125/1(-89%) | (6) The Expert 125/1, Twice-raced gelding. Last of 8 in maiden at Dundalk (6f, 125/1) 11 days ago. Major improvement is required on the evidence of two Dundalk runs over 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (100/1 +0%) Crest Of The Moon |
100/1(+0%) | (2) Crest Of The Moon 100/1, Thrice-raced gelding. Eighth of 11 in maiden (250/1) at Leopardstown (8f, heavy) 17 days ago. Three maiden runs imply he will struggle, behind Butter Fingers on both starts this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (125/1 -150%) Veil Dance |
125/1(-150%) | (10) Veil Dance 125/1, Once-raced filly. Tenth of 12 in claimer at Dundalk (7f, 14/1) on debut. Off 145 days. First run for yard after leaving Mrs J. Harrington. Made little impression in a claimer on her only start for Jessica Harrington, no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

17/2(+29%) | (4) Robbies Rock 17/2, 11,500 gns yearling, Masar gelding. Dam, ran once, closely related to useful 6f winner True Verdict out of unraced half-sister to dam of St Leger winner Rule of Law. Dam is closely related to sprint maiden winners True Verdict and Foolish Ambition. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (16/1 -33%) Kool One |
16/1(-33%) | (3) Kool One 16/1, Once-raced gelding. 40/1, fourth of 6 in maiden at Leopardstown (8f, heavy) on debut 14 days ago, not knocked about. Ran green when fourth in a six-runner contest at Leopardstown, unlikely to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (33/1 +50%) Butter Fingers |
33/1(+50%) | (1) Butter Fingers 33/1, Twice-raced gelding. Seventh of 11 in maiden at Leopardstown (8f, heavy, 80/1) 17 days ago. Curragh run over this trip was better than a subsequent 1m Leopardstown effort. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SEA THE POLARIS has handled varying ground conditions and notably showed plenty of promise on debut over this trip in testing conditions at the Galway Festival last summer. Not a lot went right for the son of Sea The Stars as he was slowly away and also met trouble in running before finishing well when runner-up to Mythology. The selection should have benefitted from a recent outing when third at Dundalk. Thor's Hammer is the obvious threat having filled the runner-up spot twice in maidens with cut in the ground last year and was also far from disgraced in the Goffs Million at the Curragh. Any support for newcomer Robbies Rock would be interesting.
Provided he copes with this drop back in trip, SEA THE POLARIS could be the answer. Thor's Hammer is clear second choice, while newcomer Robbies Rock is most interesting of the remainder.
RPR figures give a slight edge to the more experienced THOR'S HAMMER over Sea The Polaris in what looks like a match.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
There is little to choose between Victor's Choice and DOLCE FAR NIENTE on running over this trip on heavy ground at Galway last autumn. The pair were separated by a neck when placed behind I've Been Dreaming and Joe Murphy's charge, who was previously placed over this C&D, may just have the more scope for improvement. Special Agent has yet to race outside of Dundalk but gives Adrian Murray another strong contender, while others to consider include Harry The Rogue and Madame Plaintiff. The latter had Limoncello Lady and Tiffany Mae behind when third to Photosynthesis at Navan and now makes her handicap debut.
It could be worth siding with DOLCE FAR NIENTE, who improved when third in 7f nurseries on her final two starts of last season. The fact that she is proven on deep ground helps tilt the scales in her favour, with main dangers Harry The Rogue and Special Angel yet to encounter such conditions. Victor's Choice was second on heavy at Galway during the autumn and will be a threat if fully tuned-up following a break.
No previous winners here but DOLCE FAR NIENTE will not need to improve much from her two nursery runs to open her account

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (12/1 -9%) Adhuil |
12/1(-9%) | (9) Adhuil 12/1, 8/1, creditable fourth of 18 in handicap at Galway (11.8f, heavy). Off 177 days. Significantly back down in trip. Longstanding maiden went close on heavy here in Oct; could need this but hard to dismiss. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (14/1 +30%) Deuteronomy |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (17) (17/2 +47%) Ferrari Desert |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MASTER GARVEY was placed on a number of occasions last year including over C&D and has returned in fine form this season backing up a highly creditable third at the Curragh by opening his account over this trip at Naas. The selection was well clear inside the final furlong before just holding on from Spring Collection with a five-length gap back to the third and he's taken to defy a 9lb rise in the ratings. Manhattan Dandy was sixth in that Naas handicap and gave the form a boost when subsequently prominent throughout to land a 16-runner event at Leopardstown. Adhuil went close here last autumn and is a nice first ride for Rebecca Parsons, while Summer Snow and Barnhill Rose are others to note.
MANHATTAN DANDY justified support when beating 15 rivals in good style at Leopardstown 2 weeks ago so remains of interest. Master Garvey and Knockmore Prince head the dangers.
A chance is taken on SUMMER SNOW after changing yards. She's well handicapped and Keane is booked.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (7/2 -115%) Gypsy Woman |
7/2(-115%) | (2) Gypsy Woman 7/2, Two wins from 5 runs last year. Career best when winning 10-runner handicap (11/4) at Cork (7f, good to soft), having run of race. Off 7 months. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 -79%) Lady Arwen |
25/1(-79%) | (4) Lady Arwen 25/1, C&D winner. 16/1, below form twelfth of 19 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, soft). Off 6 months. Others make more appeal. Three-time winner but lacks a run and ideally wants quicker ground than this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (11/4 +50%) All Lies Ahead |
11/4(+50%) | (3) All Lies Ahead 11/4, Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 22/1, bit below form 5¼ lengths fifth of 9 to Easy in listed race at Cork (6f, heavy) 25 days ago, missing break. Not one to write off. After starting slowly she ran surprisingly well in a 6f Listed last time; better at 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (9/1 -80%) Everylittlestep |
9/1(-80%) | (7) Everylittlestep 9/1, Course winner. Three wins from 8 runs last year. 4/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at Punchestown (9f, good to soft). Off 7 months. Down in trip. Could get back on the up. Hat-trick last summer; perhaps ready for a break when below par the final time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
EXPRESSOVA showed a liking for these ground conditions last year when winning at Cork for Sheila Lavery and wound up the season with a creditable fourth to Zephron in a 22-runner Curragh handicap over this trip. She was sold for 135,000gns last December to join Joseph O'Brien. All Lies Ahead gained her second career win when successful over this trip on heavy ground at Leopardstown 12 months ago. She went close to adding to that tally a couple of times last autumn and was slowly away when reappearing in a Listed race at the Cork Easter meeting. Lady Arwen has won twice at this venue including over a mile last September, while Gypsy Woman has shown her best form on good ground.
GYPSY WOMAN upped her game to make all at Cork on her final 3-y-o outing and, 7 months on, she could pull off similar tactics at another track that's favourable to prominent racers. Expressova is an obvious player on debut for Joseph O'Brien and Everylittlestep could get back on track on return.
Some interesting runners but ALL LIES AHEAD (nap) has the benefit of a run and it was a highly encouraging one at Cork.

4/5(+51%) | (3) Dollerina 4/5, Fairly useful filly who was pretty highly tried as a juvenile. Beaten at odds-on on the AW recently; sets the standard on last year's Group form. |

11th (11) (150/1 -127%) Rodeeve |
150/1(-127%) | (11) Rodeeve 150/1, Once-raced filly. 50/1, twelfth of 13 in maiden at Dundalk (8f) on debut 12 days ago, missing break and off the bridle long way out. This should reveal more. Beat just one home at Dundalk 12 days ago when behind Dollerina; instantly opposable. |

12th (13) (200/1 -100%) Trusty And True |
200/1(-100%) | (13) Trusty And True 200/1, €17,000 yearling, Holy Roman Emperor filly. Eleventh of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (8f, 66/1) on debut 61 days ago. Another likely type for later on. 66-1 and never remotely threatened to take a hand in the finish at Dundalk (1m). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DOLLERINA looked a certain future winner after beating all bar Ylang Ylang on debut at the Curragh with Nativity Square in rear. The Joseph O'Brien-trained filly has since performed with credit in Group 3 company but is still a maiden after five starts including when odds-on for her reappearance at Dundalk earlier this month. She's given another chance against Step It Out and Whisperinthewind who have both been placed twice on the polytrack. Fleur De Chine, Glen Princess and Ameilya are others to consider.
DOLLERINA was below her best on the back of 6 months off at Dundalk 12 days ago yet her form as a juvenile gives her excellent claims and she could be worth siding with to get back on track returned to turf. Fleur de Chine, Nativity Square and Glen Princess head up the dangers, with Whispersinthewind also in the mix.
The dilemma is whether to forgive DOLLERINA her disappointing return at Dundalk as she's a standout on her smart form of last season.

22/1(-10%) | (5) Action Plan 22/1, Creditable second of 5 in minor event at Cork (7f, heavy, 12/1) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Not one to rule out. Hard to know what he achieved last time but his British form last season earns respect. |

2nd (1) (4/1 +11%) Cardinal Zin |
4/1(+11%) | (1) Cardinal Zin 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Good second of 10 in maiden (7/4) at Listowel (8f, soft), clear of rest. Off 7 months. Makes handicap debut. Worth considering. Useful form in defeat as a juvenile; this mark looks no gift but he has been gelded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (17/2 -13%) Puturhandstogether |
17/2(-13%) | (4) Puturhandstogether 17/2, Thrice-raced maiden. 25/1, seventh of 10 in minor event at Dundalk (6f), slowly away. Off 99 days. Trainer going well. Hood on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Likely improver. Interesting handicap debutant having hinted at improvement on the AW last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (12/1 -33%) Martinelli |
12/1(-33%) | (10) Martinelli 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Very good fourth of 14 in handicap (7/1) at Dundalk (6f) 19 days ago, slowly away. Significantly up in trip. Could improve further. So not one to dismiss. Signs of progess last time but having first run beyond 6f and conditions will be testing. |

5th (2) (3/1 +0%) Emerald Eclipse |
3/1(+0%) | (2) Emerald Eclipse 3/1, Twice-raced maiden. 4/5, third of 8 in minor event at Dundalk (7f) 75 days ago. Pedigree points to better and his opening mark looks fair. Strict interpretation of his latest effort on the AW suggests he's well handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (5/1 -25%) Blue Soul |
5/1(-25%) | (8) Blue Soul 5/1, Good second of 11 in handicap (12/1) at Dundalk (8f) 33 days ago. Stable having good spell. Should continue to give a good account. Eight-race maiden placed three times on the AW, latterly over this distance of 1m. |

7th (7) (14/1 +13%) Edvard Grieg |
14/1(+13%) | (7) Edvard Grieg 14/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 5 in minor event (33/1) at Cork (7f, heavy) 25 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has got closer in each of his runs and goes handicapping relatively unexposed. |

8th (3) (6/1 +14%) Basilah Bear |
6/1(+14%) | (3) Basilah Bear 6/1, Creditable second of 5 in nursery (5/2) at Leopardstown (7.1f, heavy), unsuited by drop in trip. Off 6 months. Vulnerable to race-fit rivals. Consistent filly last season; won a 1m nursery at Naas; has form on heavy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (9/1 +36%) Arizona Desert |
9/1(+36%) | (9) Arizona Desert 9/1, Winner at Leicester in October. 11/2, first run since leaving Dominic Ffrench Davis when creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at Naas (7f, heavy) 31 days ago. Respected. British nursery winner; not overly appealing on the strength of her latest Naas effort. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
CARDINAL ZIN filled the runner-up spot twice on testing ground last season including behind the impressive Look At The Stars at Listowel. The Willie McCreery-trained gelding now makes his handicap debut and gets the vote over Emerald Eclipse who was well-backed when placed on both starts at Dundalk earlier this year. Basilah Bear won a nursery at Naas over this trip and also performed with credit on heavy ground. Blue Soul has been mainly campaigned at Dundalk and comes here off a decent second to Galician Girl last month.
PUTURHANDSTOGETHER has seemingly been brought along with handicaps in mind and, with the scope for better, he's worth taking a chance from an opening mark of 74. His stablemate Emerald Eclipse is a danger on the back of two solid showings and Ringside Timing is worthy of interest back up to a trip that suits.
Joseph O'Brien could have aimed EMERALD ECLIPSE at another maiden but instead goes handicapping on just his third run.

7/1(-56%) | (9) Walnut Beach 7/1, 20/1, ninth of 12 in handicap chase at Naas (16f, good to soft) 103 days ago. Off 103 days. Fair on the Flat, respectable effort on last Flat run. One to take seriously. This dual-purpose performer is often thereabouts and trip/ground is fine. |

9/1(+10%) | (11) Charlie Darling 9/1, Bit below form seventh of 12 in handicap at Bellewstown (12.1f, heavy, 11/1). Off 6 months. Not kicked on from his breakthrough win and today's ground could be an issue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (18/1 +45%) Mayo For Sam |
18/1(+45%) | (13) Mayo For Sam 18/1, Cheekpieces on for first time, first run since leaving Denis Hogan when tenth of 12 in handicap (66/1) at Tramore (12f, good). Moved yards again. Friendless in the market when beaten 15l on handicap debut at Tramore (1m4f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (28/1 -133%) Nannie Dee |
28/1(-133%) | (5) Nannie Dee 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. First run since leaving Simon & Ed Crisford when twelfth of 14 in juvenile hurdle (25/1) at Cork (16f, heavy) on NH debut 24 days ago. Tailed off on stable/hurdle debut last month; interesting on his British Flat form. |

13th (8) (8/1 +43%) Tasayad |
8/1(+43%) | (8) Tasayad 8/1, Tenth of 14 in handicap at the Curragh (10f, soft, 18/1). Off 6 months. Significantly up in trip. No threat in four handicaps; mark has dropped but perhaps not enough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (1) (14/1 -40%) Game Nation |
14/1(-40%) | (1) Game Nation 14/1, Twelfth of 16 in novice hurdle (200/1) at Punchestown (16.7f, heavy) 63 days ago, not knocked about. Fair on the Flat, career best when winning on last Flat run and he may well resume his progress. Won his last Flat race, a 1m4f Galway handicap on heavy ground in October; 10lb higher. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
JUNOT hasn't been seen on the Flat for 12 months but has built up a consistent series of placed efforts in handicap hurdles including when just denied over 2m4f at Fairyhouse. He now reverts to the level for a first Flat handicap off a basement mark. Game Nation recorded a 50/1 shock win on his last Flat start over 1m4f at Galway last October but hasn't made much impact since over hurdles. Nannie Dee was placed on soft ground for the Crisfords last year and Colin Keane is an eye-catching booking, while Chopsticks appreciated the addition of cheekpieces when runner-up to the well supported Alphonse Le Grande at Dundalk last month.
This is trappy with lots of these returning from an absence. CHOPSTICKS is fit form the AW though, producing a career best when second a month ago. This trip should suit so he gets the vote in favour of Walnut Beach and Game Nation.
An open finale. RUMI earns the tentative vote in the hope that he'll handle the ground. Game Nation and Junot are considered.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
