LTO Selection:

14:15 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

D DAY ODETTE has benefited from stepping back up in trip on her last couple of starts, winning here over 1m2f before finishing third when tried over an extra furlong at Kempton. She tackles 1m4f for the first time and that may yield further improvement from the daughter of Lawman. Miss Down Under went up 11lb for a brace of victories at Sandown and Ffos Las in September and she is feared most, while Rikona is capable of better than her most recent effort at this track.

None of the quartet can be ruled out but the vote goes to ARENAS DEL TIEMPO who should be spot on after her recent fifth here following an absence and figures on an attractive mark. In-form D Day Odette rates the pick of the Kevin Philippart de Foy-trained duo and appeals as the one to chase her home.

The most solid option is D DAY ODETTE, who won here on her penultimate run before a keeping-on third behind an improver at Kempton.

LTO Selection:

14:45 Lingfield Stakes (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The well-bred SEA FLAWLESS made the perfect start to her career at Newcastle in February, when shrugging off some greenness to put the race to bed. She has to give all of her rivals 2lb, but the manner of that performance suggested better things were on the horizon and it would be no surprise if the four-year-old landed this with the minimum of fuss. Explorers Way is capable of improving from his first run for Brian Ellison here last month, while Capstan should prove a lot happier back on the level, having been pulled up at Newbury when last seen.

SEA FLAWLESS looked a good prospect when going in at the first time of asking at Newcastle and is strongly fancied to defy her penalty and make it 2-2. Old Harrovian has a long absence to overcome but, like the selection, is by Sea The Stars and has more to come so appeals as the one for second spot.

Preference is for SEA FLAWLESS, who won in good style at Newcastle and has plenty of scope for progress on this step up in trip.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MARGARET'S FUCHSIA has filled the runner-up spot on her last two outings, including on handicap debut at Newcastle latest, and the switch of headgear, from cheekpieces to blinkers, may help her to go one better. Outrace struck up a great partnership with Tyrese Cameron throughout the winter months and the drop back to a mile after tackling 1m2f last time is likely to be in his favour, while Mickey Mongoose and Lady Marie appear best of the remainder.

MARGARET'S FUCHSIA has taken a step forward with each of her four runs to date and is fancied to open her account on the back of her recent Newcastle second now blinkers replace the cheekpieces. In-form Outrace seems sure to have a say and is next on the list, although Mickey Mongoose is also weighted to have a say if breathing surgery has the desired effect.

The vote goes to OUTRACE, who has done well in handicaps since December and could resume his progress on this drop back in trip/grade.

LTO Selection:

15:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GONE is best excused her final run of last season when finishing down the field at Leicester in October and she had previously looked a progressive sort. Charlie Johnston's inmate won on her penultimate appearance at Yarmouth two weeks earlier and the switch to the Polytrack shouldn't hinder her chances. Phoenix Glow may have more to offer now upped to 7f again and is feared most, ahead of My Roxanne, who showed a bit more spark when fourth at Newcastle recently.

PHOENIX GLOW remains on a good mark and could double her tally back down in grade. Star of Cotai and Gone are a couple of others to consider.

Preference is for STAR OF COTAI, who made a promising start in handicaps when a front-running third over C&D last Monday.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Navy Drums landed the spoils once more over 6f here last month and is sure to prove popular in his current form. However, the five-year-old does have another 3lb rise to contend with, so it could be worth taking a chance on SHOWDIEMLAD. Lydia Richards' charge wasn't disgraced when finishing fifth in a classified stakes contest at this venue last Monday and he returns to handicaps off what looks a fair mark. Purple Poppy makes most appeal of the remainder.

This won't take much winning and NAVY DRUMS has a good chance in his hat-trick bid. Dutugamunu wasn't seen to best effect here on Wednesday and can go well under Oisin Murphy. Showdiemlad completes the shortlist.

Top of the list is hat-trick seeker NAVY DRUMS, who has won here in his last two starts and is a big player again back up in trip.

LTO Selection:

16:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COVERT MISSION has made the frame on his last couple of starts and those performances suggest that he could be hard to beat in a race of this nature. Ower Starlight won at Kempton a month ago and may prove to be the main threat to the selection, despite a 3lb rise in the ratings. Others to note are Cap D'Antibes and Hul Ah Bah Loo.

HUL AH BAH LOO does need things to fall right to some extent but he's going through a good spell at present and is taken to mow down the reliable Covert Mission towards the finish. Last month's Kempton scorer Ower Starlight is another who should have a part to play.

The vote goes to OWER STARLIGHT, who justified favouritism at Kempton last time and a 3lb rise for that comfortable success looks fair.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD racked up a double with an impressive victory at Kempton last week and a 5lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick here. Porfin filled second place off this mark over C&D last time and could repeat that achievement, while Bobby On The Beat and Come On Girl are the pick of the remainder.

In his current mood a 5 lb penalty doesn't look enough to prevent SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD completing a hat-trick. Hit Mac has dropped to the same mark as when scoring at Wolverhampton in January and can fight it out for minor honours with C&D specialist Come On Girl.

This can go to hat-trick seeker SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD (nap), who looks well treated under a penalty for his easy win at Kempton last week.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
