12:05 Leopardstown Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GALILEO DAME was the pick of these on the Flat and hopefully will take well to hurdles. The Joseph O'Brien-trained filly won a Leopardstown maiden earlier this year and has been quite highly tried since, including when runner-up behind Hamish in a 1m4f Curragh Listed race. Last Kingdom won a 1m4f French bumper in August and is another interesting recruit to hurdles, along with Pepper Noir, who has gained two recent wins when upped to 1m4f at Dundalk. Wendrock was placed on both Flat outings for Lucinda Russell before fetching 82,000gns and boasts the best piece of hurdles form, when placed behind Total Look at Navan last month.

GALILEO DAME is taken to follow in the footsteps of stablemate Intellotto, who made a winning hurdles debut in this 12 months ago. The Galileo Gold filly ended her Flat campaign by chasing home smart performers in 1½m listed events at Naas and the Curragh during the autumn and, if she takes to this game, she could be a real force in the juvenile hurdle division. Wendrock shaped very well indeed on his debut in this sphere at Navan and is feared most ahead of French bumper winner Last Kingdom.

Preference is for WENDROCK who ran a promising race behind a subsequent maiden winner on his hurdles debut at Navan.

(7) No Flies On Him 50/1, Useful hurdler. 50/1, thirteenth of 18 in novice chase at Navan (20.7f, soft) 20 days ago. Perhaps better judged on his encouraging chase debut sixth at the same course last month, albeit he has plenty to find with Nurburgring and Birdie Or Bust on that evidence. Still, there is potential there.
Course winner over timber at this meeting last year, poor in both chases, watch market.

(10) Western Diego 16/1, Useful hurdler. Latest win at Fairyhouse in January. Off 9 months ahead of this chase debut. Winner of sole start between the flags, which augurs well ahead of this switch to the larger obstacles. Interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting, particularly in relation to his 3 stablemates.
Chasing debutant, placed in a Grade 2 novice hurdle latest, might prefer softer ground.

Form of the maiden hurdle he won at Punchestown (16.5f, soft) when last seen in November 2023 looks strong (second has since won a Grade 1) and he looks the pick of the 4 Willie Mullins-trained representatives, a yard which has won this race 3 times since 2019.

12:35 Leopardstown Maiden Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

IT'S FOR ME may prove the pick of four runners from Willie Mullins' yard. The point-to-point winner was also a smart sort in bumpers and made a successful start over hurdles when beating Caldwell Potter in a 22-runner Punchestown maiden over a year ago. The French-bred is without a run since but remains a gelding of considerable potential. Lisnagar Fortune also won a Punchestown maiden hurdle in good style, while Shanbally Kid, third in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival, has failed to impress with his jumping in two chase starts. There is little to choose between Galway Hurdle winner Nurburgring and Birdie Or Bust on running behind Down Memory Lane at Navan, while What's Up Darling and Western Diego are others to consider.

This has the makings of an informative race and BIRDIE OR BUST could be the answer. She signed off her novice hurdle campaign by finishing third in a Grade 2 at the Cheltenham Festival and wasn't far behind Nurburgring, who had race-fitness on his side, when fourth on chase debut at Navan. Nurburgring is a much-respected main danger, while It's For Me, who took the notable scalp of Caldwell Potter on his sole hurdles start 13 months ago, is a fascinating chasing debutant.

NURBURGRING gets weight from his older rivals, he has shaped with promise in both chase starts and JJ Slevin is back on board

13:10 Leopardstown Conditions Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DINOBLUE was a model of consistency last season, including when taking this race in decisive fashion, and should benefit from her reappearance behind Energumene at Cork. Stablemate Gaelic Warrior is the obvious threat and impressed when easily beating Found A Fifty in the Arkle at Cheltenham. However, he did disappoint at this venue last term and is probably best suited by a right-handed track. Found A Fifty has won all three outings since that Cheltenham Festival reverse and beat Solness (now 7lb worse off) by a neck over 2m at Navan last month. 2023 Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Marine Nationale had a curtailed campaign over fences last season and should progress from his reappearance at Naas last month.

DINOBLUE was the Willie Mullins first-string when winning this race last year and while that won't be the case this time round with Gaelic Warrior on the prowl, she has race-fitness on her side having chasing home another classy stablemate in Energumene on her recent reappearance at Cork and will be spot-on for this assignment. Gaelic Warrior was so impressive when brushing Found A Fifty aside in the Arkle and, if able to deliver a performance akin to that, he will obviously be a big threat.

GAELIC WARRIOR was a spectacular winner of last year's Arkle and if he reproduces that level of form, he'll be very hard to beat.

13:45 Leopardstown Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ROMEO COOLIO had Sea Of Sands staying on about three lengths back in third when beaten at odds-on in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse last time. The Kayf Tara gelding, a smart bumper performer last season, was a wide-margin winner on his hurdling debut at Down Royal and is given another chance to show his class. Stablemate Bleu De Vassy has impressed on both hurdle starts this term, including when staying on strongly to land a Grade 3 over this trip at Navan last month. Karniquet is certainly in the 'could be anything' bracket after an easy win on his Irish debut at Tramore, while Karafon also won with some authority at Clonmel.

Though this represents a big step up in class, KARNIQUET may well take it in his stride having looked a fine prospect when making a winning start for his powerful new connections in a Tramore maiden last month. Gordon Elliott fields two strong candidates in Romeo Coolio and Bleu de Vassy, with the former marginally preferred of the duo, despite failing to land the odds in the Royal Bond last time. The selection's stablemates Karafon and Sea of Sands should also make their presence felt.

A tentative vote goes to KARAFON who always looked like the winner in the closing stages at Clonmel and ran with credit here last term

14:20 Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ETHICAL DIAMOND is a useful sort on the Flat and may now open his account over hurdles switching to handicap company after a break of six months and fitted with a hood for the first time. He was bought for 320,000gns after winning a Limerick maiden and only gave best in the closing stages last time when placed in a 1m4f handicap at Royal Ascot. Enniskerry had Suprise Package three lengths behind when runner-up to UK raider Washington in a valuable handicap at Fairyhouse, while Batman Girac was highly tried last season and may benefit from this switch to a handicap. Special Cadeau has shown promise in maidens, while Pinot Gris, Lieber Nicc and Cheltenham Festival winner Lark In The Mornin are others for the shortlist.

Cases can be made for any number of these but few arrive here in better form than WEE CHARLIE, who has sprouted wings since joining this yard and the way he went through the race when runner-up at Thurles recently strongly suggested that he is still ahead of his mark. Unexposed trio Diamond Nora, Ethical Diamond and Pinot Gris are all feared (in that order of preference), while Enniskerry and Lieber Nicc are also appealing. Jacovec Cavern hails from a shrewd yard and needs a second look, too.

DIAMOND NORA got her head back in front at Limerick on return and the form is working out; she's entitled to come on for that run

15:00 Leopardstown Handicap Chase 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PANDA BOY can hopefully make it third-time lucky in this valuable handicap. The Martin Brassil-trained gelding won a 3m handicap hurdle at the Christmas Festival here in 2021 and has been placed in the latest two renewals of this race, including when runner-up to Meetingofthewaters (now 16lb worse off) 12 months ago. Stablemate Desertmore House had a nice prep for this over hurdles last time, while Will Do stayed well over hurdles and will benefit from this step up in trip on his handicap chase debut after just three runs over fences. Galway Plate winner Pinkerton, Nick Rockett, Perceval Legallois and Midnight Our Fred are others to consider in a wide-open event.

THREE CARD BRAG is armed with an appealing profile having shaped well on each of his three starts over fences last season, including when third to Spillane's Tower in a Punchestown Grade 1 during the spring. On that evidence he is starting off in a handicap on a fair mark and a recent spin over hurdles will have teed him up nicely for this. There could be more to come from Hgranca de Thaix this season and he is second choice ahead of Perceval Legallois and last year's winner Meetingofthewaters.

Gordon Elliott has solid claims in this with WILL DO (nap) who has been running well over shorter and should improve now handicapping

15:30 Leopardstown NH Flat Race 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ECLIPSE CHASER is out of a bumper winner who has already produced four useful winners, notably Grade 2 scorer Westerner Lady. The son of Jet Away was unlucky not to collect on his only point-to-point start when falling in the lead two out and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to stable companion Leaky Cauldron, who won in good style between the flags for Colin Bowe last year. American Jukebox is a half-brother to American Mike and should benefit from his debut under Rules behind the selection's stablemate Full Confession at Fairyhouse last month. Karate Kid was supported on debut when staying on well behind Belle Le Grand at Fairyhouse.

Jockey bookings suggest that ECLIPSE CHASER is the Willie Mullins first-string and he is taken to make a winning Rules debut. The 4-y-o appeared to be holding all the aces when coming down at the second-last on his sole start between the flags in March. American Jukebox should come on for his spin at Fairyhouse last month and, with this stiffer test likely to be in his favour, he is feared most ahead of Eclipse Chaser's stablemate Leaky Cauldron. God Help Me is also shortlisted.

A chance is taken on GOD HELP ME. A 4l runner up in a Kirkistown point, that race has already produced two winners under Rules.
