16:30 Kelso Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having opened his account over hurdles in emphatic fashion at Downpatrick last month, INTENSE APPROACH looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to follow up. The five-year-old is rated 13lb higher than chief rival Kandor, who is heading in the right direction after his first career victory at Perth in July. Lucinda Russell's gelding is feared most, although it will be interesting to see how stable debutant Top Man Tom fares in the betting.

INTENSE APPROACH easily landed the odds at Downpatrick last month and this looks a good opportunity for him to follow up under a penalty. Kandor scored quite decisively in the end at Perth in July and appeals as the type to improve further, while Go Go Chicago could leave the bare form of his Stratford hurdling debut win well behind now stepping up in trip.

Although Kandor has the edge on one line of form, Irish raider INTENSE APPROACH is improving all the time and is just preferred.
