in with an each-way shout. Conditions to suit and outran his 50-1 odds here last month; others stronger for the win. |

7th (8) ![]() South Shore |
50/1(-52%) | (8) South Shore 50/1, 50/1, last of 8 in handicap at this course (6f) 18 days ago and he looks set for another struggle. Struggled for current yard, including on reappearance; down in weights but lots to prove. |

8th (5) ![]() Ganesha |
15/2(-67%) | (5) Ganesha 15/2, Improved on recent efforts to win 6-runner handicap (9/4) at this C&D 15 days ago by ¾ length from Frank The Spark. More on his plate up 3 lb in this stronger race. Wind op in December has worked the oracle; beat two of these over C&D 15 days ago; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) ![]() Darlo Pride |
7/1(-40%) | (6) Darlo Pride 7/1, C&D winner. Three wins from 17 runs last year. Creditable ¾-length third of 6 to Ganesha in handicap (15/8) at this C&D 15 days ago. In the mix. Conditions fine and continues to run with credit; shouldn't be too far away once again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) ![]() King's Crown |
6/1(+20%) | (10) King's Crown 6/1, C&D winner at the start of this month. 12/1, respectable third of 8 in handicap back here 9 days ago and he's high on the shortlist. Comes here in good form but others would appear to have more upside. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A competitive sprint to end proceedings, and it looks best to side with FRANK THE SPARK. Paul Midgley's charge (second) finished three-quarters of a length behind the reopposing Ganesha (winner) over C&D on his return to action recently but he's 3lb better off today and has an excellent draw breaking out of stall 10. King's Crown and Dark Kestrel have both been on the premises in recent starts and are unlikely to be far away once again.
The vote goes to ABOVE, who has been in good heart in recent months and, all things considered, he performed with credit over C&D last time. The 8-y-o remains on a workable mark and gets the nod ahead of another in-form candidate in the shape of King's Crown, while Darlo Pride has a realistic chance of reversing recent C&D placings with Ganesha and Frank The Spark.
Filly One is an interesting contender down in trip and class but FRANK THE SPARK is taken to build on his promising reappearance.
Ths is the racecard key.
