12:30 Galway Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BINT MAJESTIC ROI wasn't disgraced on debut at Leopardstown and was absent for nearly three months until fourth behind Wemightakedlongway over a mile at Cork. The form of that race has worked out well since and the daughter of Ghaiyyath has scope for further improvement. Happiest had Annie's Angel and Permission Tospeak both behind when fourth to better fancied stablemate Mint Candy at Thurles and may prove the chief threat. Riding arrangements suggest Thilos is preferred of Joseph O'Brien's four runners, while Spicy Margarita cost 150,000gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to six winners.

Tricky stuff with BINT MAJESTIC ROI, who boasts some strong form, taken to open her account. The superbly-bred Happiest probably has a race in her for Coolmore, while Spicy Margarita is an appealing sort on paper. The betting could help sort out Joseph O'Brien's quartet, which includes 3 newcomers.

Thurles fourth HAPPIEST could now be ready to strike

13:00 Galway Handicap 8f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SPECKLED MEADOW ticks plenty of boxes being a course winner, handles soft ground well and comes here in good form. The selection has been placed on her latest four starts including over C&D at the Festival meeting in July and should be suited by this step back up in trip after finishing well over 7f at Leopardstown. Dragon Of Malta has a similar profile having won twice at this venue including on soft ground and was runner-up at the Listowel Festival last month. Pandion Power is on a hat-trick after racing prominently to win at Roscommon and Gowran, while Thrifty Of Digby also successfully forced the pace on the same Gowran card last Monday.

PANDION POWER is thriving under the promising Rory Mulligan and can get the hat-trick up. Come on The Lads is respected back in this sphere, while Sylkie can bounce back returned to Galway. Market support for Sweet Sundowner starting out for a new yard would be interesting.

Just denied at Bellewstown last time, VASSULA RYDEN could get off the mark for the season off 1lb higher on ground that suits.

13:30 Galway Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LOCAL LAD has shown promise on all three outings and didn't enjoy a clear passage at a vital stage before finishing well to beat all bar Galveston over a mile at Naas earlier this month. Mississippi River has been placed on both outings behind lesser-fancied stablemates including when runner-up to the impressive Twain at Leopardstown recently. Tribal Nation is another to consider having also shown plenty of ability on both starts, while stablemate Omni Man cost 110,000 euro at a French breeze-up sale and is a half-brother to four winners.

LOCAL LAD has achieved enough to think he can win a race like this and is narrowly preferred to Tribal Nation and Mississippi River, who have the potential for better again on the back of runner-up efforts.

Arguably unlucky not to beat a Ballydoyle colt at Naas last time, LOCAL LAD can make amends today.

14:00 Galway Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOW was fitted with blinkers for the first time and had a number of these rivals behind when runner-up to Baltray Lady at Bellewstown earlier this month and hopefully the half-sister to Rip Van Winkle can cope with the likely testing conditions. Your Call was among those behind the selection at Bellewstown but has shown better form when ridden up with the pace including when second to Chica Guerrera at Gowran last Monday with Kilgharrahs Love less than a length behind in third. Danny Murphy sent out a double at Dundalk on Friday evening and has a chance here with Unique Journey, who was denied a clear run before finishing strongly at Navan earlier this month.

UNIQUE JOURNEY produced his best effort to date and left the distinct impression he can do better again when third on nursery debut at Navan (5.8f) 3 weeks ago, running on encouragingly when finally in the clear. He gets the nod to confirm the promise of that effort upped in trip, with Now and Your Call rating next best. Source Code is a handicap debutant to note with blinkers reached for.

A running on second over just short of a mile at Bellewstown last time, NOW should be suited by this stiff 7f and can get off the mark.

14:35 Galway Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DOLLERINA was campaigned at a high level last year including when third in a Group 3 at Deauville last October and was far from disgraced on both maiden starts this spring. It's obviously a concern that the Territories filly has been absent for six months, but this looks a good opportunity to open her account. Ina Mina has a number of placed efforts to her name in maidens but was no match for the impressive Iseult Of Ireland at Gowran last week, while Camachero and Modern Talking are others to consider. The latter is by Lope De Vega out of a German Listed winner and the booking of Shane Foley catches the eye.

DOLLERINA failed to land the odds both starts in the spring but she's in excellent hands and is fancied to finally get it right on return to action. Ina Mina is the obvious danger, with Storm Averted a player if casting aside a lesser effort.

Though DOLLERINA(nap) didn't repeat the form of her Group race 2yo exploits in two starts this term, she can take this after time off.

15:10 Galway Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RACING ROYALTY won twice over this trip on soft ground last autumn and after dropping down in the ratings this year, indicated another win could be imminent when shaping well in two recent outings at the Curragh including when third to Genuine Jim (third reserve here) in a 24-runner event with Royal Pippen and Mogwli both behind. There isn't much to choose between Goldrush Kid and Madame Plaintiff on their running behind Thrifty Of Digby at Gowran last Monday, while Charlie Brow'n showed promise at Listowel last month and the booking of Colin Keane looks significant. Lady Arwen, Little Keilee and Pimstrel are others for the shortlist.

Any number to consider, but KINDA TINY won this race a year ago and while she's a lot higher in the weights this time, she may well be up to the task. Racing Royalty, Pimstrel and Goldrush Kid all demand respect.

Preference is for LITTLE KEILEE who finished fourth behind Kinda Tiny in this in 2023 and is much better off at the weights now.

15:45 Galway Handicap 12f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ALFALFA won over this trip at Thurles last autumn but missed most of this season before again showing promise recently on soft ground. The selection was beaten less than a length behind Bear Profit at Naas and will appreciate this step up in trip after again finishing well over 1m2f at the Curragh last week. Jabbar is an obvious threat having added to two Flat wins this year by taking a maiden hurdle at this venue before a highly creditable third to Comfort Zone in a valuable Flat handicap at Naas last time. Clear Quartz recorded a third course win last month but is unproven at this trip, while Soul Of Spain and recent Gowran winner Fairy Wings are others to note.

JABBAR is in the form of his life at present, recording an excellent placed effort in a high-level handicap at Naas a fortnight ago. He can continue the good work and regain the winning thread, with Dutch Gold and Fairy Wings feared most.

It might be worth chancing NARLITA. She was runner-up in this race last year off this mark and she handles heavy ground.

16:20 Galway Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CAFE CON LECHE has gained all four previous wins over hurdles and with plenty of cut in the ground but may finally open his account on the Flat. The eight-year-old has dropped down to a competitive mark and was only headed close home by Kool One over 1m6f at Navan last Wednesday. Colin Keane now takes over in the saddle and gets the vote over the in-form Gotta Catch'em All who beat all bar the odds-on Prairie Angel at Bellewstown and was just touched off at the Curragh last time. Nans View won a 20-runner 1m2f handicap at the Curragh last Tuesday and looks sure to go close if staying this longer trip, while King Of The Bronx and Ifitwasme appear best of the remainder.

The vote goes to CAFE CON LECHE, who looked more straightforward than usual and turned in his best effort for some time when collared close home at Navan last week. He is very appealing turned out again quickly off the same mark. Gotta Catch'em All failed by a whisker in a big-field handicap at the Curragh recently and is feared most ahead of Saith Seren.

Narrow preference is for CARRIED WITH LOVE. She is bred to relish this step up in trip and the testing ground should be fine for her.
