The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
With a name like SPECIAL WAN, it might be worth taking a chance on the Pat Foley-trained debutant. A half-sister to Yerwanthere, who managed to win here on debut last summer, the Belardo bay won't have to be a star to claim this weak affair. There was just half-a-length between Danvers Gold and Local Girl when they finished second and third at Roscommon earlier this month, and the 79-rated former should be able to confirm the form now. Finsceal Go Deo is without a win in eight starts and while she should give a good account of herself, she may have to settle for minor honours yet again. Apache Squaw is out of a sister to dual-Group 3 winner Sruthan and it'll be interesting to see how she fares on debut, while fellow debutant Spirit Of Paradise is another that warrants respect.
This can go to DANVERS GOLD, who boasts the best form and stepped up on her reappearance run when second at Roscommon earlier this month. Finsceal Go Deo and Local Girl look the obvious dangers.
A mark of 70 seems to leave her with plenty to find but FINSCEAL GO DEO has shown promise in 2 of her 3 starts this term and can score

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
With seven debutants in the line-up and not much form to go on, the market should be informative. A fine third on debut over the course and distance last month, SLI NA GHEALAI is one of the safer options. She stayed on nicely in the closing stages on that occasion and finished a place ahead of Mary The Priest, who had won on her previous start at Listowel. Courageous Strike also ran a fine race on debut, finishing second at Roscommon in May, with subsequent winner Lia Fail back in fifth. The chestnut colt is a half-brother to Rich, who managed to win on debut, finishing down the field on her most recent start in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot. With Ger Lyons saddling two of the 18 set to take part, it's interesting that Colin Keane is aboard the Noel Meade-trained Caught U Looking. Sixth behind the impressive Ylang Ylang on debut at the Curragh, she should be able to build on that performance. Stromberg, Mo Ghille Mar and Edvard Grieg are the most interesting of the newcomers.
Jessica Harrington has saddled the winner of this maiden twice in recent years and MO GHILLE MAR is an appealing newcomer for the yard. She holds an entry in the Moyglare Stakes and the hint should be taken if the market speaks in her favour. Fellow newcomer Stromberg, who also represents a yard with a good recent record in this race and holds a Group-race entry, is also of strong interest. Sli Na Ghealai and Courageous Strike look the pick of those with experience.
Some of the newcomers have Group-race entries, but SLI NA GHEALAI holds a Group 1 entry herself and can build upon her promising C&D bow

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (5/1 -25%) Super Cub |
5/1(-25%) | (10) Super Cub 5/1, Run creditably in recent starts, latest when fourth of 12 in handicap at Listowel (7.1f, good to soft, 5/2) 47 days ago. Stable in good form. Holds solid claims. Has failed to add to 2yo maiden win but loads of placed form; neck second at Gowran in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (22/1 +12%) Little Jo |
22/1(+12%) | (6) Little Jo 22/1, Latest win at Nottingham in May. First run since leaving Gemma Tutty when twelfth of 14 in handicap (14/1) at Bellewstown (7.8f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Work to do. Nine wins in Britain, two of them over 1m in May; well held on Irish debut at Bellewstown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Very few can be safely ruled out in this competitive affair. Fitted with a first-time tongue-strap, WHO NOT WHAT went down by just a neck here early last month. Headed in the closing stages on that occasion, he should be suited by this slight drop in trip to seven-furlongs. The aforementioned tongue-strap remains in place, with cheekpieces added now. A five-time winner in the UK, Invincible Larne ran a cracker on his debut for John McConnell over the course and distance, finishing second after attempting to make all. Cillian McConnell retains the ride and again claims a valuable 7lb. Eastern Wind also attempted to do it from the front here last week, ultimately going down narrowly by a short head and a head. Already a course winner, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to take this. Successful in a claimer at Bellewstown recently, Sunday Sovereign is sure to have plenty of supporters, while other leading hopes are Super Cub and Dabana.
WHO NOT WHAT upped his game when second here last month and remains low mileage. He can open his account. Super Cub and Invincible Larne are feared most.
Plenty of these went forward last time; one who will be played later is PUNK POET who looked on the way back to form at Bellewstown

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The regally bred Ballydoyle pair look the two to focus on here, with preference for OPERA SINGER, who is the choice of Ryan Moore. The Justify bay is a half-sister to Group 1 winners Brave Anna and Hit It A Bomb, and while she didn't show a whole lot on debut, after being bumped early, she can be expected to come on plenty for that experience. Newcomer Andromeda is the other Aidan O'Brien representative, with this one a sister to 2020 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Peaceful. Joseph O'Brien introduces Kalispera and like the aforementioned pair, she holds some big race entries. Enthralling was behind the selection on debut and is best watched here, while Improvista will need to improve from finishing fifth in a barrier trial if she is to feature.
Frankel filly IMPROVISTA ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and Group-race entries suggest that she is held in high regard. Confidence behind her in the betting would look significant and she gets the nod ahead of Opera Singer, who should be more street-wise following her debut spin at the Curragh and is Ryan Moore's pick ahead of stablemate Andromeda. Kalispera is another to note.
Likely a hot contest but OPERA SINGER was getting the hang of things late on at the Curragh and will be more streetwise now under Moore

11/1(-214%) | (6) Chavajod 11/1, Course winner. Latest win here in May. Good second of 14 in handicap (28/1) at Roscommon (10f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Solid claims once more. Won over 1m here on seasonal/stable debut; second at Roscommon (1m2f); up another 3lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A case can be made for all eight runners. CORDOUAN was successful on his debut for Adrian McGuinness at Laytown in September and while he hasn't managed to win since, he has been pretty consistent. A close-up fourth in the valuable Nasrullah Handicap over the course and distance last Thursday, it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a few places better now. While his form is quite erratic, Chavajod is given second preference. Successful here in May, he disappointed on his next start before filling the runner-up spot on his most recent outing at Roscommon. If putting his best foot forward, he is capable of making an impact. Noel Meade has his horses in flying form at present and so Tea Olive warrants respect, while course and distance winner No Niki No and Ladies Derby runner-up Higher Kingdom are other leading hopes.
HIGHER KINGDOM returned to form when second in a competitive event at the Curragh last time and a performance of similar merit could be enough to go one better. Chavajod is a big danger and No Niki No is one of several others for whom a case can be made.
Topweight Longbourn and Cordouan have good claims but maybe CHAVAJOD, running sweetly for his new yard this term, can score

1st (1) (6.5/1 +35%) Self Belief |
6.5/1(+35%) | (1) Self Belief 6.5/1, Useful gelding. 16/1, 22¼ lengths last of 5 to Mashhoor in International Stakes at the Curragh (10f, good) 19 days ago. Can give a good account. Regressive this term; beaten a long way by Alfred Munnings last time; difficult to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (2.5/1 +38%) Alfred Munnings |
2.5/1(+38%) | (3) Alfred Munnings 2.5/1, Thrice-raced winner. Course winner. 4/1, 10¾ lengths third of 5 to Mashhoor in International Stakes at the Curragh (10f, good) 19 days ago, left poorly placed. Should improve. Not ruled out. Beaten 10l on return in a Curragh Group 3 last time but should step forward from that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (6/1 +8%) Empress Of Beauty |
6/1(+8%) | (6) Empress Of Beauty 6/1, Twice-raced winner. 1 win from 2 runs this year. Winner at Gowran in May. 9/1, head second of 9 to Library in listed race at Naas (10f, good to firm) 22 days ago. May well do better still. In the picture. Second in a fillies' Listed race at Navan last time and improving but this demands more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (0.91/1 +39%) Trustyourinstinct |
0.91/1(+39%) | (5) Trustyourinstinct 0.91/1, Promising Churchill colt who impressively made it 2-2 in 6-runner minor event at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft) 32 days ago. The one to beat with more to offer. Smart colt has won both starts at a lower level; respected but will have to improve. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BOLD DISCOVERY might be able to upstage likely favourite Trustyourinstinct. The latter is two from two but faces his stiffest task to date and may come up short against the classy, battle-hardened selection. After disappointing in two May starts, the Jessica Harrington-trained bay was subsequently treated for allergies and showed his true colours when claiming a Listed contest on his most recent outing. He should be well able for this step-up in trip to nine-furlongs and it'll be disappointing if he is not involved towards the business end. A half-brother to the brilliant 2021 dual Oaks winner Snowfall, Alfred Munnings was a well-beaten third on his return to action at the Curragh. He is entitled to come on plenty for that effort though, as it was his first in over a year. Self Belief has been ultimately disappointing so far this season and will need to bounce back to his best if he is to feature. Empress Of Beauty went down by just a head in Listed company at Naas last month and should give a good account of herself.
Joseph O'Brien's Churchill colt TRUSTYOURINSTINCT looks a good prospect and is fancied to take this step up in class in his stride and make it 3-3. Curragh scorer Bold Discovery should ensure he doesn't have things all his own way though, with improving duo Empress of Beauty and Alfred Munnings not discounted either.
Returning to the scene of his impressive maiden score last year, ALFRED MUNNINGS can take a big step forward from his return start.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The first foal out of brilliant four-time Group 1 winner Alpha Centauri, SATURN is the standout name. While friendless on debut at the Curragh on Derby weekend, the grey colt went down fighting and was beaten by just half-a-length. He is sure to come on plenty for that experience and looks the one to beat. Kadeen has two solid efforts to his name but was two-and-three-quarters of a length behind the selection at the Curragh and it's difficult to see him reversing the form now. Tommy Thug made some late gains when eighth behind the aforementioned pair on debut and it'll be interesting to see if he can build on that effort. The 80 rated Teorie is sure to have plenty of supporters, while others that warrant respect are Velvet And Vine and newcomer Rioja Alta.
SATURN showed plenty when second at the Curragh on debut and, with improvement on the cards, he's fancied to open his account at the second attempt. Kadeen looks the obvious danger but a quick return to form from Teorie would give him a solid chance.
Having run green when narrowly beaten at the Curragh on debut, the beautifully-bred SATURN should be able to go one better.

Should have more to offer. Big shout. Won a Down Royal handicap at 10.5f in first-time cheekpieces; 5lb higher now but respected. |

7/1(+42%) | (13) Grey Fable 7/1, Very good second of 16 in handicap (18/1) at Roscommon (12f, good to soft) 59 days ago. Needs considering. Second to a progressive sort at Roscommon over this trip last time; can take a hand. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (7/1 -40%) Fairytale Princess |
7/1(-40%) | (12) Fairytale Princess 7/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 17 in maiden (50/1) at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft) 32 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Yard having good spell. Makes handicap debut. Uphill task at these weights though. Shapes as though this trip will suit and one to consider on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (20/1 -43%) Dalvey |
20/1(-43%) | (1) Dalvey 20/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap (25/1) at Limerick (17f, good) 27 days ago. Back down in trip. Shortlist material off an easing mark. Soundly beaten in handicaps lately and isn't high on the list despite a falling mark. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A competitive contest to round off proceedings, where it might be worth taking a chance on BAILE LOCHA RIACH. A 200,000 pound yearling purchase, he has been disappointing, however his most recent effort at Down Royal was his best to date, and he might be able to build on that performance. Despite still showing signs of greenness, he kept on in the closing stages to finish fifth and fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time now, it should help his cause. Named after the hometown of his owner Michael Burke, a trip to Galway could also be on the cards for this Siyouni chestnut. Pinot Gris made the breakthrough at Down Royal, with the selection back in fifth, and it'll come as little surprise if he manages to follow-up. It'll be interesting to see how Loughisle Lady fares, making her debut for Ciaran Murphy while also returning from a lengthy absence. Union Flag, Darraby, Grey Fable and On The Money are others to keep on side.
PINOT GRIS got off the mark with something to spare at Down Royal and can make light of a 5 lb rise in the weights with this return to 1m4f another plus for Gavin Cromwell's son of Mastercraftsman. Roscommon second Grey Fable could emerge as the chief threat with Pale Moonlight and Dalvey two more who need factoring into an open handicap.
Second to a most progressive sort at Roscommon last time, GREY FABLE can go one better and confirm that form with Pinot Gris.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
