(4) Ten Ten Twenty 10/3, Winner on AW in April and ran creditably behind a progressive rival when second of 10 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (16f, good) 18 days ago, running on. Fancied to make his presence felt with a 10 lb conditional taking over in the plate.
Won on the Flat in April and ran well in defeat when back over hurdles last month; player.

(3) Asa 20/1, Had cheekpieces on and got off the mark not before time in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Cartmel (22.1f, good) 9 days ago, having too much in hand to allow the runner-up back in after committing arguably sooner than ideal. Up 8 lb for that win but capable of following up in her current form.

13:45 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

While a few of these arrive with something to prove, the same can't be said for ASA, a decisive winner over 2m6f at Cartmel last month. First-time cheekpieces (retained) were worn that day and should she progress further in them, a subsequent 8lb hike in the ratings might prove lenient. Ten Ten Twenty kept on into second over 2m at Worcester last time out and he is of interest upped in distance, while veteran 12-year-old Mackie Dee is no forlorn hope.

This could well develop into a match between ASA and Ten Ten Twenty, with preference for the former having belatedly opened her account in good style at Cartmel last week. Ten Ten Twenty found only a progressive rival too good at Worcester recently and David Jeffreys' 6-y-o may have to settle for silver again, with Ideal de Romay rounding off the shortlist from a basement mark in reapplied cheekpieces.

Preference is for TEN TEN TWENTY, who ran well in defeat behind a progressive rival last month.

14:15 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Given that Bullion Boss kept on well over 2m7f here last month, a drop in trip might not be ideal, but he must be respected in what looks a moderate affair. Preference, however, is for LENEBANE, who bounced back to form when filling the runner-up spot over C&D last month. A similar performance could see the mare strike at the 16th time of asking. Kopa Kilana is also noted.

BULLION BOSS produced easily his best performance since returning from his lengthy absence when runner-up over 23f here 16 days ago and, in the hope the headgear has the desired effect once more, he gets a tentative vote to end a losing run. Kopa Kilana steps back up in trip following a pair of good placed efforts and is feared, with low-mileage Hope Hill possibly capable of better still for Sue Smith.

Still well handicapped after going close in new headgear here last month, BULLION BOSS gets the vote.

14:50 Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner O'GRADY'S HILL was sent off favourite for a bumper at Uttoxeter on her Rules debut last month, finishing second, and she is taken to progress for the switch to obstacles. Hamartia sets the standard with an official rating of 101 and she is unlikely to be far away, while others to note include Beau Della and the Fergal O'Brien-trained Gentle Life.

Fergal O'Brien's GENTLE LIFE shaped well after a long absence when runner-up on her hurdling bow here and can build on it and go one better now. Hamartia also has the form to play a part and is next on the list ahead of Bangor-second Beau Della and hurdling-newcomer O'Grady's Hill.

Hamartia just about has the least to prove but preference is for GENTLE LIFE who has lower mileage on the clock.

15:25 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having scored comfortably over 2m at Uttoxeter last month, Baskerville brings plenty of potential into handicaps and he merits serious consideration on his first start in this sphere. That said, preference is for RIVER ROBE. Dan Skelton's charge was last seen running out a ready winner of a C&D handicap on her stable debut and, for a yard which tends to excel with these types, the suspicion is that an 11lb hike may not be enough to anchor her. Noble Anthem has an interesting profile and completes the shortlist.

RIVER ROBE won with plenty in hand on her debut for Dan Skelton last month and can go in again. Noble Anthem and GMS Prince may give her most to think about.

Dan Skelton's RIVER ROBE looked way ahead of her mark here two weeks ago and an 11lb hit could be manageable.

16:00 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Clean Getaway (first) got the better of DON OCCHETTI (second) when the pair met over this track and trip last month but, with the latter much better off at the weights here, it would be no surprise if Dan Skelton's charge was able to reverse the form. Gallow Ford was the subject of market support when disappointing over 2m7f at Worcester latest, but his mark continues to fall and, sporting first-time blinkers on his second start after wind surgery, he cannot be overlooked.

HONNEUR DE SIVOLA has shaped as if needing the run on both his starts this season so could be worth chancing off a career-low mark. Don Occhetti made a promising start to his chase career when 13 lengths second to Clean Getaway over C&D last month and is 12 lb better off with that rival here. so Dan Skelton's charge rates the main threat.

Don Occhetti and Clean Getaway are obvious players, while GALLOW FORD and Honneur De Sivola are interesting types.

Easy Bangor winner off reduced mark; back up 8lb but might have turned a corner.

Prolific for Paul Nicholls; yet to fire for current yard but latest run was promising.

16:35 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SAINT ARVANS shaped better than the bare result suggests when staying on well to finish fourth in a warm handicap over C&D last time out and, eased 1lb, a bold showing looks assured. Jerrash clearly relished dropping in trip when running out an easy winner over an extended 2m4f at Bangor recently, and he is respected despite an 8lb rise, while The Big Lense was last seen winning gamely over hurdles at Southwell and is also noted.

JERRASH went with much more zest when scoring at Bangor last time out and can defy an 8 lb higher mark to follow up. The Big Lense has been in good heart hurdling recently and should be in the mix if able to translate that form to chasing, with Presentandcounting taken to round out the placings.

The Bowen yard won this last year with one in form and JERRASH (nap) got his career firmly back on track at Bangor nine days ago.

17:10 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for PHIL DE PAIL after a commanding success at Uttoxeter last time out, the seven-year-old is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming as he looks to overcome a 7lb rise. Hall Lane has been relatively disappointing since a strong runner-up effort at Southwell in April, but stepping up in trip could be the making of him, while Morning Spirit is noted too.

PHIL DE PAIL stepped forward from his chasing debut when winning in impressive style at Uttoxeter last time and, with further progress to come over fences, he can go on to score again. Hall Lane made the frame once more at this course 23 days ago and could be the biggest theat, while Giovanni Change is a 4-time winner here over hurdles.

Uttoxeter winner PHIL DE PAIL is preferred. Hall Lane is second choice.

17:45 Market Rasen NH Flat Race (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MONTANA GOLDEN came from off the pace to finish an encouraging second on debut at Worcester last month and the extra yardage here should be in his favour as he looks to go one better. The son of Mount Nelson sets the standard on form and it may be newcomer You Moved On who follows him home for a stable with an excellent record at this track. I'd Go Maniac got the hang of things late in the day when sixth on debut at Lingfield and could step forward.

MONTANA GOLDEN made an encouraging start to his career when second at Worcester last month and is taken to go one better now. The others with racecourse experience haven't achieved a great deal so the main threat may come from newcomers You Moved On and Ellie Blue.

Runner-up on last month's debut at Worcester, MONTANA GOLDEN is taken to go one better here.
