In what looks a winnable affair, DIAMONDSINTHESAND gets the vote. Adrian Wintle's charge put the race to bed in a matter of strides when scoring comfortably over an extended 7f here last week and, eased in trip under a 4lb penalty, he should be tough to stop provided he arrives in similar form. Bama Lama probably did too much early on when fading into fourth over this trip at Chepstow latest and she must enter calculations off a 1lb lower mark. Endowed is also noteworthy.

The Bath race SISTERS IN THE SKY finished a respectable sixth in has thrown up a couple of next-time-out winners and in the hope he gets a better pace to aim at this time, he could be the answer. Bama Lama drops in grade so commands respect, along with Autumn Angel.

A winner here last week over further, DIAMONDSINTHESAND faces similar conditions and he can defy the penalty.

FLEURIR blotted her copybook with a tame effort on her reappearance when last of eight over a mile at Bath in May, but she had previously shown enough to suggest that there are races in her off this mark, most notably when bolting up in a Pontefract maiden on her penultimate start. With that in mind, the daughter of Justify gets the vote to bounce back. Raimunda was probably too keen for her own good when fifth over a mile at Sandown recently and, subsequently eased 2lb, she is respected provided she puts in a more professional display. King's Vanity is another to consider.

FLEURIR's reappearance run is easy to forgive and given she lurks on a good mark on the pick of her 3-y-o form, she's taken to get it right this time. Hodler usually runs in better handicaps than this so he needs considering, along with Raimunda.

This can go to RAIMUNDA who has no questions to answer on heavy ground and this looks easier than at Sandown last time.

The relatively experienced TIMES EDITION looked unsuited by the way the race developed when finishing runner-up behind an all-the-way winner over an extended mile at Nottingham recently, but the way she pulled clear of the third suggested that she is very much a winner in waiting and she edges preference in what looks a trappy affair. Heart Of The City followed her promising debut second over 7f at Newmarket with a low-key effort over the same distance at Wolverhampton, but the daughter of Night Of Thunder is surely capable of better and merits serious respect. Angel Rose may outrun her forecast odds.

FLAG OF LOVE isn't really bred for this far but she stuck to her task really well when second to a pretty useful one at Haydock last month and on that evidence, she's just about the most persuasive option. Heart of The City is a huge threat if casting aside a poor run on the AW, while Native Souvenir is a likely-looking newcomer.

Preference is for TIMES EDITION who has at least proved herself on a soft surface and that could count for plenty.

DAANY struggled to land a blow here earlier in the month when in handicap company, but the seven-year-old, who scored over C&D in this grade the time before, may well bounce back on this occasion. Pearl Sands is better judged on his second at Thirsk and is likely to enter the reckoning along with Tres Chic, who has the assistance of Billy Loughnane in the saddle.

PEARL SANDS looked on the way back at Thirsk before not seen to best effect at Beverley, so is worth another chance. Tres Chic and Daany are feared most on these terms.

All of these come with risks at the best of times. TRES CHIC struggles with her consistency but today's weights give her every chance.

A testing surface seemed to be the key for improvement with last week's C&D heroine DRUSILLA as the daughter of Saxon Warrior gained her first ever success. Despite having a 6lb penalty to overcome, she has similar conditions to aid her cause in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Budding is expected to benefit from wind surgery on his first start since the end of May, while Beverley runner-up Solar Bentley completes the shortlist.

DRUSILLA showed much improved form to get off the mark under similar conditions over C&D last week and looks capable of defying a penalty. Solar Bentley made a promising start for this yard when second at Beverley and is feared most.

The well-bred filly DRUSILLA looked very much at home under these conditions when making all last week and she can go in again.

THREE DONS arrives in tremendous form having made it five wins from his last seven outings over this C&D last Friday. The five-year-old has showcased his versatility on different types of ground and Tony Carroll's gelding may prove a tough nut to crack under a 5lb penalty. Surrey Charm made a winning reappearance at Chepstow last July off a 2lb lower mark and is respected with a first-time tongue-tie applied. Foinix and Sonnet Star appeal most of the remainder.

THREE DONS made it 5 wins from his last 7 starts in good style over C&D last week and can defy a penalty. Sonnet Star is coming back to her best off her reduced mark and is next best.

It's been a common theme on the card to trust those with heavy-ground form and THREE DONS (nap) relished the conditions here last week.
