15:40 Hamilton Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DOLCE VITTA made no mistake on her second career start when running out a comfortable winner over 6f at Redcar last month. She gets the vote to bring up the double for a trainer and jockey combination who are operating at a 21% strike rate when teaming up on turf this year. Proud To Be Fox made a promising debut when finishing fifth in a deeper race at York last month and a bold showing from him would be no surprise. Well-bred newcomers Catalyse and Motawahij also enter calculations.

DOLCE VITTA left her debut well behind when a wide-margin winner at Redcar 2 weeks ago and looks the one to beat under a penalty. Proud To Be Fox is the only other runner with experience having caught the eye at York last month. Motawahij and Catalyse were both big money buys at the Breeze Ups so this could turn out to be a decent novice.

In terms of form, DOLCE VITTA sets the standard. Catalyse (second choice) and Motawahij are interesting newcomers.

16:10 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It is hard to look past ALIGN THE STARS, who was last seen finishing an excellent second in a warm contest at York last month and a repeat of that display would be more than enough for him to shed the maiden tag. Alacrity was the subject of significant market support when she could only manage fourth on her handicap debut at Windsor recently, but she can serve it up to the selection and prove the money wasn't totally misplaced. Victory Shout is also noteworthy for the in-form Karl Burke team.

ALIGN THE STARS was an excellent second behind a smart prospect in what is traditionally a strong 3-y-o handicap at York last month so is fancied to open his account in this lesser affair. Victory Shout was only just edged out off this mark here on Wednesday so is next best.

Topweight ALIGN THE STARS almost certainly bumped into a smart rival when a clear second in a competitive race at York last month.

16:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Fairbanks blotted his copybook on his seasonal reappearance when finishing sixth in a Thirsk handicap over 1m4f in April, but he bounced straight back to form with a comfortable victory over the same trip at Newcastle the following month. Preference, though, is for GEREMIA. Iain Jardine's gelding came from last to first to win going away over 1m4f here last month and, with the potential of more to come upped further in trip, he can defy a 4lb rise. Hope You Can Run and Too Friendly are closely matched on recent form and cannot be overlooked lightly.

FAIRBANKS showed the benefit of his reappearance run when resuming winning ways in good style at Newcastle 3 weeks ago and, with the distinct possibility of more to come from Andrew Balding's 4-y-o, he earns the vote to defy a further rise in the weights back on turf. Too Friendly likely has more to offer on the level and having not been seen to best effect last time is feared most. Charlie Johnston's pair Hope You Can Run and Capital Theory can also get involved.

Lots of these could have a say but preference is for FAIRBANKS ahead of Geremia.

17:10 Hamilton Handicap (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

DESPERATE HERO continues to improve and won a competitive sprint at Goodwood on his latest start. Jack Channon's charge looks sure to make another bold bid in this. King's Lynn was beaten only a neck by the selection at Goodwood and is preferred to Jm Jungle, who still looks a shade high in the weights. Aberama Gold is capable in this grade and drops back in trip, while Makanah is fitted with a visor after a poor effort at York. Musselburgh winner American Affair makes most appeal of Jim Goldie's three runners.

AMERICAN AFFAIR returned with an impressive display, turning a Musselburgh handicap into a rout, and a 10 lb rise probably underestimates his superiority. There is more to come from him, and he can score again up in class. Goodwood winner Desperate Hero is another going the right way, while Aberama Gold and Bergerac are a couple of the regulars in these races who must be on today's shortlist.

With further progress likely, AMERICAN AFFAIR (nap) could well defy a 10lb rise for his Musselburgh win. Bergerac is second choice.

17:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

STRONG IMPACT wasn't beaten far when fifth in a tougher handicap at Ascot last month. Aidan Keeley's 3lb allowance helps her cause on this occasion and Roger Varian's filly gets the vote. Warda Jamila won over 1m2f at the same Ascot meeting as the selection but has an 8lb hike to contend with, while both Dora Milaje and Cloudy Skye ran well on their respective handicap debuts. Star Jasmine landed a maiden race at Bath in April and is another with scope for improvement now handicapping.

WARDA JAMILA arrives with a progressive profile and was well on top at the line when scoring at Ascot three weeks ago, so she's worth chancing to go in again at the likely expense of Star Jasmine, who is also going the right way. Strong Impact also makes some appeal for all that she lacks the potential of the aforementioned pair.

With further improvement on the cards, WARDA JAMILA is taken to defy an 8lb rise. Strong Impact is second choice.

18:10 Hamilton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MR IRRELEVANT failed to see out the 7f trip at York last week having landed a double over today's distance before that. Grant Tuer's charge gets another chance with the ground also in his favour. Cargin Bhui had a difficult task drawn wide at Chester and better is expected from him, while Ziggy's Queen and Pals Battalion have both won over the minimum trip but have something to prove over this extra furlong.

The return to sprinting will suit MR IRRELEVANT and he can record his third success this year. Cargin Bhui and Pals Battalion may provide the chief threat.

Based on last-time-out bare figures, PALS BATTALION has the best chance at the weights. Ziggy's Queen is second choice.

18:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

My Little Queens is now 7lb higher than when beating Bulldog Spirit and JAMINOZ over track and trip early last month. The latter has subsequently ran well again back at this venue and may prove the one to side with in open affair. Tafsir scored over a longer trip at Ayr on her latest start and can figure again, while Detective showed signs of a return to form when runner-up over a mile at Carlisle and could go well.

Plenty are in with a shout. Harriet Bethell's BEARWITH didn't enjoy the rub of the green when fourth at Ripon last time and can gain compensation off just a 1 lb higher mark. In-form Real Terms also figures on a handy-looking mark and rates the main danger, although a solid case can also be made for Letsbefrank, Bulldog Spirit, Detective and My Little Queens in a very open contest.

Solid contender LUDO'S LANDING gets the verdict returned to turf. My Little Queens is second choice.
