The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
It isn't difficult to envisage THRICE going forward from his near rail-side draw in stall two, in a bid to put the benefit of his experience to good use. All eyes will be on the Wootton Bassett colt, as his rider Ryan Moore debuts at Listowel. Moore triumphed on the selection's stable companion, Officer, when Thrice finished third on his first start at the Curragh last month. There was undoubted merit in the Ballydoyle juvenile's finishing spurt on that occasion, and the blinkers deployed then are unsurprisingly retained now. Aidan O'Brien has care of Thrice, and there is strong O'Brien family representation all told, with Joseph and Donnacha also fielding runners. The former's Hostility looks well-placed to at least contend for a place in the frame.
THRICE made a bright start to his career when a close third to stablemate Officer, who was the mount of Ryan Moore, on debut at the Curragh last month. Moore is aboard the son of Wootton Bassett this time (ahead of Ballydoyle newcomer Full Power) and he should prove hard to beat. Hostility shaped well on his introduction at the same course and is feared most ahead of Full Power.
Considering he got no cover it was highly encouraging that THRICE was still strong through the line when third at the Curragh.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
It's not often that connections of SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR find themselves competing down at this level. Nonetheless it'll be viewed as an important project, to secure a winning bracket with a well-bred filly such as this, after her purchase for a huge sum as a yearling in 2022. The daughter of Dubawi has had to miss out on a couple of intended assignments in recent times but patience could be rewarded now. She's joined here by stable companion and top-weight Dark Viper, and he's undoubtedly a player too. Back-in-trip Simple Endeavour can turn silver to gold though, after going close the last twice, from the plum draw in stall one. Sneddy Eddie has the form to make a telling impression. The presence of Colin Keane on his back will only go to heighten the confidence of his backers.
Lots with chances but SKONTONOVSKI signalled he is ready to go in again when an encouraging third at Punchestown so edges the vote. Akeela heads the list of dangers on the back of her good Cork second, although Golden Days, Dark Viper and Nika Pika all need factoring in too.
Wide open. SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR has to be ridden positively over this shorter trip and she's dropped lucky with the draw in that respect.

11/1(+21%) | (8) Mount Ruapehu 11/1, 22/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at Galway (7f, soft) 52 days ago. Not easy to make a case for. Solid efforts here in June and at Fairyhouse in July, ground too soft latest, interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (12/1 +0%) Racing Royalty |
12/1(+0%) | (11) Racing Royalty 12/1, C&D winner. Thirteenth of 14 in handicap at Galway (7f, soft, 22/1) 52 days ago. Shaped well on penultimate start and he looks competitive on form. Good run at Tipperary in May, best form on testing ground so needs rain, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (12/1 -118%) Ferrybank |
12/1(-118%) | (1) Ferrybank 12/1, 11/2, creditable fourth of 16 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, good) 75 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Won three times this year, should have a place chance but vulnerable for win purposes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (16/1 -14%) Free Solo |
16/1(-14%) | (2) Free Solo 16/1, 9/1, below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Laytown (7f) 8 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Won at Dundalk in January, no win on turf since 2019, others have more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (28/1 -40%) Tawaazon |
28/1(-40%) | (3) Tawaazon 28/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. 16/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Navan (5f, good) 17 days ago. Significantly back up in trip. Blinkers back on. Ground versatile, beaten 1l off 81 in July, 7lb lower now, has course form, not discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (15/2 +25%) Louiescall |
15/2(+25%) | (9) Louiescall 15/2, 7/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, respectable sixth of 14 in handicap at Galway (7f, soft) 52 days ago. Others have achieved more. 0-7, sound efforts last five starts, behind a couple of these on latest, needs more to win. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LOUIESCALL returns to Listowel, after a third placed run here in June. Connections kept the Soldier's Call gelding busy at the Galway festival, and though his second effort didn't match the first in a couple of outings at Ballybrit, there are still grounds for optimism. Granted, Louiescall is the only maiden in this line-up, but as the least experienced he is likely one of those with the most scope for progression. Trainer Harry Kelly is presumably still learning with the youngster. The cheekpieces he had on last time are dispensed with for this assignment, where his prominent racing style can put him right in the firing line come the business end. Others may prefer the tried and tested. To that end previous Listowel winners Ramiro, Dragon Of Malta and Racing Royalty will appeal.
PERFECT JUDGEMENT got on top close home at Leopardstown and he is taken to follow up off this 5 lb higher mark here. Next on the list is Summer Snow, who is much better than she was able to show at the Curragh last time. Eddie G, Ferrybank and Racing Royalty all make each-way appeal.
MOUNT RUAPEHU shaped well over 6.5f here in June, he's 3lb lower now and he can be forgiven his last run on account of soft ground.

1st (2) (5/1 +29%) Curvature |
5/1(+29%) | (2) Curvature 5/1, Useful filly. 5/1, creditable 1¼ lengths fourth of 9 to One Look in listed race at Killarney (8.1f, good to soft) 32 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Can make presence felt. Talented filly but seems to need plenty of juice underfoot to show her best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (11/2 -38%) Princess Child |
11/2(-38%) | (9) Princess Child 11/2, Useful filly. 9/2, length second of 9 to One Look in listed race at Killarney (8.1f, good to soft) 32 days ago, with reopposing stablemate Mexicali Rose just behind in third. One to consider. Brings solid form claims after two seconds in Listed races (7f/1m). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (3/1 +14%) Fleur De Chine |
3/1(+14%) | (8) Fleur De Chine 3/1, Useful filly. 2 wins from 5 runs this year. Latest win at Gowran in June. 6½ lengths seventh of 9 to Greenfinch in listed race (3/1) at Killarney (8.2f, good) 69 days ago. Gowran Classic winner; no further progress but one of the better ones in today's company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (17/2 +58%) Kayhana |
17/2(+58%) | (3) Kayhana 17/2, Fairly useful filly. Respectable 4¼ lengths sixth of 12 to Raknah in listed race at Galway (7f, good to soft, 11/1) 54 days ago. Up in trip. Only 1-9 and no better than fifth in three previous Listed assignments. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (5/1 +38%) Mexicali Rose |
5/1(+38%) | (4) Mexicali Rose 5/1, Useful filly. Latest win at Galway in July. 17/2, creditable length third of 9 to One Look in listed race at Killarney (8.1f, good to soft) 32 days ago. Has good chance on form. A repeat of her latest close third in a Listed race (1m) won't see her far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (4/1 +11%) Mundi |
4/1(+11%) | (5) Mundi 4/1, Thrice-raced winner. 1 win from 3 runs this year. 6½ lengths fifth of 8 to Lord Massusus in listed race at the Curragh (8f, good, 17/2) in June. Given a break since and retains potential on return with Ryan Moore siding with him over Bomberg. Never well positioned in a Listed race last time; back from a break and still unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (33/1 -65%) Cancelled |
33/1(-65%) | (7) Cancelled 33/1, Fairly useful filly. Winner at Gowran in August. Last of 5 in minor event at Roscommon (10.3f, soft, 10/3) 22 days ago. Has a bit to find at this level. Has only won a Gowran maiden and has her work cut out on these terms. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (10/1 -67%) Bomberg |
10/1(-67%) | (1) Bomberg 10/1, 11/2, won 9-runner maiden at Limerick (8f, good) on debut 79 days ago, comfortably. Ryan Moore sides with Mundi but this son of Siyouni surely has more to come. Won an ordinary maiden on debut but this colt has the build to improve with his racing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (100/1 -52%) Solar Breeze |
100/1(-52%) | (6) Solar Breeze 100/1, Fairly useful mare. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, last of 19 in handicap (28/1) at Leopardstown (8f, good) 10 days ago, slowly away. Exposed two-time winner and these terms are surely too tough to overcome. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Third in this event last year behind her stable companion, the hugely surprising 80/1 victor, Maud Gonne Spirit, perhaps it'll be a slightly better outcome for CURVATURE this time around. Jessica Harrington's stable jockey Shane Foley is on Fleur De Chine, and that's hardly surprising given that she gave her rider a big pay-day at Gowran back in high summer. It shouldn't neccessarily detract from the confidence of those rowing in with Curvature though, given that Colin Keane takes the reins for the first time. The addition of cheekpieces may help to eke out that bit more from the marginal first choice. She only yielded close home in a similar heat at Killarney a month ago. Curvature, Princess Child and Mexicali Rose are closely matched on evidence from then.
It might be worth chancing MUNDI back from a break with Ryan Moore over for the ride. Mexicali Rose, Princess Child and Curvature are closely matched on last month's Killarney form and should be in the mix again, while the selection's stablemate Bomberg has the potential for plenty of improvement after his debut success.
Opportunity knocks in not the strongest of Listed races. PRINCESS CHILD (nap) has been running well and this longer trip should help.

1st (3) (15/8 +0%) Medici Venus |
15/8(+0%) | (3) Medici Venus 15/8, Thrice-raced maiden who took another step forward when second of 16 in maiden at Galway (7f, good) 14 days ago. Yard in good form and may do better still. Touched off by a well-regarded sort last time, goes up in trip, has to be considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (10/1 +50%) The Marty Party |
10/1(+50%) | (7) The Marty Party 10/1, Confirmed the improvement shown last time in opening his account in 11-runner nursery at Down Royal (7.1f, good to firm, 3/1) 18 days ago. This is tougher. Won nursery off 63, poorly treated by race conditions, looks the yard's second string. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/1 +0%) Sir Jeremy |
5/1(+0%) | (6) Sir Jeremy 5/1, Showed much improved form to get off the mark in 12-runner nursery at Down Royal (7.1f, good to firm) 18 days ago, soon clear. Likely to progress further and has leading claims. Promise in maidens, hacked up on handicap debut, tougher race now but should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (6/5 +88%) Drivers Seat |
6/5(+88%) | (4) Drivers Seat 6/5, Showed more than on debut when third of 11 in maiden at Leopardstown (8f, good to firm, 9/2) 47 days ago. Open to further progress. Promise in both maidens, had a next time out winner behind on latest, needs more to win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (22/1 -175%) No Return |
22/1(-175%) | (1) No Return 22/1, Ran close to previous form when third of 13 in maiden (4/1) at Tipperary (7.5f, good) 23 days ago. Hood on for 1st time. Closely matched with Shiota on debut run, not so good on latest but can't discount; hooded. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Conditions are unlikely to suit dual winner Lady O, with the Australia filly taken out of a Group 3 at the Curragh last month due to quick ground. Off the same mark of 87, MEDICI VENUS is the selection. Badly hampered when still in with every chance on her penultimate start at Naas, she went down narrowly when last seen at Galway. Clearly progressive, it'll be disappointing if she's not involved towards the business end. The Joseph O'Brien-trained Drivers Seat has two solid efforts to his name and looks a winner in waiting. Third at Leopardstown on his latest start, he was a place ahead of subsequent impressive Galway victor Trinity College. O'Brien also saddles The Marty Party who has plenty to find on ratings, while Shiota and the Adrian McGuinness pair of Sir Jeremy and No Return (first time hood) complete the line-up.
SIR JEREMY took a big step forward when running out a wide-margin winner of a Down Royal nursery 18 days ago and looks capable of following up with further progress on the cards. Drivers Seat is another progressing nicely, with Lady O and Medici Venus others warranting plenty of respect.
Perhaps MEDICI VENUS can get her head in front. She was narrowly denied at Galway and her pedigree suggests this trip is worth a go.

10/1(-100%) | (9) Orandi 10/1, Winner at the Curragh in May. 5/2, third of 12 in handicap at Roscommon (7.4f, soft) 22 days ago. Shortlist material. Slow starts and traffic issues last two runs, best on testing ground, probably needs rain. |

3rd (2) (4/1 -113%) Monasterboice |
4/1(-113%) | (2) Monasterboice 4/1, Latest win at Killarney in August. Good second of 12 in minor event at Galway (8.4f, good, 3/1) 14 days ago. Thriving and respected back in a handicap. Just denied four-timer latest, career high mark, wide draw, vulnerable for win purposes. |

4th (1) (9/1 -20%) Emporio |
9/1(-20%) | (1) Emporio 9/1, Bit below form sixth of 12 in minor event (12/1) at Galway (8.4f, good) 14 days ago, left with lot to do. Could fare better in a handicap. Not a bad effort at Galway last time, has C&D form, ground should suit, not discounted. |

5th (6) (16/1 +0%) Facethepuckout |
16/1(+0%) | (6) Facethepuckout 16/1, Course winner. Latest win at Naas in July. Twenty first of 24 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, good, 100/1) 24 days ago. Had been in good form before that. Won on seasonal return, course winner probably best on soft ground, can't fully discount. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (5/1 +64%) Narmar |
5/1(+64%) | (5) Narmar 5/1, C&D winner. Respectable eighth of 24 in handicap (28/1) at the Curragh (8f, good) 24 days ago, not clear run 2f out and not knocked about. Tongue strap on 1st time. Interesting. Sole win came in a C&D maiden, traffic problems two of last three runs, big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (16/1 -482%) Exquisite Acclaim |
16/1(-482%) | (4) Exquisite Acclaim 16/1, Didn't need to improve to win 7-runner handicap at Gowran (7f, good, 11/1) 41 days ago. Not an obvious type to follow up. First turf win on latest at Gowran (7f), same mark but is drawn wide, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (9/1 +64%) Simply Sideways |
9/1(+64%) | (3) Simply Sideways 9/1, Course winner. Latest win at Gowran in May. Thirteenth of 17 in handicap (22/1) at Galway (8.4f, good to soft) 54 days ago, struggling when badly hampered. Others more persuasive. Six-time winner, back down to last winning mark, won here last year, chance if it rains. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (3/1 +85%) No More Porter |
3/1(+85%) | (8) No More Porter 3/1, Twenty seven runs since last win in 2021. Bit below form thirteenth of 25 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, good, 22/1) 9 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Significantly back up in distance. Not beaten far last twice, went close off this mark in June, rain would enhance his chance. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Despite the fact his winning streak came to an end at Galway, MONASTERBOICE looks difficult to oppose. Reeled in close home at Ballybrit, the likeable three-time winner lost little in defeat. While the only three-year-old in the line-up here, he is the highest rated on a mark of 93. No More Porter should appreciate this drop in class and is given second preference after finishing a fine sixth of 24 in the Cambridgeshire on his penultimate start. His stable companion Exquisite Acclaim won when last seen at Gowran and is sure to have plenty of supporters in his bid to follow-up. Course winners Facethepuckout, Simply Sideways and Narmar all warrant respect, with the latter, who is fitted with a tongue strap for the first time, of definite interest after finishing a never nearer eighth when last seen in the Cambridgeshire.
NARMAR caught the eye in the Irish Cambridgeshire, sure to have finished closer granted a clear run, and he could be the way to go back at the scene of his sole success. Orandi and Monasterboice are a couple of the other likely players.
It might be worth chancing C&D maiden winner NARMAR who has been unlucky in two of his last three starts in premier handicaps.

9th (9) (12/1 +0%) El Regalo |
12/1(+0%) | (9) El Regalo 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Good sixth of 10 in handicap at Navan (14f, good, 7/2) 3 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. 0-5 but is from a shrewd yard, this trip seemed to stretch him at Navan, blinkers go on. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The progressive ROSSO might be able to take this on his first try in handicap company. A real stayer, the Camelot bay will appreciate this step up in trip and is versatile regards ground. Beaten by a neck on recent starts at Galway and Gowran respectively, Highland Bling certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn. The highest rated runner in the line-up, he too is upped in trip and will be ridden by Keithen Kennedy who claims a valuable 7lb. While he failed to make an impact when last seen in a Listed heat at Leopardstown, a much improved performance is likely from the Aidan O'Brien-trained Emphasis. A never nearer fourth at the Curragh last month, Slurricane warrants respect, while dual winner Granite Bay is another for the shortlist.
ROSSO created a good impression when landing the odds without too much difficulty at Roscommon 3 weeks ago and with the prospect of further progress now handicapping, he makes plenty of appeal. Emphasis and Highland Bling could be the main dangers.
The form of EMPHASIS' maiden win at Killarney has received a couple of boosts and he could be on a nice mark for his handicap debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
