13:05 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Fozzy Stack's newcomer UNEXPECTED ISSUES has to be of interest as a sister to the stable's good horse Castle Star, who won at Group 3 level and was runner-up in the Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket, and he handled cut in the ground. Aidan O'Brien's Churchill filly Heavens Gate is an obvious danger. She doesn't have any fancy entries, but there are plenty of winners in her pedigree. Cradle Of Love holds a Listed entry at Redcar and wasn't beaten far into third on debut at Dundalk. She was scratched from a Naas contest because of slower ground, though. Noel Meade's Ribchester colt Lethimfly is well worth a check for market strength.

Probably just an ordinary maiden and the well-connected HEAVENS GATE is the standout. Gangsta Man and Cradle of Love both offered something to work on first-time up and their experience may give them the edge over most.

A chance is taken on UNEXPECTED ISSUES, whose brother Cradle Star was a smart 2yo for the same stable.

13:35 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EMERALD HARMONY is a potential improver from her debut sixth at Cork. She kept on well in the final furlong and could appreciate this ground as it won't be as testing. Back Down Under flopped when last seen in Dundalk but, prior to that, was placed five times on turf, including in the valuable Birdcatcher at Naas. Ojw Legacy has been placed on all three starts to date so is sure to be popular. She got closer to the breakthrough on her last outing in Dundalk, when beaten by a neck. Beatrix Power is a sister to a seven-time winner so is worth a market check on debut.

OJW LEGACY improved on the form she showed as a juvenile when runner-up in a Dundalk maiden (6f) 24 days ago and with the drop to the minimum trip expected to hold no fears, she's of interest with the possibility of more to come. Air Force One is another of interest starting out for his new stable with Back Down Under and Emerald Harmony others to note.

It could pay to take a chance on AIR FORCE ONE who ran in maidens at top tracks for David O'Meara.

14:05 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Ken Condon saddled his first winner of the season in Naas last week and has prospects with VERACIDAD. This filly was placed three times off higher marks last season and is very much at home on rain-softened ground. Velvet Skies is running consistently well, with three runner-up berths in a row. His latest effort came in a higher grade and Wesley Joyce eases his welter burden by 5lb, so the pair should be right on the premises. Artful Approach can build upon his fourth over C&D last month. It was quite a drop in trip for him, but he took to sprinting as he put in plenty of good late work in that big field.

LAYOFTHELAND left previous efforts well behind when a close fourth in a big field at the Curragh on handicap bow last month so gets the vote. Velvet Skies and Artful Approach head the dangers.

On the back of a good start in handicap company when fourth of 21 against older rivals over C&D, ARTFUL APPROACH (nap) gets the vote

14:35 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

UN BACIO ANCORA ran a stormer on her return to turf in the Curragh last month. She was just pipped in third, by a short head and a neck, in that massive field after attracting support. The horse behind her in seventh came out and won in this grade at Sligo last Sunday. Step Back In Time has a C&D victory to her name and ran well for a long way when sixth on her seasonal reappearance here last month. My Girl Sioux is a long-standing maiden but is capable of picking up a cheque, while Stanhope competes off a very lowly mark with Keithen Kennedy's claim factored in, and he does love Navan.

NOUVEL ESPOIR produced her best effort when runner-up in a C&D maiden in October and is on a fair mark on that form, so she could be the answer with a reappearance run under her belt. Step Back In Time shaped well fifth on her return here 10 days ago and is next best ahead of My Girl Sioux and Un Bacio Ancora.

Although he didn't shine on h'cap debut at the Curragh, NOUVEL ESPOIR still appeals as being well treated on the pick of his maiden form

15:05 Navan Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NEPTUNES STAIRCASE wouldn't be winning out of turn and gets first-time cheekpieces after three consecutive runner-up finishes. He is proven over this trip as he was just held by a neck over C&D in October. Zoffman put in a satisfactory seasonal reappearance when third over a slightly shorter trip at this track in April. He was good enough to finish second in a premier handicap at the Curragh last summer. Bay Of Sanibel is up in class, but won her maiden over C&D and was narrowly beaten at this track last month. Minella Mate is returning from a lengthy absence, but was in decent form in August and September.

A winner on her second start in maidens at 2 yrs, BAY OF SANIBEL showed further improvement when runner-up on return/handicap debut here (13f) 10 days ago and, open to further progress, she looks to hold solid claims of going a place better here. Zoffman and Neptunes Staircase head up the dangers, with Minella Mate not out of things either.

The Harrington filly BAY OF SANIBEL goes well here and was a creditable second on seasonal/handicap debut; the extra furlong will suit

15:35 Navan Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

UNCANNY was a real eyecatcher on debut at the Curragh. She got going late and stayed on strongly but was unable to reel in the winner, who had flown. She looks the one to beat granted normal improvement. In addition, she holds a couple of Grade 2 entries this month and in June. Concluding Call showed ability in two spins on the Polytrack in Dundalk and she performed creditably in fourth on her turf debut at the Curragh. Quantum Light looks exposed after 14 outings, but has been placed on six occasions and has a shot at more prize money.

UNCANNY shaped promisingly making her belated debut when running on late for second in a big-field Curragh maiden 17 days ago and with this increase in trip likely to suit, she holds sound claims with progress anticipated. Concluding Call rates next best ahead of Quantum Light.

Having shaped like a certain future winner on debut, UNCANNY will be a short price to go one better in an ordinary contest

16:05 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Jazz Forever is the starting point having returned to action with a ready success over a similar trip at Dundalk last month. He is yet to show that he wants rain-softened ground, though, so preference is for Tony Martin's PALO DURO. He could make an impact off a mark of 67 in his first handicap having showed improvement in third in a Down Royal maiden. No Trouble has returned to John McConnell, who he previously had success for. Colin Keane has been enlisted so a big run wouldn't be surprising. Rampage is another to consider as he tries this trip for the second time.

There could be better to come from PALO DURO now that he ventures down the handicap route. Indeed, the unexposed 4-y-o took a step forward when third in a 7f Down Royal maiden when last seen in September and this intermediate trip could prove to be just the ticket. Epaulawn and Cleopatra's Needle both need to bounce back but that's entirely possible having slipped to dangerous marks, while Rampage is not without hope either.

Paul Flynn's JAZZ FOREVER has a decent draw to work with and he's off the same mark as for last month's win on the AW.

16:35 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ARBAAWI has been a decent recruit for Tom McCourt as evidenced by a victory and a placed effort in Dundalk. Crucially, he has winning form on slower ground from his career in Britain so should be a leading contender under 5lb claimer James Ryan. Duleek Street has been hurdling, but could give David Egan a good spin off a mark off 55 on his return to the level. Tara Power stayed on in third when last seen in Dundalk and could get involved as she has snippets of form on turf. Elsa's Pride has ability, and winning form from Cork, but would prefer better ground on her seasonal reappearance.

The vote goes to ELSA'S PRIDE, who improved in 1½m handicaps on her final two starts of last season and she could have more to offer as a 4-y-o. This trip could prove to be ideal, too. Arbaawi has put in good shifts on the all-weather the last twice and is second choice ahead of Eighty Eight, Akmaam and Jawhary.

David Egan looks an interesting booking for DULEEK STREET who should be well handicapped given the level he's reached over hurdles.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
