(4) Whosmydaddy 7/2, No significant impact in maiden/novice hurdles but proved a different proposition sent handicap chasing in headgear, winning over 3m at Musselburgh and Ayr. A further 7 lb rise is unlikely to prevent him making a bold bid for the hat-trick.
Unbeaten in the cheekpieces and it remains to be seen where this 6yo's limitations lie.

16:00 Hexham Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WHOSMYDADDY arrives here on the back of two victories earlier in the year and a 7lb rise for the most recent of those wins may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick. Ballylinch is an obvious threat to the selection following his success over this distance at Fakenham, while Dr Shirocco and Court Dreaming are others who make the shortlist.

WHOSMYDADDY has looked a natural switched to fences and he should take some stopping in his bid for the hat-trick. Ballylinch got back on track with positive tactics readopted when making all at Fakenham and rates the main threat.

Whosmydaddy and Ballylinch are improving chasers but COURT DREAMING returns from a break with a lot on his favour.

16:35 Hexham Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HOME FREE did not appear to stay when stepped up to 2m4f over timber on his handicap debut at Wincanton, but his previous 14-length success at Lingfield means that he is worthy of another chance back down in trip on his chasing bow. Five Dollar Fine was an impressive winner over C&D recently and has to be of interest, despite a 9lb rise in the ratings. Others to note are Take Centre Stage and Backbyjet.

CHASE A FORTUNE has made a pleasing start to his chasing career and tied up only late after forcing the pace in testing conditions at Carlisle last time, so is fancied to build on that promising effort to notch a second win over fences. Five Dollar Fine is respected after his recent C&D win, whilst the quirky Take Centre Stage is worth treating as if still in form and shouldn't be ruled out.

All six can be given chances. FIVE DOLLAR FINE won here with lots in hand 19 days ago and he's taken to defy the 9lb rise.

17:10 Hexham Hunter Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SPONTHUS readily accounted for Slaney Opera when winning between the flags a month ago and the nine-year-old merits plenty of respect on the back of that performance. Lucky Lucarno also was successful in a point-to-point last time and the veteran should not be discounted, while Cool Desire edges out Dressedtoimpress and Toucan Sam to be the pick of the remainder.

COOL DESIRE is a multiple point winner who arrives on the back of a solid effort in that sphere, so he's the obvious one to side without the benefit of market clues. Sponthus, successful between the flags last time, is the main threat and the veteran Lucky Lucarno can't be completely dismissed.

Preference is for COOL DESIRE who so nearly beat a very capable pointer last week at Dingley.

17:45 Hexham Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A 4lb rise for Imperial Data's latest success looks fair and he warrants respect bidding to complete the four-timer on his return, but preference is for the unexposed I AM MAX. He beat a decent field on his hurdling debut at Ayr (second and third both successful since) and could exploit an opening mark of 112, with stepping up half a mile unlikely to pose any problems. Les's Legacy and Paddy O'Mahler, who are closely matched on their Newcastle clash in March, also hold claims in a competitive event.

The unbeaten and unexposed I AM MAX should have more to offer now upped in trip for this handicap debut and he looks the way to go. Elleon has to be feared on the strength of his recent chase form and he is second choice ahead of Halpha Soleil and Paddy O'Mahler.

A good few have chances but I AM MAX (nap) is temptingly handicapped on his novice-winning form.

18:15 Hexham Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dual bumper winner GUARD THE MOON has posted three solid placed efforts since switching to hurdles and connections will be very disappointed if he doesn't land the spoils in this contest. Boomslang comes out second-best on official ratings, but he has failed to complete the last twice and jumped badly right-handed at Doncaster, which would be an obvious concern around here. Therefore, Didnt Ask, equipped with a first-time tongue-tie, could be the value bet to chase home the selection.

GUARD THE MOON comfortably brings the most appealing profile to the table and, with the step up in trip promising to suit NIgel Twiston-Davies 6-y-o, he should prove tough to beat. Boomslang, back from a break, rates the chief danger.

There's no temptation to see past GUARD THE MOON who has the best form and might well improve for this longer trip.

18:45 Hexham NH Flat Race (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Holly Bird has posted solid efforts at Carlisle and Sedgefield and will likely give another good account, while Getaway Frankie is a half-sister to bumper/hurdles winner Grove Road and must enter calculations on debut. Point-to-point scorers Squiggles and Borna Gem add further spice to the race, but EBSELYSEES shades the verdict. There was much to like about her opening fourth at Huntingdon and she could make the necessary improvement.

GETAWAY FRANKIE is related to a bumper winner and represents a stable with a good record in bumpers, so she's marginally preferred to point winner Borna Gem, who has plenty of experience. Ebselysees is the pick of those with form in this sphere.

Sandy Thomson's HOLLY BIRD had a winner this week behind her when third at Sedgefield and she appeals most in an open bumper.
