The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
KOPEK DES BORDES looked a useful sort when drawing clear in the closing stages for an impressive debut victory in a valuable bumper at the Fairyhouse Easter meeting and gets the vote to make a successful transition to hurdles. Whinney Hill stepped forward from a run at Punchestown in October when scoring in good style the following month at Navan, while Yeshil also represents powerful connections and made a pleasing start when beating all bar Sermandzarak in the Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival. Don't Tell Jack showed some promise on his hurdles debut at Navan, while Zillow and Auntie Lacey are others to consider.
KOPEK DES BORDES created an excellent impression when running out a wide-margin winner of his sole outing in bumpers at Fairyhouse in March and looks one to follow now switching to hurdling. Whinney Hill, Kawaboomga and Yeshil head up the opposition in what is likely to prove an informative maiden.
This looks like a suitable launch pad for KOPEK DES BORDES who created a strong impression in a bumper at Fairyhouse in March

Should have a good future over hurdles. Bumper winner on this card a year ago; runs well fresh so respected on hurdles debut. |

100/1(-100%) | (1) Glenashling 100/1, Offered something to work on when sixth of 14 in maiden hurdle (7/1) at Punchestown (16.6f, soft) on NH debut 16 days ago. Probably one for later, though. Novicey jumping and took a hold on recent hurdles debut at Punchestown; improvement likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (125/1 +50%) Times A Wastin |
125/1(+50%) | (13) Times A Wastin 125/1, Little impact in bumpers so easy to look elsewhere on this switch to hurdling. Nothing points' and bumpers, best watched on hurdles debut. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
REDEMPTION DAY is a top-class bumper performer and makes a belated switch to hurdles. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding made a successful debut here three years ago and following an absence of 20 months, returned last season to record a further two victories, including landing the Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival with William Munny over 10 lengths behind in third. Point-to-point winner Workahead had Joueur Masque about 10 lengths behind when third in the 25-runner Navan maiden won by the selection's odds-on stablemate Jasmin De Vaux, while Polemon was placed in a Thurles maiden that has been working out quite well. Goldinthemountains and Jacob's Ladder are both useful bumper winners.
REDEMPTION DAY comes to hurdling quite late but still rates a most exciting prospect based on his bumper exploits (Grade 1 winner in May), so he's taken to get his career in this sphere off to the perfect start. William Munny is another who boasts good-quality bumper form and can make his presence felt, with Workahead also feared following an encouraging hurdling debut at Navan earlier in the month.
Top-class bumper performer REDEMPTION DAY can make a winning start over hurdles, Workahead and William Munny the main dangers

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (9/1 +25%) Its Bilbo |
9/1(+25%) | (3) Its Bilbo 9/1, Built on hurdling debut form (for D. Windrif) when winning 21-runner juvenile hurdle (7/4) at Punchestown (16.7f, soft) on IRE/NH debut 33 days ago, driven out. Open to further progress. Created good impression on Punchestown hurdles debut; type to progress but upped in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/4 -83%) Willy De Houelle |
11/4(-83%) | (6) Willy De Houelle 11/4, Debut winner in France who impressed with the way he went through the race when 1½ lengths second of 6 to Naturally Nimble in Grade 3 at Fairyhouse (16.5f, good, 1/4) 25 days ago, travelling best. Meets that rival on 3 lb better terms here and has leading claims in a refitted hood. Fairyhouse Grade 3 second to Naturally Nimble now hooded; ideally may want it softer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (25/1 +62%) Prairie Angel |
25/1(+62%) | (10) Prairie Angel 25/1, Progressive on the Flat, winning a pair of 1½m handicaps in October and made it 2 from 2 in this sphere at Down Royal (16.9f) last month. Flopped at Cheltenham but wasted no time getting back on track when second at Newbury since. This is a stiff task, though. 8th (9) (7/1 -40%) Murcia |
7/1(-40%) | (9) Murcia 7/1, Produced an effort verging on useful when winning 6-runner juvenile hurdle (listed) at Auteuil (17.4f, soft) by 12 lengths in June. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (66/1 -65%) Mo Ghille Mar |
66/1(-65%) | (8) Mo Ghille Mar 66/1, Fairly useful on Flat (stays 13f), successful twice in 2024, little impression in listed event last time. Thrown in at the deep end on hurdle debut. Decent middle-distance Flat performer who wants a sound surface; stiff task on hurdles bow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (100/1 +0%) Star Runner |
100/1(+0%) | (5) Star Runner 100/1, Fairly useful maiden on the Flat but went backwards from hurdling debut when only fifth of 11 in juvenile hurdle (10/3) at Navan (16f, good to soft) 39 days ago and will surely be outclassed here. Promising hurdles debut at Cork but disappointing since; fair bit to find. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WILLY DE HOUELLE had Punchestown winner Its Bilbo about eight lengths behind when successful on debut in France and was backed as if defeat was out of the question on his first start for current connections in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse. The selection was headed in the closing stages by the reopposing Naturally Nimble but may now reverse the placings on these better terms and now going left-handed. The other three runners from Closutton have also enjoyed success in France, including Murcia in a Listed race at Auteuil, while Hello Neighbour has won both outings on the Flat and is an interesting recruit to the jumping game.
WILLY DE HOUELLE was turned over at short odds by Naturally Nimble in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse at the beginning of the month, but he impressed with the way he went through the race and is taken to reverse the form now that he meets that rival on 3 lb better terms in a refitted hood. Murcia ran to a useful level when opening her account by a wide margin in an Auteuil listed event in June and strong market support for her would put a slightly different slant on matters.
On similar ground NATURALLY NIMBLE can confirm Fairyhouse form with Willy De Houelle

9th (19) (16/1 +36%) Depalma |
16/1(+36%) | (19) Depalma 16/1, 9/1, failed to repeat last effort when eleventh of 19 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, soft) 33 days ago. Bounce back needed. Second in a maiden at Wexford in October, evidence of two handicap runs is not persuasive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (33/1 -83%) Banana Three |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Banana Three 33/1, Fairly useful winner at 12f on Flat. 15/2, creditable third of 12 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (15.5f, good to soft) 41 days ago, keeping on run-in. Flat winner, fair third at Punchestown on latest, needs to find a bit extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (9/2 +18%) Addragoole |
9/2(+18%) | (1) Addragoole 9/2, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 11/10 and hooded for 1st time, creditable second of 14 in novice hurdle at Gowran (16f, good to soft) 47 days ago. Into handicaps now and seems likely to go well again. Runner-up on all five outings including in a bumper won by the smart Windbeneathmywings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) (9/1 +10%) Love Me |
9/1(+10%) | (14) Love Me 9/1, Progressed again switched to handicap company when winning 23-runner event at Navan (16f, good to soft) 39 days ago. Will go on improving. 8lb higher than for Navan win in a 23-runner race, has potential for sustained improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (4) (28/1 +15%) Itsalladream |
28/1(+15%) | (4) Itsalladream 28/1, 15/2, lost action when pulled up in novice hurdle at Galway (20.7f, heavy) 60 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Picked up an injury at Galway in October, makes handicap debut, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (9/1 +25%) Miss Maxfort |
9/1(+25%) | (11) Miss Maxfort 9/1, Improved on hurdling debut form when winning 14-runner maiden at Wexford (16.4f, heavy, 16/1) 59 days ago, running on. Opening mark looks fair and must enter the reckoning. Wexford maiden winner, promising handicap prospect for a small County Tipperary yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (8) (14/1 -115%) Lygon Lad |
14/1(-115%) | (8) Lygon Lad 14/1, Showed improved form when very good second of 13 in handicap hurdle at Navan (16f, good to soft) 11 days ago, albeit no match for winner. Likely to give another good account. Second over this trip on handicap debut at Navan, winner Brave Troop is highly progressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (10) (80/1 -142%) Kingdom Calling |
80/1(-142%) | (10) Kingdom Calling 80/1, Lightly-raced winner under NH rules. Last of 8 in novice hurdle (25/1) at Wexford (16.4f, heavy) 59 days ago. Tongue strap back on for handicap debut. Last of eight in a novice event at Wexford, hard to be confident about his prospects here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (16) (66/1 0%) Aine's Lad |
66/1(0%) | (16) Aine's Lad 66/1, Eighth of 13 in handicap hurdle (28/1) at Navan (16f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Has work to do. Solid form in maiden hurdles, has failed to make presence felt in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (6) (4/1 +11%) Johnny Blue |
4/1(+11%) | (6) Johnny Blue 4/1, Bumper winner who shaped well on first run since leaving Nicky Henderson when good fourth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, soft) 18 days ago. Remains open to improvement. Promising fourth at Cork on Irish/handicap debut, may find the required improvement now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
19th (18) (40/1 +39%) Scott Lang |
40/1(+39%) | (18) Scott Lang 40/1, 7/2, creditable second of 9 in handicap at Dundalk (12f) 41 days ago, no match for winner. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Below form on last hurdle run. Flat winner in 2022, still a maiden after eight hurdle attempts, fair recent Flat form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ARCH ENEMY has proved a great servant to current connections, winning five times on the Flat including at this venue, and took advantage of an attractive mark over hurdles when successful at Fairyhouse last time. An 8lb rise may not be enough to prevent a quick follow up, with Jack Kearney's claim a bonus. Miss Maxfort had subsequent Navan handicap winner Love Me 11 lengths behind in third when taking a Wexford maiden on just her second start and both fillies have plenty of scope for improvement. Lygon Lad beat all bar the progressive Brave Troop on his handicap debut at Navan and remains on a competitive mark.
LOVE ME took a sizeable step forward when landing a big-field handicap at Navan last month and, with the performance supported by the timefigure, she's taken to defy an 8 lb rise and follow up. Johnny Blue shaped encouragingly on his recent stable debut at Cork and is second choice, with Addragoole another to consider having been handed a fair-looking opening mark.
Normal improvement from his first Irish start at Cork might be enough to see JOHNNY BLUE score for Willie Mullins

1st (3) (7/2 -100%) Croke Park |
7/2(-100%) | (3) Croke Park 7/2, Fell short at the highest level over hurdles but belied odds of 22/1 when making all in the 5-runner Drinmore at Fairyhouse (2½m, good) at the beginning of this month. Had the run of the race that day but open to further improvement nonetheless. Belied his status as 22-1 outsider of five when making all to win Grade 1 Drinmore Chase. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (10/11 +44%) Better Days Ahead |
10/11(+44%) | (1) Better Days Ahead 10/11, Point/bumper winner who reached a smart level over hurdles, landing the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham in March. Claimed the notable scalp of Slade Steel when making a winning chase debut over 20.7f at Navan and he possesses the potential to take high rank in the 2½m-3m novice division this winter. Too strong for Slade Steel on chasing debut over an extended 2m4f at Navan, smart prospect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/1 +31%) Buddy One |
11/1(+31%) | (2) Buddy One 11/1, Smart hurdler who made the frame in top stayers' events at the big festivals during the spring. Landed the odds in a 3-runner affair at Galway (22.5f, good to soft) on debut in this sphere in October but has come up short in listed events the last twice. Looks up against it. Developed into a smart staying hurdler last season, plenty to prove as a novice chaser. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/4 +31%) Stellar Story |
11/4(+31%) | (4) Stellar Story 11/4, Smart performer over hurdles, winner of the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March, and landed the odds when making a winning chase debut in the Florida Pearl at Punchestown (24.2f, soft) last month, all out to hold on. Open to improvement. Last season's Albert Bartlett winner, only workmanlike when winning on chase debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BETTER DAYS AHEAD was a smart sort over hurdles last term, winning the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and he made a winning start over fences at Navan last month. The Milan gelding showed a tendency to jump left in the straight but finished strongly to beat Slade Steel over 2m4f. The selection had Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle winner Stellar Story behind when third in a 3m Grade 1 novice hurdle at Punchestown last spring. Croke Park scored on his chasing debut over 3m at Fairyhouse and again made all when gamely holding on in the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase at the same venue. Stellar Story was probably unsuited by the slow pace when narrowly beating two stablemates in a Grade 2 over this trip at Punchestown last time.
BETTER DAYS AHEAD claimed the notable scalp of Slade Steel in making a successful switch to chasing at Navan on his reappearance and appeals as the sort to take high rank in the 2½m-3m novice division this winter, so he's narrowly preferred to his stablemate Croke Park, who held on gamely to land the Drinmore at the beginning of the month. Stellar Story was hardly impressive in landing the odds in the Florida Pearl but is surely capable of a good deal better.
Despite the fact that Croke Park already has a Grade 1 win in the bag, slight preference is for BETTER DAYS AHEAD

1st (11) (10/1 -54%) An Peann Dearg |
10/1(-54%) | (11) An Peann Dearg 10/1, Creditable second of 6 in novice chase (10/3) at Wexford (19.7f, heavy) 60 days ago. Can go well again. Needs to improve and trip/ground possibly not ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (6/1 -9%) The Folkes Tiara |
6/1(-9%) | (6) The Folkes Tiara 6/1, Bounced back to best to win 10-runner handicap chase at Fairyhouse (17f, good) 26 days ago, driven out. Stable having good spell. Another bold show likely. Comeback Fairyhouse win over The Kings Of Prs augurs well; rider's claim a positive too. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (11/2 +0%) The King Of Prs |
11/2(+0%) | (7) The King Of Prs 11/2, Good ¾-length second of 10 to The Folkes Tiara in handicap chase (13/2) at Fairyhouse (17f, good) 26 days ago. Likely to be in the thick of the action with a repeat. Fairyhouse comeback second to The Folkes Tiara; bit more needed at these weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (13) (4/1 +38%) One Last Tango |
4/1(+38%) | (13) One Last Tango 4/1, Fairly useful winner at 16f over hurdles. 17/2, not seen to best effect when sixth of 12 in handicap chase at Clonmel (18.3f, soft) 23 days ago. Not ruled out. Recent handicap debut effort at Clonmel leaves him with a lot to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (20/1 +9%) Tuckmill |
20/1(+9%) | (14) Tuckmill 20/1, 2 wins from 5 runs this season. 9/2, won 7-runner handicap chase at Down Royal (16.4f, good to soft) 55 days ago. This is tougher. Down Royal winner 4lb wrong here so fair bit to find for a follow-up win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (12/1 +57%) Mr Saxobeat |
12/1(+57%) | (12) Mr Saxobeat 12/1, Unseated rider early in handicap chase at Navan (20.7f, soft, 22/1) 19 days ago. In good form prior to that. Consistent in lower-grade handicaps than this but drop in trip may not be ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (25/1 -127%) Railway Hurricane |
25/1(-127%) | (5) Railway Hurricane 25/1, Unreliable sort who produced one to his better efforts when 2 lengths fourth of 10 to The Folkes Tiara in handicap chase (28/1) at Fairyhouse (17f, good) 26 days ago, suited by way race developed. Recent staying-on fourth to The Folkes Tiara at Fairyhouse puts him in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (6/1 +63%) Canal End |
6/1(+63%) | (10) Canal End 6/1, Fairly useful winner at 20f over hurdles. 33/1, shaped with a bit more encouragement in this sphere when fifth of 10 in novice chase at Punchestown (16.4f, soft) 16 days ago, finishing with running left. Makes handicap chase debut. Likely to improve further. Potential improver entering handicaps but may want a bit further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (18/1 -80%) Bowmore |
18/1(-80%) | (3) Bowmore 18/1, Latest win in chase at Tipperary in July. Sixth of 8 in maiden (5/4) at Dundalk (12f) on flat debut 29 days ago. Switches from Flat to chase. Yard in good form. Makes handicap chase debut. Not out of it when faller two out behind San Salvador in Grade 3 at Roscommon; stiff mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (5/1 +29%) San Salvador |
5/1(+29%) | (2) San Salvador 5/1, Creditable 13 lengths fourth of 8 to L'eau Du Sud in Gr 2 chase (25/1) at Cheltenham (15.9f, good) 40 days ago. Makes handicap chase debut. Career-best despite some iffy jumping at Cheltenham latest; needs to jump better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (7/1 +65%) Broomfield Bijou |
7/1(+65%) | (9) Broomfield Bijou 7/1, Latest win in chase at Wexford in July but ran below form when sixth of 9 in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (20f, good, 10/3) 25 days ago. Others more persuasive. Excuses latest; drop back in trip to suit and don't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (16/1 +52%) Final Orders |
16/1(+52%) | (4) Final Orders 16/1, C&D winner who ran poorly back in handicap company when only tenth of 14 at Killarney (20.8f, good to soft) 124 days ago. 2022 winner but on a long losing run; handicapper relenting but others preferred. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BROOMFIELD BIJOU has gained all three wins at around this distance including when switched to fences at Wexford this summer. The Philip Dempsey-trained mare again showed promise when runner-up to Jasko Des Dames at Punchestown and probably found 2m4f too far at Fairyhouse last time. Last year's winner The Folkes Tiara had The King Of Prs and Railway Hurricane close behind when scoring over this trip at Fairyhouse last time and there shouldn't be much to choose between the trio again, while Final Orders and Grange Walk are also both past winners of this.
AN PEANN DEARG wasted no time getting back on track when runner-up to a subsequent winner at Wexford in October and could be the answer now returned to handicap company. Affordale Fury shaped as if amiss when last seen 13 months ago but retains plenty of potential as a chaser, with old rivals The King of Prs and The Folkes Tiara completing the shortlist.
Last year's scorer THE FOLKES TIARA comes into the race on the back of a fine comeback win at Fairyhouse and can follow up

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WALKS IN JUNE won a Dawstown point-to-point in good style for Colin Bowe in May. The form of that race has been boosted since and it will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market on debut under Rules for Henry de Bromhead. Ma Jacks Hill also won between the flags in the spring and was sent off at odds-on when headed close home in the Fairyhouse bumper won by stablemate William Butler. Green Splendour made a promising debut last season when fourth to Regent's Stroll in a valuable Newbury bumper that has been working out well since, and he's another to bear in mind.
An interesting bumper to conclude the card with MA JACKS HILL edging the vote having shaped with plenty of promise when third on last month's Rules debut at Fairyhouse. Green Splendour and Burrows Drive are considered the main threats before market clues.
BURROWS DRIVE finished third in a strong Punchestown bumper in April and will be tough to beat if he's ready to roll on his return
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
