|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) ( ) Kalixa |
() | (7) Kalixa , Kingman filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 1m winner Kalikapour. Sixth of 11 in maiden at Gowran (8f, good, 11/1) on debut 28 days ago. Bred to need time and distance and should improve. Ran green when making her debut over this trip at Gowran; should have improved from that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ( ) Eternal Spirit |

Ninth of 16 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 18/1) on debut 14 days ago, better for the run and not knocked about. Open to progress. Promise on debut over 7f at the Curragh; can run well but looks the stable's second-string. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) ( ) Dawn Spirit |
() | (2) Dawn Spirit , Foaled January 26. Australia filly. Dam unraced half-sister to smart German winner up to 11f Narrativo, including Group 2. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and interesting to see a market move. By a quality sire and hails from a strong German damline; has to command respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) ( ) Faberi |
() | (4) Faberi , Foaled February 22. Holy Roman Emperor filly. Dam 12.3f-15f winner. Finished sixth in a barrier trial at this track in August; will need to better that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) ( ) Grace My Love |
() | (5) Grace My Love , Foaled January 2. Parish Hall filly. Dam, 2-y-o 5f winner, half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner (stayed 9.5f) Freedom of Speech. Starting out pretty late but worth a look. Solid pedigree but worth a market check from this renowned source. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MINNIE HAUK was a very costly acquisition and connections will be trying to land a late-season maiden with her before she goes on to better things next year. She sets the standard courtesy of her runner-up berth over the same trip in Cork. Joseph O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle continue to be a formidable partnership and they team up with Australia filly Dawn Spirit, who has to be taken seriously on debut. Jim Bolger's newcomer Grace My Love is one to keep an eye on in the market as she actually holds a Group 3 entry this month. There are winners in Guilty Pleasure's pedigree and she can improve upon an opening eighth at the Curragh.
€1.85m Frankel filly MINNIE HAUK made a very promising start when second at Cork over this trip recently and could be hard to beat with improvement likely. Calrissiana has races in her judged on her Gowran run, while Kalixa and Eternal Spirit can do better.
With improvement likely from her promising Cork debut, MINNIE HAUK should be able to go one better once handling this softer ground.

150/1(+0%) | (10) The Angelic Doctor 150/1, Once-raced colt. Last of 14 in maiden (28/1) at Naas (7f, good to firm) on debut 30 days ago. Tailed off when 28-1 on debut at Naas last month and hard to fancy on the back of that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Aidan O'Brien has an excellent record in this race and his SERIOUS CONTENDER could take the honours. This Wootton Bassett colt is going the right way after a fourth in Naas and a second place at Tipperary, and he holds some eyecatching entries. Another son of Wootton Bassett, Kilcrea Rock, arrives here on the back of a decent opening fourth in the Curragh, so he is a threat. Dermot Weld takes the wraps off Irish 2,000 Guineas entrant Raykir and a big run wouldn't be surprising. O'Brien's once-raced Medallion and his newcomer Glimmer Of Hope cannot be ruled out, while Sujet has shown ability in two starts.
KILCREA ROCK made a really promising start behind Sujet at the Curragh and might be able to improve past that one now and open his account. Serious Contender seems sure to win races judged on his Tipperary showing and has to be in the reckoning.
KILCREA ROCK was less than a length behind Sujet at the Curragh, doing best of those from rear and he should progress second time out

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Aidan O'Brien's TRINITY COLLEGE holds a lofty rating of 103 after a 12-length romp in a Galway maiden and a close fourth in the Beresford Stakes. He only gave best in the closing stages at the Curragh and a reproduction of that effort ought to see him on the premises. O'Brien's Thrice wasn't troubled in landing short odds in a maiden at Listowel and looks ready for a step up in class. Joseph O'Brien's Emit handled plenty of cut in the ground when successful at Tipperary and also has the advantage of being proven over this trip. His stablemate Wemightakedlongway won well off the front in Cork and has plenty of potential.
TRINITY COLLEGE continued his run-to-run progression despite not being seen to best effect when fourth in a Group 2 at the Curragh 3 weeks ago and looks the one to beat back down in class. His stablemate Thrice rates the main threat after his impressive maiden win at Listowel.
Aidan O'Brien won this in 2023 and has solid claims of landing this with TRINITY COLLEGE (nap) who wasn't beaten far in a Gr 2 latest

This could be a very informative fillies' maiden. TAKEMETOTHEMOON is a half-sister to the mighty City Of Troy, which makes her of obvious interest. She holds an Irish 1,000 Guineas entry and represents powerful connections. Dermot Weld introduces another Guineas entrant in Bella Isabella, who is out of a mare who won at Group 3 level for the stable. Sea The Stars filly Candleford Green made 230,000gns at the sales and is a fascinating runner for Willie Mullins as her sister has been picking up big cheques in America this year. There is plenty to like about Guarded, a stablemate of Takemetothemoon, on paper, while Valencia has been out three times and her runner-up spot at Leopardstown reads well.
VALENCIA has shown more than enough to suggest she can win a maiden, including when fourth in a valuable sales event at the Curragh 3 weeks ago. Takemetothemoon is the standout among the newcomers being a half-sister to connections' top-class performer City of Troy
From the ones with experience, LADY IN PARIS appeals most after her encouraging run at the Curragh where she made up late ground

EXACTLY's consistency could be rewarded. Since shedding her maiden tag at this track in July, she has posted runner-up finishes in a Group 3 and a Group 2 before finishing third in a pair of Group 1 contests. She is ground versatile, is comfortably the highest-rated horse in the field, and is advantaged by the weights. Her stablemate Antelope Canyon just lost out on an enormous payout in the Goffs Million by a head at the Curragh last month. He has plenty of talent. Slower ground is an unknown for Comanche Brave, who has good form in the book, while similar sentiments apply to One Smack Mac. Celtic Motif isn't one to rule out.
Aidan O'Brien looks to hold a very strong hand here and his EXACTLY is fancied to bag a second C&D success on the back of her excellent Prix Marcel Boussac third last time out. Stablemate Antelope Canyon rates a big threat though if continuining his race-by-race improvement, with Comanche Brave and Last Encore the pick of the rest for minor honours.
It's hard to get away from EXACTLY after the filly's cracking effort in the Marcel Boussac and she relished testing ground that day

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Plenty of Irish 2,000 Guineas entrants populate this field. CADOGAN ran a stormer when pipped by a short head on debut at the Curragh in May. The horse who beat him has since landed a pair of Group 2 contests, so the form is very strong. He encounters very different ground, but his sire's progeny are showing themselves to be ground-versatile. Wild Sapphire came home strongly for third at the Curragh this month and is a major player. Serengeti finished well to be a close sixth after losing his place in the same race and looks sure to come on from that opening effort, while Game Point is a debutant worth a market check.
Aidan O'Brien's SERENGETI really caught the eye when a running-on debut sixth at the Curragh two weeks ago and looks ready to take a big step forward now so he can edge out form-choice Cadogan, who might have to settle for runner-up spot once more. Wild Sapphire, Twain and Game Point appeal as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.
This can go the way of CADOGAN who chased home Henri Matisse on debut and the step up in trip on soft ground is likely to suit

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Joseph O'Brien's DESMOND CASTLE came with a barnstorming run in the Curragh, but wandered in the closing stages and finished second. He is a work in progress and the ground will be an unknown, but he clearly has an engine. Medici Venus has to give plenty of weight away, but her form has a solid look to it. She made the breakthrough in Listowel and there could be more to come from her. O'Brien's Montpellier Green was the horse who beat Desmond Castle by half a length in the Curragh so he merits automatic respect. Yamal could respond to blinkers, while Faoladh shouldn't be discounted in the first-time tongue-strap.
There should be more to come from MONTPELLIER GREEN on the back of his Curragh defeat of Desmond Castle and he can make light of a 9 lb rise. His reopposing stablemate may give him most to think about again, ahead of last month's Listowel scorer Medici Venus.
Montpellier Green beat stablemate DESMOND CASTLE in a 7f Curragh nursery last time but the latter can take revenge.
Ths is the racecard key.
