12th (4) ![]() Galaxy Wonder |
100/1(-203%) | (4) Galaxy Wonder 100/1, Beaten 8 1/2l in a maiden at Dundalk on debut where never threatened; hard to recommend switched to turf Low-key debut when 7th at Dundalk in Feb'; needs a good chunk of improvement to figure. |
Dermot Weld saddled a double at Leopardstown on Sunday and could have the answer here with WILD SAPPHIRE. The son of No Nay Never kept good company on both outings in 7f maidens last autumn and finished strongly when a close third to Expanded at the Curragh. Broadstone showed promise on his only start in a Curragh maiden that has worked out quite well, while Gran Habano has plenty of experience and was placed a couple of times at Dundalk over the winter. Any market moves for newcomers Standard Deviation (by Invincible Spirit) or The Liffey Swim, who cost 110,000 pounds at a Breeze Up sale last spring, would be significant.
Well bred WILD SAPPHIRE ran a big race on debut in what looked an above average maiden and soft ground may have been against him since

85/40(+39%) | (1) Royal Pippen 85/40, Ran to form beaten 6l in a handicap over 7f at Galway last time; usually consistent; step back up in trip a plus; could snap long losing run Losing run goes back to 2021; hinting at a revival at end of last term; may want it softer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Higher Kingdom |
10/1(-82%) | (5) Higher Kingdom 10/1, Slowly away down the field in a handicap at Dundalk most recent; usually consistent; has won off much higher marks; every chance All 6 wins on AW and 0-22 on turf; only beat one home on yard debut; wide draw. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ![]() Naisiun |
15/2(-50%) | (3) Naisiun 15/2, Well beaten in a handicap here latest; placed off 2lb lower prior; inconsistent; in the mix if bringing best Sole win came at 7f on heavy; stays further; sole win on last year's return; unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) ![]() Love Mocha |
33/1(+0%) | (12) Love Mocha 33/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 10f at Navan most recent; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; usually held up; bit to find Minor promise for former yard but shown nothing for new connections; off 298 days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) ![]() Pub Talk |
17/2(+29%) | (2) Pub Talk 17/2, Probably needed race beaten 4l off 57 over 6f at Dundalk last time; better form on AW; up in trip; all wins over shorter; opposed Lost his way in last 2 years but return wasn't devoid of promise; mixed record at 1m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) ![]() Royal Tribute |
18/1(-64%) | (13) Royal Tribute 18/1, Raced freely beaten 10l in a handicap at Dundalk last time; generally out of form; usually held up; readily opposed Went close on AW in December but seems to have lost his way at Dundalk of late. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) ![]() Hope And Innocence |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) ![]() Nibras Rainbow |
9/2(-13%) | (4) Nibras Rainbow 9/2, Below par down the field in a handicap over 7f at Curragh most recent; in good form prior; top course jockey; up in trip; acts with cut; every chance Ended losing run over 1m last August; hit and miss since; probably best watched fresh. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) ![]() Serengeti Sunrise |
25/1(+24%) | (6) Serengeti Sunrise 25/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap at Dundalk most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; looks regressive Ran okay on sole turf start but hasn't shown enough in five AW runs for his new yard. |
NIBRAS RAINBOW won over a mile at Killarney last summer for Paul Flynn and has shaped well on a number of occasions since, including when placed in a 25-runner Curragh handicap. Colin Keane is a significant booking. Naisiun won on her reappearance over 7f at Naas last season and while far from consistent since, could go close off a similar rating, while Royal Pippen has dropped to what appears a competitive mark and is another to consider. Higher Kingdom won four times at Dundalk for John McConnell and it's probably best to put a line through his latest run after getting upset in the stalls.
This doesn't have much depth and NAISIUN could be the one having won on last season's return and she's less exposed than most

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) ![]() Win Me Over |
8/11(-9%) | (7) Win Me Over 8/11, 6l fourth in a maiden over 7f at Curragh first-time out; sister to to miler Palace Pier should relish this step up in trip; the one to beat Fourth of 20 on debut at the Curragh, should be a lot better for that experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Bonnie Moon |
11/1(-22%) | (1) Bonnie Moon 11/1, Le Havre filly; half-sister to Alex The Great, fair at 16f; dam high-class at 14f winning All-Weather Marathon and at Listed level; worth a market check Half-sister to 1m6f/2m winner Alex The Great, dam by Dalakhani a Listed winner over 1m6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) ![]() Nuit |
7/2(+42%) | (6) Nuit 7/2, Ran to form 4l third in a maiden over 8f at Dundalk most recent run; returning from a break; step up in trip should suit; should be thereabouts once more Third in maidens at Naas and Dundalk, some positives but rated 7lb inferior to Deressa. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) ![]() Can I Kiss You |
80/1(-60%) | (2) Can I Kiss You 80/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 11f at Dundalk latest; down in trip; hard to recommend and needs this for a mark Two runs at Dundalk, first attempt over 1m better than subsequent run over extended 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) ![]() Now U Have It |
50/1(-25%) | (5) Now U Have It 50/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 7 1/4l in a maiden over 8f at Dundalk last time; returning from a break; up in trip; plenty more needed Not a bad run in mid-field over C&D on debut though held by Deressa on that evidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) ![]() Lisnadill |
33/1(-32%) | (4) Lisnadill 33/1, Beaten 6 1/2l in a 2yo race over 8f at Dundalk last time; returning from a break; up in trip; hard to recommend and looks one for handicaps after this Considerable improvement needed from two Dundalk run, safely held by Nuit.. |
WIN ME OVER was prominent throughout on debut at the Curragh on the opening day of the turf season when taking fourth spot behind Bint Queen Kindly in a 20-runner 7f maiden. The sister to top-class miler Palace Pier should progress from that run and appreciate both the longer trip and sounder surface. Nuit was placed on both starts last autumn including behind Galveston at Naas, while Deressa showed her best form on testing ground over C&D last October when a creditable fourth to Pretty Lavish. Bonnie Moon is bred to stay further.
With improvement on the cards from last month's introduction at the Curragh WIN ME OVER is tipped to open her account.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) ![]() Methgal |
20/1(-186%) | (9) Methgal 20/1, Ran to form 6 1/2l third in a novice over 8f at Ayr most recent run; highly tried in UK; up in trip; bit more needed on stable debut Three runs in Britain at two, placed over 1m, probably needs to improve to feature here. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) ![]() Littlesumpinsumpin |
100/1(-150%) | (8) Littlesumpinsumpin 100/1, Maxios gelding; dam very useful from 11f to 12f; yard in good form but better known for jumps exploits; may find this on the sharp side Dam a four-time winner for Jim Bolger, from a predominantly jumps stable. |
EASTWATCH shaped well on debut over a similar trip at Tipperary last autumn and may have found a good opportunity to open his account. The Andy Slattery-trained gelding was third to Emit and the runner-up, Serious Contender, has boosted the form scoring on both outings since, including a Leopardstown handicap off a mark of 85 last weekend. Crooked Path was far from disgraced on debut behind Dupont Law on the opening day of the season at the Curragh and should appreciate this longer distance, while others to consider include newcomer Paul Henry (by Camelot) and Methgal.
Newcomer Paul Henry may not cope with EASTWATCH (nap), whose debut third at Tipperary has been shown in a good light by the 2nd

125/1(-213%) | (8) Ardlena 125/1, 1,200 euros Invincible Army filly; tongue-tie first time; first foal of unraced dam; stable better known for jumps exploits; market should reveal more Invincible Army filly; dam sister to 2 winners; tongue-tie for debut; likely to need this. |
SPRING DANCE cost 350,000 euro at Arqana in December and while it's concerning that she only makes her debut at four, the Dubawi filly makes plenty of appeal on pedigree being out of a Listed winning daughter of Shamardal and from a very smart Australian family. It will be interesting to see how strong she is in the market. Royal Hollow and Extrapolation are both decent sorts over jumps, while Victoria Kesia was placed a number of times last year but seems well suited by soft ground. Fianna indicated ability in two starts last year, although it may be significant that Billy Lee elects to ride Moss Tucker's half-brother Diesel Deans.
The tentative vote goes to VICTORIA KESIA who finished 2nd in 3 of her last 4 starts last term and sets a solid standard

THATWILLDOSO had three starts in maidens early last season and ran a cracker on the latest of two handicap outings in the autumn, when beating all bar Nans View in a 20-runner 1m2f Curragh event. The winner is now rated considerably higher having followed up at Galway and Jack Kearney claims a valuable 5lb. Magic Charm has won twice over a mile and showed promise on a number of occasions last season, including over 1m1f at Tipperary, while Dazzling Spirit has dropped to a lowly mark and has now joined Cian Collins. The lightly-raced Venting and Tatum are others to consider.
This could be a good opportunity for THATWILLDOSO who was coming to the boil at the end of last term and his latest 2nd is working out

5/2(+29%) | (7) Salt Bay 5/2, Below par well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Navan latest; placed at Group level last spring in UK: down in trip; off a short-break; the one to beat Uneven form for Ralph Beckett last season but holds a leading chance on his best form. |

8th (1) ![]() Persian Bliss |
14/1(-17%) | (1) Persian Bliss 14/1, Ran to form second beaten 1 1/2l in the Conditions Race over 11f at Dundalk latest; steadily progressive; step up in trip could suit; needs to improve back on turf Consistent form at Dundalk; has race fitness on his side and could make his presence felt. |
A hot conditions race with all bar one of the nine runners holding a rating of 95 or higher. ROMZINA has a bit to find on figures but should have scope for further improvement having won a Cork maiden on debut and been placed on both subsequent starts at Listed level. She could be suited by this trip having kept on well into third behind Caught U Looking over 1m4f at Naas. Salt Bay has struggled to justify his rating since being narrowly denied over this trip at York last June, while War Rooms, third in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York last year, is a nice addition to Gerry Keane's yard. Persian Bliss has progressed well and won three times over the winter at Dundalk.
Dermot Weld had a fine double at Leopardstown on Sunday and can keep up the good work with lightly raced filly ROMZINA
Ths is the racecard key.

Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
