66/1(-100%) | (10) Stone Crafter 66/1, Modest maiden on the Flat, making GB/IRE jumps debut. 66/1 and blinkered for 1st time, twelfth of 13 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good) 8 days ago. 56-rated Flat maiden, never better than fourth in 11 starts, hard to make a case for him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (12) (80/1 -21%) Where R U Now Bob |
80/1(-21%) | (12) Where R U Now Bob 80/1, Modest Flat winner, making GB/IRE jumps debut. 14/1, twelfth of 17 in handicap at Cork (10f, good) 28 days ago. Dundalk 1m win in January the highlight of an 11-raced Flat career, modest turf form. |

150/1(-127%) | (1) Cletus 150/1, Poor maiden on the Flat, making GB/IRE jumps debut. 80/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at this course (8.1f, good to soft) 38 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Low-rated Flat performer; makes no appeal on introduction to hurdling. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Joseph O'Brien's NURBURGRING is a more than interesting recruit to the hurdling ranks. He is a strapping son of Zoffany who reached a mark of 96 on the Flat and was considered good enough to contest a Group 2 at Royal Ascot in June, where he finished unplaced. He is sure to well schooled for this assignment coming from a powerful stable. Malbay Madness won twice on the Flat and could develop into a useful hurdler for Emmet Mullins. It wasn't so long ago that he finished fifth in the Ulster Derby at Down Royal. Kyogo showed potential in third on hurdling debut over C&D last month. St Faz and Thats Jet look the possible pick of the remainder.
NURBURGRING and Malbay Madness both appeal as types to make their mark in this sphere representing good yards and could well be the pair to focus on. The former reached a useful level on the Flat and earns the vote. St Faz, another recent winner on the level, and Show No Fear complete the shortlist.

7th (4) (14/1 -155%) A Law Of Her Own |
14/1(-155%) | (4) A Law Of Her Own 14/1, Visored for first time, career best when winning 18-runner handicap hurdle at Galway (16.5f, good to soft, 18/1) 23 days ago, battling well. Game winner of 18-runner mares' contest on handicap debut at Galway; 8lb rise harsh enough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (20/1 -167%) Wouldn't You Agree |

Not an obvious follow-up contender on profile. Won this two years ago; first success since when rider cut every corner at Bellewstown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MIGHTY TOM was absolutely electric over C&D in May and is taken to enjoy another spin around Killarney. He blitzed his rivals by 10 lengths in a Listed handicap hurdle that day which earned him a shot at the Galway Hurdle. A change of tactics saw him lead after the fourth flight and, although he was there to be shot at, he didn't run badly in sixth. Shecouldbeanything wasn't beaten far into fifth in a quality handicap hurdle at Galway. She won her previous two races over flights and looks a big player. A Law Of Her Own rallied to win a valuable mares' handicap hurdle in Galway and is clearly going the right way. Wouldn't You Agree has been kept for Killarney after scoring at Bellewstown and is far from out of it if he gets decent ground.
MIGHTY TOM has C&D winning form to his name and having shaped as though still in excellent heart in the Galway Hurdle 3 weeks ago, he can cash in on this drop in grade. There is depth to this race, though, with Sequoiaspirit and A Law of Her Own just a couple of potential threats.
Very few can be ruled out. SHECOULDBEANYTHING may improve enough from the experience of her first handicap at Galway to score here

1st (1) (6/1 -50%) Lucid Dreams |
6/1(-50%) | (1) Lucid Dreams 6/1, Useful hurdler. Latest win in hurdle at Roscommon in June. Respectable tenth of 20 in handicap hurdle at Galway (16f, good, 22/1) 21 days ago, weakening before last. Significantly up in trip and he's a likely player despite conceding weight all round. Progressive prior to mid-field finish in Galway handicap; bred to stay but needs to settle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (1.88/1 -15%) Tag Man |
1.88/1(-15%) | (6) Tag Man 1.88/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Respectable second of 16 in novice hurdle at Galway (21f, good to soft, 4/1) 23 days ago. Yard in good form. Tongue strap on 1st time. Has to be taken seriously. Placed in three maidens including when second over 2m5f at Galway last time; tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (16/1 -129%) Stuzzikini |
16/1(-129%) | (3) Stuzzikini 16/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Good fifth of 13 in maiden at Tramore (16f, good, 20/1) 8 days ago, needing stiffer test. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Blinkers on 1st time. 2m maiden winner was runner-up over 3m at Kilbeggan in June; in fair form on Flat lately. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (6.5/1 +13%) Solitary Man |
6.5/1(+13%) | (2) Solitary Man 6.5/1, Fairly useful hurdler. 15/8, career best when winning 14-runner handicap hurdle at this course (17f, good) 36 days ago, always holding on. Return to further rates a likely plus and he may yet have more to offer. Wasn't stopping when winning 2m1f handicap here last month; may improve for longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (2.25/1 +44%) Black Bamboo |
2.25/1(+44%) | (4) Black Bamboo 2.25/1, Fairly useful bumper winner who has progressed with each start over hurdles, keeping on for third in 16-runner Galway maiden (21f) 23 days ago. Longer trip here promises to be within range and he could have more to offer. Stuck to his task when third in Galway maiden over 2m5f; may reverse form with Tag Man. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (5.5/1 +15%) Presenting Doyen |
5.5/1(+15%) | (5) Presenting Doyen 5.5/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Course winner. Creditable second of 5 in novice hurdle (11/10) at Sligo (17.8f, good to soft) 15 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. return to this sort of test rates a plus and no reason why she won't give another good account. Had perfect set-up when winning over 2m4f here last month; runner-up at Sligo since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TAG MAN ran a solid race in second behind an odds-on favourite over a similar trip in Galway at the start of the month. He was up in trip and it was his best performance since landing a bumper at Punchestown in April last year. He gets a first-time tongue-strap. Lucid Dreams was strong over an extended 2m4f at Roscommon in June. Trainer John Ryan thinks a lot of him and Liam Quinlan takes 5lb off his back. John Murphy's stable is in form and his Black Bamboo was a place, and two and three-quarter lengths, behind Tag Man in Galway. Solitary Man takes a marked step up in trip after winning a handicap hurdle here last month. He cannot be ruled out.
TAG MAN ran pretty close to his best on the back of 3 months off when runner-up in a Galway novice hurdle 23 days ago and, equipped with a first-time tongue tie, he shades the vote to go one place better. Lucid Dreams and Black Bamboo head up the dangers.
Galway second Tag Man may improve in a tongue-tie but BLACK BAMBOO came up the hill well when third then and can reverse the form

1st (2) (0.8/1 +20%) Hubrisko |
0.8/1(+20%) | (2) Hubrisko 0.8/1, Useful hurdler and matched that level on 2 of his 4 starts in defeat over hurdles, runner-up in a Wexford maiden (19.7f) on penultimate start last month. Undone by mistakes on handicap debut at Galway (18.2f) 3 weeks ago but worth another chance to get back on track. Disappointing fav in Galway h'cap but was kicked at the start; fancied on overall form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (1.2/1 +36%) The Friday Man |
1.2/1(+36%) | (5) The Friday Man 1.2/1, Useful hurdler. Five wins from 8 runs last season. 4/7, below form third of 12 in novice chase at Kilbeggan (25f, soft) 42 days ago (reportedly bled). No surprise to see him get back on track. Second at Limerick was franked but hard to put him forward after he burst at Kilbeggan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (20/1 -25%) Sky Sprinter |
20/1(-25%) | (4) Sky Sprinter 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Fifth of 12 in novice chase (14/1) at Kilbeggan (25f, soft) on debut over fences 42 days ago. Open to progress. May improve on last month's chasing debut fifth at Kilbeggan having been off for a year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (100/1 -203%) Finding Freedom |
100/1(-203%) | (1) Finding Freedom 100/1, Poor form over hurdles and whilst he showed a bit more than previously when sixth of 12 in novice chase at Kilbeggan (25f) 6 weeks ago, low-grade handicaps will be more his bag in this sphere. Not shamed on first start over racecourse fences at Kilbeggan but unlikely to contend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (28/1 -12%) Kitsilano |
28/1(-12%) | (3) Kitsilano 28/1, Winning pointer. Modest hurdler. 7/2, seventh of 13 in novice chase at Tramore (21f, good) on debut over fences 84 days ago. This should reveal more. Dual-winning pointer has shown little over hurdles or on chase debut at Tramore in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (80/1 +20%) Amyr |
80/1(+20%) | (7) Amyr 80/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. Pulled up in novice chase (250/1) at Tramore (21.7f, soft) on debut over fences 5 days ago, pulled up before 2 out. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Modest in points and under Rules; rank outsider; cheekpieces. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HUBRISKO disappointed in Galway, but it may be best to put a line through that run as he suffered a kick at the start. Prior to that, he was runner-up in two beginners' chases in Wexford and Punchestown. The form of the Punchestown run got a boost when the winner won by a wide margin in Tramore last week. His trainer, Willie Mullins, has saddled the last two winners of this race. The Friday Man has been a beaten favourite in all three of his runs over fences, including twice at odds-on, but was placed on all three occasions. He was more than decent over hurdles, though, and should garner wins in this discipline. The Short Go won his maiden hurdle by 11 lengths at this venue in May. That entitles him to respect on his chasing debut at a track he clearly enjoys.
HUBRISKO found his relative inexperience catching him out on handicap debut in this sphere at Galway 3 weeks ago but, having shown promise in maiden company previously, he earns the vote to bounce back returned to this less competitive environment. The Friday Man rates the lead threat, ahead of chase-debutant The Short Go.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MEEHALL won this race last year and could repeat the feat. On his latest start over fences, he finished fifth in a higher grade at Tipperary in July and the horse a place behind him was good enough to easily take a beginners' chase in Tramore on his next start. Agirlcalledchloe has been operating off lovely light weights in finishing second at Tipperary and Roscommon. On both occasions, she raced prominently and is likely to go well for a long way here off another light weight. Her trainer, Philip Rothwell, has certainly been among the winners recently. More Info makes her chasing debut off top-weight which won't be easy, but she has been in decent form over hurdles including when winning over a staying trip at Kilbeggan in June. Hard Rain was pulled up in Tramore last Friday, however, conditions were very attritional that evening. He could get involved if fully recovered from those exertions.
REBEL WALTZ returned to form when finding just one too good at Wexford a fortnight ago and he is appealing back in this sphere off a 1 lb lower mark. Chase debutant More Info will be a threat if taking to fences at the first attempt, while Meehall is third choice ahead of Agirlcalledchloe and Secret Cargo.

|PU| (10) (6/1 -118%) Royal Juniper |
6/1(-118%) | (10) Royal Juniper 6/1, Career best when winning 10-runner handicap chase at Wexford (16f, heavy, 17/2) 14 days ago, digging deep. Significantly back up in trip. Shortlist material. Built on Kilbeggan fourth when winning over 2m at Wexford, further progress is possible. |

11/1(+45%) | (11) Withallduerespect 11/1, Pulled up in handicap chase (20/1) at Tipperary (19.5f, soft) 52 days ago, beaten some way out. Tongue strap on 1st time. Won at Clonmel last summer for Henry De Bromhead, has not matched that form for this yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ROYAL JUNIPER may have turned the corner after delivering in Wexford a fortnight ago. He didn't go unbacked over the minimum trip that day and a 5lb rise isn't excessive. The step up to an extended 2m4f shouldn't inconvenience a horse who won a point-to-point in May last year. It took Norwigi some time to get off the mark over fences in Roscommon this month. She's a very well-bred mare, though, and has to rate a danger. Arverne has been lightly raced this year, but did finish runner-up on his last visit to Killarney in October. Coole Arcade should be a factor in first-time cheekpieces.
The vote goes to ROYAL JUNIPER, who improved when opening his account over 2m at Wexford recently and shouldn't be fazed by this step back up in trip. Norwigi finally got off the mark in this sphere at Roscommon 17 days ago and is likely to emerge as the main danger, though Cahirdown Boy will have a fighting chance if on-song and Coole Arcade also enters calculations.

4th (1) (4/1 +60%) Vado Forte |
4/1(+60%) | (1) Vado Forte 4/1, Below form sixth of 12 in handicap chase (10/1) at Galway (18.2f, soft) 19 days ago. Weak finishing a worry but he's on a good mark. Won at Galway last year for Gordon Elliott, unplaced in same race this year, down in class. |

5th (5) (7.5/1 +0%) The Dara Man |
7.5/1(+0%) | (5) The Dara Man 7.5/1, Unreliable type. C&D winner. Possibly amiss when pulled up in handicap chase (7/1) at this C&D (good) 35 days ago, tailing off quickly early final circuit. Tongue strap back on. Twice second in small-field events in June, pulled-up on his last two starts. |

7th (2) (6.5/1 +19%) Defan |
6.5/1(+19%) | (2) Defan 6.5/1, Fifth of 6 in handicap chase (18/1) at Kilbeggan (19.4f, good) 67 days ago. Cheekpieces on and represents an excellent yard. Has struggled in four outings since wide-margin Ballinrobe win 15 months ago. |

|F| (10) (3.33/1 +58%) Western Cowboy |
3.33/1(+58%) | (10) Western Cowboy 3.33/1, Fair winner at 16f over hurdles. 17/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, respectable fourth of 11 in handicap chase at Wexford (19.8f, heavy) 14 days ago. Three consecutive fourth placings in handicaps indicates that he needs to find improvement. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
VADO FORTE has been dropped 3lb by the handicapper and it is worth noting that he actually led at the final fence in a good handicap chase over further at the Galway Festival before giving best on the climb for home. Good As Hell is more than capable over this sort of trip as evidenced by two victories in Tipperary this year. Niall Moore, who claims 7lb, has won on her before. Too Bright and Western Cowboy are others with claims in a tricky race.
THE DASHER CONWAY had little chance with a well-handicapped rival at Kilbeggan a fortnight ago but he beat the rest easily enough and can confirm himself to be ahead of his mark here. Irish Blaze and Too Bright warrant consideration, too.
RICKY LANGFORD has won two of his last three races over hurdles and may keep up the good work despite being 2lb out of the handciap

66/1(+56%) | (11) Magical Lass 66/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 250/1, fifteenth of 17 in bumper at Cork (18.7f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Huge price in four bumper starts so far, nothing to suggest she can feature.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
CRACKLINN WARRIOR could be another bumper winner for Willie Mullins. This Soldier Of Fortune mare is a sister to a horse who has won two bumpers in Britain this year, and is sure to be well prepared for her racecourse bow. Peter Fahey's Toto Too made a highly pleasing debut in a clear second at Galway. There was plenty of money around for him that day, so he is likely to be heavily involved in the distribution of prize money. Royal Hollow is a contender on the back of placed efforts at Tramore and Galway. Jockey Adam Ryan is good value for his 7lb claim.
TOTO TOO travelled smoothly and came clear of the remainder when runner-up at Galway on debut and, with improvement likely, he looks the one to beat for all that Willie Mullins' newcomer Cracklinn Warrior has the obvious potential to be above average. Royal Hollow is also considered.
The Mullins-trained newcomer Cracklinn Warrior can be rated a major threat to TOTO TOO who showed potential on his debut at Galway
Ths is the racecard key.
