13:45 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ALFRED TENNYSON should improve from his debut run at Tipperary 11 days ago. The Starspangledbanner colt missed the kick then and stayed on into fourth without threatening. He will have learned plenty from that run. Red Evolution didn't have the clearest of passages on his debut at the Curragh a fortnight ago and ran a big race there to finish third. He's a leading player now. Ace King Queen ran a nice race when fourth on her debut here last month and is another who is entitled to improve from her initial effort. She also has to be on the shortlist.

RED EVOLUTION cost plenty at the breeze-ups and showed an awful lot to work on when third at the Curragh a fortnight ago, running on having been short of room. Sure to build on that, he's very much the one to beat, though a leap forward from Alfred Tennyson would come as no surprise whatsoever. Rumba Bay is bred to be sharp and is also considered.

Expensive breezer Red Evolution showed plenty on debut at the Curragh and one imagines the drop back to 5f won't be a problem

14:20 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MEHMAN ran well here last time off the same mark when third to Amazon Lady. It paid to be on the pace that day and he did well to stay on from mid-division to chase home the front pair. He had been a cosy winner at Naas previously and there looks to be another race in him off his current rating. He had Never Shout Never and Pro Bono Alexander behind in sixth and seventh here last month. The former has run well to finish third at Tipperary since and could be the danger now. Pro Bono Alexander got a slight bump when staying on inside the final furlong that day and may get closer now.

It might be worth siding with THUNDERBEAR, who showed enough at York a fortnight ago to think he's in reasonable nick and this represents an easier assignment. Pro Bono Alexander and Mehman are a couple of potential threats.

Last month's C&D third Mehman has obvious claims but ARNHEM has run several good races in defeat here and should handle the ground

14:55 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KEKE was an eye-catcher when meeting traffic problems on his last outing at Naas and may be able to step forward now in this grade. The Dandy Man gelding had nowhere to go for almost a furlong last time before getting out inside the final furlong and running on to finish third to Mehman. He is only 2lb higher now. Rappell was a good winner at Fairyhouse last time and is still relatively unexposed. He looks a danger with Robert Whearty taking 5lb off now to offset most of his 7lb rise. Cuban Grey only went up 3lb for his win at Tipperary 11 days ago and is another for the shortlist.

KEKE finished to really good effect having been stopped in his run more than once when third at Naas 4 weeks ago and makes plenty of appeal. The improving Rappell is a big player, with Tipperary-winner Cuban Grey also highly respected.

A scopey sort who won't be out of place against his elders, RAPPELL has given the impression that he can rate a lot higher by year's end

15:30 Navan Listed 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EVERLASTING takes a drop in class here having made little impression in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last time. The Kingman filly had run well on her two previous outings in stakes company, including when third to Oaks winner Ezeliya in the Salsabil Stakes here in late April. Bluedrum may be capable of better on nicer ground now. She won her maiden in good style last year but couldn't make much impression in the Athasi Stakes on her return at the Curragh last month. It's interesting that Ben Coen sides with Girl Racer from the Johnny Murtagh-trained pair. She was very free in Group 2 company at the Curragh last time and wasn't disgraced by finishing seventh in the end.

ASIAN DAZE has returned an improved performer and gets the vote back up in grade. Everlasting steps down from the Irish 1000 Guineas and is a clear danger. Kayhana is another to consider.

Unable to get involved in the Irish 1000 Guineas, EVERLASTING should win this on her previous close third to Oaks winner Ezeliya here.

16:05 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GLOR TIRE completed her hat-trick in fine style at Leopardstown on Thursday evening, under a polished ride from Gabriella Hill, and can go in again. She was sent for home before the bend at the Dublin venue and was a cosy winner at line. Going a bit further should suit the daughter of Teofilo. Old Faithful was value for a bit more than his short-head margin when beating Gibbs Island at Naas last time. He was nursed home 'hands and heels' then and with that win under his belt, he could progress again. Gibbs Island is now 2lb better off and is obviously entitled to be in the mix again.

GOING REMOTE improved when tackling this trip for the first time at Fairyhouse recently and is narrowly preferred to Aidan O'Brien's Old Faithful. Cheery Wink wasn't seen to best effect on her handicap debut and is another who could have a say.

A tricky little heat and we'll go with GIBBS ISLAND who was gallant in defeat when touched off by Old Faithful at Naas

16:40 Navan Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CANCELLED ran a lovely race on her debut at Cork 18 days ago and can collect now. The Almanzor filly shot into the lead a furlong and a half from home then before getting outstayed by a smart sort in Sixandahalf over 1m4f. Dropping back to 1m2f looks an obvious move now. Declaree was only edged out by a neck by Harbour Gem at Cork last month and she looks a danger. Ryan Moore takes the mount on Opaque and it would be no surprise if the Ten Sovereigns filly improved from her initial effort at Dundalk in April.

DECLAREE achieved enough when second at Cork last time to think a race like this should be within her grasp and is preferred to Clever And Cute and Cancelled, who both made promising starts when runner-up last month.

Having run a big race on debut over 1m4f at Cork, CANCELLED can improve enough from that to get off the mark.

17:15 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MAYO FOR SAM ran really well on her last visit here and may be worth a shot in a tricky looking contest. She made the running before settling for second behind easy winner Cleopatra's Needle here last month and looked to bump into a well handicapped rival on that occasion. Doctor Grace ran a big race at Cork last time when going down by a neck to Barretstown and could go well again, although the draw hasn't been kind in stall 23. Lady Delila was fourth in that Cork race and off the same mark she's another that has to enter calculations.

DOCTOR GRACE dropped a strong hint her turn is imminent when just failing to reel one in who got first run at Cork 18 days ago and she looks to hold sound claims in a race where plenty have something to prove. Lady Delila is easily one of the least exposed and heads up the dangers along with Slaney Tide. Last year's runner-up Shining Aitch is another to consider for each-way purposes.

Well drawn for a frontrunner, SLANEY TIDE ran a solid race over 1m4f at Leopardstown last time and the drop to this trip can help.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
