1st (4) ![]() Mister Cessna |
13/8(+0%) | (4) Mister Cessna 13/8, Probably outclassed down the field in 'Fred Winter' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham most recent; winner in France; has course form; may ideally want easier ground but should go close Well beaten at Cheltenham last month but better judged on his C&D second two runs ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) ![]() Bond Broker |
8/15(+52%) | (1) Bond Broker 8/15, Plenty in hand when won a novice hurdle at Sedgefield over 2m1f by 15l last time; enjoys making it; every chance despite big weight 2-2 over hurdles, making all in small field both times; limit of ability hard to gauge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) ![]() An Buachaill Rua |
25/1(-79%) | (2) An Buachaill Rua 25/1, Won a maiden point at Dungarvan over 3m by 15l last time; back in trip; worth a market check ahead of debut Won Irish point by 15l in February and should have a future under rules. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Cherryhawk |
100/1(-100%) | (5) Cherryhawk 100/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Chepstow latest; not proven trip; 12f flat winner; off a short-break; could leave debut form behind Out of form on Flat in the autumn and struggled (albeit on heavy ground) on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() New Man |
66/1(-100%) | (3) New Man 66/1, 60l fourth in a novice hurdle at Hereford first-time out folding tamely; returning from a break; all to do Well beaten when fourth in modest Hereford novice on debut in November; not seen since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) ![]() Farhh Echo |
40/1(-100%) | (6) Farhh Echo 40/1, Had benefited for debut experience fourth beaten 3l in a juvenile bumper here latest where had run of race; returning from a break; bit to find on hurdle debut Showed some ability in autumn bumpers but improvement is needed on this hurdle debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Having scored at Southwell and Sedgefield this season, unbeaten hurdler Bond Broker must warrant respect. However, a further 5lb penalty does demand more from Paul Nicholls' gelding and it could be worth taking a chance on MISTER CESSNA bouncing back. Although the four-year-old couldn't land a blow in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival, a reproduction of his C&D second in February may prove sufficient. Winning pointer An Buachaill Rua merits a market check on his Rules bow.
Preference is for free-going front-runner BOND BROKER, who is unbeaten after two hurdling starts.

1st (1) ![]() Sainte Doctor |
5/6(+100%) | (1) Sainte Doctor 5/6, Improved again; when landed handicap by a length off 113 over 2m7f at Stratford last time; trainer in form; down in trip; sharp tracks suit; threat Good-ground C&D winner last spring and back in good form in recent weeks; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Regal Renaissance |
5/2(-11%) | (2) Regal Renaissance 5/2, Benefited from drop in class second beaten 9l in a handicap chase here latest; goes well here; good mark on autumn win; every chance Largely consistent mare who ran well in defeat over C&D six weeks ago; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Trapista |
10/3(+17%) | (4) Trapista 10/3, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Wetherby latest; off a short-break; back below last winning mark; likes this track; contender back on better ground Completed hat-trick with C&D win last spring but was out of form when last seen in winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (3) ![]() Happy D'ex |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Happy D'ex 16/1, 47l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Warwick most recent run where trip too sharp; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; has dropped a long way in weights; outside chance Back from long absence with two very underwhelming runs this year; cheekpieces now added. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SAINTE DOCTOR supplemented her Fakenham triumph when following up at Stratford last month. The nine-year-old scored a shade cosily on both occasions and she looks more than capable of defying a further 4lb rise. The biggest threat may emerge from Regal Renaissance, who arrives on the back of a solid second over C&D. Happy D'ex is racing off a career-low mark and Sheila Lewis' mare shouldn't be underestimated sporting first-time cheekpieces.
Regal Renaissance is very likely to run well again but SAINTE DOCTOR is back in very good nick and can complete a hat-trick.

1st (3) ![]() Elusiveness |
10/11(+34%) | (3) Elusiveness 10/11, Landed handicap by 3l off 85 over 3m at Taunton last time; previous form strong; trainer in form; down in trip; threat Cruised clear to win easily by 3l in first-time blinkers at Taunton last week; 7lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) ![]() Tellairsue |
11/2(+73%) | (5) Tellairsue 11/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Southwell latest where went too fast; not proven trip; off a short-break; outsider Returned from long layoff with encouraging run in December but performed poorly last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() No Worries |
18/5(+45%) | (4) No Worries 18/5, Below par well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Market Rasen latest; in good form prior; longer trip should suit; returning from a break; contender if fit Absent since disappointing run in November and remains on fairly tough mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Crac De Megaudais |
4/1(-100%) | (2) Crac De Megaudais 4/1, Well backed when landed handicap by 12l off 80 over 2m4f at Fakenham last time in decisive fashion; off a short-break; revised mark demands more but outside chance Improved form when wide-margin winner at Fakenham in January; resumes on 13lb higher mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The introduction of first-time blinkers worked the oracle for ELUSIVENESS when scoring with ease at Taunton eight days ago. A 7lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold showing from Jeremy Scott's mare and she's fancied to fend off fellow last-time-out winner Crac De Megaudais. The six-year-old drew 12 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer at Fakenham on New Year's Day, but a 13lb hike may prove his downfall. Handicap debutant El Rayo may fare best of the remainder.
Everything seemed to have clicked into place for ELUSIVENESS at Taunton last week, and she can overcome her 7lb penalty here.

1st (5) ![]() Straw Fan Jack |
11/2(+39%) | (5) Straw Fan Jack 11/2, Pulled up in Ultima Handicap Chase over 3m1f at Cheltenham latest; not proven trip; out of form; outsider Commendable third at last year's Cheltenham Festival but out of form this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Destroytheevidence |
8/13(+59%) | (2) Destroytheevidence 8/13, Showed willing attitude second beaten a neck in a novice chase at Warwick latest; well treated back in a handicap; significant jockey booking; could be tough to peg back Has taken well to fences this season and will be suited by today's ground; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Annsam |
9/4(+36%) | (1) Annsam 9/4, Well backed 6 1/2l third in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Exeter most recent run; let down by jumping prior; step up in trip a big positive; took this in 2023 off 5lb higher; every chance Not at best this season but now 5lb lower than when winning this race in 2023. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
A winner over C&D before, JAVA POINT bounced back to form with a strong runner-up effort at Sandown last time out and conditions should be in his favour once more as he looks to go one better. Narrowly denied at Warwick on his most recent outing, Destroytheevidence is entitled to be thereabouts again, as well as Annsam, who landed this contest in 2023 off 5lb higher.
This can go to DESTROYTHEEVIDENCE (nap), who made a very good start to his chase career in the autumn and ran well in defeat last time.

2nd (5) ![]() Sawpit Sienna |
13/2(+13%) | (5) Sawpit Sienna 13/2, Travelled well 8l third in a handicap hurdle at Fakenham most recent run where found little for pressure; sharp tracks suit; place claims Arrives after two respectable runs and is well handicapped but younger rivals appeal more. |

4th (3) ![]() Culligran |
3/1(+60%) | (3) Culligran 3/1, Back to form fourth beaten 7l in a handicap hurdle at Warwick latest; cheekpieces first time; better ground no issue; in the mix Ran well when fourth on soft ground last time and conditions here ought to suit better. |

5th (4) ![]() Organic |
33/1(-340%) | (4) Organic 33/1, Below par comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Fakenham last time; trainer in form; bit to find Triple Flat winner; safely held in three hurdle races but improvement likely in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) ![]() Lady Caro |
10/3(-11%) | (2) Lady Caro 10/3, Raced freely when landed handicap by a head off 90 at Plumpton last time outstaying rival late; potential threat Battled well for narrow win at Plumpton last month, her 11th hurdling start; up 3lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
D DAY ARVALENREEVA could not have done it any easier when scoring at Market Rasen last week and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop her from following up over slightly shorter. Lady Caro deservedly got off the mark with a determined performance at Plumpton last month, and she is a key player, along with Organic, who has yet to click for new connections but could be interesting on her handicap debut.
She beat only three rivals on her handicap hurdle debut but D DAY ARVALENREEVA did so very comfortably and recorded a good time.

1st (4) ![]() Take All |
SP(+100%) | (4) Take All SP, Fell in a hunter chase over 3m2f at Cheltenham latest when looking big threat; this much easier; drop in trip a plus; can make amends Performed well in good hunter chases either side of his open point win in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Cap Du Mathan |
SP(+100%) | (2) Cap Du Mathan SP, Comfortably held in a hunter chase over 2m1f at Stratford last time; returning from long layoff; enjoys making it; up in trip; formerly useful novice chaser; threat Useful handicapper in prime and an easy hunter chase winner last season; back from break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) ![]() Walkin Out |
SP(+100%) | (5) Walkin Out SP, Bit too much to do second beaten 2l in a hunter chase here latest; prolific in points prior; outside chance Won five consecutive points before pretty good second in recent C&D hunter chase. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() Corporal Jackjones |
SP(+100%) | (3) Corporal Jackjones SP, Won a conditions race at Charlton Horethorne by 2 1/2l last time; steadily progressive in points; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; hard to recommend on chase debut Made all in a restricted point last month but faces much tougher opposition here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) ![]() One True King |
SP(+100%) | (1) One True King SP, Looked to want further fourth beaten 23l in a hunter chase over 2m at Leicester latest; up in trip; multiple course winner; not ruled out Had good record here as a handicapper but recent point/hunter chase form is uninspiring. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
A faller three out when still going okay in the hunter chase at Cheltenham last month, TAKE ALL looks the one to beat if building upon what could have been a career-best on that occasion. Runner-up over C&D last month after a string of victories in point-to-points, Walkin Out must enter calculations, as well as Cap Du Mathan, who has not been in action since last May but is a capable sort on his day.
Ex-Irish 10yo TAKE ALL has posted some good efforts for his new stable this year and looks the one to beat.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
