1st (7) (5/2 +55%) Lord Of All Saints |
5/2(+55%) | (7) Lord Of All Saints 5/2, Signs of ability in junior/juvenile events last term and he took a step forward in this headgear combination when fourth of 14 on return/handicap debut at Chepstow (2m, good to soft). Likely to benefit from this stiffer test and he's one to consider. Unexposed; sound run after a break when 4th in 2m h'cap latest; first run at 2m4f; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (18/1 -50%) Brownstone |
18/1(-50%) | (2) Brownstone 18/1, A fair 21f hurdles winner for Patrick Donoghue who signed off with a creditable fourth of 15 in claiming hurdle at Roscommon (20.6f, good to soft) in July. Well beaten back from a break for new connections at Stratford last month, though, and he's opposable following that low-key display. Ex-Irish; 2-23 over hurdles, latest win in April; well beaten on stable debut; more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (4/1 +75%) Arctic Saint |
4/1(+75%) | (6) Arctic Saint 4/1, Winless following half-a-dozen attempts between the flags and record under Rules stands at 0-7. Hopes pinned on the change of scenery (makes debut for new yard) sparking improvement here. Maiden hurdle 2nd in 2023; since run in points/h'cap hurdles in Ireland; stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (11/1 -47%) Release The Kraken |
11/1(-47%) | (8) Release The Kraken 11/1, Posted best effort for a while when fourth in Southwell handicap in June but he was (unsurprisingly given his rather up-and-down profile) safely held at Uttoxeter next time. Record stands at 0-20 overall. Maiden; two fair runs over 3m in May/June; back after break; each-way chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (80/1 +20%) Upthereforthinking |
80/1(+20%) | (3) Upthereforthinking 80/1, Modest maiden over hurdles in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell and beaten 40+ lengths on all 3 starts since switching to this yard. Readily passed over. Ex-Gavin Cromwell; 0-12; below his best for this yard; best watched for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (13/2 +54%) Snapius |
13/2(+54%) | (1) Snapius 13/2, Largely struggled (in this sphere and on the Flat) after winning a Cork maiden hurdle for previous connections in March 2023. Little impact in 4 starts on the level since joining this yard and while James Owen is likely to find the key to him before long, others make more appeal on this occasion. Ex-Irish; won maiden hurdle in 2023; not so good since including on the Flat for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (11/4 +0%) Dexperado |
11/4(+0%) | (5) Dexperado 11/4, Left low-key maiden/novice form behind upped to this trip/switched to handicaps (both at Market Rasen) with cheekpieces enlisted on final 2 starts of last season, finding just one too good on each occasion. Will be a danger to all, provided he is ready to roll following 7 months off. Maiden; good second with cheekpieces on last two starts; back from a break; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (12/1 -50%) George Mallory |
12/1(-50%) | (9) George Mallory 12/1, Just 1 lb above the mark off which he opened his hurdles account at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) in July 2023. Arrives here on the back of a couple of creditable efforts in defeat over that C&D and should make his presence felt. Uttoxeter winner last year; long absence after; mixed fortunes since; first run at 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (14/1 -367%) Alioski |
14/1(-367%) | (4) Alioski 14/1, Sole hurdles success came in 2m Worcester maiden in 2022 but has largely acquitted himself well since and notched third win on the Flat at Ffos Las when last seen in August. Went close at Huntingdon latest start in this sphere during the spring and he's one for the shortlist. Good run on latest hurdle start; has since won on the Flat; off since August; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (150/1 -50%) Wheresmemoneygone |
150/1(-50%) | (10) Wheresmemoneygone 150/1, Has looked limited in various company and 8 lb 'wrong' at the weights here. Modest efforts in points and over hurdles; 8lb out of the handicap; best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Runner-up on each of his two starts since switching to handicaps, DEXPERADO brings a strong level of form to the table and a mark of 92 still looks manageable as he seeks to get off the mark at the seventh time of asking. Involved in a dead-heat before being demoted to second at Huntingdon in May, Alioski has since scored on the level and he is a key player, along with Snapius for the in-form James Owen team.
The 4-y-o LORD OF ALL SAINTS left the strong impression that this step up in trip was very much in order when a creditable fourth on his handicap debut at Chepstow. He should come on for that seasonal reappearance and gets the nod ahead of Dexperado, who looks sure to pick up a race sooner rather than later judged on his Market Rasen efforts during the spring. George Mallory is also feared, while Alioski is also shortlisted.
The suggestion is DEXPERADO who was in good form with cheekpieces added when last seen out in the spring.

1st (1) (11/2 +50%) Bramble Jelly |
11/2(+50%) | (1) Bramble Jelly 11/2, Modest handicapper on the Flat (stays 11.5f), successful at Bath in October. Dam struck first time up over hurdles so she's of interest. Won 1m2f Bath h'cap last month; dam won over hurdles; quite interesting on jumps debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (7/4 +30%) Remarkable Flight |
7/4(+30%) | (4) Remarkable Flight 7/4, Fair handicapper on the Flat, won twice in 2024 for Charles Hills (sold 6,500 gns in October). In good hands for hurdles debut and headgear reached for. Won 2 1m2f h'caps for Charles Hills; cost 6,500gns; hood tried on jumps debut; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|R| (3) (5/2 +100%) I Love Paris |
5/2(+100%) | (3) I Love Paris 5/2, The best of these on the level (fair maiden for Ed Walker), although blotted her copybook having refused to go to post on her last 2 intended starts. Clearly the most appealing one if she's on her best behaviour. Fair on the Flat for Ed Walker; became quirky; risky at present but not without a chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|R| (2) (5/2 +44%) Edna E Mode |
5/2(+44%) | (2) Edna E Mode 5/2, Modest maiden on the Flat, possibly amiss on stable/handicap debut last time. Fewer miles on the clock than the others. Fair Flat form for Harry Charlton (below-par on stable debut); contender on jumps debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
A decent sort on the Flat, I LOVE PARIS was last seen going close at Newbury in July and she has since switched to the Chris Honour stable to embark on a career over hurdles. The daughter of Too Darn Hot is ahead of her rivals by what she did on the level, and it may be that Remarkable Flight gives her the most to think about for a team in terrific form at present. Stuart Edmunds has a fine record at this track so Edna E Mode must also be considered.
I LOVE PARIS can't be considered too safe a conveyance given she's refused to go to post on her last 2 intended starts on the Flat, but she's easily the best of these on her day in that sphere and is worth the benefit of the doubt starting out for a new yard. Remarkable Flight is feared most.
In a race that makes little appeal the suggestion is EDNA E MODE, who showed promise on the Flat for Harry Charlton in the spring.

1st (10) (4/6 +47%) Woodland Park |
4/6(+47%) | (10) Woodland Park 4/6, Confirmed debut promise when bagging 10-runner bumper at Market Rasen in April. Clear of the third (who has since won a novice hurdle) when going close on debut in this sphere at Carlisle (17.2f, soft) and he should make a bold bid to go one better upped in trip here. Easy winner of a bumper and second on hurdling debut behind a respected opponent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/2 -35%) Jakar Du Moulin |
9/2(-35%) | (4) Jakar Du Moulin 9/2, Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Utopia Dream and fair hurdler Amboselie. Winner of a maiden point in February (sole start in that sphere) and, having subsequently fetched £175,000 and joined top jumps yard, he is a very interesting contender. Point form is weak but cost £175,000 at the sales and seems well regarded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (50/1 -100%) Camps Bay |
50/1(-100%) | (12) Camps Bay 50/1, Mount Nelson gelding who needs a second look in the betting. 4yo who cost 20,000euros and from the family of a Grand National winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (16/1 -60%) Je Viens Du Large |
16/1(-60%) | (5) Je Viens Du Large 16/1, Easily off the mark in Irish points at the third attempt in April but failed by a long chalk to justify support switched to Rules in a Uttoxeter maiden hurdle last month. Reportedly struck into when a disappointing favourite for a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (16/1 -14%) Les's Jersey Royal |
16/1(-14%) | (6) Les's Jersey Royal 16/1, €85,000 3-y-o out of an unraced half-sister to useful hurdle winner/smart chaser (stayed 3½m) Cannington Brook. Was held back by inexperience when fifth of 8 on debut in a 2m Kempton bumper in February but will be more street-wise this time and worth a second look now switched to hurdles. 85,000euros 3yo; beaten 15l in a soft-ground bumper at Kempton but was inexperienced. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (33/1 -65%) Scotch On Da Rocks |
33/1(-65%) | (7) Scotch On Da Rocks 33/1, £80,000 buy after winning a point in April 2021. Never looked like justifying support making belated Rules debut in a tongue strap at Doncaster in March and again failed to meet expectations a month later. Left Ben Pauling but has the frame for jumping. Has had another breathing op. Point winner; had wind surgery since two quiet runs in maidens for Ben Pauling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (150/1 -127%) Alshadhian |
150/1(-127%) | (11) Alshadhian 150/1, Fair maiden at best on Flat (stays 1¾m) but he finished nearer last than first starting out over hurdles at Exeter last month. No great shakes on the Flat and was tailed off at Exeter when an 80-1 chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|C| (1) (6/1 +8%) A Moments Madness |
6/1(+8%) | (1) A Moments Madness 6/1, Has an ordinary pedigree but finished runner-up sole start in Irish points in February and made an encouraging enough start over hurdles when fourth of 13 in a Wetherby novice (19.7f, good to soft) last month. Strong each-way chance. Second in a point and his fourth in a maiden was encouraging; should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (9) (9/1 -13%) Western Harmony |
9/1(-13%) | (9) Western Harmony 9/1, Cost £115,000 after winning his second of 2 starts in Irish points in the spring. Promise both starts in bumpers since, including when 9½ lengths fourth of 10 to Woodland Park at Market Rasen on latest start in April, and he should have a future in this sphere. Respectable runs in bumpers, though was about 10l behind Woodland Park in the latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (250/1 -150%) Grenardier |
250/1(-150%) | (3) Grenardier 250/1, Little impact in a couple of bumpers and while this stiffer test will likely help now switched to hurdles, others make more appeal. Finished well behind in two good-ground bumpers and wouldn't be the obvious answer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (250/1 -150%) Big Ange |
250/1(-150%) | (13) Big Ange 250/1, Pulled up on hurdles debut at Bangor and Sam Twiston-Davies prefers newcomer Camps Bay. Tailed off in her bumper and pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Bangor when 150-1. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|RO| (2) (18/1 +10%) Boston Boy |
18/1(+10%) | (2) Boston Boy 18/1, Runner-up sole start in Irish points but hasn't appeared to get home in 3 starts under Rules, including when fourth of 11 on return/hurdles debut in a first-time tongue strap (retained) 17 days ago. Again looks vulnerable. Lightly raced but held by some of these and already looks one for handicaps. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
A highly encouraging second on his debut over hurdles at Carlisle, the way WOODLAND PARK shaped on that occasion when keeping on at the finish gave every impression that he is ready for this rise in distance. The five-year-old gets the vote ahead of Jakar Du Moulin, who was snapped up for 175,000 pounds after running out a taking winner of a point-to-point in February. A Moments Madness shaped well when fourth at Wetherby and cannot be ruled out either.
This should go the way of WOODLAND PARK, who lost no caste in defeat when going down narrowly on his hurdles debut at Carlisle and he seemingly has a bright future. Jakar du Moulin is an intriguing recruit for the Paul Nicholls yard and it will be interesting to see how this point winner shapes up in the betting, while A Moments Madness, who shaped well on debut in this sphere at Wetherby, and Western Harmony are others to consider.
Jakar Du Moulin seems to be held in some regard but WOODLAND PARK has the form in the book and he's readily preferred.

1st (1) (6/4 +20%) The Wolf |
6/4(+20%) | (1) The Wolf 6/4, Temperamental sort but made his first appearance in veterans company a winning one at Huntingdon (3m) last week under this rider, coming clear easily to record just his second victory in 4 years. No banker to be in the same form under a penalty although this isn't a strong race. Took advantage of a handy mark at Huntingdon latest; 7lb penalty; much respected.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/2 +0%) Almazhar Garde |
11/2(+0%) | (4) Almazhar Garde 11/2, Going through his most consistent spell ever even if his merit is some way removed from his useful peak, rallying again for second at Kempton (3m) 4 weeks ago. Respected. Best effort of the year at Kempton (3m, good) latest; should be competitive.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/4 +58%) Nothin To Ask |
11/4(+58%) | (3) Nothin To Ask 11/4, Fairly useful handicap hurdler/winning chaser. Considerate return in well-contested Chepstow handicap chase 3 weeks ago, finishing with running left, and one to note down 3 lb in weak race. May be better for latest start and if so, he's not written off from this 3lb lower mark.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (10/3 -78%) Impatient |
10/3(-78%) | (5) Impatient 10/3, Resumed progress from out of the blue, running out an impressive winner in a re-fitted tongue strap in 3m Ffos Las handicap chase recently despite not always convincing with his jumping. Well ahead of his mark if backing that up under a penalty. Shoulders a penalty for his Ffos Las win (3m) but he's unexposed and a big player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (25/1 -25%) Risk And Roll |
25/1(-25%) | (2) Risk And Roll 25/1, Tricky customer who took a C&D hunter chase in 2020 and won again at Uttoxeter 14 months ago. Found to be lame when pulling up over hurdles at Stratford 4 months ago. Bit to prove. Has won when fresh; below his last winning mark but has a bit to prove.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
THE WOLF has strong claims of following up last week's easy success at Huntingdon. He remains on a decent mark, despite carrying 7lb extra, and a sound surface should not be a problem for Olly Murphy's charge. Impatient also carries a penalty for winning at Ffos Las in good style, although that was only his second outing over fences and he should have more to offer. Almazhar Garde looks high enough in the handicap at present, but should run his usual solid race.
IMPATIENT was impressive when scoring at Ffos Las despite some iffy jumping and can defy a penalty if in the same mood. The Wolf, another recent winner, could be the main danger.
Ffos Las scorer IMPATIENT is unexposed and given the nature of his success, he is taken to successfully defy his 7lb penalty.

1st (5) (11/8 +31%) Suitably Surprised |
11/8(+31%) | (5) Suitably Surprised 11/8, Improver in handicaps, landing a conditional jockeys' race at Sedgefield (17f, good) last week. Has to race off 6 lb higher this time but Charlie Maggs can claim more on this occasion. In good form; built on Sedgefield 2nd when winning there last week; likely player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/1 +50%) Oneforthefairgreen |
5/1(+50%) | (7) Oneforthefairgreen 5/1, Placed twice in bumpers in Ireland but only poor form over hurdles so far. Failed to stay 3m on Uttoxeter handicap debut in June and connections have had a rethink on the trip in the meantime. The cheekpieces she wore at Uttoxeter are retained. Placed in two Irish bumpers; ordinary form over hurdles; improvement needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (11/1 -22%) Fillyfudge |
11/1(-22%) | (4) Fillyfudge 11/1, A fair winner on the Flat but just modest form over hurdles, including well held on handicap debut in January. Still relatively early days in this sphere and she arrives on the back of some good runs on the level. Flat winner; fair 3rd over C&D on hurdles debut; not as good since but not out of it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (11/2 +39%) Inchiquin Spirit |
11/2(+39%) | (8) Inchiquin Spirit 11/2, Maiden Irish pointer. Fourth in a pair of Hereford handicaps in the spring and may have needed her latest outing there after 5 months off. Her yard is enjoying a good spell. Hasn't shown enough in eight runs over hurdles to suggest she can win this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (50/1 -257%) Dropitlikeitshot |
50/1(-257%) | (6) Dropitlikeitshot 50/1, More chance now handicapping at a basement level and worth a precautionary betting check. Promise on bumper debut (AW); well beaten over hurdles; needs to improve on h'cap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (15/2 -114%) Purple Gown |
15/2(-114%) | (3) Purple Gown 15/2, Isn't straightforward but she was successful on the Flat over the summer and has run 2 creditable races in handicap hurdles this autumn. Each-way claims under Brian Hughes. Dual Flat winner; good fourth in at Newcastle h'cap on latest hurdles start; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (5/1 +38%) Bobbigrey |
5/1(+38%) | (1) Bobbigrey 5/1, Showed promise on the second of her 3 qualifying runs and worth noting in the betting on handicap debut with the yard going well. Irish point third; modest efforts over hurdles; should improve now going handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (33/1 -106%) Cotoneaster |
33/1(-106%) | (2) Cotoneaster 33/1, Improved second on Uttoxeter handicap debut for new trainer Ryan Potter in July but all of a sudden has something to prove after pulling up on both outings since. Ex-Noel Williams; good 2nd on stable debut but pulled up both starts since; bit risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Suitably Surprised bids to land a quick double after scoring on Thursday. She will likely prove competitive once again, but only prevailed by a nose at Sedgefield and PURPLE GOWN is preferred. Adam Nicol's five-year-old finished a respectable fourth back over hurdles at Newcastle last month and the presence of Brian Hughes in the saddle offers further encouragement. The remainder are struggling for form at present, although Inchiquin Spirit slips further down the weights and could go well.
If this doesn't come too soon after Sedgefield on Thursday SUITABLY SURPRISED might be good for another win. Purple Gown was beaten only 2 lengths when fourth at Newcastle last time and ought to be thereabouts under Brian Hughes. Bobbigrey is a handicap newcomer to monitor in the betting with the Jennie Candlish team in form.
Dual Flat winner PURPLE GOWN (nap) has a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles following her solid run at Newcastle.

1st (8) (11/4 +45%) Northern Reel |
11/4(+45%) | (8) Northern Reel 11/4, Irish point winner who is yet to fire under Rules but has a basement mark and has offered a bit more since sent chasing. Looks a big player. Irish point winner; fair efforts 2 starts chasing; could go well but fast ground a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (12/1 +25%) Hey Day Baby |
12/1(+25%) | (7) Hey Day Baby 12/1, Former point winner who looked a different proposition on second chase start when cruising home at Market Rasen in August. Disapppointing subsequently and she can't be relied on. Won a chase in August by 12l but poor efforts since, latest last week; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/1 -22%) Shesupincourt |
11/1(-22%) | (3) Shesupincourt 11/1, Dual handicap hurdle winner around 3m last season. Has been out of form for a while. though, and returned to chasing with a lacklustre effort at Chepstow last time. Cheekpieces refitted. 2-23 over hurdles; not impressed in two runs over fences although fair fifth last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/1 +44%) Harkangel |
9/1(+44%) | (6) Harkangel 9/1, Off the mark in first-time cheekpieces/tongue strap after 12 weeks off at Taunton (3m, good) in April. Disappointing since and hard to know if she'll take to chasing. Mares' h'cap hurdle win with headgear tried in April; poor since; chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (7/1 +7%) Call Blue |
7/1(+7%) | (4) Call Blue 7/1, Remains a maiden but held her form well over hurdles prior to an underwhelming chasing debut at Uttoxeter 17 days ago. Should have learned from that experience, not ruled out. 0-11 over hurdles; well-beaten 11th of 13 on chase debut at Uttoxeter; more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (7/2 -17%) Faha Belle |
7/2(-17%) | (2) Faha Belle 7/2, Irish point winner who often gives her running but is 0-13 under Rules. Solid start to chasing at Sedgefield last time and fancied to improve, so worth chancing. Irish point winner; close 4th on chase debut at last time (few mistakes); should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (40/1 -150%) Arctic Footprint |
40/1(-150%) | (5) Arctic Footprint 40/1, Limited sort on the whole and she hasn't taken to chasing. Needs a major turaround to compete. Won a h'cap hurdle on heavy last year; poor run back over fences last time; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|RR| (1) (3/1 -20%) Another Day Out |
3/1(-20%) | (1) Another Day Out 3/1, Winner in chase at Huntingdon in May. Good second of 8 in handicap chase (8/1) at Ludlow (23.8f, good to soft) 25 days ago, just failing. Merits consideration. Won mares' chase in May and was a nose second last time; on a fair mark; chance. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ANOTHER DAY OUT went close to gaining a second victory over fences when beaten a nose at Ludlow and the six-year-old has been found an excellent opportunity to go one better. Faha Belle is entitled to improve from her chasing debut when fourth at Sedgefield, although she will need to jump better on this occasion. Others to consider include Northern Reel and Shesupincourt.
FAHA BELLE has a background in points and looked more at home switched to chasing when fourth at Sedgefield last time. This stiffer track and longer trip is in her favour, so she gets the nod over Another Day Out, who found one too good at Ludlow last time. Northern Reel is another one worthy of respect.
This can go to ANOTHER DAY OUT who has taken well to chasing, winning at Huntingdon in May and running well at Ludlow last time.

Dominic's Fault |
(1) (9/4 +10%)9/4(+10%) | (1) Dominic's Fault 9/4, Well-bred, rangy sort who overcame a lengthy absence to land a 6-runner C&D novice (heavy) in January. Failed by a whisker on return/handicap debut over 2½m at Carlisle and, with this drop back in trip unlikely to be an issue, he's a big player. Narrow defeat on handicap debut off 4lb lower; strong claims back down in trip.. |

Don Virginia |
(7) (9/2 +44%)9/2(+44%) | (7) Don Virginia 9/2, Placed first 3 starts, producing his best effort yet when going close in a 2m Warwick novice last month. However, he failed to improve on subsequent handicap debut at Carlisle (17.2f, good to soft) and he looks ready for a step up in trip. Going the right way and one to consider; appears versatile ground-wise.. |

1st (8) (12/1 +52%) Activist |
12/1(+52%) | (8) Activist 12/1, Fairly useful on Flat in France and improved efforts over hurdles for new yard when winning handicaps in the mud at Plumpton (2m) and Taunton (19f) in February. Pulled up the last twice, though, and he needs to bounce back following a 6-month break. Dual hurdle winner but pulled up the last twice and needs to turn things around.. |

2nd (2) (20/1 +0%) Salley Gardens |
20/1(+0%) | (2) Salley Gardens 20/1, Good third following the best part of a year off in a 21f Kempton handicap in May 2023 but failed to build on that next 2 starts and entitled to need this following a 17-month absence. Dominic's Fault is the stable No 1. Has gone well off the back of a break before but might find this trip on the sharp side.. |

3rd (6) (9/2 +55%) Bobby Socks |
9/2(+55%) | (6) Bobby Socks 9/2, On the up when last seen in 2023, bagging handicaps at around 2½m at Southwell and Perth. Still has low-mileage and he could have more to offer, albeit he may need the run following 16 months off and Dominic's Fault looks the pick of the yard's 4 runners. Has an absence to overcome and a 6lb rise but the stable can ready one; player.. |

4th (3) (85/40 +76%) Wise Guy |
85/40(+76%) | (3) Wise Guy 85/40, Improver in handicaps last season, winning slow-ground handicaps at Lingfield and Carlisle. Shaped far better than the bare result on his seasonal reappearance at the latter course last month and should be in the mix here . Ran encouragingly on last month's return and worth considering with that run behind him.. |

5th (5) (10/3 +49%) Rumoursareflying |
10/3(+49%) | (5) Rumoursareflying 10/3, Fair maiden hurdler who made the frame on 4 occasions last season and another solid effort when runner-up on return at Market Rasen (16.6f, good). Mark for this handicap debut looks fair and he's a live each-way candidate. Chased home a subsequent winner on reappearance and that form makes him of interest here.. |

6th (12) (66/1 -65%) Ghasham |
66/1(-65%) | (12) Ghasham 66/1, Opened hurdles account at Market Rasen in March 2023 but he was beaten at Bangor the following month. No show both starts on the Flat following a lengthy absence and he looks set for another struggle. Poor on the Flat since returning from an absence and a bit to prove now back over hurdles.. |

7th (11) (10/1 -167%) King Ottokar |
10/1(-167%) | (11) King Ottokar 10/1, Useful Flat performer for Charlie Fellowes. Well short of that level on all 3 starts over hurdles for this yard back in 2022 but capable of much better now handicapping, provided that his ability remains intact following more than 2 years on the sidelines. Has undergone a wind op. Useful on Flat; below that level in this sphere but respected on handicap hurdle debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (22/1 +33%) Roccos Inspiration |
22/1(+33%) | (9) Roccos Inspiration 22/1, Proved expensive to follow over hurdles in Ireland and while she made a winning start for Olly Murphy in 8-runner novice hurdle at Uttoxeter in January, her efforts switched to handicap company the last twice have lacked spark. Recent return after wind surgery was underwhelming and has enough to prove at present.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (15/2 +38%) Ballybreeze |
15/2(+38%) | (4) Ballybreeze 15/2, Placed all 3 starts in handicaps in this sphere and made winning start over fences at Chepstow in October 2022. Failed to complete on 2 of his 3 subsequent starts and probably worth taking on back hurdling following a 12-month absence. Capable of getting involved off his lower hurdles mark if ready to go after a break.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (12/1 +64%) Moonlight Glory |
12/1(+64%) | (10) Moonlight Glory 12/1, Encouraging fifth of 12 at Sedgefield in September but not in the same form both subsequent appearances and, though she has been given a chance by the handicapper, others make more appeal. Six-time winner over hurdles but out of form recently and needs to stage a revival.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
DOMINIC'S FAULT went agonisingly close on his return at Carlisle last month, having travelled notably well throughout that contest, and the drop back in trip is unlikely to be a problem for Olly Murphy's gelding. Rumoursareflying enters the reckoning on his handicap bow, while Ballybreeze is likely to be of interest on his first run since last November because he is 12lb lower over hurdles than he is over fences.
The vote goes to DOMINIC'S FAULT, who was just worried out of it when returning to action on his handicap debut at Carlisle and there should be better to come from this unexposed 7-y-o. Wise Guy showed more than his finishing position would suggest on his reappearance at the aforementioned Cumbrian venue and he is feared most. Handicap-debutants Rumoursareflying and King Ottokar are others with a chance.
Dominic's Fault is respected but preference is for RUMOURSAREFLYING on his handicap debut after an encouraging reappearance.
Ths is the racecard key.
