1st (2) (10/11 +60%) Wewillgowithplanb |
10/11(+60%) | (2) Wewillgowithplanb 10/11, Ex-Irish hurdle winner who did the job well on his fencing debut at Fontwell (17.8f) last March. Back to that sort of form when third of 8 in handicap chase at Hereford (16f, good to soft) latest and can race off same mark here. Promising chaser who has won on soft and lost little in defeat when 3rd at Hereford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/10 -38%) Hatos |
11/10(-38%) | (3) Hatos 11/10, Off the mark in this sphere at Ffos Las (16f) earlier this month and improved on that when following up in 4-runner handicap chase at Wincanton (15.7f, heavy) 10 days ago. Looks the one to beat. All 3 wins on heavy, the latest two readily over fences; good chance of hat-trick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (12/1 -243%) Nambiti |
12/1(-243%) | (1) Nambiti 12/1, Fairly useful over hurdles/fences in France but came down 3 out on Hereford debut for Venetia Williams back in November 2022 and was pulled up at Sandown the following month. Switches to chasing on first start since and yard is more than capable of getting one ready after a layoff. Won 2 of last 5 chases in France, latest in 2021; non-completer in 2 hurdle runs for yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
HATOS followed up his Ffos Las triumph with another cosy success at Wincanton 10 days ago and, despite a further 6lb hike in the ratings, Anthony Honeyball's charge looks well placed to complete the hat-trick. Wewillgowithplanb ought to give another good account of himself, while Nambiti hasn't been seen since being pulled up in a Pertemps Qualifier at Sandown in December 2022 but he is worth a market check on his return.
HATOS is going the right way over fences and can complete the hat-trick. Wewillgowithplanb looks the safest option for the forecast.
The proven ability of HATOS on heavy ground swings things in his favour but Wewillgowithplanb is unlikely to be a pushover.

1st (3) (7/4 +0%) Martalmix'jac |
7/4(+0%) | (3) Martalmix'jac 7/4, Scored at Stratford (19.5f) in October and arrives on the back of an excellent second to Natty Night in handicap chase here (20f, heavy) 5 weeks ago. Player off an unchanged mark. Closely matched with Natty Night on 2m4f form here; well worth another go at 2m6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (5/1 +44%) Wide To West |
5/1(+44%) | (5) Wide To West 5/1, Little form under Rules so easy to look elsewhere. Not beaten far on chase debut over 2m7f but pulled up on next 2 starts; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (10/3 +63%) Jack Doyen |
10/3(+63%) | (4) Jack Doyen 10/3, Scored over fences at Warwick last spring but hasn't been in the same form since, tried in this headgear when well held at Southwell latest. Won 2m4f chase last March; nothing doing of late, including with headgear switch latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (9/4 -13%) Natty Night |
9/4(-13%) | (1) Natty Night 9/4, Ran well when runner-up at Hereford and went one place better to open his account over fences here (20f) last month, asserting final 100 yds. Easy to excuse latest run so considered. Lesser run over 3m1f latest but good 2m4f win here previously; this trip should be fine. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Although NATTY NIGHT struggled at Hereford last time, he was comfortably clear of Martalmix'jac (second) when the pair met over 2m4f here last month, and a 3lb swing might not be enough to see the latter reverse that form. Jack Doyen is now 9lb lower than when winning at Warwick in March last year and he should not be underestimated.
FLEMEN'S TIPPLE (declared 15.55 Plumpton Monday) made a positive start over hurdles when fourth at Market Rasen and shades the vote over Natty Night, who didn't have things go right for him from an early stage at Hereford 2 weeks ago. Martalmix'jac was a good second to Natty Night over C&D 5 weeks ago and is another to consider.
Little between NATTY NIGHT and Martalmix'jac on their 2m4f form here in January but the former was the one who found the most.

1st (5) (5/6 +72%) Bobbi's Beauty |
5/6(+72%) | (5) Bobbi's Beauty 5/6, Successful in an Irish point and comes here having showed more than previously over hurdles when runner-up on handicap debut at Ffos Las (15.8f) 26 days ago. Feasible to think the switch to chasing could see her in a better light now. Irish point winner; modest hurdle form but switch to fences may see her in a better light. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/4 +10%) Desert Fortune |
9/4(+10%) | (4) Desert Fortune 9/4, Runner-up only start in bumpers but never pulled up any trees over hurdles, pulled up at Huntingdon (25f) when last seen 11 months ago. Still, she is a former winner in points so worth noting if the market speaks in her favour now tackling larger obstacles. Irish point winner in 2022; modest hurdle form in Britain; chase debut for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (8/1 +0%) Penny Mallow |
8/1(+0%) | (2) Penny Mallow 8/1, Bumper/hurdles winner but well below that level in 6 starts over fences so far. Making early mistakes prior to taking a heavy fall at Ffos Las (19.4f) 26 days ago. Assessor continues to relinquish his grip but percentage call to look elsewhere. Dual winning hurdler early in career; lots to prove on chase form since back from absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (6/1 +63%) My Girl Lollipop |
6/1(+63%) | (3) My Girl Lollipop 6/1, Maiden who ended time with Stuart Edmunds in good form, again making the frame when third in handicap hurdle at Warwick (25f) in May. However, easy to back and offered little making yard/chase debut when pulled up at Catterick (25.2f) 47 days ago. This ought to reveal more. Placed in 5 hurdles at up to 3m2f but pulled up on chase debut for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (125/1 -25%) Autumn Blaze |
125/1(-25%) | (6) Autumn Blaze 125/1, Offered little in bumpers/over hurdles and similar story in 2 tries over fences in recent weeks. Hard to fancy from out of the weights. Yet to show much, well held in two handicap hurdles and pulled up in both chase starts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
While a few of these arrive with something to prove, it is hard to oppose LINCOLN LYN. A 5lb rise for her recent Wetherby triumph looks more than fair and she is taken to repeat the dose. Point winner Bobbi's Beauty hit the woodwork over hurdles last time and she must be of interest now sent chasing, while Penny Mallow heads the remainder.
Having finished runner-up to a subsequent winner on her penultimate start, LINCOLN LYN ran out an authoritative winner at Wetherby 33 days ago and a 5 lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another bold showing. Chase-debutantes Desert Fortune and Bobbi's Beauty may emerge as the chief threats.
Lincoln Lyn is in good heart but winning Irish pointer DESERT FORTUNE goes chasing at a modest level for her new yard.

Everything'sontick |
(4) (7/1 -110%)7/1(-110%) | (4) Everything'sontick 7/1, Ended last term under a cloud over hurdles but made a winning start over fences at Leicester in November and backed it up with a good third of 6 in handicap at Cheltenham (25.2f, good to soft) next time. However, not so good in headgear over C&D 5 weeks ago. Engaged 3.20 Plumpton Monday. Solid C&D win on chase debut; ran poorly here last month; lucky win at Plumpton yesterday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (3) (6/4 +73%) Hauraki Gulf |
6/4(+73%) | (3) Hauraki Gulf 6/4, Bumper debut winner who showed fair form without getting his head in front over hurdles. However, he improved when making a winning chase debut at Sedgefield (21f) and backed that up when third in better race at Exeter. Player back down in class. Has taken well to fences, winning over 2m5f and losing little in defeat (3m) since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/2 +29%) Lord Of Kerak |
5/2(+29%) | (2) Lord Of Kerak 5/2, Fairly useful hurdles winner who has reached a similar level without tasting success over fences, back to best when second in 5-runner event here (20f) in December. Possibly not over those exertions at Wetherby since. Change of headgear. Career littered with breaks; no problem with the trip/ground but lifeless last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/8 +51%) No Tackle |
13/8(+51%) | (5) No Tackle 13/8, Only second run for his current yard when getting off the mark over fences in 10-runner handicap chase over C&D (heavy) 5 weeks ago. Up 6 lb and needs considering. Likeable display when C&D winner latest on first completion for new yard; can progress. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
A step up in trip over fences brought out a much-improved performance from Uttoxeter scorer HERE COMES MCCOY last month. An 8lb rise appears to be workable for the nine-year-old and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to follow up. Hauraki Gulf could only muster a third-placed finish at Exeter on his latest outing, but a return to this level should see him prove more competitive, with last-time-out winner No Tackle completing the shortlist.
HERE COMES MCCOY was a most decisive winner on his second start over fences at Uttoxeter last month so is taken to defy an 8 lb rise. Hauraki Gulf rates the biggest threat back down in class ahead of No Tackle, who scored over C&D 5 weeks ago.
No Tackle is a promising chaser but he may have to give best to HERE COMES McCOY (nap) who won in good style at Uttoxeter.

1st (1) (8/1 -14%) Bennys King |
8/1(-14%) | (1) Bennys King 8/1, Reinvigorated by a switch to hunters and fitting of cheekpieces last term, winning at Hereford and Fakenham prior to finishing second in the Aintree Foxhunter. Pulled up in handicap chases on first 2 starts of this season but placed back in hunter company the last twice and he merits respect. Second in Foxhunters' at Aintree last April but not in the same form this winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (11/1 -175%) Hardline |
11/1(-175%) | (6) Hardline 11/1, Winless under Rules since landing a Grade 1 novice chase at Limerick back in 2018 but has scored 3 times between the flags since, the latest in December. Positives to glean from his effort in a hunter at Thurles (24.6f, heavy) last month and this Irish raider is not discounted. Last three wins in points; tough task at Thurles latest but well adrift. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (10/3 -33%) Cat Tiger |
10/3(-33%) | (2) Cat Tiger 10/3, Useful chaser at his best for Paul Nicholls, winner of this in 2021 and found just one too good in the 2022 Aintree Foxhunters'. Limited to just 5 starts since and blotted his copybook when running out on debut for this yard at Hereford last month following a short stint in France. Won this in 2021; in good form in France but ducked out latest; good claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/2 -80%) Espoir De Teillee |
9/2(-80%) | (3) Espoir De Teillee 9/2, Smart handicap chaser on his day and bolted up when making all in this last year. Also successful at Kempton last season and, having showcased his wellbeing with a point win earlier this month, he has to be taken seriously. Won this last year (good); mixed form on soft these days and unraced on heavy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (33/1 -106%) Shang Tang |
33/1(-106%) | (7) Shang Tang 33/1, Fairly useful chaser who produced his best effort since joining this yard when second in a 5-runner affair at Ludlow (23.8f, soft). That was just his second start in a hunter and will probably pick up a race soon but others make more appeal here. Second at Ludlow (3m, soft) recently but that was ordinary form; up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (11/8 +66%) Percussion |
11/8(+66%) | (5) Percussion 11/8, Three-time chase winner who goes well over the Aintree National fences, placed in the Grand Sefton and Becher Chases this season. Didn't fully see things out under an aggressive ride upped to 29.2f at Warwick (soft) and he's of strong interest back down in trip on this hunter debut. Many excellent efforts since he win in 2022, over regulation and the big Aintree fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (20/1 -122%) Gallyhill |
20/1(-122%) | (4) Gallyhill 20/1, Winner of Down Royal maiden chase for Gordon Elliott in May 2022 but ended time with that yard on a downer and he didn't show enough in a point last month to make him of serious interest on this hunter debut. Formerly useful but 1-11 over fences; well-held last of 4 in a point for new connections. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
Although CAT TIGER comes with risks attached having ran out at the eighth fence at Hereford last month, the veteran has some smart form in the book. The Diamond Boy gelding will prove tough to beat if running to his best and he edges the verdict over Percussion. Representing the Laura Morgan yard, the nine-year-old posted a respectable fifth in the Classic Chase at Warwick in January. Espoir De Teillee makes most appeal of the remainder.
PERCUSSION is of strong interest on his first start in a hunter and he is marginally preferred to last year's winner of this race, Espoir de Teillee, who should be spot-on for a repeat bid on the back of his success between the flags. Bennys King should also have a part to play, but while Cat Tiger would be a big threat if at his best, he arrives here with a bit to prove.
Percussion looks sure to go well but the 2021 winner CAT TIGER is preferred, despite having ducked out at Hereford recently.

1st (3) (2/5 +30%) Iskandar Pecos |
2/5(+30%) | (3) Iskandar Pecos 2/5, Mutiple point winner who posted an encouraging second of 8 in hunter chase (7/1) at Haydock (22.2f, heavy) on NH debut 10 days ago. Hard to oppose. Greatly exceeded point form when second at Haydock recently; big class drop. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (11/1 +0%) Ultra Viers |
11/1(+0%) | (6) Ultra Viers 11/1, Winning pointer who posted his best effort under Rules when second in this contest last year. Fit from a point last month (fell late on), he may be able to get in the shake-up again. Pulled up at this level in June; out of contention when fell in point on only start since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (33/1 -560%) Fine Investment |
33/1(-560%) | (1) Fine Investment 33/1, Little impact in bumpers or over hurdles but arrives on back of victory in small-field point last month and experienced amateur booked. Mostly modest form and needs to come on again from his hunt members' point win in January. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (13/2 +28%) The Whistle Blower |
13/2(+28%) | (5) The Whistle Blower 13/2, Scored several times in points but his exploits under Rules have been very disappointing, distant fourth when last seen at Huntingdon in May, Five point wins, including on heavy; has struggled over regulation fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (15/2 +25%) The Creadan Rogue |
15/2(+25%) | (4) The Creadan Rogue 15/2, Limited impact for Gordon Elliott and, while a multiple point winner (third last time), his latest outing (9 months ago) in this sphere was poor. Makes debut for new yard. Won 5 of 13 points; 3rd to classy one latest; yard has better claims with Iskandar Pecos. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (22/1 -57%) I Like Oats |
22/1(-57%) | (2) I Like Oats 22/1, €13,000 3-y-o, £5,000 5-y-o, Westerner gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful 2¾m hurdle winner Ballyblack and fair hurdler Quarry Girl. Yet to score between the flags and blinkers applied for Rules debut. 0-7 in points and hasn't gone on from creditable 2nd in November; first-time blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (66/1 -371%) Grenadine Save |
66/1(-371%) | (7) Grenadine Save 66/1, Mutiple point winner last year but was very limited over hurdles for Richard Hobson and finished well held on sole outing between the flags this term. Three small-field point wins last spring; way back on recent return; a lot of work to do. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A reproduction of ISKANDAR PECOS' recent second at Haydock is likely to see the six-year-old gaining a breakthrough victory in this sphere. The gelded son of Jeu St Eloi boasts some smart point-to-point form and is hard to oppose. Stablemate The Creadan Rogue has been in fair form between the flags of late and he may fare best of the remaining rivals, ahead of Fine Investment.
It's hard to get away from ISKANDAR PECOS, who ran a cracker on his Rules debut in a stronger contest at Haydock recently. Fine Investment and Ultra Viers may be the ones to chase him home.
This is all about ISKANDAR PECOS who ran such a great race against useful and more experienced rivals at Haydock recently.
Ths is the racecard key.
