The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
This is heavy on numbers but low on previous winners, so a chance is taken on HORSE WHISPERER utilising her experience to extend the run of good form since starting out in handicaps. Having won her nursery debut off 3lb lower at Brighton on her penultimate start, the form of her latest outing has worked out well (the third-placed horse has won three times since) and she should have her say today. Marie's Secret is a potential improver with cheekpieces retained, while Big Brown Bear and Black Jack Davey are also considered.
An ultra-competitive opener in which preference is for BIG BROWN BEAR, who ran his best race sporting first-time headgear when a close third at Kempton last month and Eve Johnson Houghton's charge can build on that effort quickly returned to turf. Marie's Secret ran well here just over 2 weeks ago so she may emerge as the main danger, with Horse Whisperer and Dc Flyer another couple worth considering.
Kevin Ryan's DC FLYER had looked on the up when scoring on good to soft at Hamilton before underperforming on less testing ground.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
ARIZONA DESERT proved to be underestimated when she held on for a place at Newcastle three weeks ago. Having taken up the running a couple of furlongs out that day, she responded with enthusiasm and was only just run out of things in the final strides. With Hollie Doyle returning to take over from an apprentice, compensation could be on the cards today. Vintage Love is another with a solid chance back on turf, while Moreginplease is respected now dropped in class.
ARIZONA DESERT displayed improved form when third starting out for a new yard at Newcastle 3 weeks ago, and in the hope she can continue the good work on turf, is offered to get off the mark. Vintage Love is very likely to give her running based on her profile, with this stiff 7f likely to be ideal for Batal Dandy.
Amo Racing's ARIZONA DESERT made a promising start for her new stable when third at Newcastle and can gain her first success.

Merits consideration with the step up in trip to suit. Promising 4th over 7f here four weeks ago; sets the standard & 1m should suit; big chance. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (20/1 -25%) Pique' |
20/1(-25%) | (4) Pique' 20/1, Foaled March 15. Nathaniel filly. Half-sister to numerous winners, including smart winner up to 1¾m Pinzolo and useful 1m-1½m winner Drill. Could go well for yard which had winning newcomer at last meeting at this course. Bred to have a bright future over middle distances; no surprise to see her go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (8.5/1 -6%) Blue Akoya |
8.5/1(-6%) | (2) Blue Akoya 8.5/1, Foaled March 12. 70,000 gns yearling, Sea The Moon filly. Half-sister to 7f winner Abbey's Dream. Dam, 9.5f winner, sister to smart winner up to 1m Blue Maiden. One of 2 interesting contenders in the line-up for her trainer. 70,000gns half-sis to a 7f AW winner; one of two for yard whose 2yos have had a good year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (12/1 +45%) Remarkable Flight |
12/1(+45%) | (6) Remarkable Flight 12/1, In need of the experience when sixth of 9 in minor event (40/1) at Newmarket (1m, good) on debut 17 days ago. Entitled to do better with that first run behind her. Left behind when pace picked up at Newmarket last month (1m); can do better but needs to. |

Dam, 6f winner (including at 2 yrs), half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Maxi Boy, out of half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m Mandaean. One to note on debut. 240,000gns yearling; dam a well-related 6f winner (RPR 96); a newcomer of some interest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
DANCE DESIRE, who cost 240,000 gns as a yearling, is an intriguing filly for John and Thady Gosden to introduce at this time of year. Her dam is a half-sister to Maxi Boy, who was placed in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes as a juvenile and gives her strong appeal on pedigree. Warda Jamila, a half-sister to Lonsdale Cup winner Coltrane, is feared but needs a step forward from her debut, so well-bred newcomers Beatrice Shilling and Blue Akoya might be bigger threats to the selection.
DANCE DESIRE makes plenty of appeal on paper and the daughter of Sea The Stars could be up to making a winning start for her leading connections. She is taken to get the better of Warda Jamila, who shaped promisingly at this course last month on her debut, while Tumbleweed is another to consider on her first outing.
Warda Jamila sets the standard but there are some interesting newcomers of whom BEATRICE SHILLING may prove the pick.

1st (6) (5/1 +58%) Sassy Belle |
5/1(+58%) | (6) Sassy Belle 5/1, C&D winner on heavy last autumn. Went off too hard when ninth of 10 in handicap at Goodwood (6f, good to soft, 12/1) 13 days ago. Respectable fifth on Kempton's AW prior to that. Usually leads; won final 2yo start over C&D but not very convincing on most form in 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (18/5 +45%) Selby's Pride |
18/5(+45%) | (10) Selby's Pride 18/5, Creditable ½-length third of 9 to Ray Vonn in handicap at Nottingham (6f, heavy, 9/2) 6 days ago. Weighted to turn the tables on that rival on the revised terms. On losing run but 10lb lower than latest win last August; good 6f run latest; close up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (10/1 -43%) Secret Mistral |
10/1(-43%) | (5) Secret Mistral 10/1, 4/1, career best when winning 4-runner handicap at this course (5f, soft) 28 days ago. That was a weak race so she'll need more again from 4 lb higher. Has won at 6f; mixed in sprint handicaps but won quite cosily over 5f here latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/2 +22%) Ray Vonn |
7/2(+22%) | (1) Ray Vonn 7/2, Improved when off the mark in 9-runner handicap at Nottingham (6f, heavy, 10/3) 6 days ago. 6 lb penalty means he'll require another career best to follow up. Deserved recent Nottingham win; likely to go well under penalty with yard in great form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (5/1 +29%) Maxzeno |
5/1(+29%) | (3) Maxzeno 5/1, Fair maiden. Good second in 5f Nottingham handicap (heavy) in May. Not in the same form at Doncaster the following month and absent since (has had wind surgery). No surprise were he to bounce back to form with a bang. Acts on soft; had wind op since latest run in June; needs to prove stamina for stiff 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (14/1 -27%) Creative Style |
14/1(-27%) | (2) Creative Style 14/1, Winner of maiden at Wolverhampton in June. Some creditable efforts in handicaps since (including C&D) but latest Lingfield eighth wasn't one of them. Weakened back over 7f on AW latest but thereabouts on earlier 6f form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (22/1 -22%) Kokomo |
22/1(-22%) | (8) Kokomo 22/1, Fair form when runner-up in maiden/novice events but has failed to make an impact in 2 handicaps more recently. Still early days but needs to get back on track. Early promise in 7f/6f maidens but hasn't fulfilled it in either of her two handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (6/1 -71%) Hoof It Hoof It |
6/1(-71%) | (9) Hoof It Hoof It 6/1, Convincing winner back sprinting when seeing off 9 rivals at Ripon (6f, good) 10 days ago. A 6 lb rise for that comfortable success looks manageable. Took advantage of weights drop at Ripon latest (6f); others here also like to lead. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (18/1 +18%) Fortunate Star |
18/1(+18%) | (7) Fortunate Star 18/1, Winner at Nottingham in May. 9/1, not disgraced when respectable eighth of 11 in handicap at this course (5f, good) 15 days ago. Steps back up to 6f for the first time since his debut. Seemingly anchored since wide-margin 5f win in May; first 6f run since 2yo debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
STONE OF DESTINY may be winless since the 2020 Portland, but he has found a new lease of life recently and stepping up in trip may be just what is needed to get his head back in front. Hoof It Hoof It did it well when scoring at Ripon last month and must be a leading contender, along with Nottingham winner Ray Vonn, who looks to uphold form with the capable Selby's Pride (third).
If HOOF IT HOOF IT is in the same form as when scoring with something in hand at Ripon recently a 6 lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent her following up. The frustrating Stone of Destiny was rather outbattled at Redcar last time but is in good enough form to think he'll be bang there again. His stablemate Maxzeno could also have a say if reacting positively to wind surgery.
Secret Mistral is respected but RAY VONN remains open to further improvement for a yard that could hardly be in better form.

2nd (4) (11/2 +15%) Gemini Star |
11/2(+15%) | (4) Gemini Star 11/2, Winner at Thirsk on second career start in April. 12/1, very good second of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (5.2f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Unexposed and she ran her best race last month; still has more to come; big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (18/1 +0%) Faustus |
18/1(+0%) | (5) Faustus 18/1, Latest win at Brighton in August. 20/1, thirteenth of 14 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 27 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. On a fair mark and last three turf runs have all been encouraging; below par on AW latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/2 -38%) Almaty Star |
11/2(-38%) | (2) Almaty Star 11/2, Sent off 1/10 and made most of a soft opening when winning 4-runner maiden at Lingfield (5f, AW) 24 days ago, soon clear. Mark back in a handicap looks very fair. This looks much tougher than the weak maiden he won easily last month; unexposed at 5f. |

13/2(-8%) | (3) Ey Up It's Maggie 13/2, C&D winner. Latest win at Ripon in August. 7/2, respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (5f, heavy) 20 days ago. C&D winner; two 5f wins this year; drying ground this time is not in her favour. |

40/1(-60%) | (11) Ernest Rutherford 40/1, Cheekpieces on for first time, eighth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (5f, soft, 6/1) 78 days ago. Ran well at Nottingham in June but failed to back it up in two runs since; up in class now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (13/2 -8%) Level Up |
13/2(-8%) | (7) Level Up 13/2, Five wins from 18 runs this year. Latest win at Ffos Las in July. Good second of 7 in handicap at Bath (5f, soft, 4/1) 8 days ago, just failing. Blinkers back on. Not taken lightly. Success story for D Evans, 6 wins since December; career best in 2nd last week; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (14/1 +22%) Four Adaay |
14/1(+22%) | (9) Four Adaay 14/1, 6/1, bit below form 3 lengths sixth of 11 to Speedacus in handicap at this C&D (good) 15 days ago. Rare blip behind Speedacus here two weeks ago but she's capable of bouncing back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (22/1 +0%) Zargun |
22/1(+0%) | (6) Zargun 22/1, One win from 25 Flat runs. Fifteen runs since last win in 2021. Seventeenth of 19 in handicap at York (5f, soft, 66/1) 17 days ago. Clearly needs everything to fall right. Unappealing formfigures but down in the weights and this is a marked drop in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (12/1 +14%) Carmela |
12/1(+14%) | (1) Carmela 12/1, Failed to come on for reappearance when ninth of 10 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm). Off 134 days and this is a drop in class. Early promise as a 2yo; tough going more recently and risky despite the drop in class. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Slight preference is for the unexposed GEMINI STAR, who was narrowly denied at Yarmouth last time out and could be open to plenty more improvement on ground that should suit. Alice Hayne's charge is preferred to easy Lingfield scorer Almaty Star and Speedacus, who is unlucky not to be arriving on a hat-trick having gone very close at Hamilton last week. Ey Up It's Maggie and Level Up are also entitled to be thereabouts.
Having won a C&D last month, SPEEDACUS recorded another excellent effort when finding only a 3-y-o a short-head too good at Hamilton 8 days ago. He's 1 lb lower here so makes plenty of appeal, with Almaty Star and Level Up feared most.
Rambuso Creek can show the benefit of wind surgery but GEMINI STAR is unexposed and a well-run race over a stiff 5f should be ideal.

1st (3) (12/1 -85%) Beraz |
12/1(-85%) | (3) Beraz 12/1, Good start for this yard with a second and first at Hamilton this summer but his run of good form came to an abrupt halt in the Lanark Silver Bell there 46 days ago. Bounce back needed. Started well for this yard and his latest run was too bad to be true. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (4/1 -45%) Ziryab |
4/1(-45%) | (8) Ziryab 4/1, Got off the mark in a 1m course maiden in June. Unable to make a significant impact in 1¼m handicaps at Royal Ascot and Newmarket since but still early days and retains potential on this first outing since a gelding operation. Well held in handicaps but gelded subsequently; interesting if there's money for him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (7/1 -110%) Box To Box |
7/1(-110%) | (1) Box To Box 7/1, Second 1¼m Chester win of the year when seeing off 9 rivals on soft ground 24 days ago. Should remain competitive up 3 lb. Enhanced his good Chester record when making a lot of the running there last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (3/1 +45%) Forceful Speed |
3/1(+45%) | (10) Forceful Speed 3/1, Improving 3-y-o who defied the handicapper again to make it 3 in a row at Epsom (1½m) 9 days ago. That was an apprentice event so he escapes a penalty. Obvious claims. Nicely on top in the closing stages when bringing up his hat-trick at Epsom; unpenalised. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (16/1 +52%) Kitsune Power |
16/1(+52%) | (5) Kitsune Power 16/1, Progressed quite well at 3 but he has just one creditable effort to show from his 5 outings this season. Headgear off. Having a disappointing campaign but he's become dangerously handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (18/1 -13%) The City's Phantom |
18/1(-13%) | (11) The City's Phantom 18/1, Good second of 5 in handicap at Newmarket (1¼m, good to firm, 9/4) 12 days ago. Races off the same mark here and should be in the shake-up under Hollie Doyle. Capable off this mark but his inconsistency is a drawback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (10/1 +9%) Chelsea Green |
10/1(+9%) | (4) Chelsea Green 10/1, Showed much-improved form to make winning return at Newmarket (1m) in May. Good third in a French listed race over this trip in July but not at her best when a well-held fourth in 1¼m handicap back at Newmarket 17 days ago. Raced too freely with no cover when fourth at Newmarket last time; one to note. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (12/1 +45%) James McHenry |
12/1(+45%) | (6) James McHenry 12/1, Started the year with wins in 1m handicaps at Ripon and Haydock. Form has levelled off since but he was a creditable third over this trip at Newmarket in July. Hindered by a slow start when below-form fourth in blinkers (quickly discarded) at Ripon last time. Dual 1m winner; gelded since being below par last time in new blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (18/1 +10%) Fantasy Believer |
18/1(+10%) | (9) Fantasy Believer 18/1, Latest win at Newmarket in July. Fourth of 7 in handicap (8/1) at Newbury (1¼m, heavy) 18 days ago. Bit more needed. Needs to better his recent efforts, though soft wouldn't have been ideal the last time.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (7/2 +50%) Intricacy |
7/2(+50%) | (7) Intricacy 7/2, Developing a consistent record and scored readily in first-time cheekpieces at Ascot (1¼m) in July. Solid in-frame efforts in strong 3-y-o only events at Goodwood and Newbury since. High on the shortlist. Consistent handicapper who has been gelded during his recent break; thereabouts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
The form of INTRICACY's most recent third at Newbury looks very strong, with the second scoring in since and the winner finishing second in the Cambridgeshire. The form of his stable must also be noted and the son of Dubawi may have too much for Forceful Speed, who arrives on a four-timer. Another consistent sort at this level, Box To Box must enter calculations, along with the unexposed Ziryab and The City's Phantom.
FORCEFUL SPEED races off the same mark as when successful at Epsom 9 days ago so should stand a good chance of extending his winning run to 4. Fellow 3-y-os Intricacy and Ziryab, who has his first outing since being gelded, can give him most to do in quite a useful contest.
The filly CHELSEA GREEN (nap) is interesting on the strength of her Listed third in France and she got no cover last time.

9/2(+31%) | (8) Chorus Line 9/2, C&D winner. 12/1, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Thirsk (8f, soft) 22 days ago, unable to sustain effort. C&D winner; didn't run too badly last time on soft ground that perhaps wasn't ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (4/1 +0%) Charencey |
4/1(+0%) | (7) Charencey 4/1, Caught the eye when fourth of 7 in novice event at Newcastle (6f, 9/2) 32 days ago, considerately handled. Makes handicap debut back up in trip and he's open to improvement. Unexposed handicap debutant; pedigree hints at improvement when sent 1m+. |

3rd (6) (14/1 +22%) Culcor |
14/1(+22%) | (6) Culcor 14/1, 12/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 15 days ago, left poorly placed from a bad draw. Hasn't offered a great deal in British handicaps and looks out touch at present. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (20/1 -122%) No Saint |
20/1(-122%) | (3) No Saint 20/1, 22/1, bit below form seventh of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 24 days ago. Visor fitted for first time. Hasn't progressed from his maiden win and a visor is now tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 -75%) Marsh Benham |
14/1(-75%) | (2) Marsh Benham 14/1, Unreliable type. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Brighton in June. Creditable fourth of 9 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good, 8/1) 50 days ago, nearest finish when consenting to run on. Temperament clearly an issue but mark is workable if he's on a "going" day. Capable but has his quirks, which have been evident the last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (7/1 +42%) Believe You Me |
7/1(+42%) | (10) Believe You Me 7/1, Winner at Chepstow in July. 8/1, below form eighth of 14 in handicap at this course (8.2f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Class 6 winner; only eighth in a 1m Class 5 here last time; 7f more her trip, though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (13/2 -44%) Bird Of Play |
13/2(-44%) | (5) Bird Of Play 13/2, Winner at Haydock in May. 8/1, respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at Redcar (8f, good) 21 days ago. Can make presence felt eased further 2 lb. Successful off this mark in May and has held his form fairly well since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (10/1 -186%) Royal Bliss |
10/1(-186%) | (9) Royal Bliss 10/1, Career best when winning 10-runner handicap at Yarmouth (7f, soft, 10/1) 19 days ago, driven out. Has good chance on form upped just 3 lb. Off the mark with a battling success at Yarmouth (7f, soft) and that had been coming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (11/1 +21%) The Cruising Lord |
11/1(+21%) | (1) The Cruising Lord 11/1, Latest win at Newbury in July. 33/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 7 days ago. Eased in grade but others more persuasive. Infrequent winner (3-35) and his best days have come at sprint distances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (22/1 +33%) Revision |
22/1(+33%) | (4) Revision 22/1, Eighth of 12 in handicap (80/1) at Newmarket (8f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Needs to leave that effort behind. Well held for this yard but likely to come good again sooner or later. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (18/1 +36%) Snow Girl |
18/1(+36%) | (11) Snow Girl 18/1, First run since leaving Kevin Ryan when eighth of 9 in handicap at Haydock (7f, good to firm, 16/1) 32 days ago. This will reveal more. Saddle slipped on her debut for this yard at Haydock when she was was a big price. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (13) (14/1 +36%) Nightout |
14/1(+36%) | (13) Nightout 14/1, Eighth of 12 in handicap (40/1) at Redcar (7f, good to firm) 13 days ago, slowly away. Blinkers back on and others more persuasive. Has run the odd decent race but not of late and he's now 0-14. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (12) (14/1 +22%) Absolute Dream |
14/1(+22%) | (12) Absolute Dream 14/1, Latest win at Hamilton in September. Eleventh of 13 in handicap at Newcastle (8f, 14/1) 21 days ago. Inconsistent but won two starts back and he's still well handicapped. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Royal Bliss got off the mark at Yarmouth last month and she is likely to enter the reckoning once again, despite a 4lb rise from the handicapper. Bird Of Play shaped as though the return to 7f would aid his cause when fourth at Redcar last time, but a chance is taken with CHARENCEY. He has shaped with promise on a couple of occasions and an opening mark of 66 could prove to be lenient.
ROYAL BLISS bounced back to the pick of her juvenile form when landing a handicap at Yarmouth 3 weeks ago, and on that evidence, she can follow up from 3 lb higher. Charency is a likely improver now handicapping, with the enigmatic Marsh Benham one to consider for place purposes.
The filly CHORUS LINE didn't run too badly last time on ground that was perhaps a little too testing and she seems to like it here.

1st (12) (7/1 +0%) Shark Two One |
7/1(+0%) | (12) Shark Two One 7/1, Won 9-runner handicap (4/1) at Catterick (7f, heavy) 17 days ago by ½ length from Direct Hit. This is a deeper race but he's clearly in good order. Kept on strongly to exploit much reduced mark last month; not fully exposed over 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6/1 -20%) Tuscan |
6/1(-20%) | (2) Tuscan 6/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. 8/1, respectable sixth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (8f) 11 days ago, never nearer having had to wait for a gap. That suggests he's in good nick and he can make presence felt. Seemed to arrest his decline last month and looks poised to strike soon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (7/1 +18%) Alseeyerthere |
7/1(+18%) | (10) Alseeyerthere 7/1, Winner at Redcar in June. Respectable fifth of 12 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good to firm, 5/1) 13 days ago, not ideally placed. Not taken lightly. Hasn't really kicked on since breakthrough win in June but still enters calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (11/1 -22%) Direct Hit |
11/1(-22%) | (11) Direct Hit 11/1, 22/1 and blinkered for first time, good ½-length second of 9 to Shark Two One in handicap at Catterick (7f, heavy) 17 days ago, nearest finish. Stayed on well for second at Catterick last month; this stiffer track ought to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (33/1 +50%) Berkshire Phantom |
33/1(+50%) | (6) Berkshire Phantom 33/1, 50/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Chester (7.6f, heavy) 10 days ago. Seems badly to have lost his way in recent months. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (13/2 -18%) Media Guest |
13/2(-18%) | (5) Media Guest 13/2, One win from 25 Flat runs. Nineteen runs since last win in 2021. 2/1, creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Yarmouth (7f, soft) 19 days ago. Likely to give it another good go. Very consistent since upped to 7f in July and ought to be on the premises again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (11/1 +8%) Thewaytothestars |
11/1(+8%) | (9) Thewaytothestars 11/1, Latest win at Windsor in August. Ninth of 12 in handicap at Chester (7f, soft, 9/1) 25 days ago. Others more persuasive. Excused defeat from tough draw last time and was in good form beforehand; e-w claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (5/1 -11%) Seattle Time |
5/1(-11%) | (7) Seattle Time 5/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 17/2, good second of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (7f, soft) 19 days ago. May have a bigger performance in him, Low-mileage 3yo who was second on recent handicap debut; likely contender again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (9/2 +10%) Micks Dream |
9/2(+10%) | (3) Micks Dream 9/2, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 4/1, first run since leaving Roger Teal when very good second of 6 in handicap at Brighton (8f, heavy) 22 days ago despite being denied a clear run. Shortlist material. Ran big race in defeat on last month's stable debut and remains well handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (50/1 -355%) Haworth Star |
50/1(-355%) | (8) Haworth Star 50/1, Seventh of 8 in novice event (11/1) at Ripon (5f, good to soft) 64 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Significantly back up in trip for handicap debut. Well held in two soft-ground sprints this summer but his 7f debut in May was encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (18/1 +36%) Miss Britain |
18/1(+36%) | (1) Miss Britain 18/1, Latest win at Catterick in April. Last of 7 in handicap (22/1) at Beverley (7.4f, heavy) 14 days ago. Well handicapped on spring form but needs to better her recent efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (4) (16/1 +27%) Vinaka |
16/1(+27%) | (4) Vinaka 16/1, Winner at Epsom in August. Below form sixth of 10 in handicap (16/1) at Yarmouth (8f, soft) 19 days ago. Proving inconsistent. Caused 40-1 surprise at Epsom in August but two lesser efforts have followed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
SEATTLE TIME appeared to show his inexperience under pressure when runner-up on his handicap bow at Chepstow and the son of Time Test is likely to be more streetwise on this occasion. Media Guest has been running consistently well of late and is likely to be competitive once again, while Micks Dream, Shark Two One and Direct Hit are others capable of a decent showing.
Having been sold for just 1,000 gns, MICKS DREAM made an excellent start for new connections when second at Brighton despite a troubled passage. He's selected to go one place better at the chief expense of Media Guest and Tuscan.
After drawing clear if the others with a well-handicapped rival on his recent stable debut, MICKS DREAM is still on a good mark.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
