12:15 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Buckna was purchased for 350,000 pounds at the Cheltenham sale in March following his point success the week before in Ireland and the four-year-old commands plenty of respect making his Rules debut. However, the vote goes to ADMIRAL STEWART, who may well have needed his first run for Jamie Snowden more than the market anticipated when runner-up in a Hexham bumper and that experience won't be lost on him. Walk In The Hills should prove happier going left handed after a disappointing hurdles bow at Exeter.

Connections went to £350,000 to acquire BUCKNA following his point win in the spring so hopes have to be high that he will follow up on hurdles debut for his in-form yard. Walk On High is an obvious threat, along with Admiral Stewart.

It's probably best to draw a line through how WALK IN THE HILLS performed on his hurdling debut. His bumper form was good.

12:50 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HOBB'S DELIGHT produced a career-best effort when just denied on his first start over fences at Plumpton last month and a 3lb rise may not be enough to stop him from going one better. Wide To West was beginning to get the hang of things at the back end of last season with the seven-year-old scoring over C&D in April. Others to note are The Scorpion King and Montys Soldier.

Rebecca Curtis' mare BRIDGET MAY has made an excellent start to life in this sphere and is fancied to quickly resume winning ways having been set a lot to do when fourth at Uttoxeter last time out. Hobb's Delight shaped well on his debut in this sphere when runner-up at Plumpton so rates a major threat. Wonder Of The Seas, Monty's Soldier and Shillanavogy all need factoring in too.

Perhaps the one with most potential is chasing debutant MONTYS SOLDIER, who impressed on last year's Irish point debut.

13:25 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BLUE LAS made it back-to-back victories at Uttoxeter in April, having improved with each start in bumpers, and the six-year-old is expected to progress now with her attentions switched to hurdling. Andy Amo is entitled to step forward from his second here over further last month, while Jig's Forge, a 75,000-pound purchase at Aintree in the spring, and Stone's Throw head the remainder.

STONE'S THROW made a promising start for Billy Aprahamian when a strong-finishing Ludlow third and can build on it now his stamina is drawn out more and get off the mark. Course runner-up Andy Amo also has better days ahead of him though so rates a big danger, while hurdling newcomers Blue Las, Jig's Forge and Jack To Bat all bring potential too.

Rebecca Curtis won this maiden in 2019 and 2020 and ANDY AMO was probably beaten by a very good horse here last month.

14:00 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LADY HARRIETT showed a liking for first-time cheekpieces when bolting up over C&D earlier in the month and she now has a 7lb penalty to carry. Considering the manner of that victory, she could prove very difficult to beat again. Greenways made a victorious start for the Tom Symonds stable at Hereford and should mount a bold bid, while Fresh Speculation makes most appeal of the remainder.

GREENWAYS was value for extra when making a winning debut for the Tom Symonds yard at Hereford last week and he's fancied to follow up. Tthis contest isn't without dangers though, with the similarly penalised Lady Harriett meriting plenty of respect after her recent C&D success, whilst Fresh Speculation made an encouraging return at Stratford and promises to benefit from the return to this trip.

Effectively only 4lb higher than for his recent Hereford success, GREENWAYS (nap) can follow up under his penalty.

14:35 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lermoos Legend relished the drop in distance when hosing up at this venue on his latest outing and is likely to be thereabouts, despite his 7lb penalty. However, it may pay to side with PEP TALKING, who regained the winning thread in this grade at Uttoxeter at the start of the month and a 5lb rise looks fair. The six-year-old looks up to completing a double, while Higgs is noted too.

PEP TALKING has made an encouraging start for this yard, showing improved form to score at Uttoxeter last time, and looks capable of defying a 5 lb rise. Supasunrise is feared most returned to a more suitable trip, while Bobbi's Beauty is worth another chance to back up her chase debut win.

Preference is for PEP TALKING, who doubled his chasing tally at Uttoxeter recently and is not yet fully exposed over fences.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not beaten far when looking to land the double here over 2m4f in April, WONDERWEASLE kept on well towards the end of that contest, giving the impression that she would appreciate going up in trip. As long as she handles the quicker ground, the six-year-old may have too much for Stratford runner-up It's Easy, and Hedera Park, who was a comfortable winner at Chepstow on her penultimate outing. Triple Nickle cannot be ruled out either.

A host in with chances and it could pay to side with GATA BAN, who took a step back in the right direction at Chepstow a fortnight ago and shaped as though she'll come on again for the outing. Dropped a further 3 lb, she can get the better of Triple Nickle, who has been in good form on the level this summer (won at this course) and was twice runner-up over hurdles in May. It's Easy and Hedera Park are another couple that should go well, too.

It's worth chancing GATA BAN, who shaped well at Chepstow recently and may now be at concert pitch for this third run after a layoff.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An encouraging third on debut at Southwell last month when outpaced before staying on to good effect at the finish, THE LONG WALK is likely to improve plenty for that experience and he can get off the mark on this occasion. Mustang Betty didn't do herself any favours when slowly into stride at Warwick first time out, but she did well to keep on for third and is a key player, along with Rules newcomer Swindon Village.

THE LONG WALK made a promising start when third in a Southwell bumper last month, form which has been boosted by the runner-up winning next time, so he is taken to get off the mark with that experience behind him. Mustang Betty also shaped well on her debut and is feared most, with Collanisi the pick of the debutants for his in-form yard.

Southwell third THE LONG WALK sets a fair standard of rules form and might be the answer.
