14:05 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HEARTRATE shed his maiden tag at the eighth time of asking at Tipperary in May and that form is working out very well, with three subsequent winners coming out of the race. The three-year-old now makes his first start for the Mark Loughnane stable and he could be well up to defying his opening mark of 68. Zoukster scored when he was last seen over this trip at Salisbury, and he is three wins from his last five starts. Lord P is best of the rest.

HEARTRATE beat a subsequent winner when off the mark at the eighth attempt in a maiden at Tipperary and his opening mark looks a good one starting out for a new stable. Vape is now back on his last winning mark so is feared along with The Cruising Lord, who's dropping back down in class.

The oldest runner THE CRUISING LORD is still on a workable mark after his Newbury win in July and will find this easier than last time.

Recovered from sluggish start to take fourth at Sandown last month; this race looks easier.
LTO Selection:

14:40 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hedge Fund made all to go in by just under a length at Wolverhampton on his nursery bow, which was a pleasing display, but he will find it tough off a 4lb higher mark. For that reason, the vote goes to NOTTA NOTHER, who was an encouraging fourth at Sandown in a class 4 event and the handicapper has been kind enough to drop him 2lb for that effort. Crooked Crown sports first-time blinkers and completes the shortlist.

HEDGE FUND showed improved form despite still showing signs of inexperience when scoring on nursery debut at Wolverhampton just under a fortnight ago and with even better to come he's fancied to follow up at the expense of Notta Nother, who looked unsuited by the drop to 5f last time but should be in the mix dropped into Class 5 company. Crooked Crown can fill out third spot.

This is a drop in grade for NOTTA NOTHER, who put in good late work late time and now looks well handicapped on his maiden win.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MAJOR MAJOR is two from his last two since stepping up in trip, and he did it well when justifying favouritism at Windsor. The three-year-old now has to compete off a 4lb higher rating, which is unlikely to halt his progression. Last-time-out victor Different Tone is unexposed over this distance and has to be considered off a 4lb higher mark, while any market support for Navarre Express on her handicap bow should be noted.

DIFFERENT TONE improved for the longer trip when scoring at Lingfield and he looks capable of defying a 4 lb rise. Hat-trick seeking Major Major is a professional sort and looks the obvious threat.

Stoutly bred 3yo DIFFERENT TONE (nap) looked very well suited by the step up to 1m4f when finishing strongly to win readily last month.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Ffos Las Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CHEQUERS COURT made a pleasing start to his career when running into a modest fourth over 7f at Newbury, and he looks primed to offer a bold bid. Richard Hannon's charge is fancied to make his presence felt in these calmer waters and this looks a good chance to shed the maiden tag. Validated is likely to pose the biggest threat to the selection after successive placed efforts, while Green Sigma is respected on debut.

CHEQUERS COURT made an encouraging start to his career at Newbury last month and is narrowly preferred to Sir Mark Prescott's Validated in what may develop into a straight fight between the pair unless the betting vibes are strong surrounding one or more of the newcomers.

Richard Hannon's CHEQUERS COURT kept on nicely for fourth in a good Newbury maiden last month and ought to build on that performance.

LTO Selection:

16:25 Ffos Las Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This race seems to revolve around the performance of debutant MARIRAH, who arrives here for the in-form Roger Varian stable and is taken to get off the mark at the first time of asking. This well-bred daughter of Kingman is related to plenty of winners who have succeeded at this trip and she is likely to offer a bold bid. Naturelle rates as the biggest danger after a very pleasing start to her career when second over 7f at Chepstow, while Minka completes the shortlist.

MUBHIJAH has had a few chances but the form she's achieved when runner-up on her last 3 outings should be good enough to win a race like this and she can make a successful start for new trainer Ed Walker. A strong market move for her debuting former stablemate Marirah would make her a potential big threat. Chepstow second Naturelle should also get involved.

Roger Varian could provide the answer with his well-bred newcomer MARIRAH. Chepstow runner-up Naturelle is next on the list.

LTO Selection:

17:00 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FINEST LEADER remains on a large upward curve having been narrowly beaten by another progressive rival at Kempton last week. He's due to go up another 4lb so this looks a solid opportunity to gain a fourth win of the season. Honeymooner is another youngster on the improve and is likely to ask plenty of questions of the selection. The step up in trip may see Heat Of The Moment in a better light too.

Two well-handicapped 3-y-os clash here. FINEST LEADER improved again when only narrowly denied by a fellow improver (pair 7 lengths clear) at Kempton last week and is preferred to Honeymooner, who looks to have got off lightly with just a 6lb rise for her comfortable Bath success.

It's hard to oppose FINEST LEADER, who has made rapid progress in recent months and is 4lb well in after a big run in defeat last week.

LTO Selection:

17:35 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CEILIDH has been knocking on the door for a while and ran a cracker at Brighton last time. The winner of that race has bolted up again since and he can gain a deserved success. The Cola Kid is another consistent sort and is highly likely to be involved in the finish. Lady Gazelle and Gonzaga have both hinted that there should be more to come and can't be dismissed.

THE COLA KID is by far the most solid proposition in this line-up and can notch a second course win of the summer. Lady Gazelle has fewer convictions than the majority and is second choice on the back of her recent Southwell handicap debut fourth. Ceilidh and White Mist also make the shortlist.

One with some potential is 3yo filly LADY GAZELLE, who moves up in trip after a very encouraging fourth on her handicap debut.
