13:50 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Trainer Tim Easterby won this with a five-year-old in 2022 and will attempt to repeat the feat with recent C&D third Bay Breeze, who has won off higher marks but not since 2023. He can go well under Emily Roberts, but preference remains with INANNA, who won going away here last time out and reappears carrying a 5lb penalty. She will need a career best off this mark but she seems to be improving and there may be more to come, leaving So Grateful to follow them home.

Though below par over 5f here last week, LADY CELIA is of strong interest reunited with Amy Collier, who partnered the mare to success on their sole previous collaboration at Carlisle in May, and with the recent rain in her favour (the 7-y-o has a good record on good to soft/soft). She will face stern resistance, though, with last-time-out C&D winners Hour By Hour and Inanna both feared greatly.

The in-form INANNA (nap), who is 7lb higher than when winning here last time, is taken to win from another C&D winner Hour By Hour.

15:00 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Gainsbourg has two C&D wins to his name and he races off just 1lb higher than his last success making him one to consider here. Top-weight Contrast would have every chance with Lewis Chalkley taking 7lb off his back, but he has missed the break on a few occasions this season and that may hand this to BAY DREAM BELIEVER. Second in a class 4 seller last time out and only beaten a length, she is a consistent sort who may bowl along on the front end dropping back to this trip.

MAKALU wasn't seen to best effect at Carlisle and is better judged on previous form, not least his close call behind Likleman here before that. He gets the vote over Mount King and Tilsitt.

Tim Easterby's MOUNT KING struck twice over 1m last autumn so looks the way to go on the back of a resurgent Ayr third last time out

15:35 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having bounced back to his best when scoring over 1m2f at Ayr in late July, Chaturanga warrants consideration on his follow-up bid. However, the combination of a 4lb higher mark and drop in distance by a furlong may prove the three-year-old's undoing, with ZARABANDA edging the vote. The David O'Meara-trained mare arrives on the back of a solid fourth at Chester and she is racing off the same mark as her victory at this course in October 2023. Faylaq is also noted, despite this trip looking on the sharp side for him.

Not for the first time this season, AUSTRIAN THEORY shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when fourth at Ayr 9 days ago, running on late having not been ideally placed. Now on a career-low mark, he could be worth chancing to come out on top. Faylaq comes here in fine fettle and is feared. Beraz, on return, and another last-time-out winner, Chaturanga, complete the shortlist.

Tim Easterby's AUSTRIAN THEORY wasn't seen to best effect when fourth at Ayr last time and figures on a good mark so edges the verdict

16:10 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having undergone a wind procedure since his fifth-placed effort at Doncaster in July, the downgraded MON NA SLIEVE catches the eye. A 2lb drop in the ratings could prove lenient for Kevin Ryan's three-year-old and a second career triumph could be on the horizon. The hat-trick seeking Moonstone Boy is likely to have his supporters given last month's C&D double and he isn't taken lightly, despite a 6lb higher mark demanding more of him. Origintrail could also feature if breaking better.

Claims can be made for plenty here but MOONSTONE BOY arrives on a roll having landed back-to-back C&D handicaps last month and he's selected to complete the hat-trick. Good Earth and Ventura Express are others to consider.

Michael Herrington's Good Earth is enjoying an excellent season and taken to bag a third win, on the back of his good Doncaster fifth.

16:45 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Tim Easterby has trained two of the previous four winners of this sprint and STASH THE CASH looks to have solid claims of adding to that tally. The three-year-old relishes any give in the ground and having returned a cosy winner over course and distance a week ago, he may well defy a 6lb penalty. Majeski Man is looking to make the most of his slide down the handicap and a recent second at Redcar was a step in the right direction, while Show Me Show Me is another to consider.

STASH THE CASH has benefitted from the drop back to the minimum trip of late, impressing with how he went through the race when landing a C&D handicap 7 days ago. He looks the most solid option turned out quickly under a penalty. Majeski Man and Delagate This Lord can also feature.

As STASH THE CASH won with a bit in hand here last week he is selected to confirm the form with Wee Fat Mac on these revised terms.

17:20 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Jaminoz won last year's renewal and scored here again earlier this month with DANDY'S ANGEL back in third. The latter is taken to reverse running on today's more favourable terms, having escaped a penalty for winning an apprentices' race at Haydock just three days ago, and another bold bid is anticipated from John Wainwright's inmate. Mon Etoile finally opened her account with a victory at Newcastle and could go well again raised only 3lb.

Likeable mare DANDY'S ANGEL goes unpenalized for her victory at Haydock 3 days ago and, with her rider able to take off a valuable 7 lb here, she makes obvious appeal in her follow up bid. Fellow last-time-out winner Mon Etoile rates the chief danger ahead of Hot Team who is easing steadily in the weights.

It could be worth siding with MON ETOILE, who has improved since being stepped up in trip with a visor on.
