LTO Selection:

13:50 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LOCHNAVER returned to form when collared late on in second here last Wednesday and Jim Goldie's mare, who is a dual course winner at this venue, looks the one to beat off 1lb lower. Buford ran one of his better races with a second-placed finish over C&D earlier in the month and rates as the chief threat off the same mark. Persuer may have been freshened up by a change of scenery and is another to note now trained by Keith Dalgleish.

Amie Waugh gave LOCHNAVER an excellent ride when runner-up here a week ago and, if she gets another easy lead, she should be hard to pass. Buford is in good order, so he's considered despite his quirks and Yakhabar is of interest in first-time blinkers.

Lochnaver is an obvious candidate, but a chance is taken on the interesting and lowly rated stable debutante PERSUER.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Hamilton Stakes (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SANKARI has posted two creditable efforts in defeat since gaining a breakthrough success at Thirsk in May and the introduction of Brandon Wilkie's 7lb claim could see a return to winning ways for John Quinn's colt. Alfa Moonstone didn't appear to be up to class 2 level at Beverley recently but better is expected in these calmer waters. She could emerge as the main danger, ahead of fellow fillies Dear Mary and Lady Showcasing.

Those with experience don't set the bar very high, so it might be worth taking a chance on INDICATION SPIRIT to make a successful start given that she represents shrewd connections. I'm Spartacus is another notable newcomer and Sankari is likely to be involved.

Tim Easterby's Cable Bay filly DEAR MARY took a big step forward when fourth at Carlisle and can improve again to open her account here

LTO Selection:

14:55 Hamilton Maiden (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ALGHALIB offered something to work with when finishing fourth on his debut over 5f at Ripon earlier in the month and the son of No Nay Never could gain a breakthrough success now faced with a sterner stamina test. Sayidh Kingman shaped better than the beaten distance in a deeper event at York last month and enters calculations on this drop into a class 4 contest, while That's For Sure makes most appeal of the newcomers.

CERULEAN BAY is related to a plethora of winners and should have plenty of speed, so he gets the vote to make a successful debut. That's For Sure is another notable newcomer and Alghalib should improve from his debut, so he's also worthy of consideration.

Having run creditably on his Ripon debut, ALGHALIB is preferred to Karl Burke's newcomer That's For Sure.

LTO Selection:

15:30 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DERWENT BOY ran with credit to finish fourth on his handicap debut at Newcastle when returning from a break in May and the son of Harry Angel is entitled to step forward from that display. Iris Dancer (second) finished ahead of Elladora (fourth) when the pair met here last Wednesday and the former is expected to uphold that form, especially being 1lb better off with that rival on this occasion.

CAPTAIN VALLO is just 2 lb above his last winning mark and arrives on the back of an encouraging return at Thirsk earlier this month. He makes plenty of appeal. Iris Dancer and Derwent Boy rate the principal dangers.

There was plenty to like about the reappearance Thirsk third of CAPTAIN VALLO (nap) so this C&D scorer looks the way to go.

OBAMA ARMY has been a model of consistency over the past couple of months and the drop back in trip following his recent second at Lingfield could help to make the difference. Mickey Mongoose turns out under a 6lb penalty after winning at Brighton last Tuesday and he is likely to enter calculations along with Hale End, who sports cheekpieces for the first time.

Preference is for HALE END, who is best judged on his yard debut third at Beverley in April. Obama Army and Mickey Mongoose can also make their presence felt.

Michael Dods' HALE END shaped well on his yard debut before failing to build on it in the mud at Thirsk and can bounce back in style now

LTO Selection:

16:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GONE scooted clear of her rivals when making all at Bath four days ago and Charlie Johnston's progressive three-year-old, who arrives in search of a four-timer, is hard to oppose under a 6lb penalty provided this doesn't come soon enough. Cosa Sara landed this race 12 months ago from a 4lb lower mark and she merits respect, while Ribchester filly Powdering warrants a market check ahead of this return to action.

GONE arrives at the top of her game and a 6 lb penalty may not be enough to prevent her extending her winning run. Cosa Sara may provide the chief threat.

Charlie Johnston's GONE has gone from strength to strength this term and can complete a four-timer under a 6lb penalty for her Bath win

17:15 Hamilton Stakes (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having struck over an extended mile here on his penultimate outing, OUR DICKIE's stamina appeared to be stretched over 1m2f at Redcar 23 days ago. Down in both trip and class today, he's favoured by the weights and might find further improvement for the addition of first-time blinkers. Royal Countess can have a say, while recent Ayr scorer Retirement Beckons should not be underestimated either.

OUR DICKIE disappointed at Redcar last time but he's the one to beat if able reproduce the form of his win at this track the time before. Retirement Beckons is a multiple winner here over the years and arrives on the back of victory at Ayr last week, so is the obvious threat. Royal Countess is best of the others.

The suggestion is MAC AILEY, who usually goes well here. Retirement Beckons and Our Dickie are also shortlisted.
