16/5(+9%)
(1) Kansas City Star 16/5, Point winner who was placed on 5 of 6 completed starts over hurdles (runner-up 4 times). The addition of first-time cheekpieces failed to do the trick when well held on handicap debut at Cheltenham in October and he's joined a rookie trainer going places ahead of this chase debut.
Point winner who could improve for the switch to fences on stable debut.

(2) Aggagio 4/1, Likeable dual-purpose performer who was in good form on the level during the summer, good third at Goodwood (2m) in September. Not an obvious one on pedigree for chasing but certainly not dismissed for good yard.
Talented dual-purpose performer who makes chase debut with trainer in fine form; respected.

(6) Non Stop 6/1, Fair Flat/hurdles winner who showed benefit of his chase debut effort when second of 8 in novice handicap at Taunton (18f) in November, pulling clear with a next-time-out winner. Underperformed back down in trip at Wincanton since though, so a bounce back is required.
Well beaten at Wincanton last time but good second previously; in the mix if bouncing back.

(5) Immortal 6/4, Chased home fairly useful types in 2m Sandown novice hurdles last season and again shaped encouragingly when third on handicap debut/reappearance at Ascot in November. Well backed but proved to be a disappointment back there 6 weeks later and now heads over the larger obstacles.
Expensive to follow over hurdles but perhaps fences will help unlock some potential.

At A Pinch

(7) At A Pinch 40/1, Resumed winning ways in 2m Southwell handicap hurdle last February. Not in the same form the following month and didn't get very far on first outing since leaving Harry Eustace after 10 months off at Doncaster last month. Worthy of a market check now chasing.
Two-time hurdle winner; makes chase debut with an unknown regarding her current form.
LTO Selection:

12:50 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lime Drop has struck the crossbar in both chase outings to date and she could find one too good again, that one being AGGAGIO. Gary Moore's gelding has plenty of ability, notching 10 wins between the Flat and over hurdles, and providing the larger obstacles don't pose any problems, he will prove a tough nut to crack. At A Pinch boasts a win at this track over timber and may surprise one or two on her fencing debut.

A tricky opener to solve but the vote goes to chasing-debutant KANSAS CITY STAR, who is yet to get his head in front under Rules but has been placed on 5 of his 6 completed starts over hurdles and has joined a trainer going places. Non Stop is put forward as the main danger provided he's able to put a lesser effort at Wincanton behind him, with Lime Drop and Aggagio also worthy of consideration.

Preference is for KANSAS CITY STAR, a point winner who is open to improvement on his chase debut and first run for Harry Derham.

LTO Selection:

13:25 Huntingdon Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dual bumper winner (and Listed-placed) MOON CHIME made a promising start to his hurdling career when third at Kempton on Boxing Day and normal improvement can see him go two places better. Jour D'evasion only found the talented Go To War too good at Ludlow on his latest outing and he should give another solid account. Newbury runner-up Strutter and Can't Resist It, who makes his stable debut for Fergal O'Brien, are other names to note.

Good bumper performer MOON CHIME made a promising start to his hurdle career at Kempton over Christmas and is preferred to Nicky Henderson's Newbury runner-up Strutter in what may develop into a straight fight between the pair. The likes of Jour d'Evasion and Walkingoneggshells should get involved in the battle for minor honours.

This looks good for useful bumper winner MOON CHIME who takes a drop in class after a very good effort at Kempton on his hurdle debut.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A chance is taken on REBEL INTENTIONS, who has yet to complete in two chase appearances but deserves another chance on his best hurdles form. He reportedly lost his right-hind shoe when disappointing last time and his four efforts prior to that were all full of promise, particularly when beating the smart Ed Keeper at Ascot in November. If he can get his jumping together, he could prove too classy for these. Last-time-out Taunton scorer Hard Frost and the in-and-out Safe Destination also warrant respect.

HARD FROST is going the right way and can follow up his Taunton victory. Safe Destination will be firmly in the mix if staging a revival, while Voice of Hope has place claims off his very low weight.

Raised just 3lb, Taunton scorer HARD FROST can follow up. Last year's runner-up Furkash could also run well.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MISTRAL NELL drew 12 lengths clear with the runner-up when opening her account over hurdles at Catterick last month and a 7lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to prevent the seven-year-old from completing a double. Sister Michael posted another good effort in defeat when second at Southwell in December and the Fame And Glory gelding is feared most, while last-time-out maiden scorer Rascal likely has more to offer now upped in distance on his handicap bow.

Top of the list are unexposed pair TREGELE and Rascal, with a narrow preference for the former, whose stable was back among the winners at the weekend. Sister Michael and Mistral Nell are also on the shortlist.

No time has been wasted in moving Rascal and TREGELE to handicaps, with the latter seemingly the better treated of the two.

Gavin Cromwell's mare boasts a rating of 150 and the conditions of this event suit her nicely. Pink Legend is rated 8lb inferior to the selection, whilst also giving 2lb to the Irish raider, but the veteran is still feared most in her current heart, ahead of Sacre Coeur.

Irish raider BRIDES HILL defied top-weight in a competitive Fairyhouse handicap last time and looks well up to making a successful return to listed level. Pink Legend has a very solid record in such company and rates as the biggest threat, with the progressive Sacre Coeur also highly respected back up in grade.

Some of her rivals are interesting but BRIDES HILL (nap) sets a high standard and has rock-solid credentials.

LTO Selection:

15:45 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A progressive sort since beginning life in handicap company last February, WHITE RHINO relished the step up to three miles when scoring at Cheltenham last month, and an extra half furlong on this occasion should not inconvenience as he looks to book his place back at Prestbury Park for the final of this series. Itchy Feet bounced back to form with an easy win at Market Rasen in November and he must enter calculations along with the hat-trick-seeking Classic Concorde.

WHITE RHINO has been highly progressive since switched to handicaps and he looks the one to be with on the back of a gutsy success at Cheltenham. My Bobby Dazzler ran a cracker at the same track last time, so he's respected, while there's plenty to like about the thriving Classic Concorde's chances.

There are several options in a competitive race but WHITE RHINO's Cheltenham win suggested further success awaits in staying races.

LTO Selection:

16:20 Huntingdon NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEAS THE DAY ran a race full of promise when runner-up on her debut at Wetherby in November and, with improvement expected, she can go one better in this winnable contest. The Nicky Henderson stable has been in excellent form of late and well-bred newcomer Crazierthandaisy must be monitored for market support, while What's One More is one with experience that could be capable of better. Cocco Madonna and Just A Memory can also have a say in proceedings.

CRAZIERTHANDAISY represents top connections and has seemingly found a rather thin bumper to start out in, so she's a most appealing newcomer. Seas The Day shaped well at Wetherby first time out and is feared. What's One More could bounce back and is respected.

Preference is for SEAS THE DAY. The shortlist is completed by Crazierthandaisy, Muriel May and What's One More.
